After the pre-match trash-talking segment ended, the sports meet officially began.

“Hey, Yiyi, do you have any events?”

“I have a relay race,” You Cheche said, furrowing his brow. “Why does everyone have a relay race?”

“Right? There are five people in the relay. Brother Tang, A-Lian, Xiao Yuan, and I are all in it.”

“Who’s the last one?”

“The last one is our class sports representative, Wu Zhuohua.”

“Oh… where’s Xiaoyu? Tell him to come sit with me. Neither of us has any events, so we can keep each other company.”

“Oh, okay. Xiaoyu, come sit over here. This spot is empty, and since Cheche doesn’t have a program either, you two can buddy up.” Li Yuyu responded to the call and walked over.

“Xiaoyu, come here quickly! Hehehe, once you come over, you’re mine,” You Cheche joked playfully, teasing Li Yuyu.

Li Yuyu smiled, showing a rare moment of liveliness. “Che, I’m here.”

You Cheche looked surprised and pulled Li Yuyu into an arm-lock. “Yo, Xiaoyu, why are you so cheerful today?”

“I guess I’m just in a good mood today,” Li Yuyu said shyly.

Shen Yiyi watched from the side, shaking her head before going to find Song Chaolian.

“Wow… Xiaoyu, your skin is so good. How do you take care of it?”

“I don’t… I don’t really do anything special. It might just be natural.”

“Wow… that’s amazing.” You Cheche was incredibly envious, his eyes sparkling. Suddenly, a thought struck him, and he said suggestively, “Xiaoyu, Brother Tang… he’s so good to you. How do you feel about that?”

Li Yuyu’s face turned red. He lowered his head and muttered in a muffled voice, “I’m very grateful to him.”

You Cheche pressed further, “So, does our Xiaoyu have someone he likes?”

Li Yuyu’s voice grew even quieter. “Yes… I do.”

“Is it Brother Tang? It’s okay, you don’t have to be afraid, I won’t tell anyone.”

Li Yuyu curled himself into a ball, sticking close to You Cheche, almost burying himself in the other’s embrace. You Cheche wrapped an arm around him and took his hand.

Smiling gently, he said, “Then Brother Tang is very lucky to be liked by you. You are a wonderful person, so don’t feel inferior. I can tell you for a fact that Tang Yuwei’s feelings for you are definitely different compared to how he treats others. I can’t jump to conclusions about the exact extent of it, but you must be confident, okay?”

“Mhm… thank you.”

Li Yuyu felt a lump in his throat; his heart filled with a dull ache. At the moment his secret crush was exposed, he felt helpless. But fortunately, the person who saw through him was a gentle angel who warmed his heart.

The athletes for the 3,000-meter race had already gone for registration. You Cheche and Li Yuyu ended their conversation and turned their attention to the field. Qi Yuan was like a beam of light, deeply etched into You Cheche’s heart.

As the whistle blew, Qi Yuan charged out. He watched as Qi Yuan overtook one person after another, gradually moving into first place.

“Ahhh!!! Qi Yuan overtook the athlete from Class Seven!!!”

“Brother Yuan is mighty!!!”
