The General's Love Glitch - Chapter 37
The bald man knew exactly who he was facing at this moment and who Planet GR03 was up against.
Ruan Wei was still a vampire, but she was no longer the same Ruan Wei. She was now perched on the back of General Jun Jue, a name renowned across the galaxy. Beside them stood several stunning and formidable female soldiers who respectfully addressed her as “Madam.”
Ruan Wei’s status had risen beyond recognition. Even the Star Lord of Planet GR03 would have to lower their head in her presence.
He was relieved that when the female soldiers had arrived, he hadn’t voiced the filthy, dark thoughts in his mind. Otherwise, he might have ended up as wretched as Scarface.
With General Jun Jue, a figure of immense authority present, he didn’t dare act out. He obediently led the way into the dungeon. When he saw the subordinates guarding the vampires, he didn’t even feel ashamed of his own cowardice. Despite Planet GR03’s remote location and information isolation, its inhabitants were well aware of General Jun Jue’s heroic exploits in the Federation. To them, she was a war goddess, an idol.
When they caught sight of Jun Jue and then noticed Ruan Wei on her back, they were utterly dumbfounded.
As the only daughter of the former Federation general, Jun Jue had grown accustomed to the weight of others’ gazes from a young age.
This time, with Jun Jue by her side, Ruan Wei carried herself with far more confidence.
“Sister Tao! Sister Sun!” Ruan Wei cried out excitedly upon seeing familiar faces, straightening up on Jun Jue’s back.
Jun Jue strode toward the spot Ruan Wei wanted to reach. Jiang Tang kicked the bald man from behind. “Hurry up and open the door!”
The bald man scrambled to unlock the cell, pulling the door open to let Jun Jue and her group inside.
It was an iron-barred cage, its crisscrossing metal rods forming a dense lattice. The space inside was no more than ten square meters. In the corner crouched two women with disheveled hair and tattered clothes. When Ruan Wei called out, they looked up but didn’t dare move, their garments barely covered them, forcing them to remain curled up, arms wrapped around themselves for modesty.
Once inside, Jun Jue sensed Ruan Wei’s eagerness to jump down from her back. She quickly walked to the corner and gently set Ruan Wei beside the two frail and pitiable vampires.
Ruan Wei landed barefoot on the damp floor, her first act being to remove her outer garment and share it with the two women.
“Keep staring, and I’ll gouge your eyes out,” Jiang Tang threatened the leering bald man, who immediately turned away.
Jiang Lan, like Ruan Wei, took off her combat jacket and handed it over.
“Weiwei, you’re back!” The two women huddled in the corner spoke weakly but with palpable excitement.
“Sister Tao, Sister Sun, why are there only two of you here?” Ruan Wei asked anxiously.
“The others… they’re gone. Even heaven is better than living like this in a cell.”
Ruan Wei couldn’t hold back her tears. “If… if only I’d come back sooner.”
“Don’t cry, Weiwei. There’s no ‘if.’ The fact that you remembered us and came back to save us is already more than enough,” said Tao Xinran, the eldest among the vampires, who had always looked after Ruan Wei.
Sun Qian couldn’t speak, coughing up blood in the corner, her vampire life was nearing its end.
Ruan Wei moved closer to Sun Qian, rolling up her sleeve to reveal her pale arm. “Sister Sun, drink some of my blood.”
“Drink mine,” Jun Jue stepped forward, offering her own arm.
Sun Qian coughed out a weak laugh. “Weiwei… who is this?”
Ruan Wei gently pushed Jun Jue’s hand away, whispering that drinking her blood wouldn’t be of much use. Jun Jue had no choice but to withdraw her hand, silently waiting for Ruan Wei’s answer.
With flushed cheeks, Ruan Wei said, “Sister Sun, this is my girlfriend, General Jun Jue of the Federation.”
Sun Qian and Tao Xinran had heard of Jun Jue’s reputation but had never seen what she looked like. Upon hearing this, their expressions turned to one of immense surprise and astonishment.
Ruan Wei also extended an arm toward Tao Xinran.
“Sisters, please drink some of my blood quickly. I’ll tell you everything you want to know afterward.”
