The Green Tea Omega Has Turned Bad - Chapter 29
Yan Xia’s first reaction was that she was finished.
She closed her eyes peacefully, wearing an expression as if she were about to pass away: “System, goodbye. Let the mission end here.”
There is no hope left; let the world be destroyed!
The System was suffocating, feeling as though it were about to faint: “Don’t stop now, Host pull yourself together! You still have items!!!”
Yan Xia suddenly snapped her eyes open, a flash of inspiration hitting her: “You’re right!”
“Exactly, exactly!” the System said actively. “You haven’t used any of your other items even once yet!”
Yan Xia slapped her forehead: That’s right, why didn’t I think of that?
She calculated the items currently in her hands: a black magnetic tape that could return to the past, an unlimited-use invisibility card, and a one-time-use X-ray vision card.
It was impossible to use invisibility to flee the scene, right? Shang Wandong wasn’t blind.
Now, only the rewind tape was usable.
Yan Xia selected the black magnetic tape from her mind, intending to use it, but suddenly stopped her movements.
Seeing this, the System asked anxiously: “Host, what’s wrong?”
“I want to know what Shang Wandong’s reaction is right now,” Yan Xia said in a low voice. “Aren’t you curious?”
System: “…”
Yan Xia coaxed: “I’ll just take one look, just one look. I’ll leave right after watching!”
The System sighed: “Host, you can certainly do that, but I must remind you: if the Corruption Value rises sharply to 60% because of this, the entire world might collapse directly. By then, the mission can only be restarted from the beginning. Therefore, it is best to leave directly while she hasn’t reacted yet…”
Yan Xia pondered for a moment, but still did not use it.
What the System said was not without reason, but what if Shang Wandong actually didn’t care that she was an Alpha?
If they ended up together in the end, but she kept this matter hidden the whole time, the truth would eventually be exposed by Shang Wandong because Alphas cannot mark each other.
When the day the truth came to light arrived, Shang Wandong might blame her for lying from beginning to end and doubt whether she was ever sincere.
If long-term deception exists between a couple, the chain of trust will break and collapse bit by bit.
The longer this matter is dragged out, the more it becomes a hidden danger. Rather than waiting to have a massive fight in the future, it is better to clarify it now.
If the Corruption Value really rises, she can just use the rewind tape then.
She looked at Shang Wandong in front of her and subconsciously swallowed her throat.
“Sister.”
Shang Wandong’s eyes were half-drooped, and the black bite-guard shimmered with a metallic luster, covering most of the expression on the lower half of her face.
She looked neither angry nor disappointed; it was just that the sea salt pheromones floating around became increasingly thick.
Pheromones between Alphas instinctively suppress and repel one another. That sensation was as if millions of pounds of heavy weight were pressing on one’s back, heavy to an appalling degree, making it difficult to breathe.
The several people lying on the ground had already turned pale, like dehydrated sea fish, hunching their waists and panting intermittently.
“Sister Xia…” the Alpha at her feet groaned in pain, “It… it was us who were wrong… You, you should release us…”
Yan Xia: “…You all leave first. You are not allowed to go out and talk nonsense about today’s matters.”
This was a private matter between her and Shang Wandong; she indeed did not need others to be present.
The several people thanked her hurriedly, scrambling over Shang Wandong with hands and feet, and escaped the alley as if running for their lives.
Meanwhile, Shang Wandong stood there, her gaze fixed on Yan Xia’s face the entire time. The scent of the sea breeze covered the sky and the earth, salty and bitter, like a tsunami or a giant wave surging forth, violent and frenzied.
“Sister?” Yan Xia took a step toward her, feeling guilty and worried, “I didn’t mean to hide it from you on purpose…”
Shang Wandong did not respond, standing in silence.
Unknowingly, the setting sun hid into the heavy clouds, and the distant afterglow was slowly fading away.
The sky gradually darkened.
