The Black Lotus Omega Always Wraps His Tail Around Me - Chapter 30
The room was filled with the scent of citrus, which faded slightly as the door opened and closed.
Bai Li stood awkwardly at the entrance, keeping her eyes lowered and trying not to look forward.
“What is it?” The woman’s voice was low, slightly raspy, with a playful edge. She sounded like she was in a very good mood.
Bai Li kept her head down as she spoke. “Before you woke up, Miss Fu first went to speak with Zhao Mumu. They ended up sitting at the same table. After the meal, she went to chat with a few directors.”
“But it seemed like those directors were avoiding her. She didn’t look very happy afterward.”
“Later during the banquet, she went out onto the balcony to meet a director named A-Xiao. I’m not sure if there was some kind of disagreement between them, but then…”
Bai Li waited for a response, but the room remained silent.
She hesitated for a long moment, then nervously lifted her eyes.
Ji Mingtao’s shirt was half unbuttoned, revealing skin covered with faint and deep red marks. The woman who was usually proud and distant was now gently tucking the loose strands of hair behind the forehead of the person sleeping beside her. Her touch was soft, almost reverent, like she was handling a rare treasure. Her eyes were filled with so much affection it was almost spilling over.
Bai Li, who had grown used to Ji Mingtao’s cold and ruthless demeanor, stood stunned by this sudden tenderness.
The sleeping person was almost completely covered by Ji Mingtao’s arms, with only a small part of her earlobe showing.
As if sensing Bai Li’s gaze, Ji Mingtao let the hair she had just tucked aside fall back down, covering the ear again.
After fixing the hair, she raised an eyebrow and asked, “And then?”
Seeing her protective actions, Bai Li lowered her head and answered quietly, “Then Third Miss smashed a glass over his head.”
Ji Mingtao replied flatly, “So Fu Suihe still wants to enter the entertainment industry.”
Bai Li nodded. “That seems to be the case. At Zhao Mumu’s table, there were all editors. One of them was quite well known, a teacher named He.”
“Should we interfere?” she asked.
“No need,” Ji Mingtao said with a cold smile. “If she wants in, let her go. While we’re at it, send Awan into the industry too and let her get some experience.”
Bai Li was caught off guard. “Ah?”
Her voice was a bit too loud. The person sleeping beside Ji Mingtao stirred slightly and made a faint sound.
Ji Mingtao quickly reached out and pulled her close again, patting her gently until she fell back asleep.
When she looked up again, her expression had darkened. “Bai Li, you were too loud.”
Bai Li quickly lowered her voice and apologized.
She had grown up with Ji Mingtao and knew her personality better than anyone.
To the outside world, Ji Mingtao was like shattered porcelain. Every shard sharp enough to cut.
But with Ji Hesong, she became soft, like a ripe peach.
Bai Li had entered the Ji family with Ji Mingtao and had watched the two of them walk this long road together.
Back when Ji Mingtao first returned to the Ji family, the elders were strict and unkind. It was Ji Hesong who stood up to protect her. And that protection had lasted for twenty years.
Bai Li had witnessed Ji Mingtao fall, slowly and completely, into the warmth that was Ji Hesong’s spring.
She once thought that once Ji Mingtao regained her status, she would no longer need her older sister’s protection. What she never expected was that Ji Mingtao’s obsession ran deeper than anyone imagined.
She should have seen it coming.
The way Ji Mingtao looked at Ji Hesong was not sisterly at all.
After all, no younger sister would break into her older sister’s room on the night of her adulthood and use her alpha instincts to force herself onto a newly awakened omega.
“Bai Li.”
Ji Mingtao’s voice was cold. “What are you thinking?”
Bai Li blinked, caught off guard, then answered truthfully, “I was thinking about you and President Ji. About your future.”
“You don’t need to think about it.” Ji Mingtao smiled softly, but her eyes remained cold. “Anyone who tries to come between us, anyone who gets in our way, will face the same ending.”
“What do you think, Bai Li?”
Bai Li knew exactly how difficult their path had been. She also knew how much harder it would be in the future.
But she simply bowed her head and said, “I’ll keep clearing the way for the both of you. I always have, and I always will.”
That response eased Ji Mingtao’s mood. “Good girl, Bai Li.”
“Take care of Ji Yanwan. She really cares about Fu Suihe right now. Just help her out, make some connections. After all, she only has this one little sister left in the Ji family.”
“I want my sister to be happy.” As Ji Mingtao spoke, her eyes dropped slightly. Her voice carried a warmth even she didn’t seem to realize. “If she’s happy, then I’m happy.”
