- Chapter 32 - Sister, Mark Me Quickly!
It was an almost instinctive reaction, as if calling out to the deepest desires within each other.
“Sister!” Mengmeng’s voice rippled softly like a gentle breeze, carrying a hint of unease and longing. “I want you to kiss me, touch me.”
Song Qingpei’s heart tightened, as if struck in its most vulnerable spot by this plea. Her fingers involuntarily traced patterns on Mengmeng’s skin, feeling her warmth and pulse.
Mengmeng’s breathing grew rapid, her body leaning forward slightly in anticipation, yearning to be closer to Song Qingpei.
In an instant, an uncontrollable desire ignited within Song Qingpei, as if countless sparks were exploding in her heart, setting every nerve ablaze.
“Mengmeng!”
She whispered the name, gradually increasing the pressure of her touch on the gland at the back of Mengmeng’s neck. Each gentle contact sent electric currents coursing through them, leaving Mengmeng’s breaths nearly shattered.
“Sister, you, you’re bullying me.”
Hearing this, Song Qingpei’s heart softened with tenderness, yet mixed with a trace of helplessness.
She lowered her head and gently kissed away Mengmeng’s tears, soothing her in a soft voice, “I didn’t mean to, Mengmeng. It’ll be over soon.”
“Sister, I want! Mark me! Mark me completely, quickly.”
Tears of longing glistened in Mengmeng’s eyes, as if she were anticipating a feast of ecstasy.
Ming Yu slowly opened her eyes and shifted slightly, realizing she was held tightly in Song Qingpei’s embrace. The warmth radiating through their skin left her momentarily dazed.
Her body still carried the lingering echoes of pleasure from the previous night, along with a faint emptiness and an unspeakable.
Dissatisfaction.
Last night, they had been on the verge of that final step. Song Qingpei had nearly lost control and marked her completely, yet she had forcefully restrained herself, resorting once more to a temporary mark to soothe her. Even so, the pleasure from Song Qingpei’s voluntary temporary mark far surpassed the intensity of when she had been coerced.
That profound sense of compatibility, as if their very souls had been branded with each other’s imprint.
The instincts of her body made her increasingly yearn for a complete mark.
Just the thought of their previous intimate union made her body heat up uncontrollably, as if countless ants were crawling deep within her tingling, itching making her wish to be fiercely.
Realizing where her thoughts were heading, Ming Yu’s cheeks flushed crimson, and she inwardly scorned herself for such absurd ideas. Yet, when she closed her eyes, images from the previous night involuntarily surfaced in her mind herself writhing beneath Song Qingpei, calling out “sister” in a soft, pleading voice, even actively begging through tears to be completely marked.
At this thought, the tips of Ming Yu’s ears turned bright red, and a wave of shame washed over her.
“Damn it, I’m two years older than her.”
Ming Yu grumbled inwardly, feeling that Song Qingpei had taken advantage of her amnesia.
Yet, her body instinctively nestled closer into Song Qingpei’s embrace. Her fingers lightly brushed over Song Qingpei’s chest, feeling her steady breathing, and her heart swirled with mixed emotions.
Last night, she had been entirely governed by the instincts of her amnesiac self. Now, fully conscious, she felt uncertain how to face Song Qingpei.
Just as her thoughts tangled in confusion, Song Qingpei also awoke.
Ming Yu, for some unknown reason, suddenly closed her eyes.
Song Qingpei shifted her arm slightly, glanced down at the person in her embrace, and a complex expression flickered in her eyes.
Last night, “Mengmeng” had appeared again, leaving her both satisfied and conflicted. Especially when “Mengmeng” called her “sister” in that state, it had nearly shattered her self-control.
Fortunately, reason had returned at the critical moment, preventing her from making an irreversible mistake.
Now, with a clearer mind, she felt increasingly that all of this defied logic. She suspected it might be another one of Ming Yu’s tricks. Yet, no matter what being able to see “Mengmeng” again was a luxury she hadn’t dared to hope for.
But until she could figure things out, she must not lose herself in it or let desire lead her into a grave mistake.
Song Qingpei repeatedly reminded herself that the current “Mengmeng” was not the same as her wife.
After steeling herself for a long time, she finally opened her mouth to speak, “Meng…”
But she stopped after uttering just one word, abruptly recalling the last time Ming Yu had appeared in the “Mengmeng” state. The next day, she had returned to normal, leaving both of them deeply embarrassed.
Thinking of this, she gently nudged the person in her arms.
Ming Yu’s body stiffened slightly before she pretended to have just woken up, drowsily opening her eyes.
Seeing she was awake, Song Qingpei couldn’t gauge her current state and tentatively asked, “You’re awake?”
Hearing this, Ming Yu shifted her body, inadvertently brushing against Song Qingpei beneath the covers. She deliberately let her fingertips graze Song Qingpei’s abdomen, then turned her head to observe her reaction.
Song Qingpei’s body tensed instantly, though she feigned nonchalance on the surface.
