The Film Empress White Moonlight Wants To Be A Salted Fish - Chapter 62
Wen Shiyan lightly touched her lips with her fingertips, watching Lu Yiran, who had kissed her and then left.
The bathroom door closed. Lu Yiran was in a great mood, humming a song as she undressed.
Wen Shiyan waited outside the bathroom for Lu Yiran to come out. In the meantime, she took out her phone and saw that she and Lu Yiran were trending again. Wen Shiyan ignored the trending topic content and went online to select a birthday gift for Lu Yiran.
After Lu Yiran came out of the bathroom, she lay down on the bed to look at her phone. Wen Shiyan had returned it to her when they arrived at the set, fearing she might have something urgent and be unreachable. Since her scenes were few, and now she could play on her phone, Lu Yiran was even happier since joining the crew. Although Wen Shiyan had set up parental controls, she was satisfied as long as she could hold the phone.
Seeing Lu Yiran playing with her phone on the bed without drying her hair, Wen Shiyan walked over and gently took the phone from her hand. With her hand empty, Lu Yiran looked up at Wen Shiyan. Wen Shiyan placed the phone aside and came to the bed to dry Lu Yiran’s hair.
“Even if you don’t like to blow-dry your hair, you still have to dry it,” Wen Shiyan said, taking another dry towel to rub Lu Yiran’s hair.
Lu Yiran was slightly puzzled. Although she did dislike blow-drying her hair, she didn’t recall ever mentioning it to Wen Shiyan… It was the same with the honeydew melon before. She had never told Wen Shiyan about her allergy, yet Wen Shiyan knew everything. Something was fishy, definitely fishy!
Lu Yiran’s scenes were later in the schedule, so she spent Wen Shiyan’s filming time observing her on set.
Initially, Wen Shiyan didn’t notice Lu Yiran watching her until their eyes unintentionally met during a break in filming… After the first shot of the first scene was over, Wen Shiyan walked over to Lu Yiran.
Seeing the two inseparable for even a moment, Chu Han was envious.
Lu Yiran knew Wen Shiyan had caught her staring and, protesting her innocence a bit too much, said, “I wasn’t looking at you; I just accidentally glanced your way.”
“Oh? Is that so?” Wen Shiyan smiled and teased Lu Yiran: “If it wasn’t Yiran, then who was it?”
“Hmph, it wasn’t me, anyway,” Lu Yiran said, peeking at Wen Shiyan.
Everyone on the crew was used to their relationship since finding out about it.
Wen Shiyan leaned in and quietly whispered to Lu Yiran: “Have you memorized all your lines?”
“Of course, I have,” Lu Yiran replied, immediately reciting them for Wen Shiyan.
“Such a good girl,” Wen Shiyan praised Lu Yiran like a child. Lu Yiran felt a little embarrassed hearing that. She had only heard such words when she was very young, and she never expected to hear them from Wen Shiyan now that she was so grown up.
“Cough, cough, well, look who you’re talking to,” Lu Yiran said, getting up from the chair. Seeing Lu Yiran about to leave, Wen Shiyan held her hand and said, “Don’t run around; wait for me in the room.”
Wen Shiyan let go of Lu Yiran’s hand. Lu Yiran nodded and said, “Got it, got it.”
Only after watching Lu Yiran leave did Wen Shiyan return to the filming location.
【It seems like she won, but why hasn’t He appeared yet.】
Wen Shiyan shook her head, answering the system’s question. “I don’t know. It seems only she will know. All we can do is wait.”
Back in the room, Lu Yiran waited for Wen Shiyan to return.
Suddenly, a knock sounded on the door. Lu Yiran got out of bed and cautiously looked through the peephole.
“Xie Shuyao…” Lu Yiran opened the door, wondering why Xie Shuyao had come. As the door opened, Xie Shuyao suddenly hugged Lu Yiran. Lu Yiran stumbled backward a few steps.
Being suddenly embraced by Xie Shuyao made Lu Yiran nervous. She nervously tried to push Xie Shuyao away. Luckily, Xie Shuyao only held her for a moment before letting go, or Lu Yiran would have called Wen Shiyan.
After Xie Shuyao sat down, Lu Yiran poured her a glass of water and asked, “Why are you here? Does Wen Shiyan know?”
“I came behind her back,” Xie Shuyao said, getting angry when talking about Wen Shiyan. Xie Shuyao couldn’t help but complain to Lu Yiran: “My sister, just to keep me from bothering you, sent me to the film crew without saying a word. I even had to take a special leave today to get out, and if I hadn’t asked Chen Ziyun where you were, I wouldn’t have found you.”
Hearing Xie Shuyao mention Chen Ziyun several times, Lu Yiran couldn’t help but ask, “Why do you two seem to have such a good relationship?”
“We used to be online friends, and we recently met offline only to find out we knew each other in real life, too. But she’s gone traveling with someone else these few days, and I was so bored, so I came to find you,” Xie Shuyao said to Lu Yiran pitifully.
Just as Xie Shuyao finished speaking, they heard the door opening. She was still holding Lu Yiran’s hand. They both looked towards the door, and Wen Shiyan was looking at Xie Shuyao holding Lu Yiran’s hand with a gloomy expression.
Seeing Wen Shiyan walking towards her, Xie Shuyao quickly let go of Lu Yiran and moved to the side.
Wen Shiyan sat beside Lu Yiran, drinking the water Lu Yiran had just poured, and looked at Xie Shuyao.
Putting down the cup, Wen Shiyan asked Xie Shuyao: “Why are you here? Shouldn’t you be with your crew right now?”
“Mom asked me to come check on you both… I’ve seen you, so I’ll leave now,” Xie Shuyao said, preparing to get up and depart.