The atmosphere was heavy, and Yan Xia felt somewhat uneasy: “System, has this world already collapsed?”
The System said calmly: “It hasn’t. Even the Corruption Value hasn’t risen.”
Yan Xia was shocked: “It didn’t even rise by 1%?!”
“No,” the System said, “Host, there is no change at all.”
This was too strange.
Yan Xia simply gritted her teeth and walked over. She stopped in front of Shang Wandong and waved her hand in front of the other person’s eyes.
“Sister, are you okay?”
The thick sea salt pheromones instantly wrapped her entire being inside.
Shang Wandong blinked very lightly, her eyelashes trembling slightly.
She seemed to have just reacted, taking a few steps back and saying hoarsely: “…Stay away from me.”
Yan Xia was stunned.
So, Shang Wandong still could not accept that she was an Alpha?
She lowered her eyes and said dejectedly: “…I understand.”
Behind the bite-guard, Shang Wandong’s lips pressed into a straight line. She took a deep breath and looked away.
Her brain throbbed with pain as if it were about to explode. The lemon fragrance lingered in the narrow space, appearing and disappearing like a soft, smooth silk scarf, tightly binding her consciousness.
She couldn’t stay here, otherwise…
She rubbed her temple and walked toward the alley entrance unsteadily.
Every step was like stepping on a soft beach; her whole person was about to sink into the fragrant and intense fruity scent.
Yan Xia’s mind was in a turmoil, but seeing her staggering back, she subconsciously ran over: “Sister, are you really okay?”
Shang Wandong paused, her voice cold: “I’m fine.”
Yan Xia was alarmed: It’s over, it’s over! She seems to be really angry.
In the next second, however, she saw the corners of Shang Wandong’s eyes gradually turn a faint red.
Like a vibrant spray of red plum blossoms on a vast white snowy field, it carried a bit of coldness and an unconscious charm.
With red eyes, Shang Wandong said ruthlessly: “Don’t come over anymore.”
She didn’t know that speaking this way actually had no lethality at all; it was more like a fierce fox biting its master’s hand, while its sharp teeth gently scraped across the fingertips.
Yan Xia paused and said, “Sister, you are not right.”
She approached Shang Wandong and gently placed one hand on Shang Wandong’s forehead.
The skin was startlingly hot.
The pheromones instinctively resisted, and the contact with the skin brought bursts of stinging pain. Consciousness was like a fortress built high on a beach, being washed away bit by bit by the waves.
Shang Wandong’s whole body was burning with heat, and she squeezed out a word through her teeth: “Go.”
System: “Oh my god, what suddenly happened to Shang Wandong?”
Yan Xia analyzed calmly: “It might be because of the Rut. The effect of the inhibitor has worn off, and she is being influenced by the chaotic Alpha pheromones here.”
The System said in a panic: “Then we must quickly take her away from here!”
Yan Xia shook her head: “It won’t work. If she walks back like this, covered in pheromones, she will definitely affect others.”
Shang Wandong avoided her hand and turned her head away, her breathing becoming heavier.
The tips of her ears, her cheeks, and even her neck slowly became stained with a layer of gorgeous crimson.
“Go away.”
Yan Xia lowered her eyes and curled the corners of her mouth, propping one hand against the wall behind Shang Wandong.
The System was dumbfounded: Holy crap! Why the sudden wall-slam (kabedon)!
Shang Wandong’s whole body shuddered.
Her calm face was broken; she looked up at Yan Xia in surprise: “You…”
“You can’t go back like this; something will happen.” Yan Xia’s gaze fell upon her bite-guard.
She reached out her hand, her fingertips hooking the strap behind Shang Wandong’s head, pulling it out bit by bit.
Shang Wandong’s breath hitched. Guessing what she wanted to do, she subconsciously dodged: “No!”
“Sister, now you already know I am an Alpha.” Yan Xia lowered her eyes and coaxed her softly, “I can help you.”
If an Alpha in Rut cannot find a release, they will constantly face mental torture.
