She Comes Into My Dreams Every Night - Chapter 3
Chapter 3: Interlude
In the kitchen, Su Huaiwang was washing vegetables, frowning deeply.
Seeing Lin Jue’s slightly lonely expression, and thinking of the young girl moving to this unfamiliar place alone, she spoke too quickly and invited the other party to stay for lunch.
She looked around the kitchen. Thankfully, she had just restocked, so there were plenty of ingredients. Usually, when eating alone, she’d just throw something together. Today, with Lin Jue here, she felt she had to cook at least four dishes and one soup.
Su Huaiwang wasn’t skilled at cooking. She had only taught herself using online tutorials after her parents passed away. When her parents were alive, they never allowed her to step foot in the kitchen.
With the rice cooking on the stove, Su Huaiwang was about to open the refrigerator when she caught sight of Lin Jue leaning against the doorframe out of the corner of her eye.
“Is there anything I can help with?” Lin Jue asked.
“Um… could you check if Little Huang and the others are tearing up the house?” Su Huaiwang replied cautiously, pausing her work.
Lin Jue smiled, pointing her thumb towards the window: “They’re very well-behaved.”
More than just well-behaved. The three little animals that usually gathered in a circle while she cooked were now huddled by the sofa, peeking out, much like subjects who could only gaze resentfully toward the territory they had lost.
Su Huaiwang was speechless. She couldn’t bring herself to ask directly if she was simply disliked by small animals.
Lin Jue sighed: “I think I’ve never been very popular with small animals since I was little. They all keep their distance and don’t want to play with me.”
She said this with a pitiful tone.
“Well, how about you watch some TV? The remote control is in the drawer under the coffee table.” At this, Su Huaiwang seemed to remember something: “Oh, right, I haven’t given you the WiFi password yet, it’s…”
They rarely had guests, and Lin Jue hadn’t taken out her phone since arriving, so Su Huaiwang had naturally forgotten about it.
Lin Jue patiently listened to Su Huaiwang recite the password but didn’t take out her phone to connect to the WiFi. Instead, she said with a smile: “I’d like to watch Big Sister cook here and chat with you, if that’s okay?”
Su Huaiwang paused, hesitating: “It’s fine, but the kitchen will be hot, and there will be cooking fumes.”
Su Huaiwang faintly smelled the clean scent of cold incense mixed with sandalwood on the girl, and she privately didn’t want the smell of oil smoke to cling to it.
“It’s okay. If anything, Big Sister is the one working harder.”
Since the words had been said, Su Huaiwang had no further reason to refuse.
Once she realized someone was watching her, Su Huaiwang inevitably became flustered. She hadn’t even turned on the heat yet, but sweat was already beading on her forehead.
“You’re sweating. Let me wipe it for you, Big Sister.” The girl leaned in, carefully using a scented tissue to wipe the sweat beads from Su Huaiwang’s forehead. The coolness from her body brushed against Su Huaiwang with the movement, dispelling some of the heat.
“Actually, I have a question I want to ask you, Big Sister,” Lin Jue suddenly said.
“What is it?”
“Why did Big Sister move here?”
“I don’t really like city life, and… I’m not very good at socializing. Living here alone is better.”
“Is that so? I feel the same way.” The dimples reappeared next to Lin Jue’s mouth.
Su Huaiwang glanced at her, her eyes shining with curiosity: “Then why did you move here?” Could it also be for the same reason?
“To recover from an illness,” Lin Jue’s eyes dimmed slightly: “Both physically and mentally.”
Su Huaiwang’s hands paused in her work. The difficulty of human interaction, which she hadn’t felt in a long time, surfaced in her heart again. Her brain started spinning frantically, trying to figure out how to cover up this topic that clearly wasn’t suitable for conversation between them.
“This place is better for my recovery, so I moved here.”
“I see… and your parents…”
“They’ve passed away.”
