Spilling the Tea on the Movie Star Who Won't Leave Me Alone - Chapter 18

The film crew finally went on break on New Year’s Eve, allowing everyone to return home to celebrate the Spring Festival with their families before officially resuming work on the third day of the lunar year.

After dropping Xu Chi off at home, Lin Tao drove back to his own house to make it in time for New Year’s Eve dinner.

Xu Chi stood outside his apartment building, shrinking his neck to bury half his face in his scarf. He didn’t really want to go inside; there was no one home. It was cold and lonely not a trace of the New Year’s spirit to be found.

But he didn’t know where else to go. Xie Jin had returned to Vancouver to be with his parents, and his other friends were likely at home celebrating with their families. Only Xu Chi remained standing in the cold wind, calculating the odds of not being photographed if he went to a bar.

“Little one, who are you waiting for?”

Xu Chi was looking up secluded bars on his phone when he heard Gu Jingxuan’s voice. Looking up, he saw a car parked right in front of him.

Gu Jingxuan had been passing by and spotted a little rabbit who hadn’t gone home yet. He decided to stop and tease the easily-flushed rabbit.

Xu Chi raised his face, which was flushed red from the cold. Looking at Gu Jingxuan through the car window, he suddenly felt a wave of emotion that made him want to cry.

He sniffed and said in a muffled voice, “I was just about to go up. I’m just scrolling through my phone down here.”

Gu Jingxuan looked up at the apartment building; not a single floor was lit.

“Is anyone home?” Gu Jingxuan flashed his headlights. Seeing Xu Chi blink reflexively at the light, he thought the boy was incredibly cute.

Xu Chi opened his mouth to speak, but before he could say a word, Gu Jingxuan cut him off.

“Come to my place. I can return your power bank while we’re at it.”

Xu Chi froze, unsure of what to do. He hesitated, saying, “I… I shouldn’t go. I… I’ll just go back to my own place.”

Gu Jingxuan wasn’t about to give him a choice. He got out of the car and tucked Xu Chi directly into the passenger seat.

“No one is at your house anyway. Wouldn’t you just be alone if you went back? It just so happens I’m spending the New Year alone too; just consider it keeping me company.”

Having been whisked away in his idol’s car in a daze, Xu Chi could only nod submissively.

“Brother Gu, didn’t you go back to be with your family for the New Year?”

Gu Jingxuan kept his eyes on the road as he replied, “They went to Italy this year. I couldn’t make it in time, so I’m spending it at home by myself.”

“Oh.” Xu Chi thought for a long time but couldn’t find a topic to talk about, so he simply shut his mouth to avoid distracting Gu Jingxuan from driving.

Once they arrived, Gu Jingxuan brought Xu Chi inside, turned on the TV, and set out a pile of snacks. Then, he grabbed some clothes and headed to the bathroom to shower.

“Eat whatever you want, don’t be shy. Watch the Spring Festival Gala for a bit; I’ll be out soon.”

Xu Chi obediently opened a carton of milk and watched TV while gnawing on the straw. He didn’t dare touch a single potato chip on the table. He had worked so hard to lose weight; if he gained it back right before filming wrapped, he would be so frustrated he’d cry.

A comedy skit was playing on TV, and Xu Chi’s face was full of smiles. Hearing movement from the bathroom behind him, he turned to look and the smile froze on his face.

Gu Jingxuan was standing at the bathroom door, truly wearing nothing at all. Seeing Xu Chi turn around, he even gave him a small smile.

“I grabbed the wrong clothes,” he said, walking into his bedroom without the slightest hint of bashfulness.

The realization hit Xu Chi, and his face turned a deep, burning red; even touching his own cheeks felt like they were on fire. The sound of the television continued in his ears, but his mind was entirely filled with the image of Gu Jingxuan’s naked body.

The chest muscles, the abs, and that not-so-small… “weapon.”

After being brought home by Gu Jingxuan and then seeing him naked, a thought suddenly popped into Xu Chi’s head:
