The Green Tea Omega Has Turned Bad - Chapter 7
School Doctor: “You need to pay attention to your health lately; remember to take your medicine on time. If anything happens, be sure to request a leave of absence.”
Shang Wandong took the medicine bottle and nodded. “I understand. Thank you, teacher.”
Just as she finished speaking, the door to the medical room was pushed open in a hurry.
The two of them turned their heads, only to see a dense crowd of people rushing through the door. The girl leading them had someone draped over her shoulder, followed by a tall boy with his head hanging low.
The girl shouted anxiously, “Teacher, please help! A classmate in our class fainted!”
Shang Wandong saw clearly at a single glance that the person with the drooping head, unconscious on the girl’s shoulder, was actually Yan Xia. Her expression shifted instantly.
She stood up and walked quickly to the girl, asking, “What happened?”
That girl was the class monitor of Class F. When she saw Shang Wandong, she was somewhat surprised but responded quickly: “Just now, everyone had a bit of a conflict. Later, Zhu Yuxing released some pheromones, and Yan Xia fainted.”
Zhu Yuxing followed behind with a dark face, saying stiffly, “I think she’s faking it.”
The monitor said crossly, “This is all your fault! Just shut up!”
The school doctor hurriedly rose and settled Yan Xia onto the adjacent hospital bed. After asking the monitor about the development of the situation, she frowned with displeasure. “The school rules forbid using pheromones to provoke classmates. Have you forgotten?”
On the bed, Yan Xia’s face was pale and her eyes were tightly shut; she looked fragile and pitiful. Shang Wandong moved very gently to remove the glasses from her face, placing them on the table, her breathing deep.
Zhu Yuxing looked away and sneered, “Then she can only blame herself for provoking me first. I was too angry and forgot for a moment.”
The monitor said, “If you hadn’t scribbled all over Yan Xia’s English book, she wouldn’t have provoked you.”
“I’ve drawn in it before and she never did anything! Who knew she’d suddenly go crazy today,” Zhu Yuxing said without a shred of reflection, his face practically screaming that she deserved it. “Tch.”
The school doctor was measuring Yan Xia’s temperature. Hearing this, her face instantly went cold. “Student, how can you bully others? This is very bad behavior!”
Zhu Yuxing gave a nonchalant hum and said nothing.
Yan Xia was often bullied in the past, but she didn’t dare to complain because once she did, her life in class would become even harder.
She had once told Zhao Daimann that she was being bullied, but Zhao Daimann had said: “Children playing and scuffling how can that be called bullying? Besides, if you’re perfectly fine, why would you be bullied? It takes two to tango; you should look for the reason within yourself.”
Over time, Yan Xia stopped talking about it; no one believed her.
Although the Yan family was wealthy and powerful, it seemed that no one liked this second young miss. Zhao Daimann was a pampered lady who never lifted a finger; when she had nothing to do, she liked to go shopping with her socialite friends and rarely managed the household. Her father, Yan Chengjin, was stern and unsmiling, busy with his career all day and rarely returning home.
Even when the two did return home, their favorites were the high-achieving Yan Yonggui and Yan Siqiu. The plain and unremarkable Yan Xia had never received much care. Although her food and housing were not neglected and her monthly allowance was much higher than that of ordinary families, she was sandwiched between them like a guest living in a luxury mansion.
Therefore, rumors spread that the reason Yan Xia was disliked was perhaps that she was an illegitimate daughter who couldn’t see the light of day, born from some illicit affair, which was why she was unloved by her father and mother.
After this incident, many people began to openly bully Yan Xia, even extorting a lot of allowance money from her. Zhu Yuxing did this frequently.
Shang Wandong ignored her surroundings and looked intently at Yan Xia, asking, “Teacher Ye, how is she?”
Doctor Ye nodded. “Her temperature is normal and there are no injuries on her body. She should just be affected by the pheromones. I’ll go dispense some medicine for her; you stay here and help keep an eye on her for a moment.” Having said that, she got up and went to the inner room.
Shang Wandong’s breathing became steady as she nodded.
The class monitor also breathed a sigh of relief. “Phew, that’s good then.”
Zhu Yuxing sneered, “Heh, what kind of ‘good person’ are you pretending to be here? Why didn’t you help her just now?”