Su Huaiwang took a deep breath. She had hit a landmine with every sentence. She suspected she truly had a gift for saying the wrong thing.
“Then we’re quite similar. My parents are also gone.” Su Huaiwang racked her brain to make the topic lighter.
“That means we’re fated to meet,” Lin Jue smiled.
After talking aimlessly for a while, although Su Huaiwang’s cooking skills weren’t great, her efficiency was top-notch. The four dishes and one soup were quickly placed on the table.
Lin Jue was stronger than Su Huaiwang expected and seemed impervious to heat. Saying she wanted to help, she grabbed a plate and left.
Since Su Huaiwang always ate alone, her dining table wasn’t large. Now, the two sat across from each other, with the steaming dishes in between.
Eating small mouthfuls of food, Su Huaiwang felt somewhat ill at ease. Not only because the two dogs were pressed tightly against her legs on either side, but also because Lin Jue seemed more interested in her than in eating. Those eyes were constantly fixed on her. Although there was no malice, only a smile, it still made Su Huaiwang feel a bit uncomfortable.
“Aren’t you eating?” Su Huaiwang finally couldn’t help but ask.
“Mm, eating,” Lin Jue then picked up her chopsticks and picked up a few grains of rice: “Sorry, I’ve never had a great appetite, especially in the summer.”
“Have some soup. It’s an appetizer.” Su Huaiwang said, taking the bowl placed on the side to ladle soup for Lin Jue. Halfway through, she felt that what she was doing was a little too familiar, but since the soup was half-ladled, she could only grit her teeth and finish filling the bowl.
“Thank you. Actually, just watching Big Sister eat gives me an appetite.” Lin Jue’s eyes curved in a smile.
Hearing this, Su Huaiwang choked slightly and looked up at her hesitantly, wondering why the other person had so many embarrassing things to say.
Lin Jue winked at her and lowered her head to eat.
The latter half of the meal was clean and quiet. Although Lin Jue claimed to have little appetite, once she started eating, she consumed quite a bit. In the end, she didn’t forget to compliment Su Huaiwang: “It’s all because Big Sister’s cooking is so delicious.”
Su Huaiwang tasted the shredded potatoes in her bowl—it was still the same bland flavor. But seeing Lin Jue eat so happily, she kept her thoughts to herself.
After the meal, Lin Jue said goodbye, and Su Huaiwang was once again alone in the large villa.
Su Huaiwang lay down on the lazy chair, relaxing her entire body, but for some reason, a strange emotion settled in her heart.
Truthfully, before today, it had been a long time since she had talked to a peer. Even with Grandma Chen and others, the communication was usually just two simple sentences. This was the first time she had spoken face-to-face with someone so extensively since her friend went abroad.
At the mere thought of Lin Jue, her head started to ache again.
She had slept too long this morning, so now she couldn’t fall asleep for her afternoon nap. Moreover… she was a little afraid of dreaming of Lin Jue again.
She had only met the girl once and dreamed of that kind of thing the same night. Who knew what tonight would bring?
Su Huaiwang turned over, internally despising herself. As if sensing her owner’s bad mood, the two dogs rubbed against her, whining softly.
“You too,” Su Huaiwang pressed her finger against Da Hui’s forehead: “Why were you so hostile to her?”
Da Hui drooped its ears, looking up with sad, puppy eyes, its tail dejectedly resting behind it.
“And you ran off without a trace,” After scolding Da Hui, Su Huaiwang poked Little Huang, who was lying next to Da Hui looking smug: “Why are you so afraid of her?”
After living with the animals for several years, Su Huaiwang could understand a little of their emotions.
When facing Lin Jue, they exhibited not hostility, but fear. But Su Huaiwang couldn’t understand why a fair-skinned, pretty girl would scare the dogs so much.
Could her family run a dog meat restaurant?
After thinking it over, this seemed to be the only plausible explanation.