Finding this amusing, Ming Yu deliberately said, “Last night, what happened? I can’t seem to remember clearly.”
At this, Song Qingpei couldn’t help but scrutinize Ming Yu, as if probing for something.
Feeling uneasy under her gaze, Ming Yu pretended to be calm. “What’s wrong? Why are you staring at me like that?”
Unconvinced by her reaction, Song Qingpei tested further, “You really don’t remember anything?”
Ming Yu rested her forehead on her hand, pretending to think deeply. She decided to play dumb for now and see how Song Qingpei would react.
Adopting a thoughtful expression, she spoke haltingly, “It’s not that I remember nothing. I recall coming to your room last night to wait for you, then falling asleep. After that, things get blurry. You were holding me, and it seemed like you even took the initiative to kiss me.”
She deliberately emphasized the word “initiative” and watched Song Qingpei’s expression closely.
Unfortunately, Song Qingpei merely listened attentively. After Ming Yu finished speaking, she asked another question, “You don’t remember anything else?”
Secretly frustrated by Song Qingpei’s calm reaction, Ming Yu pretended to think again, then suddenly seemed to have an epiphany. “Did my heat cycle come again last night? Did you take the initiative to soothe me?”
This last sentence was almost a direct challenge.
She waited for Song Qingpei to admit that she had taken the initiative last night. That way, Ming Yu could argue that Song Qingpei still had feelings for her, which was why she had initiated such intimacy contrary to her claim of having completely moved on.
But to her utter surprise, Song Qingpei simply got up and, while dressing, casually replied, “Yes, your heat cycle did come last night. I honored our agreement and temporarily soothed you.”
“Just honoring the agreement?” Ming Yu stared in disbelief.
Song Qingpei turned to look at her. “What else?”
A casually uttered “Otherwise?” left Ming Yu in a dilemma.
If she accepted Song Qingpei’s explanation, it would be like “the dumb eating bitter herbs”, she’d have to suffer in silence. But if she didn’t accept it, she would have to admit that she had lied, that she remembered everything, and then she’d inevitably have to explain herself thoroughly to Song Qingpei.
Ming Yu’s thoughts raced in an instant. She realized she had already fallen into the trap Song Qingpei had set. After weighing her options, she decided to swallow the bitter pill for now. She wasn’t yet ready to let Song Qingpei know she had undergone hypnosis.
Gritting her teeth inwardly, she muttered sullenly, “Never mind.”
And so, the two tacitly agreed to feign ignorance, letting the awkward topic drop.
Feeling the sting of her silent defeat, Ming Yu’s every movement carried a hint of pent-up frustration. She tossed the blanket aside once again and got up to search for her clothes, which were scattered all over the room. When she picked up the bra lying at the foot of the bed, she realized its straps had already been torn.
Deliberately holding up the bra, she shot a questioning look at Song Qingpei.
“Heh,” she said sarcastically, “Song Qingpei, since when did you become so violent?”
Song Qingpei turned her head just in time to see Ming Yu half-sitting on the edge of the bed, completely naked, holding the torn bra with an air of haughty indignation as she confronted her. Her beautiful eyes seemed to still burn with smoldering anger.
The scene inexplicably exuded a comical allure, making Song Qingpei chuckle softly.
Ming Yu seemed to sense something amiss. Furious, she threw the bra into the trash can and snapped in embarrassment, “What are you laughing at? Go get me a set of pajamas!”
Suppressing a smile, Song Qingpei fetched an unworn set of pajamas from the wardrobe and handed them to her.
Snatching the pajamas irritably, Ming Yu slipped them on directly without any undergarments, loosely tying the sash.
A familiar image flashed through Song Qingpei’s mind, a time when Ming Yu had come to her room wearing pajamas with provocative lingerie underneath. For a moment, the two scenes seemed to overlap.
Realizing where her thoughts had wandered, Song Qingpei felt utterly ashamed. Have I gone mad?
For once, Song Qingpei felt the urge to flee from Ming Yu.
She said awkwardly, “I’ll go check if Song Song is awake.”
Completely oblivious to Song Qingpei’s discomfort, Ming Yu stormed back to her room to take a shower.
Song Qingpei woke Song Song, got her ready, and took her downstairs for breakfast.
Shortly after they sat down, Ming Yu descended the stairs, dressed in a black military uniform with gold embellishments that accentuated her tall, slender figure. Knee-high military boots made her legs appear even longer and her waist slimmer.
She walked down the stairs slowly, step by step, like a queen surveying her domain.
At the corner, she stretched lazily, like a contented cat.
Sitting down across from the two, Ming Yu first glanced at Song Qingpei, then asked Song Song, “Song Song, did you sleep well last night?”
“Mm, I slept until Mommy woke me up. But…”
At this point, Song Song paused, scratching her little head with a troubled expression, her face full of regret. “I had a dream. In the dream, Mommy and Mama took me to kindergarten to play, but I woke up before we finished. So disappointing!”
