- Reborn as the Black Moonlight of the Male Lead in a Wish-Fulfillment Novel
- Chapter 9 - The Old Father Sighs: Indeed, Dragons Are Lustful by Nature
Facing a delicate-looking child of seven or eight, Xiao Nian remained unmoved, taking turns tormenting that small face and plump tail.
While the male lead was fussing with his tail, Shu Chen covered his face with his clothes, utterly devoid of life.
Fortunately, after resisting many times, he gradually mastered the technique of controlling his tail.
“Smack!”
The tail escaped from Xiao Nian’s grasp and whipped across his face. Xiao Nian’s head immediately spun, and his gaze toward Shu Chen turned hostile.
After all, as a divine beast, his strength was not to be underestimated. The first time Shu Chen’s parents met was because Su Yang had grown tired of humanity’s hypocrisy, ran to a desolate mountain region, transformed into his true form, and went on a rampage. One sweep of his tail leveled several mountains, directly burying Shu Chi, who had been searching for spiritual herbs on the mountain beneath the rubble.
Shu Chen glared back without backing down.
Xiao Nian’s head buzzed. This was rebellion.
He forcefully lifted the scales at the tip of the tail and, as the child inhaled sharply, stroked upward against the grain.
The scales flipped in the wrong direction quickly returned to normal, pressing tightly against the flesh, but the damage from the reverse-scale stroke didn’t disappear. The tail burned with pain, and the child’s beautiful eyes instantly filled with involuntary tears.
Seeing this, Xiao Nian’s anger dissipated, and even the resentment from the little pervert whipping him earlier was mostly canceled out.
He released the tail, letting the child hug it to his chest. If he weren’t watching, he suspected the little pervert might blow on the tail.
His calloused fingers had just touched the corner of the child’s eye when Shu Chen slapped his hand away.
Xiao Nian looked at his reddened hand for a moment, then scooped the child, who had curled up hugging his tail back into his arms. As Shu Chen struggled, he patted the round base of the tail. “Behave.”
At that moment, Shu Chen understood the feeling of a tiger fallen to the plains being bullied by dogs.
To prevent the male lead from doing more harm to his tail, Shu Chen straightened his oversized clothes and planned to wrap the excess fabric around it to hide it.
Xiao Nian picked up the undergarment from the ground and casually stuffed it into Shu Chen’s arms. “Don’t forget this one too.”
Shu Chen knew that leaving still depended on the male lead. Filled with resentment but saying nothing, he took the undergarment out of his arms, folded it neatly, and held it together with his tail.
Perhaps because he’d never seen one before, Shu Chen felt the male lead was eyeing his tail covetously.
Sure enough, the male lead hadn’t stayed still for long before his hand slipped back under the hem of the clothes, stroking it idly. Shu Chen’s pent-up frustration rose with each touch.
Once I get back, I’m definitely getting revenge.
Just as he was about to lose his temper, the male lead above him suddenly spoke: “I know how to get back, but you have to agree to one condition first.”
Shu Chen said coldly, “Tell me the condition first.”
Xiao Nian freed one hand to scratch under the child’s chin. “Don’t be so serious. Right now, toying with you is effortless for me.”
Without even looking up, Shu Chen could imagine the smug expression on the other’s face.
His tail was pinched again. Shu Chen couldn’t take it anymore. He let go with both hands and slammed his tail against the male lead’s legs with loud thuds. “I’m warning you, don’t push it.”
Xiao Nian crossed his legs, trapping the plump tail between them. No wonder he was so heavy to hold his whole body was pure flesh.
“Even if I push it, what can you do about it? In this state, you can’t even walk, can you?”
Damn it, I’m about to be robbed while I’m down, Shu Chen thought mournfully.
The male lead was right. With his legs turned into a tail, he really couldn’t move well in this state.
Xiao Nian’s voice came with a smile: “Don’t worry, your big brother here is magnanimous. I won’t hold the bad things you did before against you, and I won’t throw you into a ghost nest.”
“What about you? Will you be petty and take revenge on me after we get back?”
Such a difficult choice. Shu Chen didn’t want to lie against his conscience, but the male lead’s words were clearly a threat.
While he was agonizing, Shu Chen was lifted by the armpits, his tail dragging on the ground, face to face with the male lead.
Xiao Nian looked at him with a grin. “Why aren’t you answering? Hm?”
Shu Chen kept a straight face and said seriously, “I agree. I won’t retaliate against you because of this matter.”
For some reason, the male lead’s smile deepened.
“So that means you’ll find other reasons to retaliate against me later?” The last four words were emphasized heavily, as if reminding the other to think carefully before answering.
Shu Chen’s gaze swept over the male lead’s heart. “One matter, one settlement. You can’t be too greedy.”
Xiao Nian didn’t intend to take much advantage. The little pervert had come to this godforsaken place because of him, so he had to bring him back. If he pushed him too far now, he’d be the one dealing with the consequences later.
“Fine, whatever you say goes. My condition is simple: after we get back, you can’t tell anyone about what happened here. Of course, I won’t mention that you grew a tail and can shrink into a child.”
Being able to enter and exit the ghost realm meant the male lead had already devoured the remnant soul and gotten quite a bit of information from it hence this request.
Shu Chen: “Fine, I can agree to that too.”
After getting his guarantee, Xiao Nian didn’t seem particularly relaxed. Instead, he let his bare, unabashed gaze fall on Shu Chen’s drooping tail. “Will the tail disappear once we’re back?”
Shu Chen tucked his tail back into his clothes. “That’s right not only is the tail gone, but I’ll also grow up.” He decided that once he returned, he would use a technique to increase his height, making himself taller than the male lead.
Xiao Nian said softly, “What a pity.”
Shu Chen: “? What are you doing?”
Xiao Nian pulled him back into his arms, grabbing that chubby tail and kneading it. “I don’t have enough power to go back right now I need to build it up. We’ll have to stay here a while longer.”
–
The moment they returned to the cultivation world, Shu Chen coldly withdrew his tail and then stretched his stature upward.
He would never show his tail in front of the male lead again.
Xiao Nian stood nearby, in an excellent mood. One matter settled, so he began deliberately trying to disgust Shu Chen.
“Master, would you like me to help you dress?”
That magnetic, pleasant voice paired with such words made Shu Chen’s hand, which was pulling on his undergarments, pause. The corner of his mouth twitched as he gave the male lead a speechless look.
Just then, the temple gate was kicked open, followed by a flustered voice: “Chenchen, Mother is here!”
Shu Chi followed close behind. Ever since receiving news of his son’s disappearance, he and his wife had turned the entire city upside down searching for him. They never imagined that while they were worrying themselves sick outside, their son was doing something like this.
Shu Chen’s heart raced, but his hands stayed steady. He carefully fastened his belt, then looked down to find his shoes no luck. They must have been lost in the ghost realm.
Then he blinked, speaking while scrambling for words. “Um, we were just doing something a little.”
Su Yang finished his sentence, “Something unspeakable?”
The male lead played dead and didn’t help. Shu Chen’s mind went blank, and he awkwardly nodded. “Mm.”
Su Yang: “Not even we can know?”
Shu Chen: “Mm.”
Shu Chi looked up at the sky and let out a silent sigh. Sure enough, dragons are inherently lustful.