For Su Huaiwang, the appearance of a neighbor did not change her life. Furthermore, Lin Jue didn’t seem to be the outdoor type. Su Huaiwang occasionally looked up at the villa next door from the vegetable patch in her front yard, but she never saw Lin Jue.
The house was as quiet as before, and the lights weren’t even turned on often at night.
Su Huaiwang wasn’t the type to pry into others’ affairs, so she would silently suppress any questions in her heart. In contrast, the dogs often stood guard, looking at the house as if facing a grave enemy.
Lin Jue felt like an interlude. Aside from her initial visit over the first two days, Su Huaiwang hadn’t seen her during the daytime over the next few days.
She specified daytime because every night, Su Huaiwang would see her right on schedule.
Having dreamed of her too many times now, Su Huaiwang could recognize that she was dreaming.
She was currently cradled in Lin Jue’s arms, looking up to kiss her. With her eyes open, she could see those amber-colored pupils.
To be honest, it was a little scary. The dream version of Lin Jue liked to stare at her, whether kissing or doing anything else. Su Huaiwang even suspected she didn’t blink at all.
After getting used to it, and knowing this was her dream, Su Huaiwang reached out and covered her eyes.
“Lin Jue’s” movements paused, and she gently tapped Su Huaiwang’s hand covering her eyes.
The eyelashes fluttered against her palm, tickling slightly. Su Huaiwang murmured drowsily, “Close your eyes.”
The girl obediently nodded. In this daily recurring dream, Lin Jue never spoke, but she would satisfy whatever Su Huaiwang asked of her.
Su Huaiwang occasionally harbored the greatest malice toward herself, wondering if she had created a doll in her dream that looked exactly like her beautiful neighbor and was incredibly obedient.
So, Su Huaiwang released her hand from the girl’s eyes, hooked her neck, and eagerly moved in closer.
Outside of the dream, Su Huaiwang had never been kissed, but for some reason, when in the dream, she loved kissing Lin Jue’s soft, thin lips so much. Kissing her would even excite her enough to become aroused in two places at once.
Su Huaiwang was lost in the sensation of their lips and tongues mingling, while Lin Jue’s hands moved down, according to her deepest desires.
Her fingers tightened on Lin Jue’s body. In the brief pauses between kisses, Su Huaiwang gasped, trembled, and anticipated.
She realized she was someone who cried easily. Every time Lin Jue brought her pleasure, she couldn’t help but cry, wiping her tears onto the other’s beautifully structured neck, shoulders, or face.
When a person is dreaming, the mind is always covered in a thin layer of fog, making all senses numb and sluggish except for the surging emotions within.
It was precisely because of this that Su Huaiwang did not immediately realize how today was different from the previous days until a buzzing sound was captured by her nerves.
By that point, there was no possibility of turning back. Su Huaiwang desperately arched her back, without the extra rationality to wonder why the dream version of Lin Jue was “evolving.”
Thud—
Again, she suddenly woke up at a certain moment, the focused tingly sensation between her legs not yet gone.
Su Huaiwang opened her eyes wide, looking toward her pillow.
There was only Little Huang, watching her expectantly, but not her small toy.
After that first time, she had reflected bitterly, and to prevent similar wet dreams, she had decided to put the toy away.
This effort had clearly failed. Without the small toy, Lin Jue still came to her dreams every night to solve her sexual repression problem.
After several nights, she simply gave up on herself and used the toy again, though she made sure to put it away before sleeping this time.
She had to admit, after not using it for a while, a toy with a strange feeling was indeed more satisfying than her own hand.
The result was that in tonight’s dream, that small toy actually appeared! And it was in Lin Jue’s hand!
Su Huaiwang flipped out of bed with a swoosh, pulling open the hidden small cabinet containing things no one should see.
Okay.
Now she had two choices.
First, to abide by her own moral standards and absolutely not subjectively defile Lin Jue.
Second, to embrace the beast within her and show her wet dreams what the wildest sexual fantasy of the last five millennia looks like.
