Older Brother - Chapter 15
Locking the doors and windows, of course, was never going to stop Fu Yu from entering the room.
When Bai You woke up the next morning, he was not at all surprised to find a hand draped over his waist.
The Alpha’s aggressive pheromones had already saturated him. The damp, hot sweat made his entire body uncomfortable, and the gland at the back of his neck was throbbing violently, screaming with a heated hunger for a bite from the Alpha behind him.
Lately, however, Fu Yu had inexplicably adopted the persona of a “rogue gentleman.” Aside from occasional wandering hands, he made no further transgressive moves.
This instead fanned the flames of Bai You’s starving instincts. Despite having a perfect pheromone match right beside him, he was repeatedly left with only a shallow taste. It was like parched wood being slow-roasted, gradually searing his sanity away.
His instinct was a traveler dying in a desert, thirsting until his throat felt like it was on fire.
But regardless of the circumstances, it was impossible for Bai You to beg Fu Yu for pheromones to satisfy it.
He kept his eyes closed, the veins on his forehead bulging slightly as he gritted his teeth. He refused to let a single sign of his distress leak out, struggling to control his breathing in an attempt to suppress his restless pheromones and the damned, unwanted… lust they had stirred.
“Is it very difficult to endure?”
Fu Yu’s amused voice suddenly rang out right against his ear. Like a bolt of lightning, it sent a jolt through Bai You. He immediately rolled over, intending to scramble off the bed, only to be seized by the waist and pinned back down.
He tumbled onto the soft, oversized bed. During the struggle, the belt of his bathrobe had come loose and messy. Fu Yu held him firmly in his embrace, his other hand exploring with a touch that brooked no refusal.
His morning voice was deep and husky as it flowed into Bai You’s ear, sounding like a devil coaxing his prey: “Why endure it? Why restrain yourself like that? Omegas are born to be marked by Alphas. I am an Alpha with a one hundred percent pheromone match for you. Is asking me for help really that humiliating?”
The disparity in strength was too great. Bai You was completely unable to break free. As he was touched in his most vulnerable spots, his expression shifted drastically, turning a shade of red like a cooked shrimp. He curled up like a cat, yet he couldn’t stop the invasion. Gritting his teeth, he couldn’t hold back a gasping moan: “…Ugh… Are you… out of your mind? I’m the brother who watched you grow up!”
He shouted those last few words.
Fu Yu did not stop his movements, exhibiting a kind of elegant, composed cruelty. His sharp canines drew close to the Omega’s soft, sweet gland, dangerously and gently grazing against it. Feeling the suppressed tremors of the body in his arms, he lowered his voice, as if sharing a secret no one else knew. His tone was soft and sweet: “Then you should belong to me even more.”
Bai You’s body shivered, his breathing grew heavy, and his mind went blank.
Because of what happened in bed that morning, breakfast was spent in a cloud of low pressure.
The Alpha looked thoroughly pleased, occasionally casting a smiling glance toward his companion.
On the other hand, the steak on Bai You’s plate was being hacked into tiny bits, each stroke of the knife carrying a palpable murderous intent. It made the old butler’s eyelids twitch. The good mood he had gained from a rare, undisturbed night of sleep vanished, replaced once again by worry for the household’s future.
“Brother,” Fu Yu said after finishing his meal. He didn’t seem in a hurry to leave as usual. His tone was light. “If you have nothing planned, I’ll take you out to relax today.”
Bai You didn’t even look up. “Another gala?”
Fu Yu smiled, resting his chin on his hand with apparent sincerity. “You don’t like those places. I won’t make you go to them anymore.”
“Should I be touched and grateful?” Bai You sneered, setting down his knife and fork with a listless lack of appetite.
Lately, he’d had no appetite and his energy was low. Consequently, his attitude toward Fu Yu had grown increasingly blunt, even discarding the last shred of wary fear he had held when he was still masquerading as an Alpha.
Beyond the irritability caused by the pheromones, he was testing the limits of Fu Yu’s tolerance.
The Alpha, having enjoyed himself that morning, indeed did not get angry. His temperament seemed so good that it almost made Bai You look like the unreasonable one.
