- Chapter 57.3 - Post-Coital Payment, Suck a Little Harder
Cang Lan lay back on the bed, her head bumping against the pillow a few times. She smiled. “I’ve made my lady worry. Why is my tolerance so poor? One cup made me sleep for three days and three nights?”
Yu Xuanji gave a helpless smile and said, “You drank much more than one cup. I remember you sneaking several more pours into your glass when we weren’t looking. I thought plum wine was fruit wine and wouldn’t be an issue, so I let you have a few more. Who knew you’d start acting like a drunkard after drinking, even hitting your head against a pillar? Feel your forehead; is there still a bump?”
Cang Lan touched it and hissed in pain. “Sure enough, there really is a bump.”
Yu Xuanji smiled. “If your tolerance is poor, drink less. No matter how good it is, don’t overindulge. Senior Ming Huang sent another unopened jar of plum wine to our house. I have already buried it.”
Hearing this, Cang Lan’s eyes lit up. She tested, “Where did my lady bury it?”
Yu Xuanji couldn’t help but laugh. “I won’t tell you. If I do, you’ll sneak it out and drink it when I’m not looking. Wouldn’t you then sleep for another few days and nights?”
Cang Lan was unhappy. “Fine, then hide the wine well. Don’t tell anyone, especially Huang Liu and the others. Huang Liu loves stealing wine the most. The plum wine under the winter jasmine tree in Old Phoenix’s courtyard—she’s the one who smelled it and told me.”
Yu Xuanji smiled. “So you drank a whole jar?”
Cang Lan shook her head. “Not quite. I wanted to bring some back for them to try, but I got drunk after just a little. I was even found by A-Xuan and thrown out the door. I was truly pitiful.”
Yu Xuanji pursed her lips, but Cang Lan grabbed her arm and shook it, saying, “My lady, don’t you agree? I’m both tragic and unlucky. Old Phoenix usually dotes on me; she surely would have let me drink it. It’s all A-Xuan’s fault; she is simply too annoying.”
“How about we brew wine ourselves?” Yu Xuanji said with a smile. “I learned some brewing techniques before. I can do white wine, grape wine, and I remember Ting Lan mentioned fried chicken with beer—I can brew beer too. You haven’t had it, have you?”
Cang Lan licked her lips greedily and shook her head vigorously. “No, never!”
Yu Xuanji smiled. “Good, then get dressed first. Later, we’ll call An Zhi and Ting Lan to help.”
Cang Lan slumped forward weakly, falling right into Yu Xuanji’s arms. She acted spoiled, saying, “My lady, I have no strength. I want my lady to help me dress.”
Yu Xuanji laughed helplessly. “Fine, I’ll help you dress. Shall we put on the bodice first?”
Cang Lan sat on the bed, wearing nothing at all, just sitting there quite openly.
Yu Xuanji pulled up the quilt covering her belly and chided, “Cover up. Aren’t you cold?”
Cang Lan took Yu Xuanji’s hand and pressed it against her, giggling. “My lady, feel. It’s warm; I’m not cold at all.”
Yu Xuanji’s fingertips curled. Her face showed mock anger, but in her heart, she wished she could touch more. But she knew that if she truly started, the wine brewing would be delayed for days.
Cang Lan licked her lower lip, intentionally biting it and rubbing slowly. She looked up at Yu Xuanji with a pure and innocent gaze, her voice light and suggestive. “Does my lady like it?”
Yu Xuanji pulled her hand back sharply, turned to grab the underwear she had made for Cang Lan, and left after dropping two words: “I don’t!”
Cang Lan twisted on the bed like a water snake. She stared intently at Yu Xuanji’s back and grumbled, “You say you don’t like it, yet you gripped so tight. Duplicitous woman. Your heart must be itching so much you want to swallow me whole, right?”
Yu Xuanji brought out two bodices, one pink and one green. She held them up in front of Cang Lan. “Which one do you like?”