“Song Song, do you want to go out and play?” Ming Yu asked with a smile.
Song Song nodded vigorously, her face full of longing. “Can we?”
Who could resist such an adorable sight?
Mingyu nearly blurted out, “Of course we can, just…” She mentally ran through her schedule and realized she couldn’t squeeze out any time during the day. Unwilling to disappoint Songsong, she suggested in a negotiating tone, “Mommy doesn’t have time during the day. How about we go out in the evening instead?”
“Okay, okay! Mommy is the best!”
Songsong cheered happily, showering her with endless flattery and filling the emotional atmosphere with positivity.
Under her daughter’s adoration, Mingyu’s mood lifted considerably. Her gaze drifted back to Song Qingpei, who was silently portioning out food for Songsong with her head bowed, seemingly uninterested in joining the conversation.
So, Mingyu spoke with a hint of implication, “Songsong, Mommy had a dream last night too.”
Songsong played along eagerly, “What did you dream about, Mommy?”
“Mommy can’t remember clearly, but I just recall.” She deliberately drew out her words, glancing at Song Qingpei as she said slowly, “Your mother kissed me on her own.”
“Wow!”
Songsong gasped in admiration, turning her innocent eyes to Song Qingpei. “Mom, did you secretly kiss Mommy?”
That remark struck Mingyu instantly truly her daughter.
Seeing the two of them playing off each other, Song Qingpei didn’t answer the question. Instead, she stuffed food into Songsong’s mouth. “Hurry up and eat. You have to go to school soon.” Then, with a pointed tone, she added, “No talking during meals or while resting.”
For some reason, Mingyu found the phrase oddly familiar.
The lively conversation quickly came to an end, and the atmosphere at the table grew subtly tense.
Songsong sat between the two, eating her breakfast while secretly observing her mother and mommy’s expressions.
She could sense something off between them, but it didn’t seem like anger. She had no idea what was happening, and her curiosity was killing her.
“Mommy, why aren’t you eating breakfast?” Songsong looked up and asked innocently.
“Mommy isn’t hungry. You go ahead and eat.”
Mingyu’s eyes remained fixed on Song Qingpei, inwardly annoyed that she had almost forgotten the main issue. The matter of getting Song Qingpei to resign still hadn’t been resolved. Thinking about how she had exerted so much effort the previous night without achieving her goal only deepened her frustration, it felt like she had lost both the battle and the war.
Seeing Song Qingpei still feigning ignorance, clearly intent on continuing to go to work, Mingyu decided to test the waters directly. “Songsong, how about Mommy takes you to school later? Let Mom rest at home.”
Song Qingpei’s hand, holding the chopsticks, paused. She glanced up at Mingyu and stated bluntly, “I’ll take her. It’s on my way to the company.”
Seeing her lay her cards on the table, Mingyu dropped all pretense, her tone dripping with undisguised anger. “I told you, you can’t go back to work at Lanhai.”
Song Qingpei’s expression darkened. “Mingyu, I made myself very clear yesterday as well. This job is important to me. I won’t give it up.”
“It’s just a job. Is it really that important?” Mingyu couldn’t understand. “If you want to work, I can arrange something else for you. But you must resign from Lanhai.”
Hearing this, Song Qingpei grew furious at her domineering tone. “Mingyu, I don’t want to discuss this any further. I have my own plans. Please respect my choices.”
“Song Qingpei, you’re being utterly stubborn.”
Song Qingpei couldn’t help retorting, “Who’s the stubborn one here? Do you always have to control everything so forcefully?”
The tension between them escalated rapidly.
Song Song widened her eyes in fright, her voice tinged with a hint of grievance, “Mom, Mommy, please don’t argue anymore, okay?”
Ming Yu and Song Qingpei both froze for a moment, falling into silence simultaneously.
“Song Song, Mom and Mommy aren’t arguing, we’re just discussing some things,” Song Qingpei reassured, gently patting Song Song’s head.
But Song Song shook her head and whispered, “But you both looked so fierce just now. Mommy, why have you become bad-tempered again? Yesterday, you were so gentle you didn’t argue with Mom and even played with me.”
A wave of irritation surged within Ming Yu, and the calm on her face was barely sustainable.
She simply couldn’t understand why everyone seemed to prefer that ‘Mengmeng.’
“I have matters to attend to at the military department. I’ll take my leave now.”
With that, she stood up and left the dining room, leaving Song Qingpei and Song Song exchanging bewildered glances.
Song Song looked confused and asked softly, “Mom, is Mommy angry?”
Song Qingpei sighed and gently patted Song Song’s head. “It’s alright. Finish your breakfast first, and then I’ll take you to school.”
Song Song nodded and lowered her head to continue eating.
As Song Qingpei thought of last night’s Mengmeng and Ming Yu’s behavior today as if they were two different people, she silently reminded herself that, no matter what, she must figure out why ‘Mengmeng’ had suddenly appeared.
She couldn’t let herself sink deeper into this confusion any longer.
