The CEO Omega’s 'Soft Rice' Alpha - Chapter 87
Chapter 87
Old Man Su meant what he said. In just a few short hours, he had bundled Su Yi’an into a car headed for the Lan family estate and notified the eldest Lan brother.
Fearing that Su’s mother would be too soft-hearted to watch her daughter be beaten, Old Man Su came alone, keeping her in the dark. He looked at his daughter, who hadn’t said a word but showed no sign of resistance. Alongside his irritation, a hint of suspicion rose in his heart.
“You’re not running?” Old Man Su asked.
Eighty percent of the people currently working for the Su family were under this daughter’s control. He didn’t believe for a second that she hadn’t received news that he was going to tie her up and take her to the Lan family; in fact, he hadn’t even hung up the phone when he gave the order to his subordinates.
An’an’s current state made it look as if she were specifically waiting for him to arrive. Usually, she was sharp as a tack; if she didn’t want to be here today, she would have had dozens of ways to escape. For instance, back when he arranged blind dates for her, she never once showed up.
This was why Old Man Su was suspicious. For a moment, he even wondered if he was being played by his own daughter. He didn’t necessarily want to hurt her; he just wanted to give the Lan family an explanation.
After all, she was the child he had doted on since she was small; there was no way he didn’t love her. He was truly baffled as to how she could have done such a thing.
Now that it had happened, his goal today was to resolve the matter and see the attitude of the “deceived” little sister… the deceived daughter-in-law. He wanted to see if she could still live with An’an. If they could reconcile, then this wasn’t a huge disaster, but if the girl was unwilling, he truly intended to make this scoundrel daughter of his lose a layer of skin.
His daughter had grown up without ever being close to an Omega; for her to suddenly do something like this made him feel angry, heartbroken, and mostly disappointed that she hadn’t lived up to his expectations. He couldn’t help but reflect: had he pressured her to marry so much that his normally upright daughter had turned into a deviant?
Su Yi’an was tied up with thick ropes in a “five-flower” bind. Influenced by Flower Country culture, Old Man Su had even ordered several bramble switches to be tied to her back. She hadn’t been beaten yet, but Su Yi’an guessed the switches were for her. Her father likely wanted to whip her in front of the Lan family for a better effect. Su Yi’an didn’t mind at all; she even took the time to shift into a more comfortable position. “I’m not running. It was my fault; I’m willing to be punished.”
However, her skin was delicate. This small movement caused red rope burns to appear on her wrists, making her look genuinely mistreated. Since they were both in the backseat, Old Man Su saw the marks clearly. He stole several glances at her, his eyes darkening. “Tell me the truth—what’s the situation? What is the daughter-in-law thinking, and how do you plan to handle it?”
Su Yi’an replied, “I like her. I want to be with her. Sister is still angry.” Her gaze was firm; she was clearly serious.
Old Man Su finally caught on. He couldn’t help but reach out and pinch her ear. “Are you using your old man? You useless thing—you can’t even chase your own wife and need your father to help.” Having navigated the business world for years, he’d seen all sorts of people; his daughter’s little scheme couldn’t stay hidden from him for long. He was disdainful, but his tone was noticeably lighter.
Previously, he had wanted to ask his “Little Brother Lan” for a chance for Su Yi’an to meet Lan Yan. At that time, Brother Lan had told him that Lan Yan was already married and very much in love with the little Alpha she had married.
He had felt it was a pity then, agonizing for days before telling An’an because he feared she would be heartbroken. Now it turned out the little Alpha was this very scoundrel. If it was mutual love, things would be much easier to handle.
“I am not,” Su Yi’an insisted, her ears turning red from the pinch, but her mouth remained stubborn. “Dad, I was captured by you.” She wouldn’t admit it; this was all on Old Man Su, so even Sister couldn’t blame her. She wondered if Jiang Mu and his boyfriend had told Sister the news yet.
She hoped Sister wouldn’t fail to show up, or she’d be getting a beating for nothing. At the thought of her Sister, Su Yi’an’s mind drifted.
Seeing her expression, Old Man Su knew exactly what she was thinking. He couldn’t help but sigh: a grown daughter cannot be kept at home. He used to hope his daughter would bring an Omega home; now it seemed Alphas were unreliable—she’d been led away by her wife already.
Old Man Su let go and gave orders to the subordinates in the front: “Don’t anyone hold back later. Wait until the Madam arrives to start. If necessary, draw blood. And if the Lan brothers want to punch this scoundrel first, don’t any of you stop them.”