Cang Lan hooked the strap of a bodice and pulled Yu Xuanji closer. With her slender fingers, she quickly untied Yu Xuanji’s belt and pushed aside her collar. Pointing at the snowy white bodice Yu Xuanji was currently wearing, she smiled and put her index finger, which had caught the scent, into her mouth, resting her chin on her thumb. “I want to wear the one on my lady.”
“…”
Yu Xuanji turned to leave but was caught around the waist by Cang Lan’s tail, which easily brought her onto the bed.
Cang Lan pressed over her, peeling away Yu Xuanji’s layers of clothing as easily as unwrapping a delicious treat from oil paper. She breathed heavily and said, “My lady was clearly seducing me just now; why are you saying ‘no’ now?”
Yu Xuanji curled up to hide in the quilt, but Cang Lan, like a slippery water snake, slid inside as well. She sat directly on Yu Xuanji’s thighs, propping her hands on either side of her head, and leaned in to nibble her chin.
The heavy breathing inside the bedding grew more urgent. Yu Xuanji struggled to hide, her toes pressing against the quilt, her instep stretching taut.
Cang Lan licked her lips. She didn’t bite Yu Xuanji’s mouth; at this moment, she knew her priorities. She just wanted to satisfy her mouth’s desire, to properly taste how the place that was the same as her own on Yu Xuanji felt.
Though she had tasted it many times, how could physical desire end with just a brief taste? she needed to savor it slowly with her lips and tongue.
An Zhi and Ting Lan were in the kitchen cooking. Ting Lan ladled out the stewed fish soup, and An Zhi took the bowl, preparing to take it to the bedroom for Yu Xuanji.
Just as she reached the mouth of the cave, she heard a series of intermittent, sweet moans from inside. Hearing this made her scalp tingle; the soup bowl in her hand almost fell.
An Zhi tiptoed away from the entrance. After returning noiselessly to the kitchen, she picked up the fish soup and sniffed it, inhaling the steam until it was gone.
Ting Lan saw her return and asked, “Why didn’t you deliver the soup? The master must be hungry.”
An Zhi almost laughed in anger. “Hungry? That dragon is currently eating her; what hunger? She’s likely long forgotten about being hungry.”
Ting Lan frowned. “Cang Lan is awake?”
An Zhi snorted coldly. “She’s awake. Doing this as soon as she wakes up—truly a lustful, lewd dragon!”
Ting Lan took a sip of the fish soup herself and said, “Be patient. There will be plenty more of this in the future. Who told them to be legal partners?”
An Zhi frowned. “What legal partners? They don’t even have a marriage certificate. At most, it’s a cohabitation relationship. Doing this every day will lead to kidney deficiency sooner or later!”
Putting the soup back in the pot and covering it, Ting Lan pushed An Zhi out the door, saying, “Enough, enough, stop being angry. If you keep cursing them and it actually happens, the master’s happiness for the rest of her life will be completely ruined.”
Hearing this, An Zhi felt her words had indeed been a bit heavy. She said a prayer in her heart, then realized she had been dead for so many years—what kind of prayer would count?
Leaving the kitchen door, they hadn’t even passed the bedroom yet when they heard the intermittent sounds of giggling from inside. They estimated that the deed was finished and they were now engaged in post-coital intimacy.
An Zhi could take no more and roared from outside, “I say, if they do this every day, why don’t they build a door for the cave!”
Ting Lan covered An Zhi’s mouth and dragged her away, whispering, “Will you die if you say a few words less!”
After her delicious meal, Cang Lan lay on Yu Xuanji’s chest, listening to her slow heartbeat. She touched her own chest and said, “My lady, your heart is beating so slowly. You were clearly so excited just now; why is it so slow? Could it be you didn’t reach your peak?”
Yu Xuanji had recently noticed that Cang Lan’s speech was becoming increasingly unreserved. She was direct and bold, saying things in front of outsiders without blushing.
