The Gloomy Overseas Student Rewards His Hubby With Some Thirst Traps - Chapter 45
Chapter 45
Yu Yanshuang gripped the steering wheel, his face pale as he stammered, “Are you trying to… I, I, I…”
He suddenly realized he had nothing to threaten Garcia with to keep him quiet. But asking Garcia not to tell anyone—because he couldn’t afford the massive penalty—was something he found difficult to voice.
“I’m telling you, Garcia, don’t think you can use this to blackmail me! Sein is obsessed with me right now. Even if you talk, Sein might not make me pay the 2 billion! If I can’t pay, at worst, I’ll just die with him!”
Yu Yanshuang spoke fiercely; he had instantly guessed what Garcia might want. In reality, he didn’t want to die. Fearing he had pushed Garcia too hard, he immediately offered a softer alternative: “At most, I can use Sein’s card to get you a few tens of thousands of dollars, but it has to be in installments!”
He paused, then added: “Hundreds of thousands is fine too!”
The carrot and the stick! Surely Garcia would know how to choose?
Garcia looked confused: “What? I… how could I blackmail you? What 2 billion? What dying together?”
He hadn’t even recovered from the heartbreak of seeing his “pure little cabbage” being “uprooted” by someone else. The sudden influx of information was too much to process.
Yu Yanshuang narrowed his eyes, speaking cautiously: “Then what do you want? If you talk, I’ll be in breach of my contract with Sein and owe 2 billion! But my personal savings are only a little over a hundred thousand dollars—that’s my final fallback! I’ll give you… half of it at most!”
“How did you save so much money?” Garcia shook his head, then snapped back to the point: “That’s not the issue. Why do you look so… fine lately? I thought Sein hadn’t done it to you yet. You must have endured so much alone, right? Is it very painful? Humiliating? Please, don’t do anything reckless!”
Yu Yanshuang froze.
Could it be that his adoptive mother’s training had worked too well? Was he so good at hiding his emotions that Garcia couldn’t see his sadness or humiliation? Or… was it that after the first day of denial, he had been quickly coaxed by Sein into doing it over and over again… and he hadn’t even had time to feel truly devastated?
Garcia was still racking his brain for words to comfort him. After all, a straight man being “forced” by a gay man usually results in a mental breakdown. However, Garcia’s mind was filled with the proud boasts of his “sisters” about turning straight men gay.
His perspective was simply different from Yu Yanshuang’s. After a long silence, Garcia finally said: “Don’t be sad… actually, being gay is quite pleasurable.”
Yu Yanshuang almost nodded. He caught himself just in time, instinctively avoiding Garcia’s concerned gaze, and asked again: “Then what do you want?”
Garcia said firmly: “I want to comfort you! Please, Yu, aren’t we friends? I don’t know how you carried this burden alone. You just said Sein made you keep the relationship a secret or face a penalty? He’s too much! I knew he was no good!”
Yu Yanshuang snorted and whispered: “We aren’t friends. You betrayed me. You helped Sein test me! You asked if I was the ‘little mouse’ selling his info! What’s the use of insulting Sein now!”
Garcia looked hurt hearing they weren’t friends, and guilty at the accusation. But then he realized Yu Yanshuang had misunderstood.
“I wasn’t helping Sein test you! I was helping Rodney!” Garcia explained quickly. “Okay… I was triggered by those rich people back then. Rodney offered me a huge sum of money and I couldn’t resist. I thought I’d just test the waters, but Sein must have found out. Now Rodney is practically suspended… I never tested you again.”
As he spoke, he felt like he was just making excuses. He said dejectedly: “I’m sorry… I’m truly sorry. I’ve been so guilty it’s been driving me crazy.”
Yu Yanshuang sensed something was wrong and fired off a series of questions: “You weren’t helping Sein? It was Rodney? Wasn’t Rodney helping Sein too? Sein made Rodney drop out, yet he didn’t want you to test me? Does that mean Sein didn’t actually want to catch me…?”
Garcia said: “Here’s the thing. I eavesdropped. Rodney said that party was held at Sein’s request. Sein wanted to catch a ‘little mouse’ selling his info, and then Rodney…”
Yu Yanshuang stared at Garcia in disbelief; he barely heard the rest. His mind was screaming in shock. Sein had known about the information trafficking that early?
