The Film Queen’s Little Bunny Wife - Chapter 7
“It’s me…” With the screenshot caught, Tu Jiaojiao looked like a child who had done something wrong, biting her lower lip, anxiously clutching the corner of her blanket.
Fortunately, Ling Hanyan didn’t blame her, only wondering why the video call was on.
She tapped the screen a few times and found that she had accidentally triggered a video invitation when accepting a friend request.
She chuckled. She hadn’t expected this little bunny to be so obedient.
During the past ten minutes, she hadn’t said a word, quietly and well-behaved, watching her busy herself.
If one looked closely, they would find that the girl’s amber eyes were filled entirely with joy and her.
Ling Hanyan’s heart softened: “Jiaojiao, I’m sorry for disturbing your sleep.”
“I’m not really into electronic products, so I accidentally activated the video. Next time something like this happens, you can just hang up.”
“It didn’t disturb me! I wasn’t asleep yet!”
How could something concerning Yan Yan be considered a disturbance?
Tu Jiaojiao immediately retorted, “I should have reminded you that the video was on. I’m sorry, sorry…”
It wasn’t her fault, yet she was willing to take the blame for Ling Hanyan’s sake. So cute.
Ling Hanyan felt like teasing her a bit.
She raised her hand to adjust her collar, but instead of neatly fixing it, she deliberately exposed half of her fair neck.
“Hmm, it’s a good thing I kept my clothes on, otherwise you would have gotten a free look. If I posted the picture online, my reputation would be ruined.”
“Ahhh, I’m sorry, Yan Yan, I’ll delete the screenshot right now!!”
The little bunny was indeed startled. She frantically tapped the screen, her voice tinged with a slight cry, “Yan Yan, please don’t be angry. I’ve deleted all the pictures! I definitely won’t share them with anyone!”
“It’s okay, I’m not angry.” Ling Hanyan felt a pang of conscience and changed the subject, “Did you receive the things Xiao Liang sent you?”
“I received them! There are photo books and art albums from your past events, and a little whale plushie! But my little niece took the plushie. I took her to the cinema to see No Cure for Jianghu, and she really likes you too! Hehe.”
Tu Jiaojiao bit her lower lip, gazing at the shapely woman on the other side of the screen, secretly swallowing.
Still a bit uneasy, “Are you really not angry, Yan Yan…”
“Mhm, I trust you won’t spread the photos around. I need to put on a sleeping mask now. If you’re sleepy, you should go to bed first.”
Tu Jiaojiao saw Ling Hanyan yawn and look down at the bottles and jars on her desk, seemingly looking for the sleeping mask she wanted to use.
“Not sleepy!”
The fact that Yan Yan didn’t proactively hang up after realizing the video was accidentally on!
This alone made Tu Jiaojiao feel blissfully happy.
“You’re only in high school this year, right?” Ling Hanyan dabbed a transparent gel mask onto her face, chatting with her casually.
She unintentionally slipped into the role of an experienced elder. “You still have school. You should rest early.”
“No…” Tu Jiaojiao’s cheeks flushed. She wondered if she looked that immature.
Her voice was soft, “I already graduated from university, I’m working now.”
According to her memory, she was currently a mascot executive at Tu Corporation the kind of position that must exist in the company, even if it lacked much real authority.
Work was much more relaxed compared to CEO Tu Yueming’s schedule she only needed to go in a few times a week.
These past few days she had been taking care of Xuan Xuan at home, so she had been slacking off. She’d need to make a trip to the company once her sister returned.
“Is that so…” Ling Hanyan finished applying the gel mask, her entire face looking dewy.
She turned to look at the screen, frowning slightly, seemingly not believing that the girl in the bunny-eared pajamas in front of her was a working professional.
The bunny ears on the pajamas looked so soft. She wanted to pinch them.
However, she no longer pressed the issue of going to sleep and began tidying her desk on her own.
Whether she was naturally carefree or genuinely unconcerned, Tu Jiaojiao noticed that Ling Hanyan’s expression was even more relaxed than when the video call was first discovered.
She mentally sighed that this woman was truly born to live in the spotlight, considering her composure.
“Yan Yan, your hair isn’t dry yet.”
After a long silence, Tu Jiaojiao couldn’t help but remind her.
“I blew it. Just the roots,” Ling Hanyan shook her waist-length hair. Indeed, only the ends looked damp and slightly clumped together, while the rest was already quite voluminous.
Another silence.
“Yan Yan, can we still have a meal together?” Tu Jiaojiao nervously broke the quiet.
She had the courage to invite her last time they met in person.
But now, separated by the screen, and with Ling Hanyan’s expression as indifferent as ever, she felt a bit timid.
“Sure, but I’m quite busy recently, so I can’t confirm a specific time.”
Ling Hanyan’s eyes drifted upwards as if considering her schedule, before finally giving up, “I’ll message you when I have time.”
“Okay!”
“Let’s talk then. I’m going to sleep now, good night, Jiaojiao.”
Ling Hanyan said a simple good night and quickly hung up without waiting for Tu Jiaojiao’s reply.
Tu Jiaojiao clutched her phone, looking at the selfie of the two of them on the screen, feeling soft and warm inside.
She covered her face and lay back on the bed, unable to believe the wonderful turn of events that night.
While she was extremely happy to have created such a precious memory with Yan Yan, she also felt like she hadn’t performed well…
She had so many thoughts swirling in her heart, but the moment she was face to face with Ling Hanyan, she became as timid as a bun.
She loved her so much, yet feared her so much, afraid that Ling Hanyan wouldn’t like her…
Just now, Tu Jiaojiao’s eyes couldn’t help but glance at the fair skin Ling Hanyan unintentionally exposed, but she was afraid of being discovered, trying hard to suppress the desire in her heart.
This resulted in her not daring to look at anything or say anything…
Like a block of wood.
At times like this, she wished she were the cheerful and outgoing type of girl.
Tu Jiaojiao’s mind was a mess, but because she had video called with Ling Hanyan for a while, she felt greatly relieved. Mixed with the comfortable feeling throughout her body after finishing her cultivation, she drifted off to sleep in a daze.
The next day, as soon as Tu Jiaojiao woke up, she felt something was off. Her vision was inexplicably low, and the bed seemed bigger.
No, the entire room had grown larger!
“Auntie, wake up, let’s go eat breakfast! I’m already dressed!” Tu Mixuan outside the door persistently knocked.
Tu Jiaojiao wanted to tell her to eat some mille crepe cake first, but found she couldn’t make a sound in her throat.
She looked down and saw that her outstretched right hand was entirely furry, not the pajama fabric she had assumed just a moment ago.
A terrible thought surfaced in her mind, and Tu Jiaojiao felt a headache coming on.
She struggled to jump in front of the full length mirror and saw a dazed looking, white, long haired Angora rabbit inside!
