- Over The Top! He Keeps Making the Gold-Digging Alpha Cry
- Chapter 51 - Are You a Groper?
Pei Yu brought the soup on the table closer to him. “You arrived at a good time. The restorative soup just came up not long ago. It was hot then, but now it has become warmer, just right for drinking.”
Xu Wanxing thanked him and used a spoon to scoop up a piece of tofu from the soup, eating it slowly.
Lin Yao called the waiter and ordered many other dishes.
This time, he ordered the most expensive King Crab set in the restaurant. When it was served, the table was almost too small to hold it.
On a massive platter, the King Crab meat had been meticulously shelled and arranged exquisitely, with the enormous crab shell decorating the background.
Lin Yao took some crab meat and put it in Xu Wanxing’s bowl. “Try this.”
Xu Wanxing was just about to use his chopsticks when Pei Yu stopped him. Pei Yu said, “You just ate those cold things; your stomach is uncomfortable. King Crab is cold in nature, so eating it will probably make you feel worse. You better not eat it.”
Lin Yao looked at Xu Wanxing and indeed saw a trace of paleness on his cheeks. He apologized and took the crab meat out of Xu Wanxing’s bowl.
“Young Master Pei has a point. You should drink more soup.”
Xu Wanxing’s eyes welled up with tears as he watched the two of them eat the King Crab, but his stomach genuinely felt unwell, making him even more miserable.
After the meal, Lin Yao offered to take Xu Wanxing back to school, but Pei Yu raised an eyebrow and said, “No need. I’m his roommate, and I can conveniently give him a ride back. Young Master Lin should go attend to his business.”
No matter what, Xu Wanxing was his roommate and someone he had once been attracted to.
He couldn’t just let Xu Wanxing walk into Lin Yao’s trap. Lin Yao was truly a womanizer; if his little white flower roommate was played until nothing was left, how pitiful would that be?
Lin Yao’s expression turned ugly. When he encountered Shen Yuxuan while shopping with Xu Wanxing previously, Shen Yuxuan warned him that very night to stay away from Xu Wanxing.
It was utterly inexplicable!
Now, he couldn’t even take Xu Wanxing back to school? The men around Xu Wanxing, one after another, watched him so closely. He wasn’t some ferocious beast; he wouldn’t eat Xu Wanxing. Why were they so nervous?
Furthermore, Xu Wanxing had previously received financial aid from him, so he should trust him the most, right? If they don’t want him to do this, he’ll insist on it!
Lin Yao said, “You are his roommate. Excuse me, but I am his partner. What’s wrong with me taking him back?”
With that, Lin Yao put an arm around Xu Wanxing’s shoulder and walked off first, leaving the bewildered Pei Yu messed up in the wind.
Partner?
How many does that make now?
First, there was Shen Yuxuan, then the person who came to their dorm, and now Lin Yao.
If he misunderstood Shen Yuxuan, it’s impossible that he misunderstood the latter two as well.
Is Xu Wanxing two-timing?
What a terrifying Omega. Fortunately, his Wanwan looks like a very simple little Omega.
Pei Yu was incredibly thankful that he hadn’t continued to like Xu Wanxing. As for Xu Wanxing’s relationships, those were none of his business.
The two walked along the road. The restaurant was a few hundred meters from the school, and it would take about 10 minutes to walk there.
The long road was lined with green trees. It was dark now, making it hard to see clearly, but the warm yellow light from the streetlamps illuminated the ground. Shared bicycles and small shared electric scooters carrying both male and female riders passed by from time to time.
In this youthful, innocent, happy, and lively age of around 20, laughter filled the air all along the road.
Except for the two people walking in silence.
Lin Yao opened his mouth then closed it, constantly sneaking glances at the person beside him.
As Xu Wanxing walked, he felt his stomach start to ache again. He placed both hands on his abdomen, his face pale, his lips pursed without speaking, terrified that a cry of pain would escape if he opened his mouth.
After walking for a while, Lin Yao noticed the unusual pallor on the person’s face. His heart sank, and he abruptly grabbed Xu Wanxing’s arm.
