The Innocent 'Green Tea' Alpha at Home is Actually My Boss - Chapter 18
Hot breath sprayed against the side of his neck. Sang Weilian raised his arms to circle Lu Lin’s neck, his eyes misty and dazed.
In the dim light, his dark blue pupils looked like priceless gems; even veiled by a layer of water mist, their radiance could not be hidden.
Lu Lin’s Adam’s apple bobbed. The thick, intense scent of wild roses enveloped him completely. Having used a massive amount of pheromones earlier that evening to suppress other Alphas, his self-control was weaker than usual, showing signs of an imminent collapse.
Furthermore, Sang Weilian’s current state was clearly abnormal it was too similar to when the two of them first met.
In this state, Sang Weilian was not lucid.
“Brother, are you okay?” Every word Lu Lin spoke allowed the wild rose pheromones to claw their way more aggressively into his body.
He was forced to release a large amount of his own pheromones once again. The scents of mountain springs and wild roses collided in the air, but instead of cooling the atmosphere, the tension only grew more feverish.
Sang Weilian said nothing; he simply leaned against Lu Lin’s neck, rubbing against him with extreme dependence.
His lip pearl and the tip of his nose brushed against the honey-colored skin from time to time. His scorching breath created streaks of damp moisture both burning and chilling at once.
“It hurts… bite me…” Seeing that the Alpha before him remained motionless, Sang Weilian urged him with impatience.
Lu Lin’s temples throbbed. The forearm gripping Sang Weilian’s waist was strained to the point of veins bulging. At some point, Sang Weilian had already torn off the scent-blocking patch that had been haphazardly stuck over his gland.
Lu Lin lowered his head toward the swollen, burning gland, yet he hesitated.
Sang Weilian was not conscious right now; did he even know that the person he was being intimate with was him?
Lu Lin hadn’t even figured out why Sang Weilian was angry yet was it really okay to do this now?
Sang Weilian didn’t understand why the Alpha wasn’t moving. No matter how blurry his vision was, he could feel that this man was restraining himself to the point of losing control.
Usually, he was so obedient.
Turning his head, Sang Weilian bit down hard on the soft flesh where Lu Lin’s neck met his shoulder.
He used his full strength, only letting go when the metallic taste of rust blood filled his mouth. “Lu Lin, why aren’t you listening to me?”
His tone carried a hint of grievance and complaint, mixed with irritation and urgency.
Hearing his own name, Lu Lin’s suspended heart finally settled. He drew close to that soft, tender gland emitting a bewitching fragrance and bit down.
Teeth pierced the thin skin. Sensing its master’s urgency, the mountain spring pheromones surged violently into Sang Weilian’s body, until every inch of his skin and every pore radiated Lu Lin’s scent.
Sang Weilian leaned his entire weight against Lu Lin, his feet leaving the ground as he was held steadily.
Lu Lin worried that losing control might hurt Sang Weilian, so he kept the marking process exceptionally brief. Once he had left a bite mark to confirm the temporary mark was established, he released his teeth.
However, Sang Weilian was still not satisfied. After the temporary marking, his dependence on the Alpha only increased. He clung tightly to Lu Lin’s neck, hanging off him like a koala.
The lower halves of their bodies were pressed tightly together; there was a constant danger of things sparking out of control.
Lu Lin’s voice was low and hoarse. “Brother, let’s go home first, okay?”
As he spoke, he picked Sang Weilian up and placed him on the small single bed in the lounge, reaching out to touch his forehead.
It was very hot. Even with the temporary mark, his body temperature hadn’t dropped.
Sang Weilian unconsciously rubbed his cheek against Lu Lin’s palm. A flash of white caught the corner of his eye, and he stiffened. It was as if a bucket of ice water had been poured over him from head to toe, snapping him into instant clarity.
Pushing Lu Lin away, Sang Weilian took a deep breath and asked, “Is the wound stitched up?”
The room was filled with a dense scent of pheromones that should have made one dizzy and weak. Sang Weilian wasn’t much better off, but in that instant, he had reclaimed control of his brain from his instincts.
The lingering, ambiguous atmosphere vanished instantly. Lu Lin froze for a moment before answering, “It’s stitched.”
“Brother, you…”
“I’m going to talk to Dr. Xu.” Having said that, Sang Weilian’s feet hit the floor, completely detaching himself from the light, airy cloud he had been floating on.
Lu Lin stood still, staring at Sang Weilian’s back.
He had originally wanted to ask, “Brother, do you feel any better?” but the unspoken words were ultimately swallowed back down.
Walking out of the lounge, Sang Weilian breathed in the fresh air of the corridor. His mind became clearer and clearer; the temporary mark was starting to take effect.
He found Dr. Xu and asked, “Is there anything I need to watch out for with Lu Lin’s injury?”
“Make sure it doesn’t touch water. I’ve prescribed medicine for him; it needs to be applied regularly, and the anti-inflammatory pills must be taken on time. The bandages need changing too. I’ve written the specifics on the medicine box,” Dr. Xu explained one by one. “If the recovery goes well, the stitches can come out in ten days.”
“When it’s time for the removal, will you contact me, Mr. Sang?”
“Yes,” Sang Weilian nodded. “His injury… will it leave a scar?”
“That depends on his own healing ability. However, he is an Alpha, and Alphas usually have the best recovery rates. The chance of scarring is low,” Dr. Xu said truthfully.
Sang Weilian felt a slight sense of relief. After a long moment, he nodded. “I see. Sorry for the trouble today.”
“It’s no trouble at all.”
Watching Sang Weilian walk away, Dr. Xu’s eyes gradually widened.
Sang Weilian wasn’t wearing a high-collared shirt, and there was a distinct tooth mark on the gland at the back of his neck clearly left just moments ago.
