The Delicate Beauty Grabbed the Cannon Fodder Villain’s Script [Quick Transmigration] - Chapter 23
Jian Tao was momentarily stunned, seemingly not understanding what Jiang Shi meant. With a stray tear still clinging to the corner of his eye, he asked piteously for clarification, “See, see what below?”
This question made Jiang Shi freeze as well. He had been in a state of pure rage, his brain completely bypassed by impulse. Now that he was asked to explain, he suddenly found the words difficult to voice.
However, he followed his inner drive. “I said, I want to see if you have been used. So I need to look there.”
This time, Jian Tao understood. Immediately, as if he had suffered a mortal insult, he began to struggle violently. He shoved and clawed at the man pinned on top of him. “Screw you, Jiang Shi! You pervert! Get out! Get out of here!”
He was certain that Jiang Shi was trying to humiliate him. Because Su Wen had rubbed him with alcohol, Jiang Shi could not stand that he had been so close to Su Wen, and thus wanted to use this method to degrade him.
Jiang Shi’s face turned a deep crimson. He had never been in a relationship, let alone kissed anyone; he never imagined such words would ever come out of his mouth. There had never been anyone who could make him act like such a creep.
With several red scratch marks now lining his neck, Jiang Shi finally climbed off the bed. He pointed at Jian Tao, his face still red as he accused, “Look at the marks all over you! No one would believe you haven’t been slept with!”
Jiang Shi viciously wiped the scratches on his neck. In truth, though he said those harsh words, deep down he didn’t truly believe Jian Tao and Su Wen had done anything.
He could tell from Jian Tao’s reaction. More importantly, Jian Tao was in love with him and was desperate to marry him, so he felt a core sense of confidence and security in that regard.
Meanwhile, Jian Tao felt as if he had suffered a tremendous disgrace. He cried out, “I said I didn’t, so I didn’t!”
Hearing that crying voice made Jiang Shi feel uncomfortable, but he did not offer any comfort. Instead, he reached up to loosen his collar and said intentionally, “You really should strip naked and look in the mirror. With that messy look, no one would believe you are untouched.” He paused for a moment. “You were supposed to marry into our family, but if you are fooling around with others before the wedding, do you think our marriage can still happen?”
Upon hearing this, Jian Tao immediately stopped sobbing. He looked at the man with tear-filled eyes. If the wedding did not happen, his entire plot progression would fail. That was his greatest fear.
Seeing Jian Tao’s terrified expression, Jiang Shi felt a thrill so sharp it made his heart tingle. He could not help but let his lips curl upward. How badly Jian Tao wanted to marry him; he must love him so much.
“How about this,” Jiang Shi said, feigning composure and speaking deliberately. “Come to my house tonight. Let my brother change his opinion of you. You know he is the one who makes the decisions in our family. Otherwise, our wedding might truly be called off.”
Jian Tao clutched the edge of the quilt, looking at Jiang Shi expectantly. “But I am still sick.”
Jiang Shi knew that, of course, but he could not wait any longer. The wedding date was approaching, and he had to change his brother’s mind before then. He had to show his brother that he had truly had a change of heart regarding Jian Tao, and that Jian Tao was not actually that annoying.
“You still have to go,” Jiang Shi said firmly.
Jian Tao had no choice but to pout and agree. “Fine.”
He thought he knew what Jiang Shi was doing. Jiang Shi was surely taking revenge on him, bringing him to see his brother so his brother could kill him off even faster.
Jian Tao felt completely groggy, his skin burning with fever, but under Jiang Shi’s threat, he braced himself and arrived at the Jiang residence.
The interior design here was classical and minimalist, with dark, oppressive tones. It felt like a vampire’s castle that would suck the blood out of anyone who entered.
Jian Tao even felt that he might not need a sugar baby after marriage; Jiang Mu might just hand him his final meal the moment he moved in.
Jiang Shi had ordered the servants to prepare dinner on the dining table in the living room. It was very prominent; anyone entering would see it immediately.
Jiang Shi was actually quite thoughtful; the dishes were all light and easy to digest. However, Jian Tao had no appetite and only sipped his porridge spoonful by spoonful.
Jiang Shi kept his eyes fixed on the door, making Jian Tao feel quite nervous. Finally, they heard the sound of the door opening. Jiang Shi immediately put down his own chopsticks and picked up Jian Tao’s bowl to feed him.
The intimacy of the movement made them look like a genuine couple. After a spoonful, he even helped wipe the corner of Jian Tao’s mouth. This scene happened to fall right into the eyes of Jiang Mu, who had just walked through the door.
He had just returned from work, his sharp suit emphasizing his stern silhouette. His normally tight expression flickered with a hint of surprise at the scene by the table, followed immediately by an aura of heavy, low pressure emanating from his entire being.
At the table, Jiang Shi saw him and immediately said with a smile, “Brother, you are back. You have met Jian Tao before. Since we are getting married soon, I brought him over ahead of time for a visit.”
At that moment, Jian Tao forgot to swallow the porridge in his mouth. He stared at the man at the door, not daring to say a word, because he felt as though Jiang Mu’s gaze was capable of murder.
It was more terrifying than ever before.
