The Cold and Distant Actress is Too Obsessive - Chapter 20
Hearing the noise behind her, Bo Zhoucheng turned around, her brows furrowed in displeasure.
“I’ve said before, no one is to disturb me while I’m practicing my lines.”
Her words trailed off as she saw Xu Youyan standing there with her mouth slightly agape.
Bo Zhoucheng froze, her body stiffening, and she awkwardly hid the doll behind her back.
“Yanyan, you’re back.”
“What were you doing?”
Xu Youyan took a step forward, nearly stepping on the oranges, so she crouched down to pick them up.
“Nothing.”
Bo Zhoucheng felt extremely awkward, but her eyes lit up when she caught sight of the bright yellow oranges.
“You bought my favorite fruit.”
Bo Zhoucheng crouched down and patiently helped pick up the scattered fruit.
“Bo Zhoucheng… I think you should see a doctor too.”
Xu Youyan hesitated, her words trailing off.
Bo Zhoucheng sighed helplessly, knowing that being caught in such a situation must make her seem like a total creep, but she still tried to explain patiently.
“I was just practicing.”
“Practicing what, acting? Bo Zhoucheng, that’s a pretty weak excuse.”
Xu Youyan instinctively retorted.
Bo Zhoucheng took a deep breath, grabbed the other’s wrist, ignoring the oranges scattered on the floor, and pinned her down on the sofa.
“Look at me, Yanyan, look at me.”
“You weren’t afraid of me before. Your behavior is strange now. Maybe you’re tired of me. I’ll give you a chance today you can walk out that door.”
Bo Zhoucheng suppressed the pain in her expression.
“Just this once, my love for you allows me to give you this one choice.”
“If you really don’t like me anymore, walk out and don’t come back.”
Bo Zhoucheng wanted to possess this person madly, but at the same time, she loved her deeply, so she forced herself to make a choice a painful one.
Xu Youyan didn’t move.
“You’re not afraid anymore?”
Bo Zhoucheng looked at her, puzzled. She had given her a chance to escape, so why hadn’t she taken it?
“Actually.”
“You’re not that scary, and not that annoying either.”
Bo Zhoucheng’s face was cupped in Xu Youyan’s soft hands. Her heart wavered, but this time, she was determined.
“Don’t force me to make a choice. You’re fine, it’s just that I.”
My love for you isn’t as deep as it used to be.
She wasn’t the Xu Youyan from ten years later, deeply in love with Bo Zhoucheng, but the Xu Youyan from ten years ago, who held a grudge against Bo Zhoucheng over a single remark.
“Don’t say anymore.”
Bo Zhoucheng pressed a finger to the other’s lips, her eyes filled with joy.
“Are you saying you’re willing to stay?”
Xu Youyan nodded.
The next moment, soft, relentless kisses descended like a storm, overwhelming and suffocating, leaving no time to react.
Xu Youyan’s fingers were tightly interlaced with hers, trapped within the confines of the small sofa.
Xu Youyan had worn a thick coat when she arrived, and the clasps were troublesome to undo.
But Bo Zhoucheng undid them swiftly, and soon the clasps slipped open.
“Yanyan, can I continue?”
Bo Zhoucheng had been craving this for a long time. Now that she had finally caught her prey, she wasn’t about to let go so easily.
“Mmm.”
Xu Youyan’s heart was racing, but she refused to show weakness in front of this person. She knew that today, she was a lamb caught in a tiger’s den, and tomorrow she would surely suffer from a sore back and weak legs.
So she wrapped her arms around Bo Zhoucheng and pressed her lips to her ear.
“I promise you, you can’t neglect me anymore.”
Xu Youyan felt like she was sick after just one or two months together, she couldn’t bear to be apart from this person.
Before, Xu Youyan had been strictly managed by her company, and her relationship with her teammates was purely that of colleagues.
She had never experienced romance and had no idea what this feeling was like now.
But,
Bo Zhoucheng was very gentle.
“Yanyan, don’t be nervous.”
She would always whisper gently by her ear, easing the trembling in Xu Youyan’s body.
Cheng Zhun waited at the door for a long time. Finally, the door to Bo Zhoucheng’s apartment opened.
Xu Youyan was wearing a mask, her hair covering her brows. Without careful observation, it was almost impossible to tell who she was.
But,
Cheng Zhun’s gaze drifted downward, and sure enough, he noticed faint, indistinct marks, like winter plum blossoms scattered across her neck in spring faint and mottled.
It seemed the two had reconciled.
Cheng Zhun sighed inwardly. Bo Zhoucheng gently held her and walked all the way to the elevator.
“Does it still hurt?”
Yesterday, Xu Youyan had unfortunately rolled off the sofa and, of all things, injured her waist. She had grimaced in pain.
Bo Zhoucheng had to stop immediately, wipe her fingers clean with a tissue, and hurriedly apply medicine for her.
But these words took on a different meaning in the ears of Cheng Zhun and Su Cha.
“What do you think.”
Xu Youyan didn’t even want to move. The thought of filming the show today made her feel like dying.
“I shouldn’t have indulged you so much.”
Xu Youyan gently rubbed her waist, thinking that next time she’d have to make Bo Zhoucheng put a blanket under the sofa. At least then, if she got pushed off, there’d be something to cushion her fall.
Previously, the group had been filming the show in a homestay, but today they had switched to a seaside inn.
The first floor was a bar, though the production team had already reserved it for the day.
By now, the first episode’s trailer had been released. Xu Youyan had expected the fans of both sides to clash fiercely.
But in reality, her Weibo account was eerily quiet.
Many years ago, after Bo Zhoucheng publicly supported Xu Youyan, Xu Youyan’s fans had stopped targeting Bo Zhoucheng.
The drinks at the counter were available to them. As soon as Xu Youyan entered, she was captivated by the dazzling array of alcohol.
“You’re not allowed to get drunk.”
Bo Zhoucheng stopped her, carefully reminding her.
“I know.”
With cameras around, Xu Youyan was still very well-behaved.
Their rooms were on the second floor. Xu Youyan’s waist wasn’t in great shape, so she didn’t go upstairs to drop off her luggage. Bo Zhoucheng carried both suitcases up by herself.
She came back down, intending to carry Xu Youyan up as well.
“Let me carry you. With your waist injury, it’s not convenient for you to climb the stairs.”
This small inn had no elevator; the only way up and down was on foot.
Xu Youyan shook her head, refusing the offer.
“If you carry me, your fans will definitely curse me out.”
She still cared about her pride and didn’t want to be labeled as a helpless, pampered princess even though that tag had followed her for a long time.
“They won’t.”
Bo Zhoucheng reached out, and Xu Youyan was pulled into her embrace. Her legs instinctively wrapped around Bo Zhoucheng, and she was lifted effortlessly.
“The people around me all know I’m going to marry you.”
“Those fans must have heard some rumors, more or less.”
Bo Zhoucheng made her living through acting. In the end, she didn’t care much about her fans it seemed more appropriate to call them movie enthusiasts.
Xu Youyan swung her legs, her thoughts drifting back to the warmth of Bo Zhoucheng’s hands as she lay on the sofa yesterday.
The tips of her ears flushed red. She never imagined her first soulful encounter would happen on a sofa.
Of course, it would have been even better if she hadn’t fallen off.