Bai Li nodded to everything, and as quietly as she had come, she gently closed the door behind her on her way out.
She had no idea where Ji Yanwan and Fu Suihe had gone.
Standing by the window, Bai Li lit a cigarette. The tracking app on her phone showed that both of them had already returned home.
She leaned against the window, watching the sky that had gone completely dark. Her feelings were hard to sort through.
Back at home, the two stood in the dark living room.
Fu Suihe wasted no time. She leaned in and kissed her.
In the darkness, every sense was heightened.
All Ji Yanwan could feel was the warmth in her arms. The soft, fluffy sensation of Fu Suihe brushing against her cheek.
Suddenly, she remembered that moment on the balcony. Those clear, bright eyes, and the warmth of her lips on her fingertip.
The scent of orchid slowly filled the air. Just like Fu Suihe said, the temporary mark on her neck had already faded.
Now, deep in her heat, Fu Suihe was burning with fever, nuzzling into Ji Yanwan again and again.
That kiss left Ji Yanwan weak. She wrapped her arms around the girl and fell back onto the sofa.
The blackout curtains on the first floor were drawn tightly, leaving no trace of moonlight.
The night felt like a deep ocean. Fu Suihe held onto her and kept sinking deeper.
Her kisses fell like waves. Ji Yanwan, lying back, was completely submerged.
As Ji Yanwan felt the warmth of her movements, something quiet but intense stirred inside her heart.
All of Ji Yanwan’s firsts belonged to Fu Suihe.
Her first kiss, her first mark, her first time having someone blow on an injured fingertip like a child. Her first time giving herself so completely, so openly, to someone else.
Ji Yanwan held the woman in her arms and gently bit down on the spot overflowing with orchid-scented pheromones.
Her alpha pheromones poured in, along with something even deeper—her heart.
When the permanent mark was made, Omegas would often experience a brief moment of disorientation.
Fu Suihe stared blankly at the blinding white light that broke through the endless darkness above her. It was so bright it forced tears from her eyes.
She froze, her body going still, and just looked up at that sharp, piercing white.
She had finally received a permanent mark. No more would she suffer through long, feverish heat cycles. No more risks of accidentally revealing her tail.
Fu Suihe could feel Ji Yanwan’s inexperience. That surprised her.
After spending the last few days together, Fu Suihe had come to believe Ji Yanwan wasn’t nearly as wild as the rumors claimed. Whether it was her kissing or her marking technique, both could only be described as unpracticed and shy.
The permanent mark on her neck had sealed, and the tide inside her reached its peak.
Fu Suihe held Ji Yanwan tightly.
Now that she had the permanent mark, the next step was to win Ji Yanwan’s heart.
By the time Ji Yanwan woke up the next day, it was already afternoon.
She instinctively reached out beside her, but once again found nothing.
Her groggy mind cleared in an instant. She sat up, looking around the bedroom covered in red wedding decorations, and down at the sparkling diamond ring on her left ring finger.
A subtle warmth spread through her chest.
After washing up and heading downstairs, she found several delicate dishes already arranged on the dining table.
The whole living room was filled with the delicious aroma of food.
In the kitchen, soup was still simmering. The bubbling sound mingled with the scent rising from the pot.
Ji Yanwan leaned against the doorway, quietly watching the figure working inside.
Fu Suihe was wearing the same cozy loungewear as her. Her long hair was tied up in a loose bun, and on her slender fingers was a matching ring identical to Ji Yanwan’s.
Bathed in steam and soft light, Fu Suihe’s delicate features looked almost unreal.
Ji Yanwan didn’t know how long she had been staring.
By the time she came to her senses, Fu Suihe was already standing in front of her, tiptoeing to plant a kiss on her lips.
“Good morning,” Fu Suihe said with a bright smile. Her eyes seemed to bloom with the brilliance of spring flowers.
Ji Yanwan’s ears quietly turned red.
She stammered back, “Good morning.”
“Go wash your hands and come eat,” Fu Suihe said, placing a bowl on the table. She turned back toward the kitchen. “There’s still a pot of soup. Almost done.”
Ji Yanwan was still stuck in the moment of that kiss. In a daze, she wandered off to the bathroom.
Looking at her blushing reflection in the mirror, she touched the spot where Fu Suihe’s lips had landed.
It felt warm and soft.
Her face in the mirror turned even redder.
By the time Ji Yanwan came out, Fu Suihe had already set all the dishes on the table.
