The Black Lotus Omega Always Wraps His Tail Around Me - Chapter 31
Bai Li stood at the doorway. She had seen far more explicit scenes than this one.
The way the two of them stared at each other now looked, in her eyes, like children playing house.
Her expression showed no embarrassment, because the awkward one wasn’t her.
She patiently waited for the two to separate before stepping inside.
A flicker of irritation flashed across Fu Suihe’s face, but she quickly hid it. With a polite smile, she asked, “Miss Bai, have you eaten? Would you like to join us?”
Although her words were welcoming, there was barely any food left on the table.
Bai Li remembered the last time Fu Suihe had tampered with the dishes. Her eyes paused briefly on the plates, then shifted away.
“No need,” Bai Li replied. “Third Miss, is there anything you need my help with recently?”
Her question came so abruptly that Ji Yanwan didn’t respond right away.
Bai Li didn’t press her. She simply added, “If there’s nothing, I’ll head upstairs. You don’t need to call me for meals in the future.”
After she finished speaking, she looked at Fu Suihe and happened to meet her eyes.
Fu Suihe was still smiling, though her expression looked slightly stiff.
Bai Li had seen too many of these insincere business smiles. She scoffed quietly and turned her eyes away.
As her gaze left, the last bit of Fu Suihe’s forced smile disappeared. In that brief moment, she felt exposed, like Bai Li had seen right through her.
It confirmed what she had already suspected. Anyone sent by Ji Mingtao was not easy to handle.
Still unaware of the tension, Ji Yanwan finally caught on and asked nervously, “Actually, yeah. What happened to that guy I hit with the glass?”
That was something Bai Li hadn’t expected. She glanced at Ji Yanwan, who still looked like she was floating in romance, and said flatly, “Buried.”
“What?” Ji Yanwan froze. “Really? You buried him?”
Bai Li looked mildly annoyed. “Of course not.”
Fu Suihe stayed silent while the two exchanged what she saw as pointless chatter.
She remained seated on Ji Yanwan’s lap and gently reached for her hand.
Feeling the warmth in her palm, Ji Yanwan laced their fingers together.
She looked up and asked, “Sister Bai Li, do you know anyone in the entertainment industry?”
“It’s just that lately, I’ve gotten really into it and kind of want to try something. You know, just to feel it out…”
“I do,” Bai Li interrupted. “I’ll make arrangements for you tomorrow.”
Her answer came without hesitation, which made Ji Yanwan’s cautious approach feel completely unnecessary.
Bai Li added, “Third Miss, I work for Second Miss. If you don’t mind, you can call me Sister too. In the future, if you need anything, just tell me directly. Don’t beat around the bush. As long as Second Miss agrees, I’ll handle whatever you ask.”
Her tone was calm and flat.
But Ji Yanwan was completely swept away. This wasn’t just a sister. This was a golden cheat code in real life.
Bai Li had no idea Ji Yanwan’s thoughts had drifted. She was simply exhausted.
While everyone else had been falling in love last night, she had actually been busy “burying the body.”
Cheng Qi’s joke had landed right on Ji Mingtao’s biggest nerve. Since last night, Ji Mingtao had been aggressively targeting Cheng family stocks.
By now, the sobered Cheng Qi was probably scrambling to survive.
As for Director A-Xiao, the one who got hit, he had spent the entire night on the phone. Gossip bloggers had already pushed the story to the top of trending searches.
Just thinking about it made Bai Li feel even more tired. She sighed and rubbed her forehead.
Noticing how drained she looked, Fu Suihe offered kindly, “Would you like me to make you a bowl of calming soup?”
Although the offer was sincere, Bai Li didn’t dare accept.
She shook her head. “No, thank you, Miss Fu. I appreciate the thought.”
She glanced at Ji Yanwan, who looked healthy and glowing after the meal, and quietly let out a breath of relief.
Fu Suihe had definitely added something to the food, but the dosage didn’t seem to be too strong.
At least Ji Yanwan hadn’t been poisoned, so the situation wasn’t out of control.
After declining the offer, Bai Li asked, “Is there anything else, Third Miss?”
Ji Yanwan shook her head.
“Alright then. I’m going to rest.”
With that, Bai Li headed straight to the elevator.
The living room was once again just the two of them.
