The Crematorium of the Top Omega Chasing After Alpha - Chapter 7.1
Mark! Ming Yu?!
For a moment, Song Qingpei felt as if she were in a dream, a nightmare, no less.
Her eyes widened in shock, unable to believe that Ming Yu would utter such self-degrading words. Yet, looking at Ming Yu’s icy expression and recalling what Dr. Li had told her earlier, Ming Yu’s behavior suddenly made sense.
Ming Yu’s pheromones couldn’t be controlled by inhibitors, so she needed Song Qingpei to soothe her. The self-proclaimed superior general was now forced to compromise, commanding her in such a tone to mark her.
A sense of helpless absurdity made Song Qingpei want to laugh bitterly.
How could Ming Yu think that a single command would make her willingly mark her?
If she had still held onto any delusions before, yesterday’s events had made her acutely aware of Ming Yu’s cold-bloodedness. Now, she wanted nothing to do with Ming Yu.
In an almost mocking tone, she said, “General Ming, how could someone as lowly as me be worthy of marking someone as lofty as you?”
Her words felt like a slap to Ming Yu’s face.
After all, Ming Yu had once said that Song Qingpei was unworthy of marking her, let alone bearing her child.
Overwhelmed by a mix of shame and towering rage, Ming Yu tightened her grip on Song Qingpei.
Song Qingpei struggled desperately to break free, but no matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t escape. Her jaw, even her neck, were firmly held in Ming Yu’s grasp.
“Song Qingpei! Are you trying to get yourself killed?!”
Ming Yu narrowed her eyes, issuing a cold threat.
She knew Song Qingpei was afraid the fear in her eyes was unmistakable yet she stubbornly refused.
“I won’t mark you! Never!”
“Do you think I’m negotiating with you?”
Ming Yu’s gaze grew darker, her grip tightening until it felt as though she might crush Song Qingpei’s jaw. “Song Qingpei, I’m ordering you to mark me now. You have no choice. Otherwise, I’ll carve out your gland and render you completely useless.”
Song Qingpei winced in pain, her voice filled with anger. “Ming Yu! You’re insane! I’d rather have my gland carved out than mark you!”
“Heh, very well.” Ming Yu smirked coldly. “How brave. Then I’ll grant your wish.”
She abruptly released her grip on Song Qingpei’s chin. Clutching her neck, Song Qingpei coughed violently, her eyes still filled with unwavering vigilance.
Ming Yu, however, had reined in her ferocity. Instead, she looked at Song Qingpei with a smile and said leisurely, “Song Qingpei, if I carve out your gland and dump you on some desolate planet, how many days do you think you’d last?”
The question pierced Song Qingpei’s heart like a sharp blade.
She stared at Ming Yu in disbelief. “You wouldn’t dare! Song Song would never forgive you.”
“What makes you think I wouldn’t dare?”
Ming Yu raised an eyebrow slightly, looking at Song Qingpei with disdain. “I won’t deny Song Song’s feelings for you, but a child’s memory is easily shaped. Time can blur things easily. She might miss you for a year, two years, but what about after five or ten years? How much do you think she’d remember you?”
“…”
Song Qingpei fell silent, a deep hatred flashing in her eyes, yet she was powerless to do anything.
Ming Yu looked at Song Qingpei and gave a faint, indifferent smile. “Song Qingpei, if you’re smart, you should know what choice to make. I don’t want any rift to form between you and Song Song, but only if you cooperate with me sensibly. Otherwise…”
By the end of her words, Ming Yu’s expression suddenly turned sharp, her gaze piercing like a blade aimed straight at Song Qingpei’s heart.
Her tone was calm, yet every word carried a chilling, murderous intent.
A cold dread settled in Song Qingpei’s heart. Ming Yu indeed had the ability to accomplish all this without a trace, and right now, she was in no position to oppose her. Compromise was her only option.
Most importantly, she truly couldn’t bear to part with her daughter. For her daughter’s sake.
“I agree,” Song Qingpei murmured through pursed lips, forcing out the words with difficulty, her eyes lowered to conceal the surging hatred within.