The meal looked perfect in every way, as if conjured with magic. Color, aroma, and flavor were all exactly right.
Ji Yanwan’s stomach growled loudly in agreement. She let out a long sigh and praised her, “It smells amazing. I’m starving!”
“Come eat,” Fu Suihe said, serving a bowl of soup. “I’m starving too.”
Ji Yanwan’s eyes fell to Fu Suihe’s hands and saw a few thin cuts on her fingers.
“Did you get hurt again?” Ji Yanwan took the bowl from her and gently held her hand. “Does it hurt?”
The blood had already been cleaned away, but the skin was still slightly split. The edges of the cuts were pale, and the skin around them a little raw.
“Did it bleed a lot?” Ji Yanwan asked, feeling concerned. “Don’t cook anymore. I’ll hire a housekeeper.”
Fu Suihe immediately replied, “No way!”
Her voice came out a bit too fast, a little too loud.
Ji Yanwan blinked in confusion, tilting her head at her.
Realizing she had overreacted, Fu Suihe cleared her throat and said softly, “I want to cook for you.”
“Because… cooking for someone you love is a really happy thing to do.”
Her second sentence was much quieter than the first, her voice soft and shy, with the kind of girlish embarrassment that made Ji Yanwan’s heart melt.
Ji Yanwan’s ears grew even warmer.
“Alright!” Fu Suihe held her hand and pulled her to sit down. “Try it and tell me if it’s good. If you like it, then making it was worth it.”
Ji Yanwan picked up her chopsticks and started eating seriously.
In her bowl was an old hen soup, clearly simmered for hours. The broth was rich and golden.
The chicken was full of flavor. With just a light poke from the chopsticks, it easily fell off the bone.
The taste matched the appearance perfectly. From the first bite, Ji Yanwan’s appetite was awakened. The meat was tender without being mushy, falling off the bone but still juicy.
She swallowed and praised sincerely, “It’s delicious!”
Seeing her excited expression, Fu Suihe simply nodded, clearly satisfied.
Ji Yanwan had been starving, and now her hunger was in full force.
Especially with a beautiful woman sitting across from her, constantly adding dishes and refilling her soup.
Before long, the food on the table was almost completely gone.
Ji Yanwan set down her bowl and looked at the smiling woman across from her. She frowned slightly and asked, “Why didn’t you eat anything?”
Fu Suihe paused as she was refilling the soup and smiled. “Because I already ate. Watching you enjoy it makes me even happier than eating it myself.”
Ji Yanwan didn’t quite understand. She glanced at Fu Suihe’s bowl, which still held the dishes she had served her earlier. They had barely been touched.
Then she looked down at her own bowl, which was now full again after being topped up.
Seeing her hesitate, Fu Suihe looked a little flustered but quickly composed herself.
She rested her chin in her hand and spoke softly. “Actually, there’s something I want to tell you.”
Ji Yanwan looked up, waiting for her to continue.
“I want to go back to working in the entertainment industry.” Fu Suihe’s voice was light, and her tone cautious. “Would you… be okay with that?”
Ji Yanwan suddenly remembered. Fu Suihe still had eighty million in debt.
And on stage, Fu Suihe had always been mesmerizing. Her beauty and acting talent deserved to be seen in bigger, better places. Having someone like her stay home and cook almost felt like a waste of brilliance.
Ji Yanwan didn’t hesitate. “Of course. Why wouldn’t I be okay with it?”
Hearing that, Fu Suihe lit up instantly. “Really?”
“Really.” Ji Yanwan nodded, then added, as if she had just remembered something, “And don’t worry too much about that eighty million. I’ll help you pay it back.”
“I know you didn’t have it easy at your uncle’s place, but now that we’re engaged, you can let all that go.”
“You’re a whole, independent person. You can do whatever you want. You don’t need my permission for that.”
She paused for a second, then added, “But if you ever run into trouble, that’s when you should tell me. I’ll help you get through it.”
Her voice was sincere and firm.
For a moment, Fu Suihe didn’t know how to respond.
She put down her chopsticks, stood up, walked around the table, and wrapped her arms around Ji Yanwan’s neck.
Ji Yanwan leaned back slightly to let her settle down on her lap. She looked at the distinct bite mark on Fu Suihe’s neck, then into those shimmering peach blossom eyes.
Fu Suihe lowered her head and kissed her again, whispering softly, “Thank you.”
They sat facing each other, eyes locked, seeing no one else in the world.
Just then, Bai Li opened the door and walked in.
And this was exactly the scene she walked into.
