Pregnant After Being Marked By A Top-Tier Alpha - Chapter 1
On the outskirts of C City, halfway up a mountain nestled amidst hidden, deep greenery, an ancient manor was shrouded in a pale, silvery moonlight. Large swathes of moonlight pierced through the treetops, casting dappled shadows upon the ground.
Occasionally, a summer breeze would drift by, causing the leaves to rustle with a soft, whispering sound.
Bai Jinge, dressed in a bean-green long dress, kept her eyes lowered. Led by a stern, unsmiling old butler, she walked across the vast expanse of the lawn and finally arrived at the manor’s grand hall.
Creak—
The old butler pushed open the tightly shut living room door with both hands, then turned to face Bai Jinge. “Miss Bai, President Ye is waiting for you in the study.”
“The study is the first room on the left, on the second floor.”
Bai Jinge glanced at the old butler, her red lips parting as she was about to speak: “…”
The butler bowed slightly, extended a hand in a “please” gesture, and stepped aside. “Miss Bai, please, go right in.”
Bai Jinge forced a smile. “Thank you.”
Although it was the height of a sweltering August, the moment she stepped into the living room, she felt a distinct chill, not like the air produced by air conditioning.
Standing alone in the vast, cold living room, Bai Jinge suddenly hesitated. Her feet felt as if they were filled with lead, unable to move an inch.
On the way here, Bai Jinge had prepared herself mentally. She had decided that tonight, she would do whatever it took—even if it meant sacrificing everything—to achieve her goal. Yet, in this moment, she began to get cold feet.
In her mind, a series of rumors about Ye Yunwan continuously surfaced.
“That Ye Yunwan is a pervert. I heard she has strange sexual tastes and especially loves to torture people in bed. Once you get into Ye Yunwan’s bed, don’t expect to leave in one piece.”
“I heard that there was an Omega girl, just eighteen years old, who looked absolutely pitiful, but unfortunately, she caught Ye Yunwan’s eye. Guess what happened? The girl suddenly disappeared mysteriously. Her body was later found discarded on the mountain road outside the Moed Manor. Ever since then, that manor has been haunted…”
“I heard something different. Apparently, this President Ye is asexual—doesn’t like men or women. Seems like she’s a narcissist.”
The luxurious, expensive crystal chandelier overhead refracted warm, yellow light, which spilled over Bai Jinge. She feigned calmness and took a deep breath. Suddenly, she released her grip on her dress, a look of desperate resolve flashing in her eyes. Clad in high heels, she walked firmly toward the marble staircase.
The sensor lights in the hallway turned on one by one as she stepped forward, illuminating a long, empty corridor devoid of any human presence.
Bai Jinge walked down the long, seemingly endless hallway, a lengthened shadow trailing behind her, accompanied by the rhythmic “tap-tap” of her heels striking the floor.
Finally, she reached the end of the corridor. A closed mahogany door appeared before her, the cold, lonely scent of sandalwood permeating the air.
Bai Jinge stood upright, hesitated for a few seconds, and finally raised her hand to knock on the study door.
“President Ye, this is Bai Jinge. I… am I interrupting?”
The surroundings were silent; there was no response from inside the room.
Bai Jinge waited patiently for about two or three minutes before knocking on the door again. The result was the same—she heard no sound from Ye Yunwan.
Had the butler not told her personally that Ye Yunwan was in the study, Bai Jinge would have reasonably suspected that there was no one in the room at all.
Just as Bai Jinge’s thoughts were drifting, a deep, low-pitched female voice emanated from the study, like a ghost reaching out from hell, instantly grabbing Bai Jinge’s heart.
“Enter.”
Bai Jinge snapped back to reality, widening her peach-blossom eyes. She pushed the door open gently.
Inside the study, the light was dim; no lamps were lit. Only a desk lamp on the large desk emitted a faint, orange-yellow glow.
Bai Jinge suddenly frowned, for she smelled a thick, rich scent of cedar. It was as if she were standing in a dense cedar forest just after a heavy downpour, the trees soaked in cold rain—a strong, chilling fragrance.
Clearly, this was the scent emitted by an Alpha in the midst of their rut. And Ye Yunwan was an S-class top-tier Alpha; the pheromones she emitted at this moment could force any Omega, even another S-class Omega, into an early heat cycle.
Bai Jinge’s heart hammered like a drum. Following the light, she looked over and finally saw a tall woman sitting behind the desk.
The woman was dressed in black, hidden against the black office chair, appearing as if she had merged with it. Her thick, dark hair cascaded over her shoulders, her face as pale as paper, her lips a deep, blood-red. They were full and sensual, as if they had drunk their fill of blood.
A pair of jade-like amber pupils stared quietly at Bai Jinge. Her facial features were stereoscopic and cold, her eyes deep, like an unfathomable, mysterious sea.
Beneath her left lower eyelid, there was a tiny black mole, appearing particularly seductive in the light.
Ye Yunwan’s red lips moved. “Come here.”
Bai Jinge gathered her courage and strode toward the large mahogany desk. Upon reaching it, she stood tall and straight, not saying a word.
The large desk was empty, save for an open, transparent rectangular box, inside of which lay a syringe.
The woman in the office chair slowly lifted her eyelids, expressionlessly scrutinizing Bai Jinge, and asked, “Why do you think I would be willing to offend the Du family for your sake?”
The Bai family had gotten into a lawsuit due to a business dispute. Their bitter rivals, the Du family, seized the evidence and used various underhanded, gray-market tactics to not only bankrupt the Bai company but also to try to send Bai Jinge’s father, the legal representative, to prison.
Bai Jinge’s mother had given birth to her at forty. Her mother had passed away two years ago due to illness, and her father, now in his seventies, could never withstand the hardship of prison.
