- Reincarnated as a Sickly Princess, She was Kidnapped by the Evil Dragon Lady
- Chapter 10 - Don't Mess Around...
The Dragon’s disappearance went unnoticed by all the commoners outside the Palace, except for the few conscious individuals who remained inside.
Shortly after the Dragon vanished, the petrified figures within the Magic Array began to slowly revert to their original state. Those who had been flung to the ground unconscious by the Dragon’s tail also started to awaken.
Inside the Royal Palace, Rodas, Eldest Brother Gabriel, and Third Brother Ethan, who had been preparing to confront the Dragon but had mysteriously fainted at the entrance, now groggily climbed to their feet, their faces blank with confusion as they surveyed their surroundings.
“Wait, the Dragon!” Rodas exclaimed, his mind snapping back to the task at hand after his brief lapse of consciousness.
Rodas’s words jolted the others awake. After a brief exchange of glances, the trio charged out of the Palace.
When the three rushed out of the Palace, they found the crowd just beginning to rise from the ground, still reeling from the recent events. The Palace itself was half-destroyed, reduced to little more than rubble and shattered walls.
“This…”
Rodas tried to speak, but the sheer volume of information flooding his mind caused a sharp pain to shoot through his head. He lowered his head and leaned against a nearby wall.
After a long moment, Rodas finally recovered.
“What… what exactly happened here?”
Rodas stared at the scene before him, disbelief and despair warring in his eyes. For the first time in his reign, the king felt a surge of panic.
But he quickly forced himself to calm down and began ordering others to survey the battlefield.
If Rodas had known that this inexplicable attack had claimed no lives, only the disappearance of his youngest daughter, how would his mood have changed?

At that moment, Illycia was held in the Dragon’s claw, unconscious from shock.
Even in her unconscious state, something inside Illycia’s body seemed to crack halfway, emitting a crisp, clear sound.
Simultaneously, a flood of images surged through Illycia’s mind.
These scenes unfolded before her eyes like memories from the body’s original owner, playing out one after another.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Illycia had witnessed the entirety of the original owner’s brief yet seemingly tragic life.
The original Illycia had indeed lived as she had learned from her parents and siblings: confined to the same unchanging room, waking each day to the eternally crimson ceiling.
With such a bleak and predictable existence, it was no wonder the original Illycia had taken her own life.
Now that Illycia understood this, she couldn’t help but feel a pang of sympathy for the original owner.
Though she had never lacked food or drink, her life spent entirely in darkness was clearly the price she had paid.
And now, this marked Illycia’s first true departure from the Palace in over two decades—a rather pitiful circumstance, all things considered.
What a pity. I was captured by a dragon the moment I arrived in this world. I’m probably already eaten by now…
Illycia was immersed in darkness, her mind drifting unconsciously as she sighed softly.
Just arrived in this world and already dead…
Illycia had barely set foot in this world when she encountered a dragon invasion—a phenomenon that occurred only once every thousand years.
And of all the people the dragon could have captured, it had singled her out.
As she pondered this, Illycia finished absorbing the original memories, her consciousness fully returning.
Yet she still hesitated to open her eyes, fearing she might find herself in the dragon’s stomach or still trapped in her original room.
Neither outcome appealed to her.
“I know you’re awake. Stop pretending to be asleep.”
A cold yet melodious female voice suddenly spoke beside her, startling Illycia slightly.
With a start, Illycia opened her eyes.
Hmm… Not in the dragon’s stomach, nor under that familiar ceiling. That’s definitely good news.
But who was calling her?
Illycia turned her amethyst-like eyes toward the speaker beside her.
When Illycia focused her gaze on the figure, she couldn’t help but be struck by their breathtaking beauty.
A pair of sharp, slightly disdainful phoenix eyes, combined with delicate, gentle cheeks and striking waist-length purple hair, created an unforgettable impression.
Most striking of all, the stranger’s pupils shared the same amethyst-like hue as her own.
Yet their gaze held a far greater arrogance.
“You… who are you?”
Despite her awe at the stranger’s beauty, Illycia remained wary as she questioned the unfamiliar figure.
“The dragon who captured you,” the stranger replied, as if to prove their claim, a pair of wings identical to those of the dragon she had seen earlier materialized from their back, though noticeably smaller in size.
Illycia’s eyes widened in shock at this revelation. She scrambled off the bed, retreating hastily.
“Whoa, don’t eat me! I… just created this new account! Don’t mess with it—”
Seeing that the person before her was indeed the dragon who had captured her, Illycia panicked and began rambling incoherently.
Meanwhile, the dragon who had transformed into a young woman stood silently watching Illycia’s bizarre reaction. She quietly retracted her wings, then left the room without a word.
Illycia waited for a long time, but there was no sound. Finally, she peeked cautiously ahead.
The person who had been standing right in front of her had vanished.
Relieved, Illycia lowered her hands and began carefully surveying her surroundings.
Only after confirming that the dragon who had taken human form had left did her heart finally stop pounding.
“Phew… I thought I was done for…”
Illycia collapsed against the headboard of the bed, as if she had just escaped the jaws of a tiger.
“But… where am I?”
As she spoke, she began examining the room.
The decor was unbelievably luxurious, with furniture seemingly inlaid with gold everywhere.
However, Illycia’s focus wasn’t on the opulence, but rather on the room’s extreme confinement and the tightly locked windows.
Seeing this, she decided to get out of bed and try to open a window. She reached the edge of the bed, but after fumbling around for a while, she couldn’t find any shoes. With no other choice, she stepped barefoot onto the floor.
Fortunately, the carpet kept the floor from being too cold.
