Perfect Possession - Episode 83
Tae-yul listlessly patted the puppy doll, his eyes following Seo-yeon, who seemed busier than usual. The puppy doll was half-hanging off the doll bed, as if he was trying to put it to sleep, and the blanket had already fallen to the floor.
Tae-yul, who had been turning his whole body to watch Seo-yeon cross the living room, finally stood up and followed his mom.
When the nanny tried to follow Tae-yul, Madam Kim smiled and shook her head. Madam Kim knew why Tae-yul was acting like that.
A few days ago, Seo-yeon had been looking out the window and murmured, “When this season comes, I remember the day we first met.” At first, Madam Kim wondered what she was talking about, but she soon realized it was about her first meeting with Chairman Han.
“Then you should have a special date that day.”
“A special date?”
“The day you first met was at the company, wasn’t it?”
“Yes, it was.”
“That day, sneak into the company without Chairman Han knowing and surprise him. Of course, you’ll have to tell Chief Jung in advance not to schedule anything big for that afternoon.”
“It’s exciting just thinking about it. But taking Tae-yul to the company is a bit…”
“Oh my, why would you take Young Master on your anniversary? Leave him to me.”
And so, Seo-yeon was preparing a special date to surprise Jaehoon. Of course, Madam Kim had diligently persuaded Tae-yul beforehand that his mom was meeting a friend that day.
After his third birthday, Tae-yul began to interact with the young children of the ladies in the social gatherings. Naturally, he looked forward to the days he met his friends. So,, when his mom said she was going to meet a friend and play, Tae-yul held up five fingers and said, “Play like this and come back.” Those fingers probably meant five o’clock in the afternoon.
But when Seo-yeon was about to leave, he seemed to want to hold her back. Tae-yul followed her into the dressing room and stared intently as Seo-yeon put on her earrings.
She smiled at Tae-yul reflected in the mirror. Seo-yeon put on pearl earrings that clung to her ears and turned to face Tae-yul. She was wearing a black tight skirt and a white blouse with a large ribbon.
“How is it? Is Mom pretty?”
Seo-yeon, who had chosen clothes that felt like what she wore when she first met Jaehoon, felt like she had become a secretary again.
Seo-yeon hesitated for a moment, seeing her son’s sullen expression, wondering if she should take him with her. But Tae-yul ran up to her, hugged her tightly around the neck, and stroked her hair.
“Mommy pwetty. Pway wif fwend?”
“Yeah, can Mom go play with a friend?”
Tae-yul, who had been resting his face against Seo-yeon’s chest for a moment, soon nodded with a smiling face.
“Uh, come back wike dis.”
Tae-yul pointed to the clock on the wall and held up his fingers. He didn’t know when five o’clock was, but he knew that when the needle went to the number 5, he had to go home.
“Okay. Mom will be back before this needle goes to 5.”
Seo-yeon held Tae-yul and went to the clock, pointing to the needle and the number 5.
“Otay. Pway.”
Seeing Tae-yul smiling brightly, Seo-yeon felt relieved. She entrusted Tae-yul to Madam Kim, who had come inside, and put on a black long coat. She neatly tied her long wavy hair at the nape of her neck, giving off a strong secretary vibe.
“How is it? Do you think this will be a surprise?”
“Chairman will probably be so surprised that he’ll just stand there with his mouth open.”
Madam Kim said in an excited voice.
“I doubt it. Jaehoon doesn’t make those kinds of expressions these days unless it’s with Tae-yul.”
“Try to bring it out of him.”
Seo-yeon let out a short laugh at Madam Kim’s words.
She headed to the company, seeing Tae-yul off. No one except Hyun-shik knew that Seo-yeon was coming. Now that everyone knew that Secretary Min had become the lady of Do-young Group, anyone who saw Seo-yeon at the company would be shocked.
So, she was planning to use the chairman’s private elevator. She didn’t want to interfere with other people’s work with their special event.
Seo-yeon got out of the car in the executive parking lot on the third floor of the company and walked straight to the chairman’s private elevator. Meeting her husband, whom she sees every day, in the place where they first met, she felt the excitement of that day all over again, and her heart fluttered.

“Is this the end of today’s schedule?”
Jaehoon instinctively checked the time and looked at Hyun-shik. He wasn’t planning any particularly important projects, but he was so busy just checking on the ones in progress that one day wasn’t enough.
