Hearing Zhang Yang say this, Chu Jingtian had a helpless smile on his face, truly not knowing how to begin explaining.

As Chu Jingtian tried to continue, Zhang Yang immediately cut him off, forcing him to rest. “Wait a minute. I know you are about to spout some nonsense. Keep those words to yourself; I do not want to hear them.”

By noon, Chu Jingtian received reminders from the staff. He was officially off the clock and was told to go rest for the afternoon. When he tried to return to his post, he found his office door locked.

Back when he was married to Zhou Nian, he never knew what to do with himself. He would stay at home, cook, and slowly wait for Zhou Nian to return. That was how his days passed. Returning to the company, he felt that as long as he worked and let the time fade away there, he would not be affected by those emotions.

He did not expect that after going back to work, he would face the same issues. He worked hard, but his friends, seeing his effort, feared he would eventually break his health and sent him home to rest. In today’s society, most bosses oppress their employees; he never expected a boss who was also a friend to let him off so early.

Regardless, being able to walk around properly felt quite good for a normal person. While wandering the mall, Chu Jingtian did not know what to buy. After a large lap, he stopped in front of a men’s clothing store.

Seeing the store, a smile appeared in his eyes and he walked in quickly. Although the name at the entrance was a bit old-fashioned, the clothes inside were all high-end luxury brands. He walked in with a smile and began browsing. The name of the store reminded him of someone, and thinking of buying clothes for that person made him feel happy.

Just as he picked out a garment, someone next to him reached for the same piece. Looking to his side, he saw Zhou Nian.

Most importantly, Zhou Nian was holding a small, flirtatious man dressed in revealing clothing. The man in Zhou Nian’s arms also saw Chu Jingtian. Seeing Chu Jingtian’s androgynous face and determined eyes, he knew this was Zhou Nian’s “ex-wife.”

Since they both chose the same item, a competitive spark lit up the man’s eyes. “Waiter!”

“Can you come over and help us check out? I have my eye on this outfit. We will just swipe the card. We also want to top up an SVIP membership.”

The man in Zhou Nian’s arms spoke with a triumphant smile, and Zhou Nian held him with a similar expression. Seeing their provocative smiles, Chu Jingtian’s eyes turned cold. He did not know how to express his emotions.

Seeing them act this way, he did not even know how to start. He thought back to being with Zhou Nian. Luckily, nothing had ever happened between them; if it had, Chu Jingtian would surely find it disgusting now. He really did not know what they were thinking, appearing before him to do such sickening things.

“Why are you being so disgusting? It makes people uncomfortable. If you want to show off your affection, please do not do it in front of me.”

Chu Jingtian was not someone to be bullied easily. He looked at them with a polite smile.

Before the small man could speak, Zhou Nian could no longer contain himself. “What do you mean by that? Are you jealous of my little baby? If you cannot stand it, please do not…”

“Waiter, bill me directly. Also, I want to sign up for a lifetime membership at this store. Please process it for me.”

The clerk quickly walked to Chu Jingtian, picked up the items for him, and maintained a polite smile. The staff was naturally happy to hear that Chu Jingtian was taking everything. After wrapping the clothes, the clerk handed them to him. Chu Jingtian took them happily and looked at the two behind him with a touch of mockery.

Before Chu Jingtian could walk very far, the two ran in front of him and blocked his path with mocking expressions. Chu Jingtian looked at them with helplessness. Seeing them chase after him again, he felt only irritation.

“I have already told you very clearly: I bought this garment first. If you truly want it, you can make a reservation with the clerk. Do not ask me. Thank you.”

The person in Zhou Nian’s arms looked so wronged, acting as if they did not know what else to do but put on a pitiful expression. Chu Jingtian finally realized that a true “green tea” is terrifying; their words alone could kill someone.

“First of all, I told you that I also like this garment and I do not want to give it up. Most importantly, are we even close?”

It was laughable. They suddenly appeared in front of him, telling him to give them his clothes. Why should he give them the clothes he bought? Could they not buy their own? It was truly too ridiculous.