Seeing Yu Xuanji’s lips weren’t closed but were instead gasping for air, Cang Lan leaned in to lick the moisture from the corner of her mouth. Her tongue rubbed back and forth against the seam of her lips, wanting to push inside but not quite daring.
Seeing Cang Lan as hungry as a baby looking for milk, Yu Xuanji smiled. “Do you still want to eat?”
Cang Lan looked at Yu Xuanji expectantly, shaking her head then nodding. Her voice was very coy, but her eyes overflowed with anticipation. “I do.”
Yu Xuanji smiled. She placed her fingers in Cang Lan’s mouth, gently stroking her sharp teeth from left to right. She said, “If you want to eat, then eat. But what you want to eat, I don’t have right now. I’m afraid you won’t be able to get it.”
Cang Lan nodded and followed up. She smacked her lips and said in surprise, “Eh? Why does my lady have no milk?”
Yu Xuanji curled her lips and explained, “Because there is no oxytocin in my body.”
Cang Lan tilted her head and asked, “What is that?”
At this, Yu Xuanji knew Cang Lan wouldn’t understand, so she chose to use simpler words: “Because I haven’t had a baby. After having a baby, there will be plenty. Does A-Lan really want to drink?”
Cang Lan nodded, being very honest and coy. “I do, very much.”
Yu Xuanji narrowed her eyes, rubbing her sharp teeth twice. She coaxed, “Then suck a little more. Maybe it will come soon?”
Cang Lan asked half-doubtingly, “Really?”
Yu Xuanji nodded. “I’m not entirely sure. Maybe. You can try; suck a little harder. What if it works?”
Cang Lan’s eyes lit up, and she truly did as Yu Xuanji said.
But in the end, she still didn’t get any milk—not even a drop.
Cang Lan stopped, nestled in Yu Xuanji’s arms, and mumbled, “My lady is a liar. You just wanted me to eat a bit longer.”
“You found me out.” Yu Xuanji stretched her neck, one arm around the Cang Lan nestled in her embrace. She looked down at her red lips. At this moment, she really wanted a lit cigarette in her hand to take a puff and slowly exhale.
She didn’t smoke and didn’t like the smell of smoke. If she were holding a glass of red wine right now, it would be even better.
Clearly, she was the one in pain, yet it was this bad dragon who was crying.
Yu Xuanji knew that every time Cang Lan bit her and caused pain, she would intentionally act pitiful, blinking hard to squeeze out tears and pretending to wail to get her sympathy.
Once she started offering soft comfort, Cang Lan would regain control instantly—not a single tear to be seen.
Yu Xuanji helplessly curled half her lip. She kissed the top of Cang Lan’s head and took a small box from the bedside table, placing it in Cang Lan’s hand.
Cang Lan’s eyelashes still had unshed tears. She blinked and asked, “My lady, what is this?”
Yu Xuanji smiled. “Open it and see.”
Cang Lan opened it and saw two small, bright red round beads. Taking them out, she saw they were a pair of ear studs.
Yu Xuanji said, “I made these by hand a few days ago. I originally thought of making them black, but then I remembered you always wear black, so red studs would be more eye-catching. I melted fresh blood and cinnabar together to make a pair for you.”
Cang Lan sharply caught the word “blood.” She hurriedly checked Yu Xuanji’s body, saying anxiously, “My lady hurt herself again! Where did you take the blood from? Has the wound healed? Let me see.”
Seeing Cang Lan’s frantic look, Yu Xuanji smiled. “It was just a prick on the fingertip; it didn’t hurt at all. I used some mystical arts to make these two studs. You wear one and I’ll wear one; our hearts will be connected from now on.”
Cang Lan was puzzled. “Is it truly so magical?”
Yu Xuanji nodded. “Truly.”
Cang Lan pinched a stud, preparing to help Yu Xuanji put it on. Suddenly, she thought of something. “My lady, I heard others say that the thing one party gives to another after they are finished is called… what was it… ‘post-coital payment’ (prostitution fee).”
