Seduced Me into a Deep Fall - Chapter 65
“You… you two…” Qi Zhen had too many questions swirling in her mind at that moment.
“Mom, drive,” Ling Xi quickly steadied her.
Dazed, Qi Zhen didn’t ask anything else after that.
But once they got home, Ling Xi would have to face triple the interrogation and scrutiny.
Right now, Ling Xi had no idea what was coming for her.
The moment they stepped inside, Qi Zhen’s first words were, “Honey! Our baby girl has a girlfriend!”
Watching Qi Zhen effortlessly snuggle up to Ling Jingqiu, Ling Xi couldn’t help but feel a pang of envy.
“Ah.” In the end, Ling Jingqiu didn’t say much.
“She’s grown up,” was all she remarked to her wife.
After all, Ling Xi was already an adult. Who she dated and what she did was her own choice.
Ling Jingqiu couldn’t control it, nor did she want to impose too many restrictions on her child in that regard.
“Mom…” Ling Xi tugged weakly at Ling Jingqiu’s sleeve.
“Be good, eat first. We’ll talk to you tonight.”
“Oh…”
At the dinner table, Lingyue kept making exaggerated faces at Ling Xi.
“What?” Ling Xi shot her a glare. “You definitely snitched to Mom again.”
“Hey, caring about my little sister doesn’t count as snitching!” Lingyue feigned innocence.
“I’m just curious about what your partner is like. And, little sis, you’ve been going out with friends all month without even a hint of makeup, then suddenly you raid Mom’s jewelry box and put it all on. Anyone could tell you were going on a date!”
“Fair point. But next time, knock before barging into my room!” Ling Xi was still fuming.
Ling Xi remembered the little stories she’d told Song Yi, as if she were coaxing a child.
Yet Song Yi seemed so mature, probably years older than her.
“Song-jie…” Ling Xi clutched Song Yi’s collar, her heart pounding wildly in the quiet moment.
She really liked this sister, didn’t she?
Even though they barely knew each other.
Just like how she had no idea why Song Yi had changed so much.
Maybe affection was like the wind just a fleeting sensation brought by summer.
It didn’t need too many reasons.
All that mattered was that, in this moment, Ling Xi could hear her own heartbeat. That was enough.
Only then did Song Yi realize Ling Xi meant to compensate her with a hug.
She had wanted something deeper…
But a hug was fine too.
She had yearned for this hug for a year. Missed this girl for a year.
During the most exhausting thirty-odd days, Song Yi had pushed through every night by thinking of Ling Xi.
Now, she finally had the chance to properly get to know Ling Xi and talk about a future together.
At the very least, they had officially met, even if they could only be friends.
“You treated me so many times last year. Let me take you out to eat today.”
When the hug grew almost too warm, Song Yi nuzzled Ling Xi’s hair near her ear and made the suggestion.
Ling Xi didn’t show any aversion to her affection instead, she nuzzled back.
“Sure. I still have some questions for you.” Ling Xi then stood up, about to reach for Song Yi’s hand.
Ahem. Ling Jingqiu stepped in just in time, stopping their playful antics. “Finish eating first.”
The two sisters immediately quieted down.
Ling Xi sped through the rest of her meal.
Arms crossed, she sat at the table, waiting for Lingyue to finish.
Lingyue , seeing this, deliberately ate at a leisurely pace.
Even after both their moms had finished, she was still eating.
“Xiaoyue, hurry up and eat. I have something to tell you both,” Ling Jingqiu tapped the table.
Under their mother’s intimidating aura, Lingyue had no choice but to lower her head and eat faster.
Song Yi’s tone carried a hint of disdain.
“I’m planning to start my own company. What do you say, little one? Want to join me?”
Ling Xi’s eyes immediately lit up. “Sure, sis! I’ve been worried about not having a job.”