Most of the time, Fu Yu acted this way in front of Bai You. However, his tolerance was more like a powerful lion watching its prey with amused interest bloody and cruel. Bai You knew very well that Fu Yu was merely composed because he held all the power.
Thinking of his conversation with Tang Xu, Bai You looked away with a hint of agitation.
He had agreed to create a vulnerability in Fu Yu’s defenses so Tang Xu could find an opening—Tang Xu had promised it wouldn’t be life-threatening or a fundamental threat to Fu Yu.
That was the promise, but Bai You knew Tang Xu was a cunning Alpha. He wasn’t some innocent, naive fool who would follow Tang Xu’s plan to the letter. He had demanded that Tang Xu find a way to remove the shackle on his ankle as a gesture of sincerity.
The moment this broken ring was off, he would disappear and never return. These two Alphas could fight as much as they wanted.
Bai You lowered his head apathetically, continuing to mince his beef into a paste.
“Alright,” Fu Yu finally spoke, rescuing the mangled steak. “Brother, if you keep cutting, it truly won’t be able to rest in peace. Not even the most efficient executioner has a blade as sharp as yours.”
He stood up, smiling charmingly like a handsome lover inviting his partner: “Shall we go?”
Bai You had no choice.
He didn’t want to go out with Fu Yu at all. He only wanted to stay in his studio, monitoring the situation and waiting for a message from his subordinates or Tang Xu before making his next move. But the moment Fu Yu spoke, he lost the power to refuse.
He didn’t need to use suppressants today.
The Alpha’s temporary marking had locked his pheromones tightly within his body. Unless someone was extremely rude and sniffed directly around his nape, his original scent would remain undetectable.
Bai You twisted his neck with a frown, thinking that Fu Yu was absolutely terrible at giving temporary marks.
Having lived as an Alpha for over a decade, he had naturally taken basic physiology classes for Alphas in secondary school. He possessed a deep understanding of the theory; marking an Omega didn’t require biting so deep. One was supposed to balance the pain with the pleasure of pheromonal bonding.
Only an inexperienced, clumsy brat would make such a mess.
Garbage Alpha.
As he turned his head, the movement tugged at his wounded gland, causing a sharp pain to shoot through his neck. Bai You’s lips moved as he cursed silently. He stubbornly looked away, leaning against the car window to take a nap, pretending the Alpha beside him didn’t exist.
When the car eventually stopped, the slight jolt of inertia caused him to snap awake. He realized he had actually fallen asleep.
And he was in someone’s arms.
The Alpha’s childishness was omnipresent. Bai You opened his eyes to find Fu Yu observing his face with apparent fascination, as if he had been watching him for a long time.
“What are you doing?”
Fu Yu smiled brightly. “Brother, you’re such a striking beauty. When you were away at school, were there many people pursuing you?”
Bai You had no intention of entertaining him. He pushed Fu Yu’s hand away and sat up, looking out the window. A flash of shock crossed his eyes.
Fu Yu had brought him to his mother’s former home.
The home of his eldest uncle.
Bai You had only been here once or twice.
His mother had been someone who was discarded by her family, used, and then discarded again. He had no affection for this place. After his mother passed away, he had come here once, hoping to retrieve her belongings.
The result, of course, was exactly what one would expect—he was mocked and sent packing.
Even now, arriving here caused a psychological wave of nausea.
Fu Yu leaned over, pressing one hand against the car door, his voice as cheerful as ever: “Does it look familiar? I heard the master of this house sent an Omega to seduce an Alpha. As fate would have it, retribution came quickly—the Omega fell from the balcony, broke their leg, and was turned away by the hospitals. Now they’re stuck miserably in bed at home.”
His tone was affectionate, though his words were anything but kind.
Bai You’s eyelid twitched as he recalled the lie he had told out of desperation at the gala when his camouflage failed. He had lied to Fu Yu, claiming he was an Omega sent by his uncle.
Since Fu Yu had seen through him, he hadn’t brought it up. he never expected the man had been waiting for this moment.
