Older Brother - Chapter 7
The Alpha’s canines sank deep into the Omega’s gland, injecting a dense surge of possessive pheromones that felt like a powerful electric current.
Bai You’s vision went black. His legs gave out, and for several seconds, he lost consciousness entirely. An Omega whose lifeblood at the nape of the neck is held by an Alpha has no power to resist.
By the time he slowly came to, he was pinned against the cold wall. Wave after wave of Alpha pheromones poured into him, shattering the barrier of the disguise agent. The suppressed scent of orchids leaped up in joy, betraying its master’s will and pouring out in a desperate rush.
The lounge was soon filled with the fragrance of orchids faint, delicate, and hovering at the tip of the nose.
Fu Yu inhaled deeply, satisfied. He let go of the gland, his damp tongue tracing the wound left by his rough movements with a touch of pity, licking away the blood that carried the scent of orchids. He let out a long, contented breath.
This was the scent.
He had rounded up nearly a hundred “orchid-scented” Omegas, but he never even needed to smell them; one look was enough to know they weren’t the person from that night.
The body in his arms was lithe and resilient not cowering, not fragile. The pheromones weren’t so cloying they became unpleasant; they were as crisp as a breeze rolling through morning mist.
“What are you hiding from?” Fu Yu tilted his head slightly, his lips pressing against the Omega’s ear. His breath was warm, his words sounding like a lover’s sweet nothing.
A dry heat surged from deep within Bai You’s body. He bit his lip hard, refusing to speak. Fu Yu’s bite had forced him into a pseudo-heat.
An adult Omega typically has three to four heat cycles a year, usually on a fixed schedule. But Bai You was different. Because he had used disguise agents since his presentation, his cycles were highly unstable—which was why he lived like a ghost, desperately minimizing his presence.
The incident in the study had been an unexpected natural heat. This, however, was a pseudo-heat a forced state of arousal triggered and dominated by an Alpha.
“Why aren’t you talking?” Fu Yu kneaded his chin, his thumb brushing against the Omega’s soft lips in the pitch blackness. “You weren’t a mute last time. If you don’t open your mouth, I’m turning on the light.”
At those words, the Omega visibly shuddered.
Is he really that afraid of being seen?
Fu Yu almost laughed, but a strange sense of pity rose within him. He wanted to trace the man’s features with his fingers to see if he was truly as “ugly” as he claimed, but a damp, hot hand caught his.
Bai You spoke, his voice gravelly. “Don’t turn on the light.”
Fu Yu raised an eyebrow. “Then say something more.”
He had the Omega completely under his control; whether the lights were on or off didn’t matter to him. In fact, the darkness added a certain thrill to the encounter. He found it quite interesting. This time, he wouldn’t let this Omega slip away.
The Omega remained silent. Fu Yu unhurriedly stroked the man’s waist, each touch eliciting a violent tremor. Sweat soaked the ends of Bai You’s hair, and his breathing grew heavy.
Fu Yu’s voice carried a clear, playful tone of pleasure. “Can’t hold back anymore? Let me hear you say something nice.”
The heat of a cycle is a fever nailed into the marrow of one’s bones. Every bone and every inch of flesh feels as though it is being roasted, consumed by a fire that only an Alpha can extinguish.
Fu Yu knew that no Omega could resist the heat. Yet, the person in his arms was gritting his teeth, even trying to back out of his personal space.
Fu Yu’s expression cooled. He pinned the man down firmly. “Where do you think you’re going?”
Bai You hissed through clenched teeth, “Let go of me.”
Fu Yu went silent for a moment. His fingers rested on Bai You’s sweat-slicked Adam’s apple as he narrowed his eyes. “Your voice… it sounds a bit familiar.”
Bai You’s heart jumped into his throat. That inexplicable, eerie sense of familiarity coiled around Fu Yu’s mind again. He turned to reach for the light switch.
In that instant, a cold shiver ran down Bai You’s spine. His only thought was that he could not let Fu Yu see him. Drawing strength from some unknown reserve, he shoved the Alpha to the floor. Gasping, he knelt over him, his trembling hands fumbling to undo Fu Yu’s top button. His hot, wet lips brushed against the Alpha’s mouth. “Give… give it to me!”
Just as an Omega cannot resist the heat, an Alpha cannot resist a soliciting Omega. Fu Yu froze for a heartbeat before his breathing grew heavy. He flipped the Omega over, pinning him to the floor and bruising his lips with a kiss. After a moment, he let out a low laugh. “As you wish.”