Song Yi hugged her. “We’ll open a wife-and-wife shop. I’ve already thought about what we’ll do. The Tiancan Organization business kept holding me back before, and being in the system wasn’t convenient. Now that I’ve stepped down, it’s the perfect time to start our venture.”
After hearing Song Yi’s ideas, Ling Xi wasn’t sure what was trending in this timeline, but if Song Yi wanted to do it, she would definitely support her.
Before officially starting their business, Ling Xi and Lingyue first gathered evidence to prepare for Qi Zhen’s release.
“Who exactly is your wife? What’s she like? Is her work really that busy? I’ve never seen her spend time with you,” Lingyue quietly asked during a weekend at Song Yi’s place while they were organizing evidence and consulting with lawyers.
She also brought up matters from their previous life.
Ling Xi scoffed, Mu Xie actually thought they’d had sweet moments in their past life.
Mu Xie seemed to know Ling Xi wouldn’t want to hear it, saying a few words before apologizing.
In the end, she even told Ling Xi she was exhausted and didn’t want to take over Mu Xunzhi’s organization.
Ling Xi stared at those words for a long time.
She wasn’t sure if Mu Xie was trying to trick her.
Nor did she understand why Mu Xie had sent that message.
But if Mu Xie’s words were genuine…
Ling Xi sighed and typed out a reply:
[Let’s meet]
When Song Yi returned home, Ling Xi threw herself into her arms.
Meanwhile, Ling Jingqiu and Qi Zhen took the opportunity to question Ling Xi about Song Yi’s basic information.
“Do you know about her family situation?”
Ling Xi nodded. “Her name is Song Yi. She’s the chairman of Yihe Group.”
Hearing this, even Ling Jingqiu froze for half a second.
Qi Zhen was so shocked her soul nearly left her body.
“Yihe Group, it can’t be the one I’m thinking of, right?” Lingyue , arriving late, nearly dropped her jaw in shock.
Ling Xi nodded sheepishly.
“Oh my god, little sis, how can you be so calm around her? You, you even went into rut, you two didn’t, didn’t…?” Lingyue asked bluntly.
The two mothers sat nearby in complete silence.
“Mhm,” Ling Xi thought she was referring to kissing.
Ling Xi buried her face. “Stop asking, it’s so embarrassing!”
“You’ve only just started dating, right?” Lingyue clutched her forehead.
Ling Jingqiu once again took control, quieting Lingyue down.
Lingyue continued staring wide-eyed at her incredibly bold little sister.
“This matter… is partly our fault too. We didn’t teach you what to pay attention to beforehand,” Ling Jingqiu sighed.
“Xibao, you need to understand, you’re an alpha. When it comes to… those matters, you should be more careful than your girlfriend. Right now you have no income, no career, and your studies aren’t finished yet. You can’t be so reckless.”
“What would you do if you accidentally got her pregnant?”
Ling Xi was stunned. “What pregnancy?”
All three of them froze.
“It’s…” Qi Zhen stepped in to explain a few things to Ling Xi.
As she listened, Ling Xi suddenly let out an “Ah!” and pushed Qi Zhen away in mortified embarrassment.
“I thought you meant kissing! We didn’t do anything like that!” Ling Xi nearly cried from frustration.
“It’s only the first day of dating, how could this be, how could this…”
“And besides, I know you can’t just mark someone casually! I don’t want my sister to get hurt either.”
Lingyue felt her heart take a critical hit upon hearing that nickname.
She was no longer Ling Xi’s beloved older sister.
Ling Xi had another sister now.
“I ordered for them. I ordered for you too, but I’m not sure if you’ll like those dishes.” Ling Xi tried to intervene.
Ling Jingqiu’s attitude toward this potential daughter-in-law softened somewhat.
It seemed Song Yi must be serious about this relationship.
Otherwise, she wouldn’t have paid attention to all these little details.
But even knowing her daughter was a hopeless romantic, seeing Ling Xi like this still made Ling Jingqiu emotional.
