She Comes Into My Dreams Every Night - Chapter 72
Chapter 72: Always Afraid
The girl’s body was not as cold as expected. Perhaps the warmth of the quilt had heated her, or perhaps she had deliberately raised her body temperature to sleep beside Su Huaiwang.
The skin beneath Su Huaiwang’s palm was soft and gentle, no different from an ordinary person’s.
Every time Su Huaiwang’s hand moved, the girl let out a very faint, pleasurable moan, like a cat being stroked comfortably.
In contrast to Lin Jue’s relaxation, Su Huaiwang was incredibly stiff.
She swallowed nervously, stopping there, unsure whether to move or not.
“What’s wrong?” Lin Jue seemed to sense her awkwardness. She faced Su Huaiwang with a faint blush, smiling lightly, her black hair scattered across the pillow: “Aren’t you going to move?”
Su Huaiwang finally regained control of her neck, tilting her head up to look at the girl’s delicate, lowered gaze.
She licked her dry lips: “Do you feel anything?”
“Of course.” Lin Jue gently guided Su Huaiwang’s hand. The palm moved heavily, and her breathing also quickened a bit: “If the person I love touches me, and I still feel nothing, wouldn’t that be a little too cruel?”
The room wasn’t completely dark. The faint light from outside the floor-to-ceiling window plated the girl’s body with a soft golden edge.
For some reason, Su Huaiwang felt the light was a bit dazzling.
So she closed her eyes.
She didn’t know who suggested it first, but closing her eyes was a subconscious cue for kissing.
She only knew that the floating light on her eyelids came closer until her lips were covered by a soft wet warmth.
The hand resting on Lin Jue’s body moved down from her chest, tracing her waistline, unconsciously mimicking the motion, driven by instinctive desire.
Su Huaiwang could feel that the person kissing her had become much more frantic, their lips and tongue more clinging, winding around her again and again, as if clinging or coaxing.
The kiss traveled downward. Just as Lin Jue had done to her, she followed suit, kissing the girl’s earlobe and chin, leaving wet traces and teeth marks on her neck and collarbone.
Su Huaiwang realized for the first time that touching someone else could be so satisfying. She was almost immersed in it.
It stopped abruptly.
Su Huaiwang’s mind was still in a daze.
The full, yielding feeling was still in her hand, but their positions had changed.
Lin Jue was straddling her.
“Lin…” Her confusion and grievance hadn’t fully emerged before Lin Jue interrupted her.
Lin Jue leaned down to kiss her. It was much rougher than the gentle kisses she initiated.
The feeling of a grinding file scraped across her senses, and the situation instantly changed.
“Sorry,” Lin Jue lifted her head, her face showing genuine apology.
She pointed to the corner of her mouth, stained with saliva, and frowned in distress:
“I think I got a little too excited.”
“What… do you mean?” Su Huaiwang’s eyes were hazy; she hadn’t fully recovered.
“I want to take the lead, is that okay?”
Su Huaiwang’s earlier method was truly torturing her with impatience.
“But…” The woman’s eyebrows instantly furrowed in displeasure.
“I know, I know.” Lin Jue softened her tone, leaning close to her ear, her softness rubbing against her: “Let’s be together, okay?”
Her voice was low and tender, carrying a pleading quality.
Su Huaiwang usually hated it when she spoke like that.
“I guess so…?” Su Huaiwang hesitated.
Seeing the other party’s attitude soften, Lin Jue couldn’t resist. She rubbed her nose against Su Huaiwang’s earlobe, then playfully nibbled it a few times. Her hair brushed against Su Huaiwang’s face, tickling her and making her smile involuntarily.
Unfortunately, that smile didn’t last long.
Lin Jue straightened up, her slender waist completely exposed before her.
The girl tossed her long hair, scattering all the annoying strands behind her back.
“But, I have one request.”
Su Huaiwang stared at her blankly, agreeing without thinking: “Okay.”
Infatuated by her beauty, she only remembered to ask for the content after agreeing: “What request?”
Lin Jue smiled and parted her lips: “I hope you can hold on a little longer, at least until I finish once.”
“?”
Su Huaiwang’s eyes widened. She didn’t understand what she meant.
Lin Jue sighed, gently moving Su Huaiwang’s hand, which was still tightly gripping her thigh.
She shifted back a bit until her posture was convenient.
“What I mean is, although I can feel something, I am still a ghost after all. My sensations are not sensitive enough, almost dull.
“And you—I don’t need to tell you, you should know by now,” Lin Jue’s smile somehow contained an unknown source of pity: “You are too sensitive.”
The warning system in her brain finally reacted, buzzing with alerts.
The moment they connected, Su Huaiwang instinctively flinched, wanting to escape, but Lin Jue held her by the waist.
Lin Jue slightly bent her waist, sighing: “So, I’m going to have to trouble you a bit. I’m sorry.”
Su Huaiwang couldn’t sense any sincerity in this apology.
“I don’t want to—”
Her frantic words were scattered and muffled by the movement.
A ghost’s body is not for seeking pleasure, but a human’s is.
For Lin Jue, it was just the minor pleasure of soaking in warm water, but for Su Huaiwang, it was a little too stimulating.
But what could be done about it?
The sheets were almost torn by Su Huaiwang’s grip.
The next afternoon, when checking out, Su Huaiwang stood in front, practically afraid to look at the hotel receptionist’s polite smile.
Only after the two were in the car did she finally lose her temper.
“Button up your shirt!”
Lin Jue was starting the car. She turned her head at the words, looking puzzled:
“Why?”