The active pursuit of a reserved Omega was uniquely alluring. Sweat mingled with thick pheromones dripped onto the Alpha’s lips like a calculated seduction.
In truth, since touching this mysterious Omega, Fu Yu hadn’t looked at another person. No matter how dazzling or inviting other Omegas were, they all felt bland and utterly unremarkable to him. The pheromone compatibility between him and this stranger was likely staggering.
It was a rare find, but also a hidden threat. In the past, he might have considered getting rid of this Omega to ensure his pheromones wouldn’t cloud his judgment—there were plenty of people in the Federal Parliament who wanted him dead, and he couldn’t afford to have a weakness.
But surprisingly, he didn’t find himself repulsed by the idea of keeping him.
The area near the lounge had been cleared by the tactful manager. Intimate pheromones filled every inch of the room until they practically overflowed.
As they tangled on the carpet, the depth of their connection caused Bai You’s logic to crumble. Fu Yu had a twisted streak in this regard; he loved to hear the man cry out and would refuse to grant him release until he did.
After the first round, Bai You regained a sliver of clarity and pressed his fingers painfully against his brow. There were better ways to stop Fu Yu—what was wrong with him? He had let this happen again.
His weak, sweat-drenched hand brushed against something cold on the floor. The contact snapped his mind into focus.
It was an N9 Anti-Alpha spray a black-market item worth a fortune. It was triggered by Omega pheromones: sweat, saliva, or blood anything the sensor could detect. It was fast and efficient.
His head was heavy and throbbing. His fingers shook as he gripped the spray, searching for Fu Yu in the dark.
Suddenly, a pair of arms slid under his waist and knees, lifting him up. Bai You gasped in surprise.
Fu Yu carried him easily, his chin brushing against Bai You’s hair. “It’s always like this,” he said casually. “You sounded so good just now, but the moment it’s over, you go silent.”
Bai You’s face went white. His brain buzzed, and his finger moved to the trigger of the spray, ready to aim at Fu Yu.
But Fu Yu suddenly lowered his head and, without noticing the weapon, kissed the back of Bai You’s hand. His voice was unexpectedly tender. “I’ve heard Omegas are fragile. Did I hurt you just now?”
He began to murmur to himself, noting that all the lounges in the club had the same layout, so the bed should be to the left.
Listening to his low murmurs, Bai You froze. For some reason, the hand holding the spray wouldn’t move. He had seen Fu Yu’s cold-blooded side, and he remembered him as a young boy, eyes red and teeth clenched like a wolf pup after being bullied.
But he had never seen Fu Yu like this… almost gentle.
No, perhaps he had. In this moment, Bai You’s mind drifted. He remembered many times when he had cleaned the wounds of a young, bloodied Fu Yu. Back then, the scrawny boy would lie quietly by his side, curled up like a kitten, sleeping peacefully through the afternoon. When he woke up, he would rub his eyes and smile at him.
In that brief lapse of focus, he was placed on the bed. By the time he snapped back to reality, it was too late.
The spray rolled away into the depths of the large bed. His neck was bitten once again. The Alpha’s dominance was powerful and overwhelming, but his hand stroking Bai You’s back was a form of comfort. He spoke nonchalantly, “I don’t care if you’re ugly. Be good, and I’ll take you home tomorrow.”
Bai You’s mind was in a haze. Perhaps he, too, was being controlled by the heat and pheromones he so despised. When Fu Yu pulled him into an embrace and kissed him, he didn’t pull away.
By the time it was all over, Bai You was drained. He lay across Fu Yu, feeling the powerful heartbeat beneath the smooth skin. He tightened his grip on the spray he had managed to retrieve.
“You,” Bai You’s eyes slowly turned cold. He leaned down, his lips brushing against Fu Yu’s ear. He spoke in a hoarse whisper. “If you want to take me back, you have to deal with someone for me.”
Fu Yu raised an eyebrow, about to respond, when a thick, sweet fragrance hit his nose. A heavy, irresistible wave of sleep crashed over him instantly.
Bai You whispered several things into his ear. After a moment, hearing Fu Yu’s breathing even out into a deep sleep, he sat up with a grimace. He sat on the edge of the bed for a long time, then pushed the window open to let the scent of lust and pheromones dissipate. He bent down and picked up his clothes one by one.
Returning to the bedside, he sliced the bedsheets into strips and tied Fu Yu to the bed. He stared down at him coldly for a moment, then tucked his knife away.
“This is the second time I’m letting you go,” he whispered.
There wouldn’t be a third.
