Savage Kiss - Chapter 34
Shen Sijin immediately shook her head. “No way!”
He was just too handsome, exuding a charm from within that none of the boys on campus could ever imitate.
Xu Qingyi knew what Shen Sijin was thinking, she had seen her ask Shen Yanzhou for his WeChat. It was only natural.
But she really had no reason to tag along for dinner.
Xu Qingyi walked back to the yacht, taking her time until it got dark to avoid anyone seeing where she lived.
The shore was dimly lit, with only small night lights near the yacht.
It wasn’t until she was right in front of it that Xu Qingyi noticed Shen Yanzhou standing there, startling her.
“What are you doing here?”
Shen Yanzhou hadn’t changed his clothes, his gloves tucked into his pocket. “Just came to grab something.”
He followed behind her as they boarded the yacht one after the other. Xu Qingyi returned to the lounge and handed him the spare keys.
Shen Yanzhou went to the stern to retrieve a bag, then returned the keys to her.
As she took them, Xu Qingyi called out to stop him.
He only turned his head, not his body, as if in a hurry to leave.
So, Xu Qingyi asked directly, without hesitation, “Shen Sijin is probably your type, right? If she asks for your WeChat later, will you give it to her?”
Shen Yanzhou seemed to smirk. “You know me so well… how do you know I’d like her?”
Shen Sijin had a great figure, well-proportioned, with a delicate and pretty face. Even Xu Qingyi found her appealing.
In terms of physique alone, aside from certain areas not being as ample or as slender as hers, she was definitely his type.
Because he enjoyed being with her, didn’t that mean he liked her body?
If a girl was that forward, and given how easy it was for women to pursue men, what if the two of them hit it off? She’d have to cut things off with him. Boundaries were necessary.
Still, she voiced her thoughts plainly. “Just asking. If you get involved with someone else, I won’t…”
Shen Yanzhou turned fully toward her, flipping the question back. “So, do you want me to get involved with someone else or not?”
Xu Qingyi paused. “How would I know?”
Shen Yanzhou: “Then why ask if you don’t know?”
Xu Qingyi: “…”
She took two steps forward, explaining, “I didn’t mean to embarrass you earlier.”
Originally, it was supposed to be just the two of them collaborating to photograph the inside of the pipeline. But she had suddenly called Shen Sijin over, and only later did Xu Qingyi realize it might have seemed inappropriate.
To an outsider, it might have looked like she was undermining him.
She spoke honestly. “Right now, I don’t have much resistance against you.”
“Not just earlier when you were only in swimwear, sometimes even your gaze or the way you carry yourself can tease me, and I just…”
Shen Yanzhou quite enjoyed hearing this, leaning in with amusement. “When have I ever teased you? Isn’t it always you doing the teasing?”
But if she put it that way, he could play along.
Shen Yanzhou left without answering her question, instead throwing one back at her:
“From the sound of it, if I don’t give my WeChat to others, does that mean I can tease you? In private.”
Xu Qingyi had never considered that before.
While showering, she thought about it. If it was purely casual, without veering into romance, then yes.
A little flirtation could easily spark her inspiration.
She sent Shen Yanzhou a reply, just one word: [Sure.]
Shen Yanzhou was sitting at the table when his phone buzzed. He pulled it out and glanced at the screen.
The next second, the wine glass and chopsticks beside his hand clattered to the floor.
The manager, Yong Ge, hurried over. “What happened? Are you hurt?”
Shen Yanzhou flipped his phone over, brushing off the spilled wine. “It’s nothing. Just slipped.”
He stood up and went outside to light a cigarette, his fingertips actually trembling slightly, like a young boy who had just been given permission by his crush to like her.
Lowering his head, he took out his phone and deftly opened her part-time account: [Need a crab sheller, urgent.]
Xu Qingyi rushed to the private room without delay.
At a glance, she saw Shen Sijin chatting with the manager, Yong Ge. “Yong Ge, what kind of girls does Shen Yanzhou like?”
Yong Ge smiled. “I don’t know about that. He’s a tough one, most girls aren’t a match for him, and few dare to get close anyway.”
“Hey, Brother Zhou?” Yong Ge glanced toward the door.
“Hmm.” Shen Yanzhou returned from outside, phone in hand, casually slipping one hand into his pocket as his gaze swept over Xu Qingyi.
Before coming out, she had quickly applied heavy makeup and wore a mask, so no one in the room, not even Shen Sijin, recognized her.
Shen Sijin sat right next to Shen Yanzhou, asking him with innocent earnestness, “Brother Shen, I don’t know how to drink. Is this one good?”
Shen Yanzhou leaned back slightly, his peripheral vision just catching Xu Qingyi. “What’s so great about alcohol?”
A faint smile flickered in Shen Sijin’s eyes, seemed he really did like the pure, innocent type, the kind who didn’t drink or party.
“You’re right. If you don’t like it, then I won’t drink either.”
Shen Yanzhou glanced at her, his expression clearly saying: What does that have to do with me?
Yong Ge chuckled beside them. If Shen Yanzhou actually took a liking to this girl tonight, would he count as a hero? Would the contract negotiations go smoother?
But then Shen Yanzhou did something unexpected. He looked at the crab sheller and nodded at the girl. “Come here.”
Xu Qingyi hesitated, unsure what he wanted, there were so many people around.
The moment she approached, Shen Yanzhou asked, “Aren’t your legs cold?”
It was the middle of winter, and she was wearing stockings. Had she rushed out in too much of a hurry?
Xu Qingyi smiled politely, deliberately pitching her voice higher to avoid being recognized. “It’s warm inside, bro!”
Bro?
Shen Yanzhou’s expression paused for a moment before he looked at her with an amused smirk. “Pretty face, and such a sweet voice too.”
Yong Ge: Wait, Brother Zhou is usually so restrained, why is he suddenly flirting today?
Shen Sijin was a little displeased, shooting a glance at the crab sheller. What was so great about her?
Aside from her long legs, fair skin, and well-proportioned figure.
Xu Qingyi felt Shen Yanzhou was doing this on purpose. She had said she could flirt but only in private. Had he forgotten his own problem? Only remembered her answer?
Shen Yanzhou watched her. “I heard you can also feed people?”
Xu Qingyi was about to coldly refuse when Shen Yanzhou raised his plaster-casted hand. “I’m not very mobile. Do me a favor.”
At least he was polite.
Xu Qingyi’s guilt toward him was instantly manipulated.
She shelled two large plates, everyone else helped themselves, but Shen Yanzhou had her feed him.
While the others were drinking and making merry, he would lean in slightly to compliment her, “Your hands are beautiful too?”
Xu Qingyi: “…”
Then, in an even lower voice, he added, “My hands are nice too.”
