Pregnant With the Villain Boss’ Baby - Chapter 33
“Hey, hey! There’s no way you’re from next door. Do you even know who lives there? If you’re going to try a scam, at least make it believable!” Lu Huan’an said, filled with righteous indignation.
Who lived next door? That was his goddess. This brat actually claimed to be from her house! It was practically a defilement of his goddess’s image. She was the perfect single woman; how could she possibly have a kid like this?
“What do you mean by that? I am from next door!” Yun Lan said, her face puffed out with anger. Telling the truth and still being doubted—how infuriating!
“Impossible!”
“I am!”
“Lying brat!”
“Brainless big dummy!”
The two of them stood there, eyes wide, glaring at each other, neither willing to back down. They stood in a stalemate for ten minutes… until Yun Lan was the first to surrender—though she didn’t consider it a loss.
After all, given her small frame, even being dangled by Lu Huan’an while craning her neck to glare was uncomfortable. Besides, children aren’t known for their infinite patience.
“Big guy, let me down already!” Yun Lan struggled and shouted, grabbing Lu Huan’an’s arm with both hands and giving it a forceful squeeze.
“Siss…” Lu Huan’an hadn’t expected a child to have such grip strength. It actually made him, an S-rank Alpha, hiss in pain. Could this kid be an S-rank too? To be this strong at such a young age, the family must have a very solid training regimen.
Thinking this, a flash of admiration crossed Lu Huan’an’s eyes. However, the personality was a major flaw. Probably some rich second-generation kid who had been spoiled rotten—but how could those pampered kids have this kind of power?
It wasn’t that he looked down on them, but compared to those A-rank or even S-rank Alphas who only knew how to party and had never seen a battlefield, he could take on several at once without a challenge. This kid had potential, but she was definitely a brat who needed a lesson.
Caught in his distraction, he accidentally let Yun Lan slip away. She landed steadily on the ground in a horse stance—shoo—and instantly retreated two meters away from him.
Seeing her posture, Lu Huan’an’s admiration grew. While that distance meant nothing to him, against peers of her age, it would be a perfect defensive move.
With a light tap on the ground, he was in front of her in the blink of an eye. The speed made Yun Lan’s pupils contract as a hand clamped down on her shoulder.
“Alright, little one. You should know you can’t beat me. Start telling the truth,” Lu Huan’an said, hands on his hips, huffing.
“I told the truth, you’re the one who doesn’t believe it.” Yun Lan rolled her eyes at him and tried to brush his hand off, but it wouldn’t budge. She could only stomp her foot in frustration and look up, shouting:
“My name is Yun Lan!”
“I don’t care what your name is… wait. Yun Lan… your surname is Yun?” Lu Huan’an squatted down, grabbing her shoulders and shouting in shock. “What is your relationship with Goddess Yun?”
Goddess Yun? Is this guy a fan of Mommy? So, the “pervert” Mommy talked about was him? It had to be. He looks decent but acts crazy. When she grows up, she’s definitely going to punch him!
Lu Huan’an saw the look in Yun Lan’s eyes shift from disbelief to disdain, and then to pure disgust. He patted his head. What did I do? Why is this kid looking at me like that?
“If I don’t have the surname Yun, do you? Mommy said a pervert lives in the villa next door. Hmph, she was right. You’re a total creep!” Yun Lan pointed at him, hands on her hips. She couldn’t lose her momentum in front of a pervert!
“Huh?” He’d only tripped in front of Goddess Yun once—how did that make him a pervert?!
“No… I…”
“I know Mommy is the best Omega in the world, but even she can’t stand having a pervert next door. She sighs and shakes her head every time she looks at this villa. I’m warning you! Stay away from my Mommy! Don’t you dare harass her!”
Yun Lan thought she was being incredibly cool. If Mommy knew she came here to warn the pervert, surely she wouldn’t be mad about her sneaking out.
“Wait… wait a minute…” Lu Huan’an patted his chest, calming his internal frustration before forcing a friendly, “kindly” smile. “Your Mommy is… Yun Mu?”
“Yeah.” Yun Lan nodded warily.
“Then… then your Dad—I mean, your other Mommy… is it that… that Alpha?” Lu Huan’an thought of the woman he’d greeted that morning and felt a stomachache.
“You mean Sister Yang? She’s Mommy’s best friend. I don’t have a Dad or another Mom,” Yun Lan huffed.
“You don’t…?” Lu Huan’an paused. Something about Yun Lan’s exposed features felt hauntingly familiar. Who was it? “Hey, kid. Take off that mask and let me see your face.” His tone was now one of curiosity and persuasion.