Bai Jinge’s expression was composed and unwavering. “President Ye, the fact that you agreed to see me proves, at the very least, that you have considered it.”
Ye Yunwan laughed, half-squinting her beautiful phoenix eyes, their corners curling upward. “Everyone says I’m a pervert, a sex addict. Aren’t you afraid?”
Bai Jinge’s heart skipped a beat. Her long, feathery eyelashes fluttered slightly as she uttered two words: “I am afraid.”
Ye Yunwan raised an eyebrow. “And yet, you still dare to deliver yourself to my doorstep.”
Bai Jinge replied, “Because I cannot watch my father go to prison, and you are the only one who can help me.”
Suddenly, Ye Yunwan frowned in pain, instinctively grabbing the rectangular box on the table. Her five cold, white fingers could not stop trembling.
At the same time, the cedar scent in the air became even more intense, aggressively drilling into Bai Jinge’s nostrils.
Bai Jinge felt a sudden palpitation, a surge of electric currents coursing through her body. Her legs went weak, and she nearly stumbled. Fortunately, she reacted quickly, grabbing the edge of the desk.
Simultaneously, the woman behind the desk’s eyes suddenly brightened. She greedily sniffed the scent of summer lotus that had suddenly drifted into the air. The cool, lotus fragrance seemed to have a magical power, soothing Ye Yunwan’s restless, burning body.
It was the first time Ye Yunwan felt that an Omega’s scent was so pleasant, the first time she felt an urgent desire to possess someone so completely.
Ye Yunwan abruptly pulled her hand back, pushed the syringe aside, and commanded with a movement of her red lips, “Come over.”
Her deep, cold, and alluring eyes suddenly became bloodshot and predatory, staring at Bai Jinge as if examining prey.
Enduring the pain of being suddenly forced into a heat cycle, Bai Jinge, with a thin sheen of cold sweat on her forehead, bit her lip hard. She walked around the large desk and stood obediently by Ye Yunwan’s side.
The office chair rotated. Ye Yunwan leaned back lazily and scrutinized Bai Jinge.
Before her stood a woman with perfect peach-blossom eyes—the corners long and slightly upturned, her dark pupils as deep as autumn water—and thin, tightly pressed lips beneath a high, beautiful nose. Her skin was whiter than snow on a mountain peak, perfectly embodying the description of “ice-muscled and jade-boned.”
She was worthy of being an S-class Omega coveted by everyone in high society. Even while in heat, she remained restrained, exuding an aura of cold, ascetic purity. The scent of summer lotus was alluring and holy, impossible to desecrate.
Ye Yunwan suddenly reached out, grabbed Bai Jinge’s wrist, and pulled her into her arms.
“…!” Bai Jinge nearly gasped, falling onto the woman’s lap.
The next second, Bai Jinge’s waist was imprisoned by the woman’s arms. Then, the hair against the back of her neck was brushed aside, and the woman’s scorching breath sprayed over her sensitive skin.
“You smell so good.” The woman’s sharp nose lightly touched Bai Jinge’s smooth neck, brushing against her gland, sniffing with obsession.
“President Ye, no…” This was the first time Bai Jinge had ever been treated this way, and she shivered all over, her voice trembling as she spoke.
“What? Regret it?” Ye Yunwan clearly felt the body in her arms go rigid, and she frowned, asking coldly in return.
“No.” Bai Jinge’s body went soft, but she braced herself to answer.
Ye Yunwan’s red lips parted slightly, her teeth grazing Bai Jinge’s tempting neck. “If you want me to help you, you must agree to the exchange condition…”
“I want to mark you completely.” Ye Yunwan was suddenly struck by an intense possessiveness, her phoenix eyes narrowed as she said with certainty.
“…!” Bai Jinge’s pitch-black pupils widened, her mind instantly going blank. She deliberated for a few seconds, then silently closed her eyes as a hot tear rolled down the side of her nose.
“Okay.”
Upon receiving permission, Ye Yunwan buried her face in her neck, raining down delicate, frantic kisses. One hand wrapped around Bai Jinge’s slim waist, while the other began to wander downwards.
Her cold fingertips lightly touched the burning skin, inciting waves of primal desire.
Rip— Rip—
Suddenly, the sound of fabric being torn apart echoed through the air, reaching their eardrums instantly.
“President Ye!” Bai Jinge opened her eyes abruptly, a flash of suppressed anger in her gaze.
A sudden, intense feeling of humiliation swelled in her chest, making Bai Jinge feel unexpectedly nauseous.
“You have no right to bargain with me here.” Ye Yunwan looked down at the prey in her arms with a disdainful gaze. “I do not like to force people.”
“I will give you one last chance. You can leave now.”
The scent of cedar pervaded the air once again, invasive and relentless. It drilled through Bai Jinge’s nasal cavity and into her body, stimulating nerves made sensitive and fragile by the forced heat cycle.
Without suppressants, relying solely on willpower, Bai Jinge could not resist the pheromones of a top-tier Alpha. Her eyes began to glow with a beautiful, intoxicating crimson hue, as if she were drunk.
“Have you decided?” Ye Yunwan tried her best to restrain the emotions that were nearly overflowing within her, her lips uncontrollably brushing against the corner of Bai Jinge’s mouth.
The woman’s throat tightened as she swallowed hard.
“Yes.” Bai Jinge surrendered, closing her eyes as her wet, long eyelashes fluttered.
As soon as she finished speaking, a coolness touched her lips. Two full, soft lips covered her own, carrying a sense of aggressive plunder.
The kiss was exceptionally clumsy; many times, their teeth bumped against each other. But this did not stop Ye Yunwan from exploring further, until she finally, driven by instinct, marked Bai Jinge completely.
