Chapter 15: Drowned in the Past.
The night was quiet, and the executive suite was even more so.
Jiang Yu looked at Rong Wei for a long time, and a thought suddenly sprouted in her heart.
The vague scent of rose aromatherapy drifted into her nasal cavity, which could serve as an excuse, claiming that one’s consciousness was not entirely clear, and it would be no surprise to say something strange or tactless.
She walked forward and stood in front of Rong Wei: “Want to shower together?”
Rong Wei looked at Jiang Yu intently, neither agreeing nor refusing, but just opened her mouth and asked, “You want to be in the bathroom?”
Jiang Yu raised an eyebrow.
What she was thinking was that it wasn’t impossible, actually.
However, since this was the first time doing something like this, Jiang Yu, deep down, still wanted to find a more reassuring and comfortable place, lest it leave her with some kind of trauma.
She shook her head, made a slight ‘tsk’ sound, and acted as if she hadn’t said that: “Let’s forget it.”
Saying that, she very naturally turned around, picked up her things, and prepared to go to the bathroom, saying to Rong Wei beside her, “Ms. Rong, you can wash in the outer bathroom. I’ll go to the one in the bedroom.”
This sounded like Jiang Yu was very familiar with the room.
Jiang Yu realized this belatedly. Thinking about what Rong Wei had told her a few days ago, she didn’t want her to think she was a casual person.
So she added, “I’ve just been here a few times for work before, and my memory is pretty good. Ms. Rong, please don’t mind.”
Rong Wei chuckled, and also turned around. The two were not facing the same direction. Jiang Yu heard Rong Wei’s voice from behind.
“That’s your freedom.”
The implication was that she had no reason to explain to her.
Jiang Yu nodded. Frankly speaking, she was very satisfied with Rong Wei’s style of doing things.
“Then I’m going to take a shower. See you in the master bedroom later.”
After the simple exchange, the two separated and went to their respective bathrooms.
Jiang Yu preferred spacious areas. When she used to stay here, she was accustomed to showering in the outer bathroom.
This was her first time showering in the master bedroom’s bathroom.
The bathrooms in a suite were generally similar in decor.
But with the same setting, the changing people and circumstances inevitably made one sigh with emotion.
Jiang Yu closed her eyes, allowing her body to completely relax.
She took a long shower.
She wasn’t used to the skincare products here, but fortunately, the quality wasn’t bad, and they were moisturizing enough for her body.
She hadn’t expected to run into Rong Wei here by chance and hadn’t brought a change of clothes.
Although they would soon be bare with each other, at this moment, Jiang Yu had no inclination to walk out naked and expose herself immediately.
Jiang Yu frowned, wrapped herself in the hotel’s cleaned bathrobe, and walked out of the bathroom.
It was quiet outside the bathroom, and the temperature was relatively lower. The lights in the master bedroom had all been turned off at some point, leaving only one dim nightlight.
Jiang Yu saw a neatly folded, black, silk-fabric dressing gown nearby.
Jiang Yu pursed her lips, and after a while, put on the dressing gown.
When she came out, she happened to see Rong Wei’s figure.
Clearly, she had finished bathing a long time ago. Her hair was dry, her blonde hair casually draped over her shoulders, forming a sharp contrast with the dark purple dressing gown she wore.
In this night, she inexplicably seemed extraordinarily mysterious.
Even though she was currently just leaning on the bed, handling work on her phone.
But Jiang Yu was still seduced by lust, placing all her attention on Rong Wei’s slipping dressing gown, revealing her distinct wrist bones and the faint blue veins on her arm.
It was extremely quiet in the master bedroom. Although Rong Wei was dealing with work, she heard the sound coming from the bathroom.
She put down her phone, raised her eyes, and saw Jiang Yu at a glance.
“Make do with that for now. I didn’t know your size.”
Jiang Yu smiled, tugged at the edge of the dressing gown, and said naturally, “You’ll know later. Thank you, Ms. Rong, for the trouble.”
This person truly became more straightforward the more she interacted with her.
Rong Wei briefly hummed in response, being sparing with her words and not saying anything else.
While she was speaking, Jiang Yu had already knelt by the bed. She slowly moved toward Rong Wei, but heard Rong Wei ask her, “Right here?”
Jiang Yu paused, somewhat confused for a moment.
Rong Wei naturally covered her forehead, lowered her gaze, and hinted, “It might be inconvenient later.”
Jiang Yu was silent for a moment, then opened her mouth: “Let’s go to the guest room.”
…
The lighting in the guest room was dim. The residual scent of the rose body lotion on their bodies was unusually distinct, practically seeping into the soul.
Jiang Yu did not take the initiative, allowing Rong Wei to peel her open little by little, seeing all of her.
It was a very strange sensation, like reaching the clouds, completely drowning one in the past.
…
When it was over, both of them were somewhat lost in thought.
Jiang Yu was actually satisfied; she hadn’t felt such an exhilarating feeling in a long time. But her consciousness was a bit blurry, and she didn’t have much strength left. The discomfort from the soaked sheets when her legs were truly placed on the bed made her instinctively frown.
She didn’t want to move yet, and shifted a little towards a clean spot.
She mused to herself that Rong Wei truly had foresight. Otherwise, at this moment, having to call someone to clean the sheets, or having to squeeze to sleep in this guest room, neither of them would be comfortable.
Once she had rested enough, Jiang Yu glanced at Rong Wei, not paying much attention to what she was doing, and stood up directly, walking to the living area where her bag was placed.
The view from the fifty-sixth floor was excellent. The lights outside were no longer as lively and bright as before.
How much time had actually passed?
This question popped into Jiang Yu’s mind.
She slowly lit up her phone screen.
2:30 AM. Two hours had already passed.
Jiang Yu sat in the chair, still in a state of reverie, and pulled out a blueberry burst women’s cigarette from her bag.
This kind of cigarette had a sweet blueberry flavor, mixed with a faint mint, which was quite refreshing.
The crimson flame flared up in the darkness. Jiang Yu held the cigarette in her hand, lost in thought for a moment.
Actually, her nicotine addiction wasn’t serious; carrying it with her was just for occasional need.
She leaned back in the chair, seeming to slowly regain her senses.
Vaguely, Jiang Yu seemed to see Rong Wei’s figure walking towards her.
Rong Wei’s voice was still faint, only a little more languid than usual, a distinct, extremely secret kind of sexiness.
“You smoke?”
Jiang Yu hummed, leaning against the chair, fiddling with the lighter in her hand, and subconsciously asked, “A post-coital cigarette. Do you mind, Ms. Rong?”
Rong Wei didn’t speak, but just walked to Jiang Yu’s side.
Jiang Yu hadn’t intended for Rong Wei to breathe her secondhand smoke, but she hadn’t expected Rong Wei to suddenly lean closer. She was a bit confused and subconsciously wanted to move the cigarette to another position.
Just then, Rong Wei grabbed her wrist, and with her other hand, lightly used two fingers to take the cigarette.
Rong Wei casually pulled up a chair and sat facing her. The firelight transferred to her, burning between her fingers.
The next second, Jiang Yu saw Rong Wei take a puff, then she leaned closer, bit Jiang Yu’s lip, and passed the smoke to her.