Her baby had grown up so fast.
Qi Zhen felt even worse. Having messed up earlier today, she didn’t dare say another word.
“Let me see. Is this one for me?” Song Yi expertly picked out the dish Ling Xi had ordered for her from the spread.
Their heads leaned close together. For the first time, LLingyue found herself actually shipping them.
More than that, she wanted a relationship of her own.
So Lingyue took out her phone, opened her chat with Jiang Yuyang, secretly snapped a photo of Ling Xi and Song Yi, and sent it.
[Little sister, want to date?]
The reply came instantly, a single question mark.
Lingyue cringed at herself, quickly recalled the message, and put her phone away.
During the wait for food, Song Yi broke the slightly awkward silence.
“I know both mothers have concerns about me. That’s why you wanted to observe how Xiao Xi and I interact.”
Truth be told, realizing it was Ling Xi’s family who’d come had been a relief to Song Yi.
“That’s good to hear.” Both mothers visibly relaxed.
“A Zhen, you should give Xi Bao some guidance in this area. I’ll look into this Song Yi.”
Feeling somewhat reassured, Ling Jingqiu delegated the sex education talk to her wife.
After all, it made more sense for one alpha to teach another.
“Mom, we had health education classes at school.” Ling Xi tried to protest.
How embarrassing to have this kind of discussion.
“Did those classes teach you how to mark without getting an omega pregnant? How to please your partner? How to have harmonious intimacy?” Qi Zhen gave her daughter a look.
Ling Xi fell silent under the questioning.
“Do I have to listen too?” Lingyue piped up from singlehood.
“You’ll find someone eventually, won’t you?”
Lingyue shut up too.
While Qi Zhen gave the talk in the living room, Ling Jingqiu looked up Song Yi online.
One glance at Song Yi’s photo and she understood why Ling Xi was smitten.
Ling Xi shared her taste in women, Song Yi was exactly their type.
It wasn’t surprising Ling Xi liked her.
What puzzled Ling Jingqiu was why such a stunning woman would be interested in her Ling Xi.
Sure, Ling Xi was sweet and adorable. But as her mother, Ling Jingqiu had no illusions about her daughter’s looks.
All she knew was her baby girl was only eighteen, still inexperienced, still a child.
Could it be that wealthy women just liked innocent young girls?
Ling Jingqiu felt a growing unease.
Worried Song Yi might have questionable intentions, just playing around.
Their family didn’t raise their children that way, if Ling Xi was dating, she’d be serious about it.
She needed to meet Song Yi properly.
By the time Qi Zhen finished her lecture, Ling Xi was red as a roasted duck.
Qi Zhen even shared some reference materials with them.
Ling Xi received the file sent by Qi Zhen.
Stumbling back to her room.
She locked the door and told Lingyue to come back in two hours.
Lingyue , being much older and more adaptable, stayed in the living room discussing things with Qi Zhen.
Ling Xi sniffled.
At that moment, Song Yi sent her a message.
[“How about eating here tomorrow?”]
Ling Xi glanced at it casually. [“I want hotpot QAQ”]
Song Yi searched for another restaurant.
[“Sis…”] Ling Xi hesitated about whether to tell Song Yi about what happened to her today.
[“What’s wrong, sweetie? Did your mom give you a hard time?”] Song Yi didn’t quite understand how normal mother-daughter relationships worked. She just felt something was off when Qi Zhen took Ling Xi away earlier.
Jiang Yuyang felt dazed.
Her peripheral vision caught bits of information around her, but nothing could steady her mind.
It still troubled her heart.
[“Finally hitting a snag? Followed them for a year, not even a hug, so fake it’s laughable.”]
[“Em, I’m an old fan too, and I also feel their chemistry has been weird lately, doesn’t feel like a couple.”]
[“Just compare them to Yue-da and the rich sis. Real couples have that natural familiarity; they can’t fake it.”]
