- Chapter 25 - Handsome A-Rank Male Excellency
One day, when Xi Ya saw Cen Li walking down from the floor above, the water glass in his hand fell to the ground with a loud crash. That was right. He was walking down.
Xi Ya’s brain short circuited for a moment. Although he had prepared himself for the possibility that Cen Li might stand up one day, he had not expected this day to come so soon. Having broken the glass, Xi Ya suddenly became frantic. Shards of glass were scattered everywhere, and the once clean floor was now soaking wet.
Cen Li descended the stairs step by step. Seeing Xi Ya’s panicked figure from a distance, he furrowed his brows. Xi Ya crouched on the floor and finally managed to clear the mess. The moment he stood up, he came face to face with Cen Li, who had walked over to his side at some unknown point.
Xi Ya froze on the spot. “Male Sovereign.”
If the Male Sovereign of the past was enough to strike fear into an insect, then the current Cen Li, tall, long legged, and sharp featured, was even more oppressive. Terrified, Xi Ya shrunk into his clothes and kept his head down, staring at his own toes. After a long while, hearing no sound, he looked up to find that the Male Sovereign had long since walked away.
Cen Li bypassed him entirely and headed toward the dining table. Xi Ya was stunned and hurriedly followed. Only when his back was turned to the male, away from Cen Li’s eyes that were as cold as a frozen pool, did Xi Ya feel a trace of safety. He could not help but steal glances at Cen Li, his gaze lingering on the male’s lean, narrow waist. His breathing slowed instinctively.
Xi Ya suppressed his inner fear and spoke. “Male Sovereign, you are completely recovered.”
Cen Li gave a faint hum of affirmation.
When they reached the dining area, Xi Ya walked ahead quickly to pull out a chair for him attentively, then sat down one seat away from the male. Cen Li’s dining etiquette was excellent. His utensils hardly made a sound against the bowls, and his slow, deliberate movements were quite a sight to behold.
Xi Ya, however, could not sit still, his eyes darting around restlessly. Ever since the incident where he was caught drugging the male and was nearly kicked out by Cen Li, he had become even more cautious in his every word and action. This anxiety of being discarded by the Male Sovereign at any moment left him feeling like a piece of floating weed, unable to find solid ground.
He instinctively felt the need to do something to please Cen Li. Xi Ya ventured tentatively, “Admiral Derek will surely be very happy when he hears this news. I will contact your female father for you immediately.”
Cen Li glanced at him with a neutral gaze and did not refuse. The news of his full recovery would be known to everyone sooner or later; there was no need to hide it. Besides, Cen Li wanted to see the reactions of insects like Renzo.
Having received Cen Li’s silent permission, Xi Ya contacted Admiral Derek quickly after the meal. The Admiral’s level of concern for his child far exceeded Cen Li’s imagination. In less than half an hour, Cen Li saw Admiral Derek being led in by the smart butler, followed closely by Asher.
Asher had happened to run into Admiral Derek on the way to the military department. The Admiral had dragged him away without explanation, criticizing him along the way for not caring enough about his Male Sovereign. Asher had been scolded in a daze, not even having the time to figure out the reason behind it. Today, after preparing breakfast, he had left everything else to the smart butler. Robot insects had real time monitoring functions, so Asher was not worried about anyone tampering with things.
Only now did Asher understand why Admiral Derek was so anxious and urgent.
As soon as the two insects entered the door, they saw Cen Li on the sofa after only a few steps. Looking down, there was no wheelchair in sight.
Admiral Derek’s expression became instantly excited as he stepped forward. “Xiao Li, have you really fully recovered? Xi Ya did not lie to me?”
Cen Li turned his head at the sound, and Derek finally saw his clean, handsome face clearly.
“Your face is healed too?!”
A wave of immense joy surged through Admiral Derek, making his voice tremble slightly.
“Yes, female father, I am completely healed.”
As if to confirm Admiral Derek’s words, Cen Li put down the interstellar magazine in his hand, stood up, and walked a few steps toward him. His movements were fluid and effortless, without the slightest hint of strain. He was no longer the male who needed a wheelchair at all times.
“Good, very good.”
Admiral Derek looked at Cen Li’s strong, solid legs beneath his trousers and nodded repeatedly, his joy beyond words. “I will tell your male father about this. He will surely be very happy as well.”
Admiral Derek scrutinized Cen Li carefully from head to toe twice. Then, he let out a heavy sigh of relief, a smile even reaching the corners of his brows. “We are going to the hospital now for a full body check up. Only then can I be completely at ease,” Admiral Derek said in a tone that brooked no argument.
Cen Li’s illness and recovery were both too sudden, so bizarre that it was hard to process. Admiral Derek urgently needed confirmation from the Empire’s most authoritative experts. Thus, Cen Li was taken to the hospital and underwent an exhaustive examination.
“Excellency, there are no issues with your physical condition,” the doctor holding the test report stated with certainty. When he looked up again at the male’s flawless face, his eyes were filled with both surprise and confusion.
He was responsible for Cen Li’s annual physical examinations, so no insect knew the state of the male’s body better than he did. With almost no warning, Cen Li’s body had completely healed itself. This sounded absolutely incredible.
“Doctor, are you certain?” Admiral Derek’s aura was majestic, his hawk like gaze fixed on the doctor.
The doctor’s expression was serious as he gave his affirmation. “I am very certain, Admiral.”
He handed the test results to Admiral Derek. The shock in his heart was not a bit less than Admiral Derek’s when he first found out. This was simply a medical miracle.
“Look! There is a very handsome Male Excellency over there.”
“Heavens, it is true! Why would a male come to the hospital? Is he ill?”
“Insect God above, please transfer this Excellency’s pain to me. A physically weak male surely cannot endure the torment of illness.”
“He looks even more elegant and handsome than the most popular male, Chloe.”
“If I were to faint, would this Excellency come to help me? He looks very polite; he must be different from those brutal males.”
Just after leaving the consultation room, Cen Li was scrutinized by various incoming gazes. Hearing the faint whispers of their conversation, Cen Li’s expression turned strange.
He was actually considered a tyrannical and lawless male; surely no insect could be more brutal than the original soul.
The discussions of the female insects, which were intentionally kept low, could not escape the ears of Admiral Derek. He felt both moved and relieved. If not for that sudden accident, Cen Li should have been just like this, looked up to and pursued by everyone.
A handsome A-rank Male Excellency was enough to make most female insects flock to him.