Su Yi’an: “…” Dad really understands me. But he’s actually going to do it. Even if Sister comes, she won’t be able to tell it’s an act.
She didn’t have a daughter yet, so she was worthless to her father. If she and Sister had a child in the future, Old Man Su would probably forget she even existed. Fine, beat me then. It really is my fault.
The car sped toward the Lan estate and arrived quickly. Old Man Su walked in front, followed by two subordinates escorting Su Yi’an. As soon as they entered the Lan residence, he ordered Su Yi’an to kneel.
When the eldest Lan brother received the news, he was equally shocked. Only now, seeing Old Man Su and Su Yi’an, did the reality sink in. Naturally, his expression was grim. The second and third Lan brothers, as well as Lan Yu, had also received the news and looked equally displeased. Lan Yu’s face, in particular, was as black as coal. Had the eldest brother not warned him beforehand to show respect to Old Man Su, he would have stepped forward to kick Su Yi’an twice.
He hadn’t thought much of this little Alpha when she married Lan Yan; he’d viewed her as a mere tool to stabilize Lan Yan’s pheromones. He never expected her to deceive her. Lan Yan didn’t like Alphas much to begin with—this one was an exception—and she hated deception even more. This Alpha had committed both sins. Lan Yan must be miserable; she probably hadn’t even gone to work today because of her.
“I am sorry. I failed to raise my daughter properly,” Old Man Su apologized immediately to the glaring brothers. “This scoundrel committed marriage fraud. You may punish this unfilial girl however you wish. The Su family is willing to take full responsibility for the daughter-in-law and the future granddaughter, no matter the cost.”
Eldest Brother Lan: “?” As far as he knew, Lan Yan had proposed the marriage herself, and it had even been approved by their late grandfather. It wasn’t exactly “marriage fraud.” The issue they wanted to discuss was Su Yi’an hiding her identity. Does Old Brother Su have some misunderstanding? No wonder he made such a scene and brought her here tied up.
Even in his anger, the eldest brother was a man of facts. “It wasn’t marriage fraud. The main issue is her hiding her identity.”
The other Lan brothers: “!” She got Lan Yan pregnant?! They haven’t been married that long! It was premeditated, wasn’t it?
Su Yi’an, who was in the middle of apologizing, also looked at her father in shock. When had she ever said Sister was pregnant? Was her father an upright man or not? Why was he suddenly using these twists and turns? If Sister were pregnant now, even if she wanted a divorce, the Lan brothers probably wouldn’t allow it.
Old Man Su didn’t see anything wrong with his words. He glared at Su Yi’an. “Old… Brother Lan is asking you something! Are you a mute?” He didn’t even know how to address his friend anymore. Since they were married and had done everything they should and shouldn’t do, a granddaughter was only a matter of time. He called this “planning ahead,” not a scheme.
Su Yi’an lowered her eyes, selfishly choosing not to explain the “child” situation. Instead, she said sincerely, “It was love at first sight for me. But I was afraid she would reject me before getting to know me. After learning she wanted an Alpha for that agreement, I hid my identity to be by her side… Big Brothers, I truly love her. I’m sorry, I was wrong. Please, just hit me.”
In reality, this matter could be large or small depending on Lan Yan’s own attitude. Lan Yu grew angrier the more he thought about it. Hearing Su Yi’an’s last sentence, he impulsively stepped forward, pulled a bramble switch from her back, and whipped her once across the backside. It was clear he didn’t hold back at all. Su Yi’an clenched her teeth and didn’t make a sound.
“Wait…” The eldest brother called out but didn’t actually move to stop him. This was a dirty trick; the one deceived was their precious sister whom they pampered. They were more heartbroken than anyone. One lash was actually letting her off easy.
If she hadn’t been the daughter of his friend, the treatment wouldn’t have been this mild; any other person wouldn’t even be standing here to talk. No one moved, including Old Man Su. However, the expressions of the second and third brothers softened slightly.
“Old Fourth, that’s enough,” the eldest brother said as Lan Yu looked ready to strike again. Lan Yan had chosen to marry her herself, which proved this Alpha had truly reached her heart. What if they broke her? And now that she was “pregnant,” they needed her to take care of Lan Yan.
After marriage, the person closest to Lan Yan was this Alpha. Since Lan Yan had found out before them but hadn’t told them or divorced her immediately, didn’t that say something? As brothers-in-law, a little lesson was enough. The Alpha’s refusal to cry out despite the pain showed she was tough.
He had already notified Lan Yan; they would see what she said when she arrived. Whatever she decided, they would support her unconditionally.