Tao Xinran and Sun Qian hesitated, glancing at Jun Jue and the Jiang sisters. They knew that Federation law didn’t allow vampires to exist, there was no place for vampires in the entire Federation. If not for this, they would have risked their lives to escape, just as Ruan Wei had done back then.
Though Jun Jue couldn’t bear to see Ruan Wei lose blood, given the circumstances, she nodded in agreement. Jiang Lan, speaking on behalf of her sisters, said, “Go ahead.”
“Sister Tao, Sister Sun, hurry!” Ruan Wei urged, genuinely afraid that the last two vampire sisters might also collapse and leave, leaving her as the only vampire in the world.
When the vampires’ sharp fangs pierced her skin, Ruan Wei clenched her eyes shut against the pain.
Jun Jue watched from behind, her expression stern. The Jiang sisters, on the other hand, found the scene more fascinating than anything, especially Jiang Tang, who couldn’t resist craning her neck and even took several steps forward.
Jun Jue silently counted in her heart, this time, the blood-drinking lasted a full ten seconds. The amount of blood Ruan Wei lost seemed even greater than what Jun Jue had lost over the past few days.
“Weiwei!” When Tao Xinran and Sun Qian retracted their fangs and stopped drinking, Ruan Wei slumped to the side. Jun Jue called out in alarm.
Ruan Wei collapsed into Jun Jue’s arms. “General, I’m fine.”
Seeing her bloodless lips, Jun Jue scooped her up in a princess carry. “Weiwei, drink some of my blood,” she said, baring her neck to Ruan Wei.
Tao Xinran and Sun Qian, wrapped in the combat uniforms Ruan Wei and Jiang Lan had shed, helped each other up, exchanging a knowing glance. Their little sister Weiwei had found herself a wonderful human partner.
Meanwhile, the Jiang sisters were also eager to see how Madam Weiwei would drink their general’s blood.
Jiang Tang screamed internally: Madam, drink already! I want to see!
However, Ruan Wei didn’t drink. Instead, she tightened her arms around Jun Jue’s neck and whispered, “General, can we leave this place first? I hate it here.”
“Of course.”
Jun Jue carried Ruan Wei out of the steel cage first. Jiang Lan and Jiang Li helped support Tao Xinran and Sun Qian as they left, while Jiang Tang lagged behind, still disappointed that Madam Weiwei hadn’t drunk the general’s blood.
What does it feel like to be bitten? She couldn’t help but wonder.
Once outside the dungeon, Jun Jue held Ruan Wei under the sunlight, carefully observing her complexion. In the light, Ruan Wei’s face looked slightly better, but the signs of excessive blood loss were still evident.
“Are you sure you don’t want to drink some blood?” Jun Jue asked, still concerned.
“I’m a little embarrassed,” Ruan Wei whispered so softly that only Jun Jue could hear.
Jiang Tang, itching with curiosity, blurted out, “Madam, what are you and the general whispering about again?”
No sooner had she spoken than she received a flick on the forehead from her eldest sister, Jiang Lan, leaving a red mark.
Clutching her forehead, Jiang Tang whined, “Big sis, I know I was wrong. I won’t disturb the general and Madam anymore.”
In her heart, she thought it was just because she had never been in love before and was too curious! What’s wrong with that?
Tao Xinran noticed Jiang Tang’s mood and took the initiative to talk to her, asking for her name.
Jiang Tang quickly brightened up, telling her that her name was Jiang Tang, and then asked this gentle vampire sister a few questions she had about vampires.
Ruan Wei said she was embarrassed, so Jun Jue had the others wait while she carried Ruan Wei aside.
“Weiwei, they can’t see us here. You can drink some blood without worry.”
Ruan Wei still didn’t bite Jun Jue, afraid that something might go wrong and Jun Jue’s blood loss would affect her health.
Seeing that she still wouldn’t bite, Jun Jue bit her own fingertip and smeared the bleeding finger against Ruan Wei’s lips. Ruan Wei’s willpower crumbled, surrendering to Jun Jue’s blood as she took the fingertip into her mouth, sucking gently but firmly.