The best way for an Alpha to be comforted is to mark someone.
“This is the only way.” Yan Xia whispered in her ear, “Bite me.”
Shang Wandong bit her lip, the corners of her eyes were red, and the sea salt pheromones exploded violently, faintly showing signs of being uncontrollable.
She suddenly reached out, wanting to push Yan Xia away, but was blocked by the other person. Both her hands were raised above her head and forcibly pinned against the wall.
An Alpha in Rut has more irritable strength than usual. Shang Wandong wanted to shove her aside but then paused.
“Don’t be afraid, I won’t be fully marked,” Yan Xia comforted her in a low voice.
An Alpha’s glands are not fully developed; they won’t be completely marked, they will only temporarily enter a pseudo-estrus period.
Shang Wandong frowned, maintaining her remaining shred of reason: “It will hurt you a lot.”
Yan Xia crinkled her eyes and leaned close to Shang Wandong, gently kissing the corner of her mouth through the bite-guard.
“I’m not afraid of pain,” she said tenderly, “I’m afraid of you suffering more than me.”
Shang Wandong trembled and closed her eyes. The last sliver of clarity in her mind gradually blurred, and along with the surge of emotions, irrepressible desire also descended.
The bite-guard was gently removed and tossed aside.
Yan Xia released Shang Wandong’s hands and brushed away her long hair, revealing her fair nape.
She wrapped her arms around Shang Wandong and leaned herself forward, like a prey actively exposing its weakness.
“Bite me!”
In the next second, a sharp pain shot from her carotid artery.
Yan Xia’s vision went black.
Yan Xia leaned absently in Shang Wandong’s arms, her pale cheeks flushed with crimson.
This was a symptom of pseudo-estrus after being marked.
She turned her head slightly and acted spoiled with a hoarse voice: “Sister, my neck hurts so much.”
Shang Wandong glanced at her and lowered her head to kiss the side of her neck gently: “You brought this on yourself.”
Yan Xia rubbed against her face aggrievedly.
After an Alpha is pseudo-marked, they will temporarily become very dependent on the other Alpha, and the mutual desire for control and possession will also increase, just like a marked AO couple.
But this lasts for a very short time as short as one or two days, or as long as a week before the pseudo-mark completely disappears.
Yan Xia leaned absently in Shang Wandong’s arms. After an unknown amount of time, the two sets of clashing pheromones finally gradually calmed down.
Shang Wandong finally let go of Yan Xia reluctantly, helped the other person up, and asked, “Are you okay?”
Yan Xia feebly curled the corners of her mouth, reached up to touch her neck, and immediately hissed: “What do you think?”
Shang Wandong’s expression was calm, but there was undried blood on the corners of her mouth, and her lips were excessively red, looking like a cold and gorgeous vampire.
She lowered her eyes and said in an apologetic tone: “I’m sorry.”
Yan Xia could only comfort her: “I’m fine, I’ll be okay after a little rest.”
An Alpha’s speed in recovering physical strength and healing wounds is much faster than that of ordinary people; the dizziness was only temporary.
Yan Xia thought to herself: Clearly I was the one who got marked, yet Shang Wandong looks like a virtuous woman who was teased, making even her apology seem aggrieved.
She looked down and said pitifully: “What should we do?”
Shang Wandong looked at her for a moment and said, “Cool down on your own.”
“I don’t think I can.” Yan Xia leaned lazily on her shoulder, leaned close to her ear, and said in a breathy voice, “Help me solve it.”
The tip of Shang Wandong’s ear flickered and turned red again.
The streetlights on the side of the road lit up, the night breeze was slightly cool, and the distant chirping of insects came from the grass.
Yan Xia’s eyes were half-closed, her gaze watery, and strands of hair clung to her cheeks.
Shang Wandong leaned against her shoulder, her expression one of both endurance and pleasure.
Their warm breaths intertwined, and the moonlight was gentle and lingering.
