Reborn as a Scummy Alpha, I Became Every Heroine's Obsession - Chapter 42
They say a kitten’s body is like liquid. That description fit Xiao Qi perfectly.
Under Feng Jiying’s care, Xiao Qi had grown round and healthy. Her fur was thick, clean, and carried a faint, pleasant scent. Static made her fur fluff out as she moved between Gu Qiqi and Feng Jiying.
She was the kind of kitten you could easily get addicted to. It almost looked like someone could open their mouth and swallow her whole fuzzy head.
She squeezed nimbly between Gu Qiqi and Feng Jiying’s bodies.
With her furry little head, she nuzzled under Gu Qiqi’s chin, then rubbed against Feng Jiying’s cheek. Her damp little nose twitched as if urging them to come play with her.
Her short, fluffy tail stood straight up, and her tiny legs bounced with every step. She was impossibly cute.
Xiao Qi was full of curiosity, distracted by almost everything. After staring intently at Feng Jiying and Gu Qiqi for a while, she lifted her tiny pink paw and tried to climb up. But her two moms were like giants, and she couldn’t reach them.
To get their attention, she started doing backflips like a circus performer. After a few spins, she grew dizzy and rolled to the side, landing near a small leather ball Feng Jiying had made for her.
She bit the ball, but it rolled away.
She was then distracted by her own tail. Spinning around, she began to chase it. Her hind legs kicked up as her front paws reached forward, trying to catch the fluffy thing, only to realize it wasn’t cooperating.
Her tiny mouth, still without a full set of teeth, clamped down gently on her tail. The tip was soon wet and sticky. But after a while, she grew bored and turned her attention back to the two women.
Tilting her head, she blinked, clearly confused about why her two moms were so close together.
“Meow meow meow.”
Gu Qiqi finally breathed a sigh of relief when Xiao Qi managed to crawl out from between them.
She planted one hand on the floor and prepared to get up.
Her lips still felt slightly damp.
Swallowing discreetly, she tried to cover her embarrassment.
“That… President Feng, you saw it just now. It wasn’t intentional.”
With her strong physical condition, it wasn’t hard for Gu Qiqi to hold a push-up position. But just as she was about to rise, an arm circled around her neck.
Feng Jiying pursed her lips slightly and pulled Gu Qiqi closer by the neck.
“You always say that. Why should I believe you this time?”
A faint smile tugged at the corners of her mouth.
“Weren’t you supposed to be signing the match period agreement with Liu Huaiqing today? Why are you here instead? If you just wanted to see Xiao Qi, I could have sent her over.”
Her voice was cool and distant, with a sharp tone that carried a trace of sarcasm.
Gu Qiqi raised an eyebrow.
Now this felt more like the real Feng Jiying.
“President Feng really is the queen of contradiction. If you didn’t want me to come, why did you send Xiao Bai to pick me up? And if you were so unwilling to see me, why didn’t you push me away when I kissed you? Why are you still holding onto me? Is this how Omegas like to play innocent while blaming everything on Alphas?”
She stopped trying to pull away. Instead, she leaned in, resting her hand on the soft carpet. Her sharp wolf-like eyes locked onto Feng Jiying, who actually looked a little flustered under her gaze.
Feng Jiying took off her metal-rimmed glasses. Her dark hair spilled across the carpet, and a faint blush crept across her cheeks and the tips of her ears. She looked cold, yet strikingly beautiful.
“I’ve said it before. Gender differentiation is unfair to Omegas. Once an Omega accepts an Alpha’s pheromones, they become influenced by them. You marked me once. Even if it was temporary, your pheromones linger in my system. They affect my thoughts and my judgment. They make me want to be near you without even realizing it.”
Feng Jiying turned her face away, avoiding Gu Qiqi’s eyes.
Gu Qiqi clicked her tongue twice, then lifted Feng Jiying’s chin with a finger.
“Has anyone ever told you, President Feng, that you’re very good at dodging the point?”
Xiao Qi watched her two moms closely. She didn’t understand what they were doing, but she wanted to join in. She stood up and jumped, only managing to reach Feng Jiying’s arm.
Gu Qiqi smirked.
“So, President Feng, what exactly are you trying to achieve by holding onto my neck?”
Feng Jiying frowned slightly, her beautiful features tinged with embarrassment. She pressed her lips together and lifted her wrist, swiping across her terminal.
Gu Qiqi’s terminal buzzed, and a notification appeared.
[Terminal Notice: Hello, your balance has increased by 100,000 credits. Please verify promptly. If this was an error, contact the Federation Treasury.]
The chime told Gu Qiqi exactly what Feng Jiying wanted from her.
Gu Qiqi raised her brows.
“I have to admit, you’re the least straightforward person I’ve ever met.”
Feng Jiying’s entire neck turned red.
Gu Qiqi slowly leaned down, her warm breath brushing against Feng Jiying’s neck. Her cool nose slid along the soft skin, tracing from the jawline to behind the ear.
Though Gu Qiqi couldn’t detect pheromones, she thought Feng Jiying smelled faintly sweet, like coffee mixed with dark chocolate. Rich, warm, and just a little intoxicating.
Xiao Qi had no idea what game her moms were playing, but she wanted to get close too. She reached out with her pink paws and pawed at Feng Jiying’s hand.
But no matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t move it and let out a desperate string of meows.
“Meow meow meow!”