Lan Yu listened to his eldest brother and was about to toss the switch aside when Lan Yan’s urgent voice came from the door. She stumbled as she ran in, her eyes turning red with worry when she saw the switch in Lan Yu’s hand. Right at that moment, Su Yi’an—who hadn’t made a sound until now—let out a small wail and collapsed forward.
Everyone: “…” Old Man Su and the two subordinates silently took two steps back. They didn’t want to admit that this Alpha, who turned into a fragile puddle in front of her wife, was their daughter (Young Mistress). Where did that toughness go? It’s unbearable to watch.
Lan Yan rushed forward and caught her. Her voice trembled as she spoke to her brothers: “Brothers, stop. I don’t blame her for the identity thing. I’ve forgiven her.”
Su Yi’an took the chance to cling to Lan Yan. “Thank you, Sister. I lied to you; it’s right for the Brothers to hit me.” Her eyes had somehow turned red, and with the sweat from the pain on her forehead, she looked as if she had been beaten miserably and was about to cry.
“Does it hurt?” Lan Yan’s hands shook as she untied the ropes, terrified of touching the injury. Summer trousers were thin and short; she could already see the marks on Su Yi’an’s legs. She didn’t look closely, just assumed; in reality, Lan Yu hadn’t hit her legs—those red marks were just rope burns.
Su Yi’an stared at Lan Yan as if afraid she’d run away. “It doesn’t hurt, Sister.” Actually, it hurt like hell; Lan Yu’s strike had been a killing blow. But no matter how much it hurt, it couldn’t compare to the sweetness of being with her Sister. The pain was worth it. She would take several more hits if it meant her Sister would forgive her. It seemed her Sister’s anger had mostly vanished.
Su Yi’an was right. On the way over, Lan Yan had realized she couldn’t let go of her and didn’t want to see her hurt. Jiang Mu was right—if there is love, why hold onto a grudge over this? Life is short; she had to cherish the present, especially since she was nearly thirty.
All the way here, she worried about what her brothers would do to the Alpha. Seeing her tied up and kneeling, and seeing the switch in Fourth Brother’s hand, her heart nearly stopped. The pain in her chest was greater than when she first learned of the deception.
Lan Yu: “…” The switch fell from his hand unnoticed.
The Lan brothers: “…Yan Yan, get up. Fourth Brother was just too angry and lost his temper for a moment. Don’t be mad, be careful of the baby.”
Baby? Lan Yan’s hands paused. She looked at the Alpha leaning against her. While they had been together, they hadn’t really paid attention to that, but wasn’t the Alpha… “incapable”? Although the Alpha kept insisting there might be a child, Lan Yan preferred to believe the doctor, Jiang Mu.
Su Yi’an breathed in the comforting scent of Lan Yan to dull the pain of the lash. Suddenly finding herself stared at, her body stiffened, accidentally pulling at her wound. She grimaced in pain but whispered an explanation: “Dad said it. After he found out I lied to you, he said the Su family has to be responsible for you and the child.
The brothers probably misunderstood.” She also didn’t think she was “potent” enough to succeed in just half a month. Besides, she remembered her Sister’s period was due at the end of the month, more than a week away; there was no way to tell yet. As for a child, it was a matter of fate—it would come when it should, but mainly her Sister had to want it.
Only then did Lan Yan notice the three strangers in the room: a middle-aged man and two suited bodyguards. Before coming, Jiang Mu’s boyfriend had told her who took the Alpha, and her cousin had confirmed it.
So, that middle-aged man must be the Alpha’s father—the “brother” her eldest brother knew from abroad. Lan Yan suddenly felt bashful. She helped Su Yi’an up and greeted Old Man Su politely: “Dad.”
“Mmh…” The word made Old Man Su’s heart bloom with joy. He couldn’t hide the smile in his eyes, even though he knew he shouldn’t look too happy right now. But such a beautiful daughter-in-law calling him “Dad”—who could resist? He knew the daughter-in-law was secured, and so was his granddaughter.
It would be best to have two children in three years; he could hold one in each hand. No wonder his scoundrel daughter fell for her; looking at her, she was miles better than any of the blind dates he had introduced before.
Eldest Brother Lan, however, looked complicated. He had suddenly become a generation younger than his own friend. No one would be happy about that.
“Brother, please help entertain Dad. I’ll take her to the room to apply medicine first,” Lan Yan said, leading Su Yi’an away from the hall.