Ji Yanwan was still caught up in how cool Bai Li had been and hadn’t noticed the darkening expression on Fu Suihe’s face.
As the elevator doors closed, the last bit of Fu Suihe’s smile vanished.
Bai Li had refused to eat. That could only mean she was beginning to suspect what had happened last time.
“Are you upset?” Ji Yanwan asked, noticing the crease in her brow.
Fu Suihe was momentarily stunned, then quickly replied, “No, of course not.”
She smiled and said softly, “Maybe I’m just a little bored from staying at home.”
Ji Yanwan saw her smile and nodded. Suddenly, she tugged her hand and pulled her up. “Come on. Let’s go out.”
Ten minutes later, the car stopped in front of a shopping mall.
As they returned to the familiar place, memories of the last visit flooded back, making Ji Yanwan’s ears warm.
But this time was different. Their feelings had changed.
Ji Yanwan took Fu Suihe’s hand and said, “Last time I wanted to take you shopping for clothes, but… well, things happened. This time, I’ll make sure you can pick out whatever you like.”
She had already thought about this the last time. Most of Fu Suihe’s outfits were overly elegant, sometimes uncomfortably tight.
They clung to every curve like they were made to show off, and Ji Yanwan found it a little overwhelming.
Part of her wanted to repay Fu Suihe for cooking for her. But another part of her genuinely felt sorry for her.
So, she took her hand and started seriously browsing through clothes.
This mall had a wide selection of women’s fashion. Many of the new arrivals caught Ji Yanwan’s eye.
She had gotten tired of the stiff business suits that filled her wardrobe. She was only in her twenties. She could wear anything she wanted.
With that thought, Ji Yanwan started picking out clothes and trying on one outfit after another.
But all the clothes were chosen for Fu Suihe.
The dress she had been wearing had been tailored exactly to her size. The tight-fitting fabric showed off her figure beautifully, but the cost was that she couldn’t eat a proper meal.
So during lunch, Fu Suihe had barely taken a few bites. Her stomach was still perfectly flat.
Ji Yanwan thought back to shopping trips with her college roommates. They would always wear loose sportswear so they could eat as much as they liked. Stretchy waistbands would hide any sign of a food belly.
After picking out a bunch of clothes, Ji Yanwan stuffed them all into Fu Suihe’s arms and urged her toward the fitting room. Then she turned back to continue browsing.
She was holding a green dress and checking the size when the curtain of the fitting room was pulled open. Fu Suihe stepped out.
Ji Yanwan froze for a few seconds before her brain caught up.
Fu Suihe was now wearing a light lilac tracksuit. The sleeves gathered gently at the cuffs, wrapping around her pale arms. The pants were long, reaching over the tops of her shoes and making her legs look endlessly long. She looked like one of those people whose body was just legs from the neck down.
The entire outfit was a single soft color, which could have seemed plain, but on Fu Suihe, it looked fresh and full of life.
Her long hair had been tied back into a high ponytail, with a few loose strands framing her face. She looked up with a playful smile, and her dimples appeared faintly.
“Does it look good?” Fu Suihe looked down at her pants, hesitating whether to roll them up a little.
Ji Yanwan nodded. “It looks great.”
“You could pair these with these shoes too. Miss Ji picked them out for you.” The sales assistant stepped forward with a pair of white sneakers and placed them in front of her.
The sneakers were plain white, with only a small logo on the side. There were no other colors or patterns.
Fu Suihe thanked her and began trying them on. The laces were already undone, so it was easy to slip her feet in.
The soles were soft. She stepped a few times and felt like she was walking on clouds.
She looked at her reflection in the mirror and felt a strange moment of unfamiliarity.
Since returning to the Fu family at age eleven, she hadn’t worn anything this casual.
Every dress she owned had been tailored to her exact measurements, with no margin for error. She would put them on on an empty stomach and wear them through the day without eating much at all. Even her pajamas were fitted.
The loose, comfortable tracksuit now hid all the curves of her figure, along with her stomach. In the mirror, all she could see was the relaxed silhouette of the outfit.
That meant even if she gave in and had an extra piece of cake, no one would notice.
Fu Suihe’s eyes lit up. She felt a little amazed. She turned side to side and noticed the soft fabric moving slightly behind her, like a breeze brushing against her skin.