Yu Xuanji’s smiling face suddenly cracked. She asked stiffly, “Who told you that?”
Cang Lan smiled, selling An Zhi out completely. “An Zhi said it! She also said we are just ‘fuck buddies’ right now because we don’t have a marriage certificate. No status, no name.”
The smile on Yu Xuanji’s lips gradually froze.
Cang Lan rubbed her chin against hers and asked affectionately, “My lady, what does ‘fuck buddy’ mean? An Zhi explained it unclearly; I didn’t understand what it meant.”
Yu Xuanji said, “We are not in a fuck-buddy relationship, and the ear stud I just gave you is not called ‘payment.’ As for the marriage certificate… Without a marriage certificate, we are a couple. You are my girlfriend, and I am your girlfriend. Do you understand now?”
Cang Lan asked in confusion, “Then why did An Zhi say that?”
Yu Xuanji pointed to her own temple and said, “Because there is something wrong here. Stay away from her in the future. If she tells you any more of that nonsense, come to me and I will punish her properly.”
Cang Lan buried herself in Yu Xuanji’s neck again and said with a smile, “Fine then. In the future, I will only listen to my lady. I won’t listen to or mind anyone else, especially An Zhi.”
The stud in her hand was warm to the touch. Looking at it closely, it actually emitted a faint red light from time to time.
Cang Lan found it very interesting. She sat on Yu Xuanji’s thighs, hugging her waist as she sat up. She flicked Yu Xuanji’s earlobe with one hand and said in surprise, “My lady has ear piercings!”
Yu Xuanji touched them and said, “These were done a long time ago. Only the right side. Help me put it on.”
Cang Lan pushed the stud through easily. After passing through the hole, the stud strangely merged with Yu Xuanji’s earlobe. She couldn’t help but be astonished. “My lady! The stud has grown into you!”
Yu Xuanji’s hand stroked Cang Lan’s soft, warm earlobe. She smiled. “Yes, I told you just now—these are a pair of magical studs. Once put on, they merge with the flesh and bone; you can never take them off again.”
Cang Lan marveled for a moment, then held a stud and pointed to her left ear. “My lady, I want to wear it too, but I don’t seem to have a hole.”
Yu Xuanji frowned. Before she could think of how to pierce Cang Lan’s ear, the other party suddenly grabbed the stud from her hand and thrust it directly into her left earlobe.
Yu Xuanji cried out in surprise, “A-Lan!”
The sharp stud quickly pierced Cang Lan’s earlobe and merged instantly, without a single drop of blood to be seen.
Cang Lan smiled. “My lady, I’ve done it.”
Yu Xuanji stroked the stud which was now closely connected to the earlobe and said with a frown, “I had a way to make it not hurt. Why did you just thrust it through?”
Afterward, Yu Xuanji slowly leaned in and touched Cang Lan’s earlobe with her lips. Seeing the earlobe was red, she pressed the back of her hand against it to cool it slightly. “Don’t be so reckless in the future. Although I know you have divine power, seeing an injury still makes my heart ache. Promise me, treat your body well. Don’t act wildly just because you are a divine dragon.”
Seeing Yu Xuanji speak so solemnly to her, Cang Lan softened her voice and said in a tender tone, “My lady, I understand. I won’t let you worry in the future. You too—don’t hurt yourself.”
After the stud was put on, Cang Lan felt her body was a bit different from before. She felt hot all over and began to pant continuously.
Cang Lan couldn’t help but ask curiously, “My lady, what is happening to me?”
Yu Xuanji drew a heart on Cang Lan’s chest with one hand and explained with a smile, “This is called the ‘Synesthesia Stud’; I came up with the name. Once worn, it merges with your bone and blood. The pain and pleasure of both people will be connected. Do you understand?”
Cang Lan looked pleasantly surprised as she covered her left ear. “This is truly a good thing!”
