Strawberry Flavored A Does Not Want To Be In A Relationship - Chapter 6
Fang Zhishui really stood outside the classroom as punishment for the entire period.
Ruan Mei, wiping her tears, finished the experiment. Contrary to everyone’s expectations, her score was quite high, and the teacher even praised her specifically.
When the class ended, Ruan Mei practically walked out of the laboratory sideways, enjoying the complicated looks from all her classmates. She approached Fang Zhishui, who was standing at the door.
“You looked down on me, didn’t you? Do you know I scored ninety points on the experiment today?”
Fang Zhishui’s expression was calm, without a ripple:
“Oh, I usually score a perfect one hundred on experiments.”
Ruan Mei:
“…”
The world of top students is truly magnificent.
She turned and left, not wanting to exchange another word with the female lead.
At the end of the hallway, another classroom was also dismissing, and students poured out. A tall girl suddenly broke into a smile and ran towards Ruan Mei.
Ruan Mei thought it was someone the original host knew and was about to greet her, but the other person just bumped into her and rushed past her towards the back, shouting loudly:
“Brother Fang! You’re also having an experiment here, what a coincidence! Want to come over for dinner tonight? My family bought Australian lobster.”
The tall girl was very familiar with the situation and playfully threw a light slap towards Fang Zhishui, which was blocked by a speechless Fang Zhishui with a raised hand. The two exchanged a few moves, with the tall girl making hum-hum-ha-ha sound effects with her mouth.
Ruan Mei glanced over there and searched carefully through the original host’s memories. Finally, she remembered that Fang Zhishui had a wealthy friend she grew up with, named Wu Tong, and this must be her.
She looked… brainless, really a classic combination of the thoughtless and the unhappy with Fang Zhishui.
Ruan Mei casually took a couple of glances and left, no longer paying attention to the female lead’s reaction. She just wanted to stay as far away from the female lead as possible.
For the next few days, Ruan Mei and Fang Zhishui were indeed peaceful, living separately without interfering with each other.
The monthly exam was approaching, and everyone was studying hard, including Fang Zhishui, who studied very diligently.
Ruan Mei was even more serious. Outside of going to the restroom during breaks, both of them were studying, doing practice problems and mock exams.
The classmates glanced at this one, then at that one, and couldn’t help but whisper:
“Honestly, Ruan Mei studying this hard is something I didn’t expect.”
“Actually, I can’t understand either of them. I can understand Ruan Mei wanting to move up a few spots with effort, but why does Fang Zhishui, who is so rich, study so hard instead of just waiting to inherit the family business?”
“That’s her family matter. Her family is rich, but she didn’t go to an elite school either, why?”
“Maybe she specifically came to occupy the first place in the grade and enjoy the feeling of making the underachievers tremble…”
“I want to see how many spots School Tyrant Ruan can climb in this monthly exam. Imagine how embarrassing it will be for the person she overtakes when the results are posted!”
Ruan Mei ignored these comments and studied even harder.
That morning, the class monitor and Chinese representative, Chu Wanji, was collecting homework. She reached the person in front of Ruan Mei, who was also a slacker, a little punk who had recently differentiated into an Alpha and was showing off his dominance, currently resting one leg on his desk.
“Chinese homework is only for weak Omegas to write. You don’t need to worry about our Alpha’s homework!”
Chu Wanji, who hadn’t differentiated yet, suppressed her anger and said:
“There is no such rule. Everyone must do the homework, regardless of gender.”
The little punk suddenly sat up, extended a fist, and struck out quickly!
The punch was extremely controlled; it landed swiftly right in front of Chu Wanji’s eyes, the air movement even messing up the fringe of her hair, but it stopped dead.
The classmates gasped in surprise.
Chu Wanji herself broke out in a cold sweat, but her eyes remained firm as she looked at the person in front of her:
“The homework!”
The punk, having shown off, was still smug, but seeing this short girl in front of him was being uncooperative, he was about to get angry.
Suddenly, a clear voice came from behind Ruan Mei:
“If you didn’t do your homework, just say so. What’s the point of scaring people with your fist? You have the guts not to do the homework, but not the guts to admit it!”
The little punk turned red with shame and anger and turned to grab Ruan Mei’s collar, but for some reason, the chair beneath his bottom suddenly became unstable. His posture was lost, and he fell directly onto the floor, catching himself with one hand on the floor tiles.
“Hahahaha ha ha ha…”
Everyone burst into laughter.
The punk lay on the ground, his elbow crushed against the floor, in so much pain that he cried out.
Ruan Mei then said to Chu Wanji:
“My homework is here.”
Chu Wanji’s face flushed slightly. Her stern expression involuntarily softened into a small smile as she took the homework and quickly turned to leave.
The punk stood up, baring his teeth, pointing at Ruan Mei’s nose, and said:
“Did you fucking play dirty? Did you pull my chair just now?”
Ruan Mei shook her head innocently, her eyes welling up with water:
“Who said that? I didn’t move. I haven’t even differentiated yet. You’re an Alpha, how can your chair be pulled away so easily? I heard Alphas have innate intuition; maybe you’re just not capable in that area?”
The surrounding onlookers burst into uncontrollable laughter. This Ruan Mei is much cuter than before! And her words are so funny!
The little punk was so angry he slammed the table, but he was clearly in the wrong and couldn’t retort. He just spat once and turned back to sit down.
As soon as he sat down, the chair suddenly let out a crack, shattering into pieces.
Ruan Mei couldn’t help but cover her mouth, watching the little punk fall to the floor again. She had long hated this guy; his pheromone smelled like rust, and he didn’t bathe properly, so the smell of rust mixed with sweat was particularly disruptive to Ruan Mei’s studies.