After years of being bound by the suffocating rules of “beauty,” this was the first time Fu Suihe realized clothing didn’t have to feel like anything at all.
Ji Yanwan watched her reaction with satisfaction. Fu Suihe had the perfect figure for a clothes model. Her pale skin practically glowed under light colors like this.
“Do you like it?” Ji Yanwan asked softly.
“I do,” Fu Suihe answered honestly.
“Great, then we’ll take this one.” Ji Yanwan handed her another set. “Try this next.”
It was a school-uniform inspired outfit. A crisp white shirt paired with a pink pleated skirt, revealing Fu Suihe’s slender, fair legs.
Every time Fu Suihe’s eyes lit up with interest, Ji Yanwan bought the outfit without hesitation.
One set after another, it became hard to stop.
Ji Yanwan felt like she was playing dress-up, like when she was a kid. Except this time, the model fit every outfit perfectly.
They kept going until both of them were tired. Ji Yanwan flopped onto a couch and watched as the sales assistant, still smiling professionally, neatly packed all the clothes into bags.
So this is what it feels like to have money.
It felt amazing.
Ji Yanwan shifted slightly and noticed Fu Suihe had changed back into the tracksuit at some point. She was adjusting the fit in front of a mirror.
Ji Yanwan suddenly asked, “Are you hungry?”
Fu Suihe, still swaying slightly to test how the outfit moved, was startled. She turned around awkwardly. Her eyes were still bright, and the smile hadn’t completely faded from her face. She stared at Ji Yanwan, unsure how to respond.
Ji Yanwan stood up and walked over. “I’m hungry. Want to go eat?”
Fu Suihe had been about to refuse, but the hunger in her stomach reminded her not to be stubborn. She nodded. “I’ll go change first.”
“Don’t.” Ji Yanwan grabbed her wrist and gently pulled her back. “Just wear this. It looks good.”
“But…” Fu Suihe looked down at the tracksuit. It was comfortable, sure, but didn’t feel formal enough for going out to eat.
“No buts. How are you supposed to eat in those tight dresses? Can you even eat enough?”
Fu Suihe pressed her lips together and shook her head.
Her honesty made Ji Yanwan laugh. She patted her on the head. “Exactly. And it’s Thursday. Let’s go crazy today.”
Fu Suihe, still unsure what was going on, followed Ji Yanwan out of the store. The loose pants made her steps wider, and her ponytail bounced behind her. As she walked, she started wondering just how they were going to “go crazy.”
Once outside the mall, Ji Yanwan sent the staff to the car with the bags, then pulled Fu Suihe down to the basement level.
She had a clear goal in mind.
“Welcome to KFC. May I take your order?”
All the staff shouted in unison as they entered the store.
Fu Suihe shrank behind Ji Yanwan. Ji Yanwan patted her arm reassuringly. “Come on, say it with me. Say it loud.”
“Three Thursday Crazy Deals, please!”
That evening, Bai Li finally woke up.
She sat up and looked at the two red dots moving toward home on the location tracker app.
She let out a quiet sigh.
After sitting in silence for a few more seconds, she finally got up.
As she came downstairs, she happened to run into the two people returning home.
Ji Yanwan walked in holding a brown paper bag, looking a little excited.
“Sis, you’re awake. Want to eat something with us?”
Bai Li had been about to refuse, but seeing that the bag was in Ji Yanwan’s hands, she relaxed her guard and nodded.
As soon as the bag was opened, the rich smell of fast food rushed out.
Only then did Bai Li realize she was actually a bit hungry.
Ji Yanwan, clearly familiar with this process, quickly sorted everything out and fairly divided the portions.
Fu Suihe, who usually only ate light salads, looked at the greasy fries and burger in front of her and frowned slightly.
But Ji Yanwan was eating with great enthusiasm. She hadn’t expected to find this food in this world at all. After the first bite, the familiar taste almost brought tears to her eyes.
She took another bite of her burger, then turned on the TV and found a variety show.
Within just five minutes, her eyes were completely locked on the screen.
Bai Li, used to the constant tension and scheming of the business world, found herself a little out of place now playing house like this.
She glanced at Ji Yanwan, who was happily eating, then cautiously picked up her burger and took a small bite.
It actually tasted pretty good.