Gu Qiqi’s lips were just about to touch the corner of Feng Jiying’s mouth. Feng Jiying’s almond-shaped eyes were tightly shut. Her long eyelashes trembled like butterfly wings.
But instead of kissing her, Gu Qiqi blew a soft breath against her lips.
“President Feng, Xiao Qi is still watching. Don’t you think this is a little inappropriate?”
Feng Jiying’s elegant fingers dug into the carpet.
Her hands were beautiful, with neatly shaped nails and a healthy pink hue at the cuticles. Long, slender fingers with soft joints, tinted with a gentle flush.
She lifted one hand and gently grabbed Xiao Qi by the scruff of her neck, covering her tiny head entirely with her palm.
Then with her other hand, she grabbed Gu Qiqi’s collar.
“I already transferred the funds. Why are you still talking?”
Gu Qiqi’s eyes lit up, and she let out a soft laugh.
“President Feng, you’re being so forward, it’s hard not to misunderstand.”
“What exactly are you misunderstanding?”
Feng Jiying pushed against Gu Qiqi’s shoulder and sat up, picking up Xiao Qi and placing the kitten against her chest. She supported the kitten’s plump little backside with one hand.
The position between them shifted. Now Feng Jiying sat on Gu Qiqi’s lap, cradling Xiao Qi in her arms.
Her hair was a bit messy, spilling down her back. Her eyes were hazy, and her expression uncertain. But her voice was as forceful as ever as she reached out and tilted Gu Qiqi’s chin.
Her cool scent lingered around her, but her tone was absolutely dominant.
“So what if I’m an Omega?” Feng Jiying said calmly.
“I’m rich enough to rival entire nations. I control the economic lifeline of the interstellar world. If I wanted to, I could imprison you at any moment. I could make you my Alpha and mine alone. I could lock you in the basement of the Feng family villa and build a beautiful cage just for you. I would restrain your limbs, seal your pheromones, cut off your access to mental power, and leave you with no choice but to wait for me every single day.”
Her cool fingertip traced gently from beneath Gu Qiqi’s chin to her neck.
It moved slowly past the center of her collarbone, then slid further downward across her chest.
Each movement was filled with deliberate teasing and provocation.
Feng Jiying spoke with a voice as steady as ever, yet her words carried a quiet, terrifying force.
“Don’t worry. I like cleanliness, beauty, and elegance. I would surround your cage with fresh flowers and create a peaceful paradise for you. I’d make sure you were aware of each passing day. I would let you sense the world outside, but completely cut off your contact with it. You could cry out all you wanted, but no one would hear you.”
Gu Qiqi grabbed her hand and pressed it down.
“Hearing you say that actually makes me a little scared.”
“Good. If you know fear, then you’ll behave. Don’t make me angry. Just do things that make me happy.”
Feng Jiying straightened up, lowered her head, and without warning, kissed Gu Qiqi hard on the lips.
The system chimed in with a warning.
“Host, do not be deceived by a beautiful Omega. Did you not hear what Feng Jiying just said? She wants to build a luxurious cage and trap you inside it. Be cautious of triggering XXOO content, and beware of subtle narrative shifts that might lead the story astray.”
But Gu Qiqi didn’t seem to care.
Omegas could not resist the influence of Alpha pheromones.
Even Feng Jiying admitted she was affected. Her thoughts and actions were being shaped by Gu Qiqi’s scent.
To Gu Qiqi, that threat had sounded more like a way for Feng Jiying to express desire rather than a serious warning.
And besides, she was a 3S-plus Alpha. How could she possibly be afraid of an Omega who couldn’t even fight?
Feng Jiying’s kiss was intense.
It seemed to carry all of her frustration. Why had Gu Qiqi left so suddenly? Why hadn’t she said goodbye? Why did Liu Huaiqing have the key to Gu Qiqi’s dorm?
Gu Qiqi winced softly as a faint taste of blood spread across her tongue.
When the kiss ended, both of them were breathing heavily.
Only Xiao Qi was still trying to get their attention. Her little legs kicked in the air as she struggled to stay awake, but the effort finally wore her out. The tiny kitten curled into a ball and tumbled off Feng Jiying’s lap, finding a warm corner of the carpet to rest. Her tiny body couldn’t support the weight of her head, and she slowly toppled sideways.
A light snore followed.
She slept like a perfectly posed figurine, her belly facing up, soft and white.
Gu Qiqi smiled faintly and wiped the blood from the corner of her lips with her thumb.
“Looks like you really missed me, President Feng. That kiss had some force behind it. But your technique could use a little work.”
Feng Jiying, always dressed in fitted suits with an icy aura, still looked every bit the cold and elegant executive.
Gu Qiqi leaned closer and kissed her again.
She was beginning to notice something strange.
Feng Jiying was not currently in her sensitive period. By normal standards, even if she was slightly susceptible to Alpha pheromones, her reactions should not have been this intense.
Feng Jiying’s breath began to slow.
The room was quiet, yet the air felt hot and restless.
She couldn’t think clearly. She couldn’t make rational decisions.
This was the power of Alpha pheromones. They didn’t crash in all at once. They crept in little by little, quietly consuming rational thought.
It had only taken a few months for Feng Jiying to move from resistance to surrender.
The scent of sweet pheromones filled the room.
And with it, her years of belief and self-restraint were shattered.
Gu Qiqi twirled a strand of Feng Jiying’s hair between her fingers, her tone light and teasing.
“President Feng… you haven’t actually fallen for me, have you?”
