Straight Man A Was Labeled As Fake A. - Chapter 1
“Jian Jian! Wake up, hurry up!”
Jian Song was jolted from his sleep. Feeling grumpy about being woken up, he snapped, “What is it?”
Jiang Qi leaned in with a cheeky grin. “Jian Jian, did you know a transfer student is joining our class?”
Jian Song stretched his back and scoffed, “What kind of idiot transfers during their freshman year?”
Jiang Qi mysteriously pulled out his phone. “This transfer student is a real legend.”
Jian Song took the phone and said dismissively, “What kind of legend transfers in their first year?”
On the screen was a candid photo. The boy was standing in the shade of a tree with sunlight slanting across him. He had a superior profile and a high-bridged nose, and his eyelashes were clearly defined in the light.
Jian Song’s breath hitched. A feeling of genuine attraction began to spread within him. He held the phone and asked, “Who is this?”
Jiang Qi chuckled. “Jian Jian, how do you not know? This is Lu Yingchi, the academic god from No. 1 High.”
Jian Song rolled the name “Lu Yingchi” around in his mind.
Thinking back to the photo, Jian Song sighed, “He is so good-looking. How can such a beautiful person exist in this world?”
Just as Jian Song was lost in thoughts of Lu Yingchi’s beauty, a soft, faint voice called out from outside the classroom door: “Jian Song, Jian Song.”
Jian Song looked up and saw a petite Omega standing in the doorway, calling his name in a delicate voice. It immediately drew the attention of the students who were looking for a spectacle.
Jiang Qi leaned in with a motherly smile. “Our Jian Jian is so charming. How many is this for the week?”
Jian Song pushed Jiang Qi’s head away. “Get lost! Your head is full of filthy thoughts.”
Jiang Qi shrugged and remained silent. Jian Song walked over, leaned against the doorframe, and asked lazily, “What do you want?”
The shy little Omega looked at the rogue-ish Alpha and blushed. He bashfully handed over a cake box and whispered, “This is for you.”
Jian Song took it and noticed a pink letter resting on top. He raised an eyebrow, picked it up to take a look, and then handed it back. “Sorry, I cannot accept this.”
The Omega’s eyes instantly welled up with tears. He reached out to take back his gift and whispered, “Okay, I understand.”
Jian Song said “hmm” and turned to walk back, but the Omega grabbed his sleeve. Jian Song turned around, puzzled.
The Omega gave him a pitiful smile and asked, “What kind of Omega do you like?”
Jian Song’s brows knit together slightly. He pondered for a moment, then caught a glimpse of a handsome, cool-looking boy walking down the hallway carrying books. Jian Song pointed at him and said, “That kind.”
The Omega looked over and froze. “Jian Song, so you like God Lu?”
Jian Song frowned. “God Lu? Who is that?”
As he spoke, Lu Yingchi walked up to him while holding his books and gave him a cold look. “Excuse me.”
He stepped past Jian Song. Suddenly, an intoxicating, alluring scent drifted to the tip of Jian Song’s nose. Jian Song was stunned. He had never smelled a pheromone like this before—it was like a strong, rich wine, weaving its way into his heart. Jian Song’s heart pounded wildly. He thought to himself, I am going to fall in love.
After the boy left, Jian Song finally snapped out of it. His face was flushed, as if he were drunk. He grabbed Jiang Qi, who was standing nearby, and said, “He smells so good.”
Jiang Qi recoiled as if he had been burned. He looked at Jian Song in shock. “You said who smells good?”
Jian Song smiled, looking somewhat shy. “That boy just now. I have decided! I am going to pursue him!”
Jiang Qi had a strange expression on his face. He asked cautiously, “Jian Jian, do you like Alphas?”
Jian Song looked at him strangely and shook his head. “How could that be? I am a totally straight Alpha.”
As soon as he said this, Jiang Qi realized that Jian Song had mistaken Lu Yingchi for an Omega. Watching Jian Song’s lovestruck expression, a wicked plan formed in his mind. He couldn’t wait to see the look on Jian Song’s face when he realized his crush was actually an Alpha.
Jian Song and Jiang Qi returned to the classroom. Jian Song still looked lovesick, his face glowing with a flush that broke the hearts of all the Omegas in the class. Some Alphas leaned in mysteriously and asked, “Qi Qi, why does Brother Jian look like he is in heat?”
Jiang Qi smiled enigmatically. “Hmph, you will know in a minute.”
Jian Song rested his chin on his hand, wondering which class his “bride-to-be” might be in. He would have to go investigate later.
Just as he was mentally crossing off classes, he sighed. Which class did his future wife go to?
Then, Liu Yan walked in with the very person Jian Song had been dreaming about.
Jian Song buried his face in his arms and let out a long sigh. Jiang Qi saw the outstanding young man standing on the podium and tapped Jian Song’s hand excitedly. “Jian Jian, look, your dream lover!”
Jian Song let out a long sound, lifted his head from his arms, and raised his eyes to the podium.
At that single glance, Jian Song froze. This is his dream Omega? He actually came to his class?
Jian Song gasped. What was going on? Did his dream actually come true?