“Good,” Ming Yu sneered and nodded, then began unbuttoning her shirt, one button, then another.
Her movements were elegant and composed, as if the venomous threats from moments before had never happened. With the motion of her slender fingers, her delicate and graceful collarbone was revealed, her fair skin glowing temptingly under the light.
Faced with such a sight, Song Qingpei felt no appreciation, only the sense of a beautiful serpent flicking its tongue at her.
At any moment, it might strike and bite her fiercely.
“Begin. The bite mark,” Ming Yu urged coldly, shooting her a warning glare. “Don’t push your luck. Don’t touch anywhere else.”
Her voice was low, as if squeezed through gritted teeth, carrying a chilling undertone.
Song Qingpei snorted disdainfully, a cold laugh echoing in her heart. Today, she finally understood what it meant to be hypocritical as if she were eager to touch her in the first place.
Bracing herself, Song Qingpei reached out and slowly traced the area below Ming Yu’s neck.
Ming Yu instinctively shuddered, and a rich omega pheromone was easily released, instantly filling the confined space.
Her recently stabilized condition shattered instantly, her body burning hot once more, her face flushed, the familiar sense of loss of control washing over her again.
In her panic, Ming Yu snapped with a veneer of anger, “What are you dawdling for? Hurry up.”
Already provoked by the repeated threats, Song Qingpei didn’t hesitate. She leaned close to the gland on Ming Yu’s neck and bit down hard, injecting her own pheromones into Ming Yu’s bloodstream.
Once the marking was done, Song Qingpei quickly stepped back, as if retreating from something monstrous.
Injected with the alpha pheromones, Ming Yu’s eyes involuntarily closed, a blush spreading from the corners of her eyes to her ears. Her neck arched upward, her red lips tightly pressed together, and then she began to tremble, barely able to stand.
The bite mark offered only temporary relief and would soon fade with metabolism.
Song Qingpei hadn’t expected Ming Yu’s reaction to be so intense. Seeing her stumble, she instinctively reached out to steady her, her hand gripping Ming Yu’s waist. Even through the clothing, she could feel the scorching heat radiating from her body.
At her touch, Ming Yu let out an involuntary, restless moan. “Mmm…”
The sound froze Song Qingpei in place, unsure of what to do.
Biting her lip hard, Ming Yu struggled to utter a few words, “Hn~ Get lost. Don’t touch me.”
Cursing herself for meddling, Song Qingpei pushed Ming Yu away in frustration.
Unsteady on her feet, Ming Yu leaned against the bulkhead and slowly crouched down, burying her head between her arms. Her shoulders trembled uncontrollably, occasionally letting out one or two unbearable moans. It was no longer just discomfort but a heart-palpitating pleasure mixed with a tinge of emptiness.
In a flash, countless memories of gentle caresses flickered through her mind.
Perhaps influenced by the pheromones, she found herself yearning for those tender, lingering touches rather than this cold, ruthless bite a mark that felt almost cruel, as if something essential were missing.
Images of their past intimacy involuntarily surfaced in her thoughts. Ming Yu’s eyes snapped open in shock. Damn it, she had forgotten that pheromones could retain traces of their shared history.
As her mind gradually cleared, she lifted her head and glared fiercely at the indifferent Song Qingpei across from her.
Song Qingpei remained unruffled inside.
Don’t pity a cold-blooded, unreasonable omega, it only leads to misfortune.
Seeing that Ming Yu appeared to have regained her composure, Song Qingpei spoke directly, “May I leave now?”
After a brief pause, she added, “Song Song will wake up soon. She’ll worry if she can’t find me.”
Ming Yu shot her a cold glance. “I’m coming with you to see Song Song.”
Despite her reluctance, Song Qingpei couldn’t refuse. Without another word, she strode quickly out of the confinement room this wretched place she never wanted to set foot in again.
Walking one behind the other, they were as cold and distant as strangers.
It was hard to believe that not long ago, the two had just engaged in an intimate marking act.