The inspiration for the whole thing was actually learned from Fang Zhishui, but she only dared to use a little of it while Fang Zhishui was in the bathroom.
She habitually looked towards the window and saw Fang Zhishui walking back. She quickly lowered her head, pretending to be doing problems, and didn’t look up again, even when the punk stood up and started cursing while pointing at Ruan Mei’s head.
When Fang Zhishui entered the room, the whole class fell silent. Everyone knew that the goddess top student liked a quiet environment, and they didn’t dare to make noise when she was around.
Even the little punk, who was in the middle of a tirade, immediately shut up.
While doing problems, Ruan Mei couldn’t help but muse that the female lead’s halo was really useful; it came with a “prestige” bonus, making her the center of attention wherever she went.
Fang Zhishui glanced in Ruan Mei’s direction and saw the chair at the desk in front of her shattered into pieces.
With Fang Zhishui’s eyesight, she could clearly see from a distance that the fracture looked like it had been kicked.
Based on the position, it should have been just within Ruan Mei’s kicking distance.
Fang Zhishui raised an eyebrow with interest and calmly returned to her seat.
Yi High School, like many ordinary schools, has a small hill behind it, which is a good place for students to study or date. Many students spend the early morning study period or after lunch reciting texts or reading English here, and quite a few couples are affectionate there.
Ruan Mei usually didn’t go out, but today, for some unknown reason, she felt uncomfortable in the classroom. After lunch, she grabbed her English book and ran to the back hill, intending to read some English.
The small grove on the hill was mostly planted with plane trees. It was November, and the leaves were falling in large swathes, making it quite romantic.
The third time Ruan Mei pulled a leaf off her book, she heard a soft scream nearby.
“Oh my… he’s really handsome! I can take it!”
“As expected of Gu Yanlin, he must be the Campus Heartthrob, right? I’m definitely voting for him in the next Campus Heartthrob election!”
“Ying ying ying, he seems to be walking this way! What do I do! Quick, help me check if my hairstyle is messed up!”
Ruan Mei looked up and froze.
The boy walking towards her was exceptionally eye catching.
He was also wearing a normal school uniform and long pants, but he was nearly 1.85 meters tall, and his legs, encased in his pants, were long and straight.
His features were also flawless, a nose bridge so high it looked mixed race, deep eyes, and paper-thin lips, projecting a majesty that didn’t seem like that of an ordinary high school student.
Ruan Mei only took one look, and her heart skipped a beat. With a face so devastatingly handsome, could this person be Gu Yanlin?
Gu Yanlin, the male protagonist of this book!
In the book’s world, the one who would later differentiate into a Cedar-scented Alpha and date the Red Wine-scented Omega, Fang Zhishui!
Look at him his pheromone is cedar, so high end, grand, and sophisticated very male lead material! And her own pheromone is the unimpressive strawberry scent. No wonder she’s just cannon fodder.
Ruan Mei saw a thin boy following behind the male lead like a little sidekick. As they walked, the thin boy was saying something, and the male lead nodded occasionally.
The scene looked somewhat familiar.
Ruan Mei had a feeling, looked up towards the opposite side, and instantly froze.
Fang Zhishui and Wu Tong were also walking towards this side, one after the other, along the small path in the grove!
And Ruan Mei was positioned in the middle of the path, meaning if these two were to meet, she would be the closest witness!
A description from the original novel flashed through Ruan Mei’s mind:
“The autumn wind carried the leaves, rustling as they fell. A few leaves landed amidst the sound of two pairs of footsteps crossing paths. Fang Zhishui looked up, her heart stirring slightly, and the man with features as handsome as a European deity was also looking over. Their gazes met, and from then on, towering waves were stirred in Fang Zhishui’s heart.”
This was the exact location of the first meeting between the male and female protagonists!
According to the plot, the female lead would be bumped by the male lead’s little follower when they crossed paths. Then the male lead would apologize for his sidekick. The female lead would turn to leave but accidentally drop her brooch, which the male lead would pick up, and the subsequent story would unfold from there.
Ruan Mei immediately packed her school bag, ready to run out of the small grove. She didn’t want to watch the plot unfold! Staying far away from the male and female leads was the surest way to survive; watching the excitement was out of the question!
Ruan Mei hesitated while putting on her bag, unsure which way to go. This was truly a case of wolves in front and tigers behind, and she only had a fighting power of five!
Finally, Ruan Mei decided not to go anywhere but to slip out through the gaps between the trees.
She turned and took a step, just entering the grove, when she heard a light laugh from behind her:
“Why are you running?”
Ruan Mei turned back to see that Fang Zhishui had stepped off the paved stone path and was walking towards her!
No, Female Lead, don’t follow the plot! Why are you chasing me? Hurry up and look back at the Male Lead!
Ruan Mei stared, and said nonsensically to Fang Zhishui: “Hurry back to the main path!”
Ruan Mei stomped her foot: “You take your open road, I’ll take my single plank bridge. We’ll never see each other again, bye!”
She turned and fled. Everything that needed to be said had been said. As for whether the female lead followed the plot or not, that was none of her business!
Hopefully, the male lead will be sensible and meet the female lead in the grove. Come on, you can do it!
Ruan Mei cheered for the male lead secretly while running. When she ran out of the small grove and looked back, she was speechless.
Fang Zhishui had followed the path she just ran and was already running over to her.
Fang Zhishui panted slightly, her cheeks slightly red, her breathing a little ragged. Her long hair was scattered over her shoulders, seemingly having lost its hair tie, and in the disarray, there was a strong, temperamental beauty.
Her gaze was fixed on Ruan Mei, and she asked with a frown:
“Why… do you run the moment you see me?”
Ruan Mei:
“Then why do you chase me the moment you see me? Am I some kind of Jizhi Syrup?”
