- Chapter 33 - Laying the Cards on the Table
This request was not too presumptuous; at least, it was better than some of the outrageous demands made by certain benefactors. Song Qingxing nodded.
She toyed with her slightly curly long hair and leaned in, reaching out to tap Xie Jingcheng’s smooth, delicate chin.
“What kind of photos?”
“Let me think. Could they be extremely explicit bedroom photos that would make people furious?”
Many celebrities had been caught in similar situations before, so Song Qingxing was naturally very cautious about this. However, she believed that the photos in Xie Jingcheng’s phone would be quite safe.
Besides, even if someone did manage to get their hands on them, it was unlikely anyone would dare to report it, as the eldest daughter of the Xie family was involved. Could someone really put a mosaic over Xie Jingcheng’s face? That would be utterly ridiculous.
“No…”
“I am not that despicable.”
Xie Jingcheng closed her eyes, seemingly imagining Song Qingxing naked on her light-gray, silky bed.
But these were just thoughts, and she would absolutely not do that. She only needed to take one or two intimate photos—the kind where their faces were touching. She wouldn’t take any more inappropriate action.
“You just need to get close to me. I usually don’t do this kind of thing with other people.”
Xie Jingcheng’s ears were slightly flushed, yet she still felt the need to explain. Song Qingxing merely smiled upon hearing this, realizing how pure the renowned actress Xie was. It seemed it was time for her to tease the other party.
So, she reached out and wrapped her arms around the other’s neck.
A delicate fragrance assailed her senses, making her feel uneasy.
“How can that be enough?”
“Just a picture of our faces touching—no one would be upset by that, right?”
Song Qingxing reached out and tapped the tip of Xie Jingcheng’s nose, patiently offering her suggestion: Why don’t we go for something a little more intense?
“I’m not afraid if the pictures get out anyway.”
Song Qingxing tilted her neck back, her porcelain-white throat tinged with pink. Clinging to the person so recklessly, she was the spitting image of Daji seducing King Zhou of Shang.
Her lips bit at the other’s earlobe, and the hot breath surrounded the side of the other’s face.
“I want to take some more provocative photos with you.”
Some people are only bold with their words, but would actually chicken out if they were to really go through with it.
Song Qingxing was one of them. Although she said this, she actually didn’t have the guts.
After teasing her, she released her hold, wondering to herself if Xie Jingcheng would really play very rough.
If she wanted to wear clothes with big holes, she wouldn’t agree!
Of course, these were just thoughts, and Song Qingxing didn’t say a word, allowing Xie Jingcheng’s face to turn scarlet.
Raindrops splattered against the car window, making a “pitter-patter” sound. The driver drove slowly, as caution was necessary on a rainy day.
After turning a few corners, they arrived at the underground parking lot. The car door opened, and Song Qingxing stepped out first, followed closely by Xie Jingcheng.
The two entered the elevator together.
Xie Jingcheng hesitated for a long time, but finally agreed to Song Qingxing’s suggestion. She took a deep breath and then spoke.
“Qingxing, you’re right. Perhaps I should use a more stimulating method, but this…”
“This doesn’t seem appropriate.”
Taking off clothes and posing—anyone who didn’t know better would think she was a pervert.
“What’s wrong with it?”
Song Qingxing tilted her head, watching the rising numbers on the elevator display. In a moment, they would reach the room. Opening the door revealed the familiar decor.
“Xie Jingcheng, you’re quite interesting. You pay to keep me, but you don’t do anything. If you continue like this, I’ll feel like I’m useless.”
Song Qingxing was speaking the truth.
Xie Jingcheng always thought she was a little white rabbit, unaware that having been reborn, she had already regarded Xie Jingcheng as the ultimate prey to hunt.
Such a good family background, such excellent character—if she didn’t make a move, who would she leave her to?
She certainly couldn’t let An Wenqing, that irritable, pampered young lady, succeed. That would be too much of a loss for herself.
“Alright then…”
Xie Jingcheng took a deep breath, then pulled out her phone and led the person to the edge of the bedroom bed. The curtains were drawn, leaving only a small corner exposed.
Even if someone tried to secretly photograph them from the outside, they would only be able to capture the end of the bed. Moreover, this was a very high floor. Without an extremely good camera, even if a lens were set up in the building opposite, they wouldn’t be able to capture anything.
The room grew dim, with only a sliver of sunlight remaining.
Xie Jingcheng began to unbutton her shirt. She had an excellent figure, better than that of some athletes.
She looked slender in clothes and muscular without them.
Song Qingxing barely dared to look, a burning heat rising from her neck all the way to the tips of her ears. But she remembered her main task, so she also reached out, her fingers trembling as she started to unbutton her own clothes.
“You don’t have to. I am enough on my own. Since I’m the one asking you, I shouldn’t let you sacrifice so much, Qingxing.”
Xie Jingcheng’s fingers trembled, but she still pulled Song Qingxing’s shirt closed. To take this kind of photo, only one person needed to be undressed.
“Really?”
“But, Xie Jingcheng, if you take yours off and I don’t, won’t it look too much like a posed picture?”
Song Qingxing questioned her, but Xie Jingcheng still shook her head and then said something that sounded either mocking or dismissive.
“We don’t need it to be that realistic; we’re not shooting a movie. Wenqing won’t be able to tell the difference.”
Was she mocking her best friend?
However, Song Qingxing didn’t pursue the matter further. She would just do as her benefactor asked. Once she was done dealing with Xie Jingcheng, she would have to enter the film crew for shooting.
She wouldn’t see her for several months then. She hoped that Xie Jingcheng wouldn’t think she was providing inadequate service.
The half-unbuttoned shirt was alluring. Song Qingxing fell onto the soft gray bed. This was not her room but Xie Jingcheng’s.
The actress’s room was not as luxurious as one might imagine. Besides a cat-themed alarm clock hanging on the wall, there was only a simple dressing table and furniture.
However, there were quite a few green plants: a lemon tree, a Monstera deliciosa, and a hanging basket nailed to the wall.
She hadn’t expected Xie Jingcheng to live such a poetic life.
Xie Jingcheng was completely naked. Song Qingxing glanced at her against the light, feeling a surge of heat in her blood, and her nose felt hot—she nearly got a nosebleed.
She quickly reached up to cover it.
She had been an actress for so many years and had seen plenty of sensational scenes, but she had certainly never seen a scene this sensational!
Clutching the gray quilt, Song Qingxing quickly covered Xie Jingcheng.
“Hurry up and take the pictures…”
Song Qingxing had originally thought that “laying the cards on the table” would take at least a month or two, but she hadn’t expected it to happen so fast.
It was so fast that it was a little hard for her to accept.
“Mm.”
Xie Jingcheng nodded.
She pulled out her phone and found an angle. This angle wouldn’t expose any sensitive areas but was sufficiently alluring.
Just one or two pictures would be enough.
After taking the photos, Xie Jingcheng stood up, picked up her shirt, and put it back on.
“Thank you for your trouble.”
“Wenqing shouldn’t put these photos online, and even if she does, I will have people stop it beforehand.”
“You don’t need to worry.”
To resolve the problem quickly without destroying the relationship between the two families, Xie Jingcheng could only resort to some more special and radical measures.
