Seduced Me into a Deep Fall - Chapter 64
Ling Xi fumbled to answer the phone. Song Yi was beside her and, seeing that she made no move to step away, inched a little closer.
“Hello, Mom.” Ling Xi obediently nestled into Song Yi’s embrace.
She had been going out with friends almost every day this past month and had already formulated an excuse in the five seconds it took to answer.
“Sweetheart, where are you? Why didn’t you pick up?” Qi Zhen’s voice came through the receiver.
Song Yi, who was right next to Ling Xi i, couldn’t hear clearly but still caught the unusually gentle tone in Qi Zhen’s voice.
“Mom, I was at the movies just now, so I didn’t hear it.”
“Oh, do you want to come home for dinner? Mommy’s already cooked. Should I come pick you up?”
Even after three years, she still hadn’t forgotten to look for Ling Xi .
“I asked Mu Jie about the ending of our past life before,” Ling Xi sighed.
On the eve of their wedding, she had woken up in the middle of the night, dragging Song Yi awake with her to recount her dream. It was a little.
“What she said wasn’t good. Kind of like a total wipeout.” Ling Xi didn’t want to go into too much detail. Talking about such things today felt somewhat inauspicious.
“It’s fine. It’s all in the past. Or rather, that’s not how things turned out for us. We’ll live happily together for the rest of our lives.” Song Yi didn’t seem bothered by it at all.
“Let me tell you another possibility,” Song Yi said, turning off the light and pressing a kiss to Ling Xi ’s ear. “A bedtime story.”
“Okay.”
If the Tiancan Organization had never existed.
Song Yi and Ling Xi would still have met that summer.
But Ling Xi wouldn’t have forgotten their past.
The summer when she turned eighteen would have been even more dazzling than before.
Ling Xi completed her long-delayed differentiation two months before the college entrance exams.
During the physical examination, she received an S-grade rating.
After the exams, Ling Xi spent the remaining three weeks of June having fun with her friends.
Ling Xi nodded, her ears reddening. “You, kissed me at the end back then. I didn’t have the courage to ask if you liked me, and I hadn’t figured out my own feelings either.”
“So? I thought I’d make it more formal when we met this year. But I didn’t expect we’d end up together today.”
While sending her mom her location, she quietly voiced her thoughts.
“You were still in school last year, and my situation was complicated too. Even if we’d confessed, we couldn’t have been together.” Song Yi shared her own concerns at the time.
“But I liked you so much, I was afraid you’d forget me, but we still couldn’t be together. That’s why I could only kiss you when we parted.”
Hearing this, Ling Xi smiled in relief. “This is good enough. We didn’t miss each other, and we just happened to avoid the busiest times in our lives.”
“Yeah. You’re free tomorrow too, right, Xi Bao?”
Ling Xi pinched Song Yi. “Why are you copying my mom?”
“My little sweetheart,” Song Yi immediately corrected herself.
“Little sweetheart, do you want to take a shower? Your mom probably won’t be here that soon, right?”
Only then did Ling Xi finally react. “Sis, is this your villa?”
“Yep. Let me take you to the bathroom.”
Ling Xi let herself be led downstairs.
A home theater in a four-story villa, Ling Xi glanced around at the lavish decor and, for the first time, clearly realized, she had landed herself a sugar mommy.
“It’s just a regular room for now. But I have an idea, to combine it with the adjacent room and turn it into an apartment-style suite. When we move in, even if the servants live in this building, it won’t be too inconvenient.”
Song Yi hugged Ling Xi while sharing her renovation plans.
This was an idea that had come to her during her free time, as she secretly pondered her future with Ling Xi.
In her imagination, she and Ling Xi would live together in a spacious villa. The servants would handle cleaning and cooking, but if they got hungry at night, she could still make midnight snacks for Ling Xi in the suite’s kitchen.
They wouldn’t even need to go downstairs to the living room to watch TV or grab snacks and water.
“Would it be troublesome?” Ling Xi thought it over, feeling a bit unsure about why they needed a villa in the first place.
“Not really. Just pay for it. But it’ll need remodeling, so we can’t move in right away.” Song Yi turned on the faucet for her and tested the water temperature.
Her mind wandered, imagining that soon, she might be able to do all sorts of things with her adorable girlfriend here.
“The only downside with villas is that the bathroom and bedroom aren’t in the same room.”
Ling Xi nodded in agreement.
Two minutes later.
“Big sis…” Ling Xi felt slightly awkward seeing Song Yi still hadn’t left.
Song Yi tensed for a moment. She took three deep breaths before finally walking toward the door.
She opened it to find a middle-aged woman with an outstanding presence.
Her eyes and brows bore a clear resemblance to Ling Xi’s. Though the shape of her nose and lips differed, one could still glimpse what Ling Xi might look like in the future.