If that cocktail party was a trap to catch someone, why did Sein get “drunk” when Yu Yanshuang first threatened him? Sein, who never hung out with the crowd downstairs, stayed specifically that day… To catch a thief, he must have been faking his intoxication!
It all came back to him. But if Sein was faking it… why did he let himself be “threatened”?
“Garcia! If a straight man is drunk, will he grab another man and start kissing and hugging him?” Yu Yanshuang asked, his face pale.
Garcia denied it: “Of course not! That’s a trick used by gay guys who pretend to be straight!”
Yu Yanshuang’s face went white. He asked desperately, “Really? What if he’s very drunk…”
Garcia was certain: “Believe me, Yu. The bodies of women and men are different—how could he not tell? Besides, if a man is extremely drunk, he literally can’t get… ‘up’.”
Yu Yanshuang remembered: that day in the room on the 6th floor of Rodney’s villa, Sein was definitely “up”!
If everything was premeditated, then Sein wasn’t homophobic at all… In fact, if he hadn’t run fast enough that night, with Sein’s domineering personality, he would have been “done for” right then and there.
Yu Yanshuang couldn’t believe it. Sein had faked it from the very beginning. Sein had sat on that fountain bench, watching him walk into the trap like a little mouse.
No wonder Sein had strangely asked for photos himself! No wonder he sometimes looked sober when he was supposed to be drunk. No wonder… no wonder he was “up” so early! And yet he claimed he was “turned gay” by Yu, making Yu Yanshuang feel guilty for a long time.
“Yu, you look terrible? What happened?” Garcia asked with concern. “Could it be that the person who kissed your neck after the party was Sein? So… when he took you to dinner, he already knew you well… Have you been threatened by him this whole time?”
He hadn’t been threatened by Sein… he had been stupidly thinking he was the one threatening Sein.
Yu Yanshuang nearly cried from the sheer humiliation. So stupid. He was so stupid! He thought he was the one with the leverage, while Sein was probably laughing at him behind his back! Laughing at how he was hugging and touching a gay man so obliviously.
Yu Yanshuang didn’t want to tell Garcia something so embarrassing. Instead, he asked: “Garcia, if someone wanted to threaten Sein…”
“Unless they are richer than Sein, it’s impossible,” Garcia told him plainly. “Don’t think about revenge… Yu, I’m afraid you’ll get hurt.”
Revenge…
Yu Yanshuang clenched his fists. Exactly! He had been so pathetic, deceived by Sein for so long—of course he had to take revenge! He had said it before: he wanted Sein to experience the same fall from grace as he did!
Yu Yanshuang asked again: “Garcia, do you know about Ash and Chu? Ash’s father is chasing him, but Chu seems fine?”
Garcia nodded: “They are a famous couple here. Everyone knows Ash gave up his inheritance for Chu. The Bath family actually wants Ash to stay with Chu so he won’t come back to fight for assets. They won’t touch Chu. Only Sein’s grandfather is angry enough to keep trying to kill Ash.”
Hearing this, Yu Yanshuang felt like he was going to collapse again.
So, that day when Sein threatened that they would “die together” if the news broke—it was because Sein didn’t want to give up his wealth or give up him! That’s why he would have dragged them both down!
Sein is a liar, a villain… this is too much!
“Yu, why don’t I take you for a drink? Let’s skip the filming?” Garcia asked, seeing Yu Yanshuang’s red eyes.
Yu Yanshuang said without hesitation: “Film it! Why wouldn’t we? I need your help… Garcia, if you help me this time, we’re even! I’ll even reward you well!”
…
Sein hadn’t planned on returning to the dorm tonight. After all, he had angered Yu Yanshuang this morning; the boy definitely wouldn’t agree to spend the night.
Honestly, after waking up with Yu Yanshuang in his arms for the past few days, the thought of sleeping alone felt empty. But to Sein’s surprise, he received a text from Yu Yanshuang: [Brother Sein, I’m waiting for you at your dorm.]
He hadn’t heard Yu call him “Brother Sein” since that day in Vegas when he had made him cry so bitterly.
Opening the door, he saw Yu Yanshuang curled up in his armchair. Sein was tall, so his custom-made chair was extra wide, making Yu Yanshuang look tiny by comparison.