Jun Jue slowly closed her eyes, feeling as if she were being anesthetized.
Blood flowed from her fingertip into Ruan Wei’s mouth, boiling and surging, making her body grow slightly warm.
“That’s enough.”
Ruan Wei could control how much blood she took, stopping at a critical point with restraint.
Jun Jue opened her eyes and watched as Ruan Wei licked the wound on her fingertip. Once it healed, Ruan Wei looked up.
With a hint of reproach, she said, “General, you tempted me again.”
“Mhm. Did it work?” Jun Jue asked knowingly, curling the corner of her lips.
But with that motion, Ruan Wei noticed a trace of blood lingering at the corner of Jun Jue’s mouth. She rose onto her tiptoes, her tongue lightly sweeping over the bloodstain.
Jun Jue felt as if she’d been electrified, she, too, had been tempted by Ruan Wei.
After drinking the blood and licking the dried stain clean, Ruan Wei, satisfied, prepared to step back. But Jun Jue wouldn’t let her, capturing her lips and tongue, drawing her into a deep kiss.
The kiss lasted so long that Ruan Wei felt her brain was deprived of oxygen, her tongue losing sensation, as if it no longer belonged to her, like a leaf caught in the wind, drifting slowly downward.
“Why have the General and Madam been gone so long? Does drinking blood take that much time?” Jiang Tang curiously peered in the direction where Jun Jue had carried Ruan Wei away.
The two vampire sisters earlier had taken less than 10 seconds to drink Madam Weiwei’s blood, but the General and Madam Weiwei had been gone for nearly 10 minutes now.
The bald man, having held back for too long, couldn’t resist muttering, “When couples go somewhere private, it’s inevitable they’ll do something private.”
Half of what he wanted to say, he didn’t dare voice that someone like Ruan Wei, a peerless beauty, was probably irresistible to anyone. Sweet-faced, with a fiery figure, naive yet seductive, a perfect blend of purity and desire.
If not for the higher-ups forbidding them from touching Ruan Wei back then, there would’ve been a whole squad of quarter-blooded little vampires by now.
“What kind of disgusting thoughts are you having?” Jiang Tang warned the bald man. “The Federation’s annexation of Planet GR03 is imminent. If you don’t want to be castrated, behave yourself.”
“Can’t even think about it?” The bald man shielded his head, afraid of being hit, and asked quietly.
“No, you can’t! Even thinking is a crime!” Jiang Tang hammered him a few times like she was driving nails. “Got it?”
Though he couldn’t control his thoughts, the bald man still yielded under the threat of violence. “Got it.”
“He’s just saying that,” Tao Xinran exposed him. “Though the bald man hasn’t done as much evil as Scarface, he’s a habitual liar.”
“No problem. The Federation has a hundred ways to make sure men like him can never rise to the occasion.”
The bald man was on the verge of tears, howling and begging for mercy, claiming he was the only heir of his family line and that his lineage would die with him, all thunder but no rain. Jiang Tang watched quietly as he wailed.
Grabbing him by the collar and pulling him closer for a look, she noticed the elongated gland on the back of his neck. “At least you’re an alpha. Stop crying.”
Just then, Jun Jue returned with Ruan Wei on his back. Ruan Wei swung her feet contentedly, the once-dirty soles from the dungeon now clean and fair again.
“What’s the bald guy crying about?” Ruan Wei asked.
“He’s not crying,” Jiang Tang shrugged. “Madam, he’s faking it.”
“…” The bald man’s face stiffened, and his fake sobs ceased abruptly.
Jiang Tang noticed Ruan Wei’s swinging feet. “Ah, so the General took you to wash your feet. No wonder it took so long.”
So long.
Jun Jue recalled that out-of-control kiss and the need to mask it with other activities. His body grew warm again at the memory.
“General, why is your face red?” Jiang Tang mused to herself. “The temperature on Planet GR03 does seem a bit high.”
“Madam Wei, why is your face red too?”
Jiang Li quickly tugged at her sister’s sleeve.
Her foolish second sister, how could she ask such things without hesitation?
