She Comes Into My Dreams Every Night - Chapter 2
Chapter 2: The Dream
The comforter shook, and a subtle humming sound was muffled within. Su Huaiwang’s vision was hazy. She bit the corner of the sheet and turned her head, feeling as if fireworks were exploding in her brain.
By the time the arch of her foot, which had been pressing desperately against the bedsheet, finally relaxed, the woman’s body was still intermittently trembling with the aftershocks.
Su Huaiwang put the toy aside, closed her eyes, and gasped. A tingling sensation spread throughout her body, bringing a heavy wave of sleepiness.
She forced herself to sit up and walked out of the room with the toy, returning moments later slightly damp.
Without time for anything else, she tossed the round toy by the bedside, curled up under the covers, and closed her eyes.
As the saying goes, prolonged repression easily leads to perversion. Su Huaiwang, having been strictly disciplined by her parents since childhood, had no eccentric habits unacceptable to society, save for one harmless little hobby:
Masturbation.
Since living alone, this little hobby had become unrestrained. When she bought her first toy, her face was bright red with embarrassment and hesitation on the purchasing page. Now, she could place an order expressionlessly.
At the very least, after her sexual desires were satisfied, her sleep quality improved. Sleepless nights would temporarily spare her, and nightmares would arrive later.
But today seemed a little different.
Su Huaiwang didn’t realize she was dreaming. She only felt intense pain and unbearable longing. When she kissed the corner of that person’s lips, the other person was like a block of wood, offering no response whatsoever.
She was so anxious she almost cried. She wanted to hug the person, yet her limbs were not under her control.
The girl’s eyes shifted toward her, like warm amber slowly flowing.
Su Huaiwang had no time to worry about the confusion and doubt held within those beautiful eyes. She just struggled, like a small animal, to lick the corners of the other person’s lips.
The lips were as soft as they were in the real world, and Su Huaiwang couldn’t help but crave more. The other person finally moved, her soft lips slightly parting, allowing Su Huaiwang to get intimate.
Su Huaiwang, who had no previous experience, showed her timidity, daring only to circle the corner of the other’s mouth, afraid to advance further.
The beautiful girl slowly moved, pressing against her, tentatively sticking out the tip of her tongue to touch her.
Su Huaiwang was so excited she was nearly in tears. She opened her mouth but couldn’t make any sound, only relentlessly pursuing intimacy with the other person.
And so, the kiss finally became a kiss. The other person fully accepted her impatience, anxiety, and timidity, gently soothing her and intertwining with her. But it wasn’t enough. Su Huaiwang wanted more. She was like a young sprout tasting dew for the first time—confused yet greedy.
The other’s hand indulged her deepest desires, tracing a path from her earlobe down her neck, giving her a satisfaction that was both innocent and yet utterly overwhelming.
Su Huaiwang couldn’t tell if she was truly crying. She only remembered tightly embracing the soft body in her arms, like a drowning person clinging to driftwood. Her gasps were infinitely louder than her play before bed. Su Huaiwang bit the girl’s fair shoulder, convulsing from the girl’s movements. Physiological tears streamed down her flushed face, evaporating as they disappeared in the gap between the dream and wakefulness.
The girl was silent, submissive, and obedient; yet she was cold, indifferent, and intense—as if she had only come to fulfill Su Huaiwang’s desires, without any hidden thoughts of her own. But it was this dual contrast, felt both spiritually and physically, that made Su Huaiwang uncontrollably excited, so excited that the ascent to the peak was too fast and too long, preventing her from finally falling.
Thud—
Su Huaiwang was suddenly startled awake from the dream. The first thing her dazed mind registered was Da Hui, the wolfdog, squatting by her bed.
Seeing its owner awake, the dog immediately scrambled up and affectionately nudged her with its damp, black nose.
The temperature wasn’t high last night, so Su Huaiwang hadn’t turned on the air conditioner, leaving only a window open. This morning, she woke up completely covered in sweat.
More so than the sweat, there was something worse. Sensing the stickiness between her legs, her mood instantly soured.
Clearly, a wet dream was not without its traces.
Su Huaiwang took a deep breath, hysterically covering her face with both hands.
Someone save her! Had her sexual repression gotten so bad that she was now fantasizing about someone she had only met once?!
The doorbell rang, startling Su Huaiwang, who was immersed in self-loathing. She practically leaped out of bed, nearly stepping on two tails on the way.
The person ringing the doorbell was very polite, pressing it lightly only twice before patiently waiting at the door.
Su Huaiwang looked through the peephole and saw Lin Jue’s face, the very face that had appeared in her dream, and she was so shocked she nearly lost her soul.
She rushed back into her room and quickly dressed. The doorbell rang softly twice more during this time, and Su Huaiwang couldn’t hear any impatience in the sound.
The three small animals in the house gathered at the door. Little Huang barked twice, weakly, lacking its usual vigorous energy, as if some terrifying presence were outside. Da Hui, on the guard dog, looked ready for a major enemy. It usually avoided loud barking.
Su Huaiwang hurried back and forth in the house, simultaneously smoothing down her messy hair and pulling the door open.
“Hello.”
Lin Jue wasn’t wearing a hat today. Her black long hair was naturally draped, and the pale color in her eyes, filled with the faint shade of the sun, looked at her.