“Hello, Auntie.” Song Yi greeted her politely and ushered her inside.
“Didn’t Xiao Xi say she was watching a movie?” Qi Zhen found it a little strange.
According to Lingyue, Ling Xi was supposed to be out on a secret date today.
So… was this young woman in front of her Xiao Xi’s date?
Qi Zhen’s eyes instantly lit up.
Song Yi had no idea what this mother was thinking and felt slightly flustered.
She had never been this nervous, not even when dealing with the troublesome elders in her family.
“We were watching a movie. I have a private screening room upstairs.”
Qi Zhen had initially wanted to put this date at ease, she fully supported her daughter’s freedom in love.
Especially if it meant Ling Xi finally found a girlfriend, even if it was just for fun.
Unlike Lingyue, who was still single at twenty-five or twenty-six never having been in a relationship.
But upon hearing this, Qi Zhen took a closer look at the young woman before her.
Her speech, demeanor, and attire all indicated she came from an extraordinary background.
And the villa’s interior decor, the furniture everything was top-tier luxury.
Had her precious Xiao Xi been tricked by a wealthy older woman?
“Is this your villa?” Qi Zhen withdrew her gaze and looked at Song Yi, her earlier excitement fading.
“Yes, Auntie.”
“Then… where’s Xiao Xi?” Qi Zhen finally realized her beloved daughter hadn’t come to greet her.
She hadn’t answered her calls either.
Had she been hidden away by some villainous woman?!
Qi Zhen’s mind instantly conjured up countless dramatic scenarios of a wealthy tycoon forcibly taking her poor daughter.
“She’s taking a shower.” Song Yi, facing her girlfriend’s parent for the first time, answered with complete honesty.
Qi Zhen was stunned by this response, her mouth hanging open in shock.
“What? what did you two do?!” Two minutes later, the overprotective mother let out a shriek.
Ling Xi had just finished showering and was coming downstairs when she heard her mother’s frantic scream, startling her so much she nearly tumbled down the steps.
Qi Zhen spotted her and immediately rushed over, grabbing her hands to inspect her thoroughly.
“Sweetheart, are you okay?”
Ling Xi was baffled. “Mom, how did you even get in here? What could possibly be wrong?”
Seeing that Ling Xi looked perfectly healthy, her cheeks flushed, her skin still damp with no suspicious marks whatsoever, Qi Zhen finally relaxed a little.
“Mom was just worried about you! How could you just casually visit someone else’s house without telling me?”
Two young girls alone one Alpha, one Omega and Ling Xi had just finished her differentiation. Not to mention, that Omega was stunningly beautiful. It was hard for Qi Zhen not to let her imagination run wild.
“Do I really need to report every time I visit a friend? You’re way too strict, Mom.” Ling Xi grew even more confused.
She had no idea what Song Yi had told her mother, so she shot Song Yi a questioning glance.
“Well, but she’s a beautiful Omega, and your gland is still unstable after differentiation. If you’d told me earlier, I could’ve prepared suppressants for you,” Qi Zhen probed carefully.
She noticed Ling Xi’s gaze flicker downward involuntarily.
Oh. No.
That reaction alone meant these two were dangerously close to crossing a line.
Please don’t let her precious child recklessly mark an innocent Omega and end up with a baby on the way.
Her villa renovation plans might need to be moved up.
She’d have to arrange for Ling Xi to move out and live with her after her freshman year.
Meanwhile, things weren’t going as smoothly for Ling Xi.
Qi Zhen was clearly not a mother who could be easily fooled.
Ling Xi was still dazed.
Had their first time really lasted five or six hours?
Song Yi was exhausted all over, leaning against Ling Xi’s back, occasionally letting out soft, half-asleep murmurs.
Ling Xi’s hands were the ones suffering she didn’t even want to think about how sore her arms would be tomorrow.
She’d probably used her hands more in those few hours than she had copying summer homework.
“Hungry?” Song Yi asked after resting for a while.
Her voice was slightly hoarse and still a little unclear, a far cry from her usual morning tone.
That husky, languid quality made Ling Xi’s mind drift back to everything that had just happened.
“Yeah,” she admitted. In more ways than one.
“Hot pot again? Or should I have someone deliver the ingredients and a pot?”
Song Yi was feeling lazy. “Delivery. We still need to clean up.”
“Sure. Want me to carry you?” Ling Xi tried to act tough.
Song Yi pinched her arm. “Still got energy, huh? Youth really is something.”
If only Qi Zhen hadn’t seen Song Yi.
But she had and worse, she now knew the two might have entered a special phase, which was why Ling Xi had gone to shower.
Qi Zhen couldn’t hold back any longer.
“Sweetheart, be honest with Mom. Do you like that pretty older sister?”
Ling Xi decided to drop the act. “Mom, she’s my girlfriend.”