“Are you okay?” His voice carried anxiety, nervousness, and a touch of urgency.
The moment he stopped, the needle-like pain in his stomach surged violently. Xu Wanxing suddenly squatted down, clutching his abdomen, biting his lip hard.
Lin Yao was caught off guard and was yanked by Xu Wanxing, almost falling to the ground. He was about to curse, but seeing Xu Wanxing’s face contorted in pain, Lin Yao’s heart panicked terribly.
“I told you to go to the hospital to get checked out, but you refused. Look at you now.” Lin Yao dialed 120, his fingertips trembling.
This was a first; his heart had never been this chaotic.
After hanging up the phone, looking at Xu Wanxing shivering on the ground, Lin Yao asked, “Are you cold? Wait, I’ll take off my clothes for you.”
Lin Yao unbuttoned two buttons, then suddenly remembered he was wearing a vest and a shirt.
For the first time, he wanted to hit himself for being so fashion-conscious and trying to look cool.
So what if it was a vest? A vest could still provide warmth, right?
Lin Yao draped the vest over Xu Wanxing, then fell silent, seeing Xu Wanxing continue to shiver.
Lin Yao: Fck!
Without stopping, Lin Yao also pulled off the only shirt he had left and draped it over Xu Wanxing. Seeing that Xu Wanxing was still trembling, Lin Yao simply squatted down and hugged Xu Wanxing, using his own body temperature to warm him.
Lin Yao was already moved by his own thoughtfulness, unaware that Xu Wanxing was so angry his lips were shaking.
He was already weak, squatting there trying to ease the pain, and now Lin Yao’s large body was suddenly pressed against him, nearly crushing him to death.
Soon, he wouldn’t die from the pain, but from being flattened by Lin Yao.
Xu Wanxing opened his mouth to curse, only to realize he was too weak to utter a single word. He could only glare at Lin Yao with his eyes.
Xu Wanxing’s face was already pale, and his lips, except for the faint red where his teeth bit them, were entirely white, giving him the look of a pathetic little white flower.
Not to mention, he was now looking at the person with teary eyes, fragile, his beautiful and delicate face full of moving vulnerability.
Lin Yao was so dizzied and confused that he couldn’t tell up from down. His fox-like eyes stared intently at Xu Wanxing’s, and seeing the affection that seemed to be speaking in those eyes, Lin Yao nodded vigorously.
He understood, he understood it all.
He’d fallen in love with him, hadn’t he?
Who wouldn’t like a handsome guy like him who is both considerate and caring?
Xu Wanxing couldn’t understand why Lin Yao was nodding at him yet still pressed down on him, nearly crushing him to death. What grievance or hatred did he have?
Seeing the 120 ambulance arrive, Xu Wanxing was so happy he almost cried. Lin Yao finally got off him.
“Save him, quickly save him!” Lin Yao stood up and shouted, pointing at Xu Wanxing.
The medical personnel were startled to see Lin Yao, who was shirtless, and looked at him warily.
“Are you a groper?” (“Wei Xie Zhe” – referring to someone who commits indecent assault/molestation)
Lin Yao was stunned and quickly shook his head. “I am a good samaritan who acted bravely for a just cause. Oh, I’m not wearing a shirt because I took it off for him, afraid he was cold.”
Xu Wanxing was lifted onto the stretcher, looked up at the moon in the sky, and then at Lin Yao’s head, which was as round as the moon beside him. His mind was a mess, and he closed his eyes and fainted.
When he opened his eyes again, it was a snowy white ceiling. Smelling the disinfectant in the air, Xu Wanxing confirmed he was in the hospital. His hand felt a slight sting from the IV.
Xu Wanxing tried to sit up but found he was pressed down and couldn’t move. The arm that wasn’t hooked up to the IV was numb.
Looking over, there was a head lying on his body.
Xu Wanxing used his IV-connected hand to push the head. “Lin Yao, you’re pressing on me. Get off.”
The head moved and then looked up at Xu Wanxing.
Seeing who it was, Xu Wanxing nearly let out a sharp, ear-splitting scream.