“Stay and have dinner with us.”
Xie Shuyao had been waiting for that sentence. Hearing Wen Shiyan’s words, she quickly sat back down on the sofa.
They took Xie Shuyao around the vicinity of the set for an afternoon. Xie Shuyao was reluctant to leave until someone called her.
Finally, after seeing Xie Shuyao off in the evening, Lu Yiran was so tired she collapsed straight onto the sofa.
Wen Shiyan gently pulled Lu Yiran up and said to her, “Go take a shower.”
“I’m so tired, I don’t want to move,” Lu Yiran said, lying on the sofa and playing with Wen Shiyan’s fingers. Lu Yiran placed Wen Shiyan’s hand on her face. It was cool and comfortable.
“Shall we bathe together?” Wen Shiyan was just joking. After saying it, she was about to go into the bathroom when Lu Yiran got off the sofa and followed her, entering the bathroom and closing the door behind them.
Lu Yiran smiled, took off her top, threw it into the nearby laundry basket, and said to Wen Shiyan, “Sure, let’s bathe together.”
Looking at Lu Yiran, the temperature on Wen Shiyan’s face rose involuntarily. Seeing Wen Shiyan standing still, Lu Yiran came closer and urged her.
Wen Shiyan’s head felt dizzy, and she confusedly followed Lu Yiran into the water.
Skin touched skin, and Wen Shiyan finally snapped back to her senses.
Lu Yiran lay in Wen Shiyan’s arms, closed her eyes, and lightly played with the water, her hand resting on the edge of the bathtub.
Strands of hair clung to their bodies, and water droplets slid down the hair. The bathroom was quiet, with only the sound of water droplets falling.
“We should get out…” Wen Shiyan said, preparing to help Lu Yiran, who was lying on her, to stand up. Seeing Lu Yiran obediently getting up and leaving the tub, Wen Shiyan felt a little disappointed instead.
Wen Shiyan put on her clothes and left the bathroom. While buttoning her shirt, she looked up just as Lu Yiran kissed her.
After the soft touch on her lips disappeared, Wen Shiyan looked at Lu Yiran, who said to her, “I’m going to kiss you every day from now on.”
“Good,” Wen Shiyan replied with a delightful smile.
【You little lovebirds are really affectionate.】
Wen Shiyan ignored the system.
After a long wait, Lu Yiran finally got to her scenes. It was Lu Yiran’s first time truly filming with Wen Shiyan, and she was a little excited before the shoot began.
“Alright, relax,” Wen Shiyan said, stroking Lu Yiran’s face. Lu Yiran nodded and followed Wen Shiyan to the filming location.
“Yiran, just stick to Wen Laoshi like you usually do. We’ll film this part first.”
Chu Han was referring to the part of the script where Lu Yiran’s character becomes reliant on Wen Shiyan’s character after meeting her. For Lu Yiran, this didn’t require acting at all; it was simply their current normal state.
“Action!”
Lu Yiran didn’t speak. She quietly followed Wen Shiyan, trying to minimize her presence around others.
Wen Shiyan stopped, turned, and asked Lu Yiran in confusion, “Why are you following me? I just happened to pass through there.”
Seeing Lu Yiran remain silent, Wen Shiyan sighed and continued walking helplessly. Lu Yiran hadn’t fully adapted to the outside world yet. When crossing an uneven section of the road, her body involuntarily leaned forward. Just as she was about to fall, Wen Shiyan caught her.
“Keep close to me,” Wen Shiyan said, taking Lu Yiran’s hand. Lu Yiran looked up at Wen Shiyan, but following behind her, she could only see Wen Shiyan’s profile. Her hand felt very warm, something she hadn’t felt in a long time.
“Cut!”
After the scene, Wen Shiyan asked Lu Yiran with concern, “Did you hurt yourself anywhere?”
Lu Yiran shook her head. The ground only looked very uneven, and even if she had fallen, nothing serious would have happened.
“It was the right choice to cast Yiran : look how natural that was. I have to say, being in love does have some advantages,” Chu Han couldn’t help but sigh.
Wen Shiyan and Lu Yiran stood together. Hearing Chu Han’s words, Wen Shiyan smiled sweetly at her and said, “There are many advantages. Would Director Chu like to experience them too?”
“No, no, thank you,” Chu Han quickly waved her hands, refusing.
Lu Yiran’s scenes for the day were finished; it was only this small segment. Lu Yiran felt the time she spent with Wen Shiyan was too short. She was flipping through Wen Shiyan’s script when she suddenly remembered a part they would film later… Lu Yiran paused for a moment. With Wen Shiyan by her side, she was sure she could perform well. She couldn’t let everyone down.
Chen Ziyun called. The vibration of the phone in her pocket interrupted Lu Yiran’s thoughts. She got up, left the filming area, and answered the phone.
“Yo, Lu Yiran, I’m on the little island I mentioned before. I’m scouting the place for you guys,” Chen Ziyun said, taking off her sunglasses and handing them to Xiao Yu beside her.
Lu Yiran hadn’t expected Chen Ziyun to actually go on vacation. She asked Chen Ziyun, “Are you there all by yourself?”
Lying on a beach chair, Chen Ziyun closed her eyes and replied to Lu Yiran, “No, it’s not just me; I’m with Xiao Yu. It’s really fun here, and so warm. You should come visit later; I think you’ll really like it.”
“Okay, I’ll definitely go later.”
After chatting for a while, Lu Yiran hung up the phone. So, when Xie Shuyao said Chen Ziyun was traveling with someone else, she meant Chen Ziyun and Xiao Yu were together.
After filming ended, Wen Shiyan walked up to Lu Yiran and said, “It’s over. Let’s go.”