“What are you trying to do?” Hearing this, Yun Lan immediately covered her mouth, her gaze becoming even more guarded. “Are you so perverted that you—”
“I have a fiancée!” Lu Huan’an interrupted, his forehead pulsing with a vein, making no effort to hide his disdain. “No matter how desperate I was, I wouldn’t go for a kid—especially an Alpha. Are you just hiding your face because you’re ugly?” He said this mostly to see what the “Goddess’s cub” looked like, and partly to see if she was lying. You can usually tell from a person’s face.
“You’re the ugly one!” As expected, Yun Lan exploded. She ripped off her mask, cupped her face, and said indignantly, “You call this ugly? My Mommy says I’m the cutest ‘Bao—’ cough… child in the world! My Mommy is so beautiful; as her child, how could I be ugly? All the kids in my class say I’m the prettiest. The little Omegas who want to be my wife could circle the school several times…”
While Yun Lan was busy chirping about her looks, Lu Huan’an’s eyes practically fell out of his head. He stared, jaw dropped. Holy crap! No wonder she looked so familiar… This… this is literally a carbon copy of my sister when she was a kid!
“What is your relationship to my sister?” Lu Huan’an blurted out, interrupting her.
Yun Lan, annoyed at the interruption, asked suspiciously, “Your sister? I don’t even know who your sister is.”
“Ah, right. Look at this.” Lu Huan’an pulled up his comms and projected a 3D hologram. It was Lu Fengxu in her military uniform, standing tall and straight. “Look how much you two look alike.”
It was Yun Lan’s turn to be dumbfounded. She grabbed Lu Huan’an’s hand, looking left and right at the image, then touched her own face. She backed up a few steps, her expression turning grim.
“Did you make a fake composite image just to get me to trust you?”
Lu Huan’an felt a row of black lines cross his forehead. He wanted to crack open her little head to see what was inside. Why would he bother trying to trick a toddler? He just wanted an autograph and some photos for his fiancée—she loved the Goddess even more than he did. Knowing the Goddess lived next door to his sister… Hiss, the drama is too intense.
“She’s my sister. Have you heard of Lu Fengxu? The world-famous Major General? If you want to join the military, there’s no way you haven’t heard of her,” Lu Huan’an said proudly, looking as if he were describing his own glory.
“She… is Lu Fengxu?” Yun Lan had certainly heard the name and all her legendary achievements, but she had never seen a photo. She never expected the General to look exactly like her.
(Lu Huan’an: More than ‘similar’—you were carved from the same mold.)
“But how could the Major General have such a stupid brother?” Yun Lan asked, looking at Lu Huan’an with visible disgust.
Lu Huan’an: What is that supposed to mean?! -皿-
“Listen to me. You look exactly like my sister. Haven’t you ever wondered if you’re related?” Lu Huan’an decided to ignore the kid’s insults and get straight to the point.
“…I only have Mommy. And I’ve never met ‘her’,” Yun Lan said after a long silence, her tone unreadable.
“Ah, about that…” Lu Huan’an scratched his head. Dealing with kids was way harder than he thought. Then, he remembered something. About five or six years ago, an “incident” had happened. “Yun Lan, how old are you?”
“Five. Almost six.” She gave him a strange look.
“That’s it!” Lu Huan’an stood up so fast Yun Lan jumped back. “What are you doing? Why are you shouting?!”
“Yun Lan, I am certain you are my sister’s offsp— cough… my sister’s child.” Lu Huan’an placed his hands on her shoulders, looking incredibly solemn.
“Whoa!” Seeing his serious face, Yun Lan instinctively nodded.
“Based on my deduction, my sister was set up by those old fogies years ago. She had a ‘situation’ with an Omega, but when she woke up, the person was gone. Vanished into thin air. I bet that Omega was your Mommy!” Lu Huan’an stroked his chin, sounding absolutely sure of himself. Then he paused.
Wait… so my sister actually slept with Goddess Yun?! What kind of divine luck is that?! If the Goddess’s fans found out that the youngest Major General in history had done that, she’d be shredded! To the fans, the Goddess belonged to everyone!
Wow, Sis is a beast. Legendary career, and she even landed the ultimate woman!
“So… if that’s the case, then the ‘pervert’ Mommy was talking about…”
Lu Huan’an: I remember Sis standing by the window staring at the villa next door in a daze!
Yun Lan: Mommy was sitting on the sofa looking completely out of it!
The two looked at each other in shock for several minutes before turning and sprinting toward their respective homes.