The bramble switch was thin but flexible; being hit by one was excruciating. The Alpha, who usually had such high endurance, had cried out and collapsed in front of everyone, so one could imagine the pain. She knew her brothers wouldn’t hold back, especially Lan Yu. She didn’t know how many times the Alpha had been whipped; she could barely stand, yet she was trying not to lean her full weight on Lan Yan. Lan Yan was heartbroken.
At this moment, she couldn’t even remember the deception; rather, the matter was settled in her mind. Especially with the mention of a child—she could see Old Man Su loved children, and he likely didn’t know about the Alpha’s gland issues yet. Honestly, aside from hiding her identity, the Alpha hadn’t really done anything to wrong her.
Once Lan Yan left, the atmosphere became awkward. Finally, Old Man Su broke the ice: “Look, the couple’s relationship is quite good. Since it wasn’t marriage fraud, let’s just let them be. I heard they haven’t had a wedding yet; why don’t we discuss the wedding arrangements?”
That unfilial girl—telling me it was marriage fraud. I knew I was being used. To chase his wife, she’d even lie to her own father and use a “self-harm” tactic; he found it embarrassing. According to local customs, if an elder passes away, one must either marry within the year for good luck or observe mourning for three years before marrying. An’an and his daughter-in-law already had their certificate; they just needed the ceremony. It was best to do it this year.
Given how clingy his daughter was, he was afraid the granddaughter would be walking before they had a wedding, which would be unfair to the daughter-in-law. The Su family was already in the wrong; they couldn’t mistreat her now.
The Lan brothers had seen Lan Yan’s attitude and realized the matter was over. To keep hounding them would make them the heartless parents who tear lovers apart. The younger brothers remained silent and somber, but the eldest brother was more accommodating. He ordered wine and food and invited Old Man Su to the table, joking, “Old Brother Su is right. Wait, I suppose I can’t call you ‘Old Brother Su’ anymore…”
After two drinks, Old Man Su’s face was flushed. He waved his hand casually. “Hah! We’ll each call each other what we want. Little Brother Lan is still my good brother…” The hall suddenly became much more lively.
In the bedroom, however, the two were exceptionally quiet. Medicine had been brought by a servant, but the location of Su Yi’an’s injury was… awkward. She was shy; after all, “that” was “that,” but applying medicine in that spot was a different matter.
Especially since it had been whipped; it must look hideous now, and she didn’t want her Sister to see. Su Yi’an’s mouth became stubborn again, even as she broke into a cold sweat from the pain. “Sister, it doesn’t hurt at all. I’m already happy you’ve forgiven me. I’ll just rest; no need for medicine.”
The bramble whip really hurt; she almost doubted she was Old Man Su’s biological child. She finally understood why her mother, who was usually glued to her father, hadn’t come. If her mom were here, she wouldn’t be in this much pain—or at least, she wouldn’t have been whipped.
Lan Yan wasn’t feeling very natural either. Consequently, time ticked by without any progress on the medicine. Mainly, Su Yi’an was holding onto her trousers, looking as if she’d rather die than take them off. Finally, Lan Yan’s face hardened, and she spoke firmly: “Rabbit, medicine.”
Her face was white with pain, yet she was still acting tough? Even if it was embarrassing, Lan Yan didn’t want to watch her Alpha suffer. Su Yi’an was stunned for a moment, then finally succumbed with a red face.
Sister finally wasn’t calling her “Miss Su” coldly anymore. “Rabbit”—what a beautiful name. She couldn’t understand why she had resisted the nickname at first; it was clearly her Sister’s term of endearment. Only when Sister stopped using it did she realize how painful it was.
As the cool medicine touched the wound, it stung sharply, but Su Yi’an barely felt it now. Her face grew redder and redder, her voice soft: “Sister, could you… call me Rabbit again?” She wanted it so much, but her voice was tentative, almost pleading, making it impossible to refuse.
Lan Yan’s hand paused. Suddenly, she felt that perhaps she had been too conflicted and too harsh, giving the Alpha the cold shoulder for so long that now she was even careful about asking for a nickname—as if they were back to before they were official. Perhaps Rabbit hiding her identity really was just because she loved her too much.
Looking at the long, thin, raw wound, Lan Yan’s heart softened completely. She leaned in close. “Rabbit, does it hurt?”
The warm breath entered Su Yi’an’s ear, and the fragrant scent filled her nose. She felt like she was floating. Actually, it would be even better if Sister kissed her—better than any medicine—but since she’d only just been forgiven, she didn’t dare be too bold.
Su Yi’an was about to say it was nothing when she heard her Sister’s enchanting voice in her ear again: “If it hurts, I’ll blow on it.”