But what Sein couldn’t look away from was Yu Yanshuang’s attire. This was the first time Yu Yanshuang had appeared before him in a suit. It wasn’t a perfect fit, but the vintage cut made the slight oversized look work, making him look like a handsome man from the late 90s. His mid-length hair was slicked back, revealing his exquisite face.
Yu Yanshuang had a cold expression, his suit lapels adorned with dark gold vintage patterns and a rose pin in his breast pocket. The contrast made Sein feel like he was seeing a mature, spirited version of Yu Yanshuang years into the future—someone cloaked in cold indifference, yet whose dark eyes looked at you with a fragile melancholy, as if saying: Come closer, and hurt me.
Sein stared intently at him and spoke: “Yu.”
Yu Yanshuang didn’t respond. The melancholy in his eyes vanished, replaced by a cold, defensive gaze. Sein’s heart sank as he mentally reviewed everything Yu Yanshuang had done today.
According to his plan, he had sent the racing video to Chu Siqing and told him to manage the comments. Seeing himself admired by so many people should have made Yu Yanshuang happy. Sein had noticed that whether Yu was racing or playing kickoff, he became incredibly confident and radiant when he was the center of attention.
Sein assumed Yu Yanshuang liked the spotlight. But Chu Siqing had mocked him after agreeing: “You Bath men are all the same. It’s like you’d die if you praised the person you like anywhere except in bed.”
Sein hadn’t replied. Yu Yanshuang didn’t need his validation; he just needed Yu to be happy. Chu Siqing had added: “Ash said the same thing back then, but now he’s a total sweet-talker. You Bath men always need some ‘training’.”
Sein had dismissed it, but now he saw the person in front of him was unhappy. Did he or someone else do something to upset him? He had spent the whole day coaxing him.
To Sein, Yu Yanshuang was the world’s hardest riddle. Sein could easily gather intel to find anyone’s weakness or desire. He could play a devout believer for a priest or a brilliant, ambitious heir for his father. But with Yu Yanshuang, nothing seemed to satisfy him.
“Yu, you’re so beautiful. I’m ‘up’ just looking at you.” Sein decided to follow Chu Siqing’s advice and offer a compliment.
Yu Yanshuang’s face darkened. As expected, Sein only lusts after my body, from start to finish. He forced a smile: “Sein, come here.”
Sein’s Adam’s apple bobbed. He walked over and braced his hands on the armrests, trapping Yu Yanshuang between him and the chair. Despite his anger, Yu Yanshuang felt scorched by Sein’s overt, lustful gaze.
Yu Yanshuang lowered his lashes and asked with difficulty: “Sein, I’ve never asked you—what do you plan to do three years from now?”
Sein scooped him up. In the sudden weightlessness, Yu Yanshuang instinctively gripped Sein’s arm. When Sein sat in the chair with Yu on his lap, Yu immediately said: “Don’t rub my waist! Don’t wrinkle these clothes.”
Sein reached under the hem of his shirt anyway. “Why ask that?” His tone held a hint of pleasant surprise. Was Yu Yanshuang actually curious about him?
“Just answer me, Sein! If you keep this up, I won’t do it today!” Yu Yanshuang was already stifled by his thoughts, but Sein’s lack of seriousness finally sparked a bit of resentment.
Sein saw that he was truly angry. He stopped his wandering hand, giving one last rub to a spot that bruised easily.
“In three years, I will inherit the Bath family. Don’t worry, I’ll ensure you live in luxury and do whatever you want. You can pick any property in America that can be bought,” Sein said, outlining his original plan. “But…”
Yu Yanshuang understood. He pressed his fingers against Sein’s lips. Sein was choosing the money. He would inherit the family and marry some woman as required, while he would be a “little gay” for the rest of his life. After what Sein had done to him, how could he ever marry a girl? Sein would just discard him with houses, cars, and cash.
Why? Garcia said many of these disgusting straight men act as “Tops,” and once they’ve had their fun, they just go back to a normal life.
Seeing Yu Yanshuang’s expression grow colder, Sein gripped Yu’s hand, his thumb rubbing the palm. He sensed a misunderstanding. That had been the plan. But now, Yu Yanshuang seemed to like him and wanted to date. He continued: “Let me finish. But now, I can keep taking care of you.”