[“I’m just here for the pretty sisters. Honestly, even if they don’t kiss or say sweet nothings, just sitting together makes me happy.”]
Jiang Yuyang suddenly grabbed Lingyue ‘s sleeve.
Right. They were fake lovers, a contractual relationship, bound together for money and clout.
Lingyue didn’t like her.
Didn’t even know her feelings.
They had never hugged, never truly held hands, never shared an intimate kiss.
How would Lingyue know?
How could she keep this job?
This one chance to stay close to Lingyue .
With a choked sob, Jiang Yuyang suddenly pressed her lips against Lingyue ’s.
At worst, this was it.
They would drift apart bit by bit, until they became strangers again.
In her panic, Lingyue even found the presence of mind to flip the live-stream camera face down.
The viewers couldn’t see them anymore just darkness where the floor should be.
Ling Xi was steaming. [“It’s not that. They warned me not to mark you carelessly, to avoid pregnancy.”]
[“And then! They even taught me how to mark in a way that minimizes the risk…”]
This was beyond Song Yi’s knowledge.
This was something mothers taught…?
[“They also shared some materials with me… Sis, I’m kind of… not okay.”] Ling Xi sent a fainting emoji.
Song Yi was even more confused.
Materials? What materials?
The kind she was thinking of?
You could ask your mom for that?!
Song Yi called her on video.
“Sis…” Ling Xi answered weakly, visibly flushed and distressed.
“You okay?” Song Yi’s face appeared on the screen.
The moment Ling Xi saw her, she whimpered.
“Sweetie? What’s wrong?”
Ling Xi covered her face. “Sis, I miss you so much.”
She couldn’t help but recall what she’d just seen.
Her mind automatically replaced the people in those materials with herself and Song Yi.
Now, seeing Song Yi in person, her thoughts spiraled further.
Dizzy, Ling Xi felt warmth at the tip of her nose.
“Sweetie… I miss you too. Are you… having a nosebleed? Are you okay?”
Now Song Yi was certain what those “materials” were.
“Mm… Sister, I kind of…” Ling Xi hurriedly reached for a tissue.
“Want to try?” Song Yi finished her sentence for her.
Ling Xi leaned back, her face flushed, and nodded.
“But isn’t it a bit inappropriate…” She covered her burning cheeks, then sprang up from the chair back to look at Song Yi.
“If you think we should wait longer, then forget it…”
“Actually, I…” Song Yi was still too shy to say it outright. But since Ling Xi was being so bold, she needed to respond in kind.
“I kind of want to too.” She said it very softly. Video calls tend to degrade audio quality.
Ling Xi couldn’t quite hear clearly.
But looking at Song Yi’s expression, she suddenly understood what Song Yi meant.
“Really?” Ling Xi even started fanning herself.
“Mhm. I really like you, and I know I have those kinds of desires toward you. Also…”
Over the past year, Song Yi had lost count of how many times she’d dreamed of Ling Xi.
And how many of those were erotic dreams.
Song Yi didn’t finish. She simply couldn’t be as straightforward as Ling Xi.
Especially not when they weren’t face-to-face.
Perhaps if she saw Ling Xi in person and they hugged, she wouldn’t feel so awkward.
Ling Xi and she shared a bashful moment across the screen.
When Ling Xi caught her breath, she felt she might have gone too far just now.
“Sister, do you hate me for talking like this?”
Should she have been more reserved, or not brought it up at all?
She just liked Song Yi so much, and being young, she couldn’t keep things to herself, she wanted to share everything with her girlfriend.
“How could I? Sweetheart, don’t just assume I’d hate you. I like you so much.”
Song Yi made up her mind tomorrow, she’d show Ling Xi just how much she liked her.
“Then, then I’ll study up tonight! Tomorrow…”
“Tomorrow I’ll pick you up and bring you to my place.” Song Yi finalized their plans for the next day.