The monitor’s face turned red instantly. Zhu Yuxing’s family was wealthier than hers and not to be offended. Every time she saw Yan Xia being bullied, she could only turn a blind eye. Just now, seeing that things were about to spiral out of control, she had finally intervened; otherwise, if the teacher asked, she wouldn’t be able to escape responsibility.
The monitor lowered her head. “No… no matter what you say, you should apologize to Yan Xia.”
The several classmates behind her also began to chatter, one after another: “Yeah, no matter how you look at it, you’re in the wrong!”
“Exactly, scaring someone into a faint is a bit too much.”
Zhu Yuxing’s eyes widened. His features were fierce, and he looked quite sinister. “Bullsh*t! Her acting just now was so exaggerated, she’s definitely faking it, okay? Why should I apologize? I didn’t do anything!”
On the bed, Yan Xia seemed affected by the arguing; her eyelashes trembled uneasily.
Shang Wandong suddenly said coldly, “Everyone, shut up.”
The several classmates looked at her and fell silent instantly.
Zhu Yuxing glanced at her. He knew Shang Wandong the top student of Class A, ranked first in the grade in the last exam. The Shang Group was also famous in the circles of power and wealth; it was a force he could not afford to offend right now.
Thus, he stopped talking as well, though his expression remained disdainful.
Amidst the tense atmosphere, the eyelashes of the pale girl on the bed fluttered, and she slowly woke up.
Shang Wandong said in a low voice, “You’re awake.”
Yan Xia saw her, her gaze vacant as if she were extremely shocked. She asked in a weak tone, “Ah, why are you here?”
Shang Wandong handed her a glass of warm water. “I came to get medicine and happened to run into them carrying you in.”
Seeing this, the monitor was also relieved. “Yan Xia, you’re finally awake! Are you okay?”
Yan Xia rested against the snow-white pillow, which made her pale face look even more drained. She sat up, moving her lips slightly, and slowly sipped the warm water from the cup.
“Since you’re awake, everything’s fine.” Seeing her wake up, Zhu Yuxing shrugged, unconcerned. “Can we leave now?”
He had long since grown impatient and was beckoning people to leave quickly when a thin hand grabbed the hem of his clothes.
Lowering her head, Yan Xia looked at him with narrowed eyes, her breath weak: “You haven’t apologized yet.”
She wasn’t affected by pheromones at all; in fact, she hadn’t fainted just now. She just wanted to hear what they were saying.
But what surprised her most was that Shang Wandong was actually here.
What a coincidence. She could use this wave to harvest some favorability.
Zhu Yuxing’s face darkened again. “Apologize to your mother!”
Yan Xia coughed intermittently, her cheeks flushed with the redness of illness and her eyes shimmering with tears. She looked incredibly pitiful, yet her gaze remained stubbornly fixed on him.
“Apologize. And my English book.”
The monitor also began to lose her patience. “Can’t you speak a bit more softly? You caused her to faint.”
“What does that have to do with me?! She brought it on herself!”
Someone like Zhu Yuxing, who was used to bullying the female lead, took it as a matter of course and likely truly didn’t think he was wrong. In his agitation, a few strands of Alpha pheromones inevitably leaked out.
Yan Xia pursed her lips and frowned. “My head is a bit dizzy…”
As soon as her words fell, she felt the air pressure around her drop sharply.
Shang Wandong stood up expressionlessly. Although she usually wore a cold face, it was even more so today. That invisible pressure made it difficult for people to breathe.
“Zhu Yuxing?” Shang Wandong walked up to the tall Alpha, sizing him up with a cold tone.
The air was dead silent.
Zhu Yuxing felt as if he were being scanned from head to toe by a precision instrument. A bitter sea breeze forced its way into his nose and mouth, and his lungs felt as if they had inhaled a mouthful of boiling flame.
The rejection inherent in close-range contact between Alphas made him extremely uncomfortable.
Zhu Yuxing braced himself, squeezing out word by word through his teeth: “What do you want?”
Shang Wandong never initiated attacks on others, but once she took action, she would be more decisive than anyone else.
So, Shang Wandong said to him: “Starting now, you are expelled.”
