The Cold and Distant Actress is Too Obsessive - Chapter 24
Having a stuffy nose from a cold is undoubtedly one of the most unbearable things in the world. Xu Youyan never expected her constitution to become so weak. Back in the day, she could withstand harsh winds and drizzling rain, dancing for hours on end at concerts without any issues.
“Have some congee first, then take your medicine.”
The hotel environment was decent. Bo Zhoucheng retrieved the congee from outside the door, opened the lid, scooped a spoonful, gently blew on it, and brought it to Xu Youyan’s lips.
“Sorry for the trouble.”
Xu Youyan’s voice was thick with nasal congestion.
“Yanyan, you don’t have to apologize to me. But if you feel guilty.”
Bo Zhoucheng suddenly leaned in, her nose almost touching Xu Youyan’s cheek.
Xu Youyan blinked, instinctively thinking the other was about to take liberties with her, so she abruptly leaned back, her back pressing against the headboard.
“I have a cold right now. If you dare kiss me, you’ll catch it too.”
Bo Zhoucheng froze for a moment but didn’t move any closer.
“What I meant was, if you feel guilty, then get better soon.”
“Next time you feel cold, just tell me. Delaying filming that kind of scene for a day or two doesn’t matter.”
Bo Zhoucheng held the plastic spoon, her slender fingers tapping lightly on the takeout container.
“Alright, come over now and have some congee.”
Xu Youyan couldn’t help but feel that the coaxing tone sounded like it was meant for a pet. But her stomach was indeed a bit empty, so she obediently shifted closer.
Bo Zhoucheng fed her with immense patience.
“I’m full.”
Soon, only about half the bowl of congee remained. Xu Youyan didn’t have much of an appetite, and with her dizziness from the cold, she didn’t feel like eating much.
“You have to finish it.”
Unexpectedly, Bo Zhoucheng scooped another spoonful.
“I can’t eat anymore.”
“You’ve barely eaten anything.”
Bo Zhoucheng knew Xu Youyan’s appetite all too well. The small amount of congee she’d consumed was barely a third of her usual intake. That simply wouldn’t do.
With that, her slightly cool fingers pressed against Xu Youyan’s abdomen.
“Your hand is cold, don’t.”
Xu Youyan covered her stomach, a shiver running down her spine, raising fine goosebumps.
“You’re so thin you’re practically skin and bones, and you still don’t want to eat more?”
Bo Zhoucheng frowned, recalling a time when she had promised to return home early but ended up delayed due to family matters.
Xu Youyan had acted the same way back then sulking and refusing to eat.
Left with no choice, Bo Zhoucheng had resorted to semi-forceful measures.
“One more bite.”
Bo Zhoucheng raised an eyebrow slightly, and Xu Youyan had no choice but to open her mouth reluctantly. Yet, as soon as she finished one spoonful, another was already at her lips.
“Bo Zhoucheng.”
Xu Youyan looked up at her.
“One more bite, and I’ll agree to anything you want.”
Bo Zhoucheng blinked, still hoping she’d at least eat a little more.
During the long period when Xu Youyan was widely criticized online, she had lost her appetite, which led to some stomach issues. If she went too long without eating, the problems would flare up again.
Xu Youyan’s eyes lit up.
“You said it yourself.”
If she could boss her rival around as she pleased, she could easily finish not just one bowl of congee, but ten.
Xu Youyan took a few more bites.
Only then did Bo Zhoucheng set the bowl down contentedly, fetched the medicine, placed it in Xu Youyan’s palm, and handed her a glass of warm water.
“After taking the medicine, you should feel better.”
Xu Youyan swallowed the pills in one go, then looked at Bo Zhoucheng with sparkling eyes.
“You said you’d agree to one condition.”
Xu Youyan didn’t have many hobbies in this life, but.
If she could suppress Bo Zhoucheng, watch her cry, watch her beg for mercy.
Just the thought of it made Xu Youyan unable to contain her excitement.
Bo Zhoucheng nodded, not intending to renege on her promise, and looked at Xu Youyan with a serious expression.
“Do you want to use this opportunity now?”
Bo Zhoucheng reached out and tidied Xu Youyan’s disheveled hair. Youyan’s face could hardly hide anything with just one glance, it was clear what she was thinking.
It was nothing more than thoughts of rebellion.
“Of course not, I’m still so weak right now. But I’ve already thought about what I want to demand from you.”
Even though she still had a cold, having her attention diverted made Xu Youyan feel less dizzy and her vision less blurry.
She leaned in closer, her lips brushing against Bo Zhoucheng’s ear, full of provocation.
“I want you to submit to me.”
Bo Zhoucheng nodded.
“Don’t complain about your hands getting sore later.”
Xu Youyan:
Ahem, she wasn’t that weak.
Xu Youyan stayed in the hotel for a day or two, and her cold quickly improved.
She could officially return to work tomorrow, so today she eagerly dragged Bo Zhoucheng along.
“Hurry up.”
“It’s my turn now.”
Xu Youyan was a proud person. Even after getting together with Bo Zhoucheng, she still wanted to be the dominant one.
Bo Zhoucheng was pushed against the wardrobe, making a slight noise. She let out a helpless laugh and wrapped her arms around Xu Youyan.
“Are you sure? It’s still daytime.”
“If you don’t want to, forget it.”
Xu Youyan looked up at Bo Zhoucheng, remembering the pain from the last time she fell off the sofa, and couldn’t help but want to tease Bo Zhoucheng mercilessly.
“Of course I want ”
Bo Zhoucheng raised her hand, her slender fingers unbuttoning her collar, revealing her pale collarbone hidden beneath the fabric.
Before she could finish her sentence, a rapid doorbell rang out.
“Damn, what perfect timing.”
Xu Youyan frowned, displeased, but before she could say anything more, her mouth was covered.
“Youyan, as a celebrity, you need to watch your image.”
“There’s only the two of us here, Bo Zhoucheng. Why are you pretending?”
Xu Youyan instinctively retorted, but the urgency of the doorbell didn’t allow them to continue the conversation.
Xu Youyan walked over and opened the door.
Cheng Zhun stood awkwardly at the door, while Su Cha fiddled with her phone, pretending she hadn’t interrupted anything.
Cheng Zhun waved, the forced smile on his face betraying his unease.
“Hi, Youyan.”
“How was your nap?”
Seeing it was her long-time assistant, Xu Youyan couldn’t bring herself to scold him and could only sigh in exasperation.
“You really know how to pick your timing.”
As a married man, Cheng Zhun only needed a quick glance to notice Xu Youyan’s disheveled clothes. He knew perfectly well that he had interrupted something, and he lowered his head even more apologetically.
“You need to go back to filming. The director has been urging several times.”
Just then, Bo Zhoucheng had already buttoned up her clothes and walked out of the room.
She held a coat in her hand and draped it over Xu Youyan’s shoulders.
“Let’s go.”
The crew had makeup artists and stylists, so they didn’t need to worry about their hair or appearance.
Because of Xu Youyan’s cold, the main storyline had been temporarily put on hold. For the past two days, they had been filming the supporting cast’s scenes, with the entire crew focusing almost entirely on the third female lead.
The other party was a minor celebrity. Bo Zhoucheng didn’t participate in the casting for the remaining supporting roles, leaving it entirely to the director’s discretion.
She had only occasionally heard about the third female lead, and they were merely nodding acquaintances during award ceremonies and red carpet events.
Yet, she never expected that just a few days of filming would give the other person the audacity to act so boldly.