Yu Yanshuang snorted: “No thanks. I can’t wait for you to let me go.”
Sein’s expression soured. Before he could speak, Yu Yanshuang pressed his lips again and announced: “Tonight, I want to be the 1 (Top).”
Sein turned his head away from Yu’s palm, his expression turning icy: “No way.”
“I want to be the 1!!” Yu Yanshuang announced with reddened eyes.
Sein pinched Yu’s chin, his voice cold: “I said it’s impossible, Yu. Be good. You’re not cut out for being the Top.”
Tears threatened to spill from Yu Yanshuang’s eyes: “Then let’s not do it at all!”
Sein frowned and cupped Yu’s cheek: “Who upset you? How about this: you can be the kickoff player for the game against Northwestern the day before Christmas. Half of Chicago will be watching.”
Yu Yanshuang’s heart felt like ice. He thinks he can coax me into bed by ‘gifting’ me a kickoff. And what would his own end be? Aging and alone, while Sein’s life remained perfect—a winner with a family and the world’s respect!
The hatred in Yu Yanshuang’s heart surged. From the beginning, he had wanted this privileged man to feel what it was like to fall. But he had been blinded by everything else and fooled himself into not thinking about what sleeping with Sein meant. It was like when his adoptive mother was strict—he told himself she was “training” him just to make the irrational seem rational.
He would not lie to himself anymore. Large tears rolled down his face: “Let me sleep with you (as the Top)!!”
Sein’s heart ached immediately. He hurried to stop the crying, leaning in to kiss away the tears, murmuring: “Okay, okay, okay.”
Yu Yanshuang continued: “If you want to sleep with me, I’m the 1!”
Sein sighed: “Fine.”
Yu Yanshuang breathed a sigh of relief. He knew Sein was lying; the moment they hit the bed, Sein would ruthlessly pin him down. He wiped his tears away roughly. He still had to rely on crying to soften Sein’s heart. See? He wasn’t completely useless; he could still handle Sein.
“Go shower first,” Yu Yanshuang ordered.
Sein didn’t want to leave him: “Let’s go together.”
Yu Yanshuang flared up, more tears coming: “I’m the 1 now! You go!”
Sein gave a low, helpless laugh and kissed Yu’s lips tenderly: “Fine. Don’t cry. I’ll listen to you, little master.”
Only after Sein entered the bathroom did Yu Yanshuang stop the recording app on his phone. He trimmed the useless parts, keeping only the segment where he said he wanted to be the “1” and Sein agreed.
He sent it to Garcia with instructions: [In half an hour, post this to my Facebook along with that photo I gave you.]
He wanted everyone to know: Sein, the heir to the Bath family, the man who claimed to hate gay people, was hugging and kissing a man—and even shamelessly agreed to be the one on the bottom just to sleep with him!
Who could dispel this rumor? If he could stall Sein long enough, it would spread across the campus in no time. He also told Garcia to state that he would only agree to be with Sein if Sein gave up the Bath inheritance. This way, his own life would be safe, while Sein would be the one hunted by the family.
Thinking about Sein waking up tomorrow to a storm of rumors, Yu Yanshuang, though curled up in the chair, felt a flash of vengeful joy. He took a deep breath, stood up, and carefully took off the beautiful suit Garcia had made, hanging it in the closet.
When Sein came out from the shower and saw Yu Yanshuang, he raised an eyebrow in surprise—Yu Yanshuang was waiting for him, completely naked.
Sein’s phone began to vibrate. Yu Yanshuang, who had intended to put on pajamas and shower, immediately dropped them. He ran toward Sein, grabbed Sein’s hand to place it on his waist, stood on his tiptoes to hook his arms around Sein’s neck, and kissed him recklessly.
Sein was stunned for a second, then reflexively cupped the back of Yu’s head and responded passionately. He gripped Yu’s waist and lifted him off the ground. They were both used to this movement; Yu Yanshuang instinctively wrapped his legs around Sein’s waist.
Sein didn’t understand why Yu Yanshuang went from angry to kissing him so intensely, but clearly, Yu wanted to do it.
Do it first, talk later.
