Savage Kiss - Chapter 35
A seemingly simple sentence made Xu Qingyi’s heart tremble.
Because she really did like his hands.
She wondered, was he so flirtatious tonight because she had restrained him before? Had he been suppressing his true nature?
Shen Sijin couldn’t get a word in, so she glanced at Xu Qingyi and asked, “Sister, are you done peeling? Maybe you could move over there?”
Xu Qingyi happened to be blocking Shen Sijin, making it impossible for her to interact with Shen Yanzhou.
As a service staff member, Xu Qingyi had no reason to refuse such a reasonable request.
Shen Yanzhou’s gaze darkened as he lifted his eyes to look at her.
She could only pretend not to notice, carrying the plate to the other side.
Shen Sijin stopped her. “Hey, sister, no need to take the shrimp away. You’ve been peeling for so long, you must be tired. Let me handle it.”
Xu Qingyi realized she meant she would feed Shen Yanzhou herself.
Her eyes, visible above the mask, curved politely in a smile. “Alright.”
Then her job here was done.
Xu Qingyi didn’t bother checking Shen Yanzhou’s expression. She said goodbye to Yong Ge, wrapped up her work, and headed to wash her hands before leaving.
The restaurant’s restroom seemed to have been renovated now divided into two rooms, one labeled “Public” and the other “Private.”
Just as Xu Qingyi was about to push open the door to the public restroom, a figure appeared behind her and smoothly guided her into the private one.
The moment his arm wrapped around her waist from behind, she knew it was him.
Shen Yanzhou’s expression was no different than usual, his tone just as casual. “Do me a favor.”
Xu Qingyi’s back was pressed against the door, though his hand acted as a buffer, she couldn’t move forward or backward, hovering in place. “What?”
Perhaps because she had lowered her head slightly, Shen Yanzhou bent down as well. “Did you bring lipstick?”
Why was he leaning in so close? She couldn’t stand the proximity.
Keeping her composure, Xu Qingyi turned her face slightly. “No.”
Shen Yanzhou raised his hand, looking like he was about to remove her mask.
She immediately pressed it back down. She’d been in a hurry when she left today and had done her makeup quickly, applying her lipstick a bit too thickly. It might look like a bloody mess, she didn’t want to scar him for life.
“I didn’t wear any,” she lied without batting an eye.
Shen Yanzhou smirked. “With makeup this heavy and no lipstick? You think I’ve never seen a woman wear makeup before?”
Her mask was still pulled off.
Then he just stood there, gaze lowered, quietly studying her for a few seconds.
Xu Qingyi frowned. “If you’re going to wipe it off, hurry up.”
Shen Yanzhou’s Adam’s apple bobbed, his voice low and slightly unsteady. “It looks good.”
“…?”
She thought he was being sarcastic, but his eyes said otherwise.
Shen Yanzhou wasn’t joking. Her face, even without makeup, had striking features, naturally beautiful in a pure way. With heavy makeup, it took on a different kind of allure.
“Kiss me,” he said.
Xu Qingyi blinked at him, unsure if this was inappropriate or just oddly timed.
“Are you using it to reject someone?” she asked.
Shen Yanzhou nodded firmly, then tilted his head and tugged at his collar, gesturing for her to kiss his neck.
Xu Qingyi pressed her lips together. “Pick another spot.”
She liked that place too much, afraid she’d get greedy.
Shen Yanzhou chuckled. “Want to kiss my abs? I can’t just walk around lifting my shirt like some exhibitionist, can I?”
The remark made Xu Qingyi laugh. Fair point.
With one hand, she tugged his collar slightly, while the other rested on his shoulder. Rising onto her tiptoes, she left a lipstick mark for him.
Every time she kissed him, Xu Qingyi had the urge to take a deep breath or even give him a little bite.
She struggled to hold back and was about to pull away.
But Shen Yanzhou suddenly cupped the back of her head, pressing her slightly closer with a bit of force.
He showed no intention of letting go, his gaze fixed unabashedly on her lips.
His thumb brushed over her lips, smearing away some of her lipstick, which he then wiped onto his own collar.
Then he leaned in to kiss her, hard, possessive, as if he wanted to devour her completely.
Tonight, her initiative in asking and explaining had caught Shen Yanzhou off guard.
So, he couldn’t resist the impulse.
He also proactively shared his schedule with her. “I’ll be going on a business trip in a few days. It’ll be a while.”
Xu Qingyi’s mind was still hazy from the kiss, so his words barely registered.
What did it have to do with her?
Shen Yanzhou’s eyes locked onto her. “Given your frequency, if I’m gone for a month or so…”
“Reciprocity… you’ve been feeding me all night. Shouldn’t I return the favor before I leave?”
Shen Yanzhou really wanted to get drunk tonight, but he was afraid of scaring her. She had finally started to let her guard down.
Xu Qingyi finally confirmed, he really knew how to flirt.
She could openly show her infatuation with him; the initiative was hers. But when he took the lead, it was a different story.
She wanted sex, not love.
So, she smiled. “If I really can’t hold back, can’t I just find someone else?”
Shen Yanzhou inhaled sharply.
Then he chuckled lightly. “I have to clarify in advance whether I can pursue other women. Are you sure you don’t have sexual hang-ups and can actually find someone else?”
Fine, he saw right through her.
Xu Qingyi bluntly said she had plenty of toys.
At that, Shen Yanzhou’s expression became indescribable.
After a long pause, he asked slowly, “A lot?”
Xu Qingyi averted her gaze slightly. “Just saying.”
She didn’t want to discuss her work with him too much. It was better to let him keep thinking she scraped by with odd jobs and part-time gigs.
Shen Yanzhou straightened up slightly, letting her off the hook. “Anyway, I’m not leaving for a few more days. We’ll talk about it then.”
Xu Qingyi washed her hands, grabbed a tissue, and headed out.
“Aren’t your legs cold?” he asked again.
Of course, the walk back from the restaurant was cold, but she could endure it.
“I still have some business to discuss. I’ll have someone take you back.”
Xu Qingyi stopped. “Did you forget our agreement?”
Their relationship was to remain between the two of them: no third parties.
Shen Yanzhou sighed helplessly. “Then I’ll take you myself.”
Xu Qingyi refused again, and he couldn’t persuade her otherwise.
But as she reached the dimly lit corner near the restaurant entrance, Shen Yanzhou wrapped his long coat around her.
Xu Qingyi walked briskly and made it back to the yacht in just five or six minutes.
She checked herself in the mirror, her makeup was bold, her lipstick smeared as if it had survived a fierce battle, a complete mess.
After washing up and changing, she played a couple of rounds of games as usual, only to lose.
It seemed her focus had been thrown off.