Bai Li followed her gaze to the screen, watching celebrities run around while exaggerated laughter echoed from the speakers.
The feeling of being relaxed like this wasn’t so bad after all.
The only one who couldn’t adapt was Fu Suihe.
She looked at Ji Yanwan and Bai Li both staring at the screen like kids and couldn’t quite believe it. She poked the burger bun in front of her and still didn’t dare take a bite.
This kind of food had been blacklisted from her diet ever since she entered the industry.
Ji Yanwan, already halfway through her burger, noticed her hesitation and immediately understood what was going through her mind.
After swallowing her food, she said,
“I’ll teach you a trick. That way you don’t have to be afraid of gaining weight.”
Fu Suihe looked up at her, clearly confused.
Ji Yanwan stood up, took another bite of her burger, and suddenly spun to the left.
After she stopped, she said,
“You eat like this. Spin to the left while eating. You’ll get so thin.”
Fu Suihe blinked in disbelief.
Seeing her expression, Ji Yanwan lifted her burger and explained,
“Look, this bun is made of wheat. Wheat isn’t fattening. The tomato and lettuce are zero-calorie vegetables. That’s a calorie deficit. The patty is protein. It gives you energy.”
“Then, if you spin left while eating, you’re burning fat while getting energy. You’ll lose so much weight.”
Bai Li, just starting her second bite, couldn’t help but laugh.
Ji Yanwan grinned and said,
“See? Even Sister Bai Li agrees. Why don’t you just try a bite?”
Fu Suihe looked at the burger Ji Yanwan claimed could make you skinny and still couldn’t bring herself to eat it.
Seeing her struggle, Ji Yanwan didn’t push her. After all, Fu Suihe was a public figure, and her concerns were understandable.
She pulled out her phone and said,
“I’ll order something else for you. How about a salad?”
After dinner, it was already getting late.
Ji Yanwan had hit her daily activity goals. She took a comfortable bath and was getting ready for bed when she bumped into someone in the hallway.
Or rather, two people.
Fu Suihe had finished her shower and was dressed in sleepwear, her hair still dripping water.
Bai Li was dressed in workout clothes with her ponytail tied high. Clearly, she was getting ready to go out.
Ji Yanwan blinked in confusion.
“Where are you going?”
“Running,” Bai Li answered.
Ji Yanwan looked outside. The sky was completely dark.
“At this hour? That’s kind of dangerous, isn’t it?”
Bai Li chuckled softly.
“If I don’t stay fit, I won’t have the strength to bury people.”
It sounded like a joke, but Ji Yanwan remembered the moment in the break room when Bai Li had knocked Cheng Qi out with a quick hand strike. She didn’t doubt Bai Li’s words at all.
She stepped aside to let her pass.
Bai Li walked off, but Fu Suihe stayed leaning against the door frame.
Seeing the water still dripping from her hair, Ji Yanwan frowned.
“Why didn’t you dry your hair?”
“I don’t know how,” Fu Suihe replied confidently.
“I want you to help me.”
Ji Yanwan was amused by her straight-faced request.
“You just want me to dry your hair?”
Fu Suihe blinked at her, then pulled a small, square packet from her pocket and held it delicately between her fingers.
“My heat cycle isn’t over yet.”
Her voice was soft.
“I might need to trouble my alpha to work a bit harder.”
Her expression was completely serious, even though she was holding a finger cot between her fingertips.
Of course Ji Yanwan’s heart stirred. She stepped forward and lifted Fu Suihe into her arms.
On the large black bed, their bodies were intertwined.
This was already their third time in just two days. The two of them were perfectly matched in this kind of intimacy.
As Ji Yanwan bit down on Fu Suihe’s gland to mark her again, her own gland was suddenly bitten as well.
She felt a strange sensation at her neck. It faded quickly, and she thought it was just a playful Omega habit. She bit a little harder into Fu Suihe’s gland, letting her pheromones pour in.
Fu Suihe, whose eyes had been dazed, suddenly became alert.
She looked at Ji Yanwan’s gland, where she had just planted a parasite.
The slight bump quickly smoothed out again as if nothing had happened.
To be sure, Fu Suihe kissed the same spot again.
The parasite sleeping inside her seemed to sense the presence of another.
The surge of sensation that followed was even stronger.
