Spilling the Tea on the Movie Star Who Won't Leave Me Alone - Chapter 54
Everything that followed happened as naturally as could be. The hotel blankets carried a faint scent of disinfectant as the two sank into the soft bedding, whispering endearments and sharing intimate warmth.
Gu Jingxuan’s ears were filled with the suppressed groans escaping from Xu Chi’s gritted teeth, while Xu Chi’s body was covered in marks traces left by Gu Jingxuan like a predator marking his territory.
When Xu Chi woke up in the morning, the slightest movement of his legs brought a wave of soreness.
The skin on his inner thighs felt as if it had been rubbed with sandpaper; even having his legs slightly close together resulted in a mild stinging sensation. Beside him, Gu Jingxuan was still fast asleep. The hotel curtains were not fully closed, allowing the first ray of winter morning sunlight to fall across his face, casting beautiful golden shadows.
“How much longer do you plan on staring at me?”
The person who was supposed to be in a deep sleep suddenly opened his eyes, looking at him with a gaze full of laughter.
Oh no! I got caught peeking.
Xu Chi turned his head away somewhat stiffly and defended himself in a small voice, “I wasn’t peeking.” Then, as if trying to give himself more confidence, he quickly turned back to stare directly at Gu Jingxuan’s face.
The corner of Xu Chi’s mouth was still slightly swollen, a remnant of their intense kissing from the night before. His bathrobe had slid down to his chest, revealing his smooth, rounded shoulders. His elegant collarbones were covered in Gu Jingxuan’s bite marks of various sizes; some had even broken the skin, revealing tender pink flesh.
Gu Jingxuan didn’t need to look to know that everywhere below the neck was covered in his own marks, a clear declaration of ownership.
Smiling, he pulled Xu Chi back into his embrace. Gu Jingxuan’s arm wrapped gently around his waist, firmly locking that slender frame against his chest.
It was wonderful. Since yesterday, this person finally belonged to him.
“Good morning, boyfriend,” Gu Jingxuan greeted Xu Chi, who was trying to play the ostrich by burying his face in Gu Jingxuan’s chest. “Were you captivated by your boyfriend’s peerless beauty first thing in the morning?”
Xu Chi never knew that being called “boyfriend” could bring such happiness. Coming from Gu Jingxuan’s mouth, those three words felt like a lifetime commitment.
His nose was filled with Gu Jingxuan’s scent and warmth. Xu Chi scrunched his nose and sniffed before answering in a muffled voice, “Good morning, boyfriend.”
Surrounded by this man’s presence, Xu Chi felt as though he wanted to cling to Gu Jingxuan’s side forever.
“Director Jiang is arriving today, right?”
The two had been lounging in bed since they woke up; neither had mentioned getting up first. Xu Chi was too lazy to leave Gu Jingxuan’s arms, and Gu Jingxuan was unwilling to let go of the soft, fragrant little treasure in his embrace.
“Old Man Jiang said he’d arrive in the afternoon. There will be a special car to pick him up, so we don’t need to worry.”
Gu Jingxuan expressed extreme dissatisfaction regarding Jiang Yusen’s arrival. He and Xu Chi had only just truly connected their hearts. They hadn’t even been together for a full day before Jiang Yusen was set to bring a huge crowd over to act as high-wattage lightbulbs.
Moreover, Xu Chi was a total theater geek. Once the crew arrived, he would have very little time for Gu Jingxuan. Every time he sought him out, it would be for the script or the plot; the time they could spend getting into “trouble” together would only grow shorter.
Xu Chi’s attitude was the polar opposite. Upon hearing that Jiang Yusen was arriving this afternoon, he became incredibly excited.
“Director Jiang’s new script is truly extraordinary.” Xu Chi’s eyes sparkled when he spoke of the script.
“Tell me, of all those famous directors, which one would dare to film a movie with this kind of theme? And such an explicit same-sex romance at that.”
Xu Chi had earnestly read both the script and the original novel several times. He had even had a disagreement with Gu Jingxuan regarding the interpretation of the characters in the novel.
“I really love this script, and I love so many of the scenes in it. I just wonder if Director Jiang will use a lot of real locations. The scenery in the south is so much better than the north; I feel like many of our previous outdoor scenes would have looked better shot here than using computer composites.”
After becoming his boyfriend, Xu Chi’s attitude had changed significantly. Previously, when he spoke to Gu Jingxuan, he would choose his words carefully and keep things simple, fearing Gu Jingxuan would find him too talkative or annoying.
Now, Xu Chi wanted to tell Gu Jingxuan everything three or four times over. Whenever he saw something novel, he would pull Gu Jingxuan along to marvel at it together.
Xu Chi continued to chatter about the characters in the play. After a long while, he realized Gu Jingxuan hadn’t replied once. Just as he was about to complain or act spoiled, he saw Gu Jingxuan propped up on one arm, watching him with a smile as gentle as water, his eyes seemingly unable to hold anyone else.
“You, you, you… why are you looking at me like that?” Xu Chi’s habit of blushing had become even more severe since getting together with Gu Jingxuan. Sometimes, simply making eye contact would turn his whole face crimson.
“I’m cultivating a feeling,” Gu Jingxuan said with a curl of his lips, watching Xu Chi’s flustered and blushing state.
“What kind of feeling can you cultivate by looking at me? If you really like me that much, just say it directly. I won’t stop you from liking me.”
“Mhm. I like you.”
Xu Chi had expected Gu Jingxuan to laugh off his teasing. Upon hearing the response, he froze for a good while before realizing what Gu Jingxuan had just said.
Gu Jingxuan enjoyed seeing this startled and shy side of him. He could say these mushy, romantic words to Xu Chi a hundred times and never get tired of it.
“I like you. Now that I’ve agreed, what’s next? Do you want to do something to me?”
Xu Chi was completely defenseless against Gu Jingxuan’s sudden romantic verbal attack. He raised both hands to cover his face, shielding himself from Gu Jingxuan’s gaze.
“I… I just agreed. What else is there to do?”
Gu Jingxuan pried Xu Chi’s fingers away one by one. Seeing his ears, which were red enough to be translucent, his heart melted.
“I seem to recall someone ‘keeping’ me a few days ago. As the sugar daddy, you haven’t shown any appreciation for your little lover.” Gu Jingxuan leaned in closer, his breath fanning against Xu Chi’s ear. “Is the sugar daddy perhaps dissatisfied with my service and my body?”
The rising lilt of Gu Jingxuan’s breathy voice exploded in Xu Chi’s ear. Xu Chi covered his face, stammering and not knowing what to say.
Finally, he simply lunged at Gu Jingxuan, sitting on his waist and looking down at him. The corners of his eyes were still flushed from shyness.
“Then… what does the little lover want the sugar daddy to do… for you?”
His words were stumbling and lacked any of the authority of a benefactor.
Having teased him enough, Gu Jingxuan grabbed Xu Chi’s wrists and flipped him back over.
“Little Jingxuan is awake.”