Su Huaiwang’s mouth twitched: “Why do you think?”
Lin Jue followed her gaze. The rearview mirror reflected the discontinuous marks on her neck and shoulders.
“I’m not cold,” she smiled.
“When did you learn to play dumb?” Su Huaiwang complained in a low voice, leaning closer to her.
Lin Jue subconsciously thought she wanted to kiss her. Only after leaning in did she realize Su Huaiwang was manually buttoning her up.
Seeing the ambiguous marks mostly covered, Su Huaiwang was finally satisfied and patted her:
“There. When you’re out in public, you must abide by public morals and decency, understood?”
“I’m not human,” Lin Jue replied coolly, lightly tugging at her collar, looking uncomfortable but daring not to move.
Su Huaiwang raised an eyebrow, not falling for it: “Living in human society means behaving like a human. Look at me.”
She pointed to her own neck.
She was wearing a high-neck sweater today, enough to completely hide all traces.
“Neat and tidy.”
Lin Jue stared at her with wide eyes, lost in thought.
Suddenly, the girl leaned closer, her index finger slightly pulling down the sweater collar.
Her canine teeth once again covered the sustenance of the previous night, an old mark joining a new one. Lin Jue released her, licking her lips.
“Alright, I’ll listen to you.”
The woman’s face immediately flushed, even though the car heater hadn’t been turned on yet.
Su Huaiwang ignored her, frantically tidying up her collar.
Feeling ignored, Lin Jue pouted, looking wronged.
Su Huaiwang glared at her.
The moment Lin Jue bit her just now, her body reacted automatically, almost making her cry out.
She had been sensitive before, but never like this.
If it weren’t for last night…
Su Huaiwang shivered, shifting her position slightly on the seat, feeling uneasy.
Lin Jue held the steering wheel but closely monitored her every move.
“Cold?” she asked, turning up the heater one notch.
Su Huaiwang didn’t argue, only extended her hand to feel the more forceful warm air.
With the movement, her sweater sleeve rode up, revealing the faded red marks and teeth marks on her fair wrist.
Su Huaiwang stiffened for a moment, controlling her impulse to cover it up.
She silently exhaled.
It was a good thing she didn’t have to meet anyone today, otherwise she couldn’t imagine how thoroughly she’d have to cover herself.
Last night, she finally found out what Lin Jue was like when she was truly aroused.
It was simply indescribable. Her thighs couldn’t even close properly now, and when they did, she felt a slight strange sensation. The skin on her thighs was bitten and rubbed raw, now terribly red.
Compared to more private areas, the marks on her wrist were manageable.
Not only did Lin Jue bite her, but she also coaxed Su Huaiwang to bite her back.
Su Huaiwang was so mentally scattered from the lovemaking that she had no choice but to weakly get up and gnaw at Lin Jue’s neck.
She was both gnawing at her and being ravaged simultaneously. Su Huaiwang couldn’t even tell what she was doing, only knowing that she was leaving marks of varying depths accompanied by pleasure. That’s why the marks on Lin Jue’s neck looked so messy.
But Lin Jue herself was quite satisfied, looking at them repeatedly in the mirror this morning, reluctant for them to fade.
The car drove smoothly on the highway. There weren’t many cars around. The sky was high and the clouds light, and the not-too-intense sunlight hung on the edges of fragmented clouds.
Just looking at it made Su Huaiwang feel sleepy.
There was music playing in the car, a soft, low singing. Su Huaiwang felt like this scene was familiar.
A familiar part of the song came on. She turned to look at Lin Jue, who was lightly humming along: “You like this song very much?”
Lin Jue saw no reason to deny it: “Yes.”
The next song was also familiar to her.
“Is this my playlist?” Su Huaiwang finally realized.
Lin Jue nodded, her fingers tapping the steering wheel to the rhythm.
Su Huaiwang’s expression relaxed a bit: “I’ll recommend some more to you if you like listening.”
Lin Jue smiled, joy evident in her eyes and eyebrows: “Okay.”
Su Huaiwang couldn’t help but smile too.
The song playing in the car was a sad one. She didn’t know why they were both smiling in this atmosphere.
Lin Jue was probably special, and probably not. Su Huaiwang thought.
What was the difference between Lin Jue and humans? She liked painting, music, and snuggling with her in the warm quilt to watch a movie.
So what was she so worried about? Worried that this relationship was just a wraith’s momentary whim? Worried that her feelings were not the same as a wraith’s?
Su Huaiwang couldn’t tell if she was feeling insecure or simply accustomed to avoidance.
After knowing Lin Jue was a ghost, her biggest fear wasn’t that Lin Jue would harm her, but that—
Did she not have romantic feelings for her in the conventional sense?
At first, she was afraid of ruining their friendship. Then, she was afraid of failing the ghost’s pure reliance.
But now, none of that seemed to matter.
Su Huaiwang turned her head.
Lin Jue’s skin tone was a little too pale, and her lips were a little too red. At a glance, she didn’t have the gentle look of their first meeting. Instead, she had an eerie quality.
But it was a different kind of beauty.
For some reason, whenever she looked at her, her heart felt filled with something.
An indescribable feeling, a feeling she rarely tasted.
As she watched, Su Huaiwang unconsciously started to yawn.
She leaned against the car window and finally fell asleep.
Lin Jue looked straight ahead, concentrating on driving. The blanket in the car, however, somehow moved, stealthily covering the sleeping woman.
The engine hummed softly. This moment seemed to be at a standstill.