“Hello…” Su Huaiwang instinctively glanced back. The hands on the wall clock had just passed eleven: “Come in and sit.”
“I apologize, am I disturbing you?” The girl’s face showed genuine apology.
“Not at all.” It was her own fault for waking up so late. Usually, due to her sleep quality, she would wake up on her own around six or seven without an alarm. Who would have thought last night she would sleep exceptionally well? Could it be the effect of the wet dream…
Clack. Su Huaiwang set the teacup down on the table, the tea inside gently swaying.
“I’ve finished unpacking everything at home. As a neighbor, I thought it best to come over for a formal visit.”
Lin Jue didn’t look at the tea in front of her, her eyes following Su Huaiwang.
She took out a sachet: “I made this myself. It’s a gift. Keeping it at home can ward off insects and evil spirits.”
Su Huaiwang wondered if it was her imagination, but Lin Jue seemed to emphasize the word “evil spirits.”
Su Huaiwang accepted the sachet with hesitation, feeling a bit strange. As a materialist who had received compulsory education, she had never heard that a sachet could ward off evil.
Lin Jue seemed to sense her confusion and smiled: “It’s an ancestral family recipe. It has some herbs for dispelling evil and so on. Some things are better safe than sorry, so please keep it, Big Sister.”
“Thank you.”
When she shook the sachet, the scent of traditional Chinese herbs wafted beneath Su Huaiwang’s nose. Even if the anti-evil function wasn’t real, Su Huaiwang was willing to simply keep it in the house as an air freshener.
It had been a long time since Su Huaiwang had guests, and she was visibly flustered. Furthermore, having just had that dream last night made her feel even more awkward now. She kept picking up her tea to sip and hide her embarrassment.
Lin Jue seemed completely unaware of the awkwardness in the air, chatting with her casually about various topics.
“Does anyone else live on this mountain?” she asked.
“No. The village is down at the foot of the mountain, quite a distance from here, so honestly, it’s just the two of us here right now.” Su Huaiwang finished speaking and covertly glanced at Lin Jue’s expression.
She had expected the girl to be uneasy, but instead, she saw a smile.
“That’s good. It’s very quiet.” Lin Jue took a sip of tea, hiding the upturn of her mouth.
“There aren’t any particularly dangerous animals on this mountain, but there are wild boars occasionally, so you should be careful at home. Also…” Su Huaiwang paused: “There are a few idle, older bachelors in the village down below. Pretty girls like you need to be especially careful.”
As soon as she finished speaking, Su Huaiwang regretted it. It sounded like a lecture.
Fortunately, Lin Jue didn’t mind and instead asked: “What about Big Sister?”
“Me?”
“Yes, Big Sister is so beautiful. I feel like you need to pay even more attention to safety.” The girl smiled, showing two dimples at the corners of her mouth.
Su Huaiwang couldn’t help but laugh lightly; she was nowhere near as beautiful as the person in front of her.
“I have him.” Su Huaiwang patted Da Hui’s head beside her.
Da Hui gave his owner a determined look, then turned its head and stared fixedly at Lin Jue, as if she were the greatest danger.
“His name is Da Hui. He’s a wolfdog and a specially trained guard dog,” Su Huaiwang turned Da Hui’s head and rubbed his cheek: “She’s not a bad person, you don’t need to be so vigilant.”
Then, she looked up: “Want to pet him? He’s very well-behaved and won’t bite people casually.”
Lin Jue, who had been sidelong-glancing the wolfdog, withdrew her gaze: “Sure.”
Su Huaiwang watched Lin Jue reach out and immediately realized she had said the wrong thing. She looked at that beautiful hand, which had been sharply etched into her memory from the dream, and involuntarily swallowed, unsure if it was due to nervousness or something else.
Su Huaiwang felt she should slap herself to wake up.
The resurgence of self-loathing made her momentarily lose focus. By the time she snapped back, Lin Jue had already placed her hand loosely on top of Da Hui’s head, and Da Hui was baring his teeth, looking ready to bite.
“Da Hui!” Su Huaiwang cried out anxiously, pulling Lin Jue’s hand away: “No biting!”
The reprimanded Da Hui drooped its ears, looking pitiful.
“You can’t pet a dog when it’s showing its teeth. I’m sorry, he’s usually not like this. I don’t know what’s wrong with him today.” Su Huaiwang turned to apologize to Lin Jue. In fact, it wasn’t just Da Hui who was acting strangely; even Little Huang and Mimi were off. Mimi, who was usually so curious about strangers, was now hiding in some corner, and Su Huaiwang couldn’t find her even after circling the room a few times.
Su Huaiwang started to wonder if there was going to be an earthquake.
“It’s fine.” Lin Jue didn’t dwell on these small matters. She just lowered her head, her gaze fixed on their overlapping hands.
Su Huaiwang quickly let go of her hand and instinctively stepped back several paces, urgently widening the social distance.
“It’s getting late!” Su Huaiwang had never been so grateful that the clock was displayed right in the center of the living room, allowing her to instantly see the position of the hands.
A slightly disappointed look crossed Lin Jue’s face, and the words Su Huaiwang was about to say changed direction:
“How about you stay for lunch?”