As expected, that Alpha named Lu Lin must be “the one” from the rumors.
“Let’s go, let’s go home,” Sang Weilian said. Seeing the medicine bag Lu Lin had picked up at some point, he reached out and took it.
Lu Lin agreed and followed him to the parking lot.
Halfway through the drive, Wang Gu called. Sang Weilian put it on speakerphone immediately.
“I’ve already coordinated with the police. They won’t leak any news for now. Are you okay?” Wang Gu was quite worried; he feared Sang Weilian’s pheromone disorder would flare up.
“I’m fine.” Sang Weilian dismissed his own state with three simple words.
“What about Lu Lin? How is his injury?”
Sang Weilian instinctively looked at Lu Lin, who immediately replied, “Mr. Wang, I’m fine too.”
“Oh, oh, that’s good then. Then…”
“I’m a bit tired, Wang Gu. You worked hard today, go home early. We’ll talk about anything else when we meet tomorrow,” Sang Weilian said in a heavy tone.
On the other end, Wang Gu paused. “Okay, see you tomorrow.”
The call ended, and the car fell into a difficult silence again until Lu Lin noticed the direction they were driving wasn’t quite right.
“Brother, this doesn’t seem to be the way to your house?”
Sang Weilian hit the brakes and pulled over to the side. He took a deep breath before saying, “I’ll stay at your place tonight, is that okay?”
Lu Lin blinked. “Of course, it’s just… my place is quite small.”
The apartment in Cuiya Garden was arranged by Wan Tianhai. He had specifically chosen an ordinary, somewhat old residential building back then; he was afraid Sang Weilian wouldn’t be used to it.
“It’s fine. My house needs cleaning, and it smells of other Alphas. I don’t want to go back,” Sang Weilian said, relieved.
He really didn’t want to go back and see the mess, nor the blood Lu Lin had shed because of him.
“Okay, then we’ll go to my place,” Lu Lin agreed with a smile.
Sang Weilian had a good memory; having been to Cuiya Garden once, he was very familiar with it. At the entrance of the complex, Lu Lin sat in the passenger seat giving directions until they reached the very last building.
The stairwell was pitch black. The motion-sensor lights were broken, so they had to use phone lights to see the steps.
Fearing Sang Weilian might trip in the unfamiliar territory, Lu Lin naturally took his hand.
The two entered the house one after the other. Lu Lin fumbled to turn on the light and brought out a pair of slippers for Sang Weilian.
“These are new.”
Sang Weilian acknowledged him and scanned the interior after changing shoes.
The place wasn’t large estimated at less than a hundred square meters. Although the walls were a bit old, there were few belongings and it was kept very clean.
“I only have one bedroom. Brother, you take the bedroom; I’ll make do on the sofa for the night.” As Lu Lin spoke, he went to the wardrobe to pull out some clean clothes. “These are new. They might be a bit large, but you should be able to wear them.”
Mid-sentence, seeing Sang Weilian staring at him without reaching out or moving, he thought the older man didn’t like them.
“Or I can go out and buy some, brother you first—”
Before he could finish, Sang Weilian stepped forward and took the clothes from his hands. “I can wear them. You go wash up first; I’ll figure it out.”
Lu Lin blinked. “But it might not be convenient for me to shower. I’ll just wipe down with a hot towel in a bit. It’s just that I sweated a lot, so my back might…”
Sang Weilian paused. He tossed the clothes onto the nearby sofa and half-pushed Lu Lin toward the bathroom. “I know. I’ll help you.”
While Sang Weilian’s eyes were lowered, Lu Lin curled his lips into a smile, his voice full of delight. “Okay.”
The bathroom was small, making it a bit cramped for two people.
When Sang Weilian helped Lu Lin undress and saw the knife slits in his leather jacket and shirt, he held them for a long while before saying, “Don’t keep these clothes. I’ll buy you some new ones later.”
Lu Lin deferred to him entirely. “Okay, I won’t keep them.”
Only then did Sang Weilian feel slightly better, tossing the clothes aside.
Under the bright light, Lu Lin’s physique was on full display.
He had broad shoulders and a narrow waist, with smooth, powerful muscle lines that were well-defined without being overly bulky. The contours of his chest and abdominal muscles were distinct, every inch of skin looking as if it were meticulously sculpted, radiating a healthy glow like a polished statue.
Except for the knife wound at his waist, which was an eyesore.
Sang Weilian instinctively reached out. Before his fingertip touched, he worried about infection and pulled back, redirecting his hand to the waistband of Lu Lin’s trousers.
He unfastened them naturally. Lu Lin caught his hand. “Brother, the pants I can do myself…”
Sang Weilian looked up, perfectly composed. “It’s not like I haven’t seen it before.”
Lu Lin, however, was truly uneasy. It wasn’t that he was afraid of being seen; it was that he was afraid of losing his grip. Holding back every single time was becoming quite taxing. But since Sang Weilian had said so, he could only bite the bullet and agree. “…Then I’ll trouble you, Brother.”
Sang Weilian continued his movements. At first, he didn’t think much of it, but when the back of his hand accidentally brushed against a sensitive area, the heat made him shiver. Belatedly, he realized this was somewhat inappropriate.
He didn’t know about other Alphas, but Lu Lin was truly… exceptionally gifted.
Once the thought started, he couldn’t stop it. Various past absurdities flashed through his mind.
To calm himself down, Sang Weilian tried to numb himself with the events of the evening. But as soon as Liu Yingguang’s distorted face appeared, his expression changed, and a surge of discomfort washed over him.
Ignoring everything else, he quickly turned around and pulled off his own pullover, revealing a pale, elegant back. “Take them off yourself. I need to wash up too.”