But Jaehoon couldn’t believe it when Hyun-shik answered his question about the afternoon schedule by saying, “This is the end of today’s schedule.”
“Are you that free? Come to think of it, I don’t think all the documents to be signed today have been passed on yet?”
“You took care of all the urgent matters in the morning, and I said I understood because they said they needed a day or two more for the rest.”
“So, there’s nothing immediately urgent, right?”
Jaehoon felt good at the thought of going home early for the first time in a while.
“Well, there is.”
Hyun-shik checked the text message he had just received and looked at Jaehoon with a smile.
“Chairman’s official afternoon schedule is empty, but I think a new schedule will be created.”
Jaehoon, who was picking up his jacket hanging on the golden metal hanger, frowned.
“What does that mean? Does it mean I have to be at the company even if I don’t have a schedule? I’m sorry, but I’m going to leave work now.”
Just then, the intercom on Jaehoon’s desk rang. He looked back and forth between the intercom and Hyun-shik and realized that the work wasn’t finished yet. Jaehoon grumbled, “It’s not like I don’t have an afternoon schedule, why are you confusing me?” and pressed the intercom.
-… .
“Speak.”
Jaehoon asked when he heard nothing.
-Ah… M, Secretary Min is going in.
Jaehoon tilted his head at the secretary’s flustered voice.
“Secretary Min? Did we have another Secretary Min besides Seo-yeon in our company…? Tell her to come in.”
Jaehoon muttered quietly, answered briefly, and sat back down.
Hyun-shik turned around and smiled. Knowing who Secretary Min was, he wondered how surprised Jaehoon would be. A moment later, when he heard a knock, Hyun-shik opened the door.
Jaehoon honestly had no idea who Secretary Min was or why she wanted to meet him. He was just thinking about his company life with Seo-yeon, calling her “Secretary Min.”
But the moment he saw Seo-yeon entering in a black coat, looking neat and beautiful, he jumped up from his seat. He jumped up so suddenly that the chair was pushed back and almost fell over.
“You…”
Hyun-shik watched Jaehoon, who was so surprised that he couldn’t finish his sentence, and quietly left the chairman’s office.
“Chairman, it’s been a while.”
“How on earth… how is this…”
Seo-yeon smiled brightly and approached Jaehoon.
“Is it that surprising?”
“No! You didn’t say anything.”
“I guess you don’t remember, Chairman.”
Jaehoon finally calmed his surprised heart as he watched Seo-yeon approach the desk with a playful and lovely smile.
He raised the corners of his mouth and gave a charming smile. His dark eyes slowly slid from Seo-yeon’s head to her toes. The dark eyes that returned to Seo-yeon had turned a deep brown.
“I’m sure there’s something going on here?”
He playfully grabbed the hem of Seo-yeon’s coat and pulled her in, wrapping his arms around her slender waist.
“Chairman? Is it okay to do this at the company?”
“Of course, it’s not okay for other people, but it is for you. But what is it that I don’t remember?”
“The day we first met.”
Seo-yeon deliberately made a disappointed expression.
“The day we first met?”
The charming smile turned into an awkward smile, looking embarrassed.
“The day I first saw you here is today, but I guess you don’t remember, Chairman.”
To be honest, Jaehoon didn’t remember the day he first met Seo-yeon. He had met so many people, and the day he first saw Seo-yeon was the day he met a secretary, not a woman, so there was no need to remember it.
But what he remembered exactly was her outfit. She was wearing a black skirt and a white blouse with a ribbon tied around her neck. He was amazed at how seductive she could be.
“But you know, I remember what you were wearing.”
He lowered his voice and unbuttoned his black coat. After checking the clothes she was wearing inside, Jaehoon closed his eyes tightly and lifted his eyelids towards Seo-yeon as if he couldn’t resist.
“That’s right, it was this outfit. A perfect secretary look. It was so distracting that I was honestly going to send you back.”
“Why?”
“Because you’re too beautiful.”
Seo-yeon felt a jolt throughout her body, but she had to come to her senses to stop Jaehoon, who was trying to be true to his instincts, since they were in the chairman’s office.
Seo-yeon gently blocked Jaehoon’s lips, which were getting closer to her face, with her hand and whispered sweetly.
“I recreated the way I looked the day we first met. Do you like it?”