Lu Yingchi scanned the room with a cold expression, but his gaze suddenly stopped on one person. Soft sunlight spilled onto the boy’s shoulders; his hair looked fluffy and soft to the touch. His face was clean and fair, and a pair of cat-like eyes were bright and focused, staring straight at him.
But what attracted Lu Yingchi was not just that beautiful, well-behaved face; it was the way their pheromones were silently entangling in the air between them.
Lu Yingchi met Jian Song’s gaze. Jian Song, unaware that his “bride” was actually an Alpha, gave Lu Yingchi a mischievous smile. Lu Yingchi raised an eyebrow at the smile.
Liu Yan looked at the handsome young man before her and sighed with satisfaction. Finally, a good student had arrived in her class. It was wonderful. She said to Lu Yingchi in a soft voice, “Why don’t you introduce yourself?”
Lu Yingchi looked at the students. “My name is Lu Yingchi. I am an Alpha.”
An Alpha? His dream Omega turned into an Alpha?
Big question marks popped up in Jian Song’s mind. His eyes went wide as he stared at Lu Yingchi on the podium, unable to recover for a long time. After a moment of silence, Jian Song turned stiffly to Jiang Qi and asked, “Did he say he is an Alpha?”
Jiang Qi was holding back laughter, enjoying the show. Seeing Jian Song go from love to heartbreak in a second, he finally lost it and burst into laughter. “Jian Jian, you are killing me! You are heartbroken, are you not?”
Jian Song’s face darkened, and he glared fiercely at Jiang Qi. “Stop laughing! Why did you not tell me he was an Alpha earlier?”
Jiang Qi was laughing so hard he could barely breathe. “Jian, Jian, I—I…”
Seeing that Jiang Qi was too amused to finish his sentence, Jian Song immediately understood that this friend had done it on purpose to watch him make a fool of himself.
Jiang Qi’s laughter was so arrogant that Liu Yan’s gaze swept the room and locked onto the laughing Jiang Qi and Jian Song, whose face was as red as a tomato. These two were the troublemakers of the class. She wondered if Lu Yingchi could handle them.
Liu Yan tapped the desk. “Quiet! Quiet! Sit down! Lu, come with me for a moment.”
Lu Yingchi followed Liu Yan to the hallway. Liu Yan tapped him on the shoulder with a smile. “Lu, I have a task for you. Do you think you can handle it?”
Lu Yingchi was still thinking about that cat-like boy. He snapped back to reality. “Teacher, go ahead.”
Liu Yan smiled with ulterior motives. “I plan to have you sit with Jian Song. What do you think? Do you have the confidence to keep him in line?”
Lu Yingchi did not know the students’ names yet, but upon hearing the name “Jian Song,” his mind automatically matched it to the cat-like boy. He guessed, “Is it the student sitting in the last row of the third column?”
Liu Yan nodded. “Yes, he is usually too rowdy.”
Lu Yingchi turned to look through the window. Jian Song was currently standing on his chair, grabbing another student by the collar and shaking him. Liu Yan followed his gaze, felt a headache coming on, and let out a roar: “Jian Song! Sit down! Class is still in session!”
Jian Song was having too much fun to notice the teacher. Upon hearing the teacher’s voice, he jerked his head around, locked eyes with Liu Yan, and sat down in a second.
Liu Yan took a deep breath and looked at Lu Yingchi with a headache. “See? If you do not watch him for even a second, he will be flying off to the heavens.”
Lu Yingchi looked at the now-obedient boy and chuckled. “He is an Alpha?”
Liu Yan nodded. “A top-tier Alpha, too. That is why he is so hard to manage. There are only a few top-tier Alphas in this school, and none of them can suppress him.”
Lu Yingchi asked, “So, you want me to try?”
Liu Yan was firm. “It is not just a try. I think you will definitely be able to handle him.”
Lu Yingchi did not expect her to say that. He raised an eyebrow. “Why would you think that, Teacher?”
Liu Yan looked at the muscles under Lu Yingchi’s uniform and his imposing aura. “Even though Jian Song is an Alpha, he hates pain. Seeing you looking so fierce, he will definitely be afraid of you.”
Hearing what Liu Yan meant, Lu Yingchi started to laugh, but she was right. Lu Yingchi looked over at Jian Song. The boy, who had just calmed down, was already leaning back and talking to the person behind him.
Liu Yan looked at him trustingly. “Well?”
Lu Yingchi looked away from the boy and back to Liu Yan, raising his brows slightly. “Sure, Teacher.”
A huge smile appeared on Liu Yan’s face. “Great! Then it is settled; you will be his seatmate.”
Liu Yan brought Lu Yingchi back into the classroom and tapped the desk firmly. “Alright, quiet! Now, let us arrange the new student’s seat.”
Jian Song was leaning lazily against the desk behind him. He locked eyes with Lu Yingchi on the podium and gave him a look of disdain. Now that he knew Lu Yingchi was an Alpha rather than an Omega, and looking at how frail and sickly he seemed, Jian Song felt a strange dislike for him. However, he was not someone who looked for trouble; if he did not like someone, he simply would not bother with them.
