Obsessive Love, The Possessive Real Young Lady - Chapter 56
In the dimly lit movie theater, as Su Sui leaned in intimately to kiss Shen Jiayan, the screen was replaced by a sea of stars.
“Did you see the stars?” Su Sui asked vaguely.
Shen Jiayan opened her eyes and saw the male lead saying to the female lead under a starry sky, “We truly are a pair of freaks.”
Was this what Su Sui wanted to tell her?
If so, it was a coincidence. She thought the same thing.
Shen Jiayan pinched Su Sui’s chin, her lips intentionally brushing against Su Sui’s. “But where are my stars?”
Su Sui’s lips were tickled unbearably by this little pest, and she chased after the little pest to bite her.
But the little pest was exceptionally mischievous, dodging her first, and not forgetting to raise an eyebrow at her in triumph.
Su Sui grabbed her collar and pulled her close, giving her a punitive nip on the corner of her lip.
Then, she held Shen Jiayan’s hand, interlocking their fingers, and guided her hand to make a grasping motion on the black screen.
Coincidentally, the male protagonist on the screen was also holding the female lead’s hand, drawing something towards the starry sky.
Shen Jiayan glanced over and happened to see the stars connected to form the shape of an umbrella.
Then, many stars glowing with faint light actually began to fall from the cinema ceiling.
Shen Jiayan was mesmerized.
Su Sui then straddled her lap, completely blocking Shen Jiayan’s view.
The light and shadow from the scene changes, like a revolving lantern, enveloped her body. Shen Jiayan felt these lights and shadows turn into tiny, bright diamonds, sparkling and falling on various parts of her body.
Su Sui’s kiss spread from her lips to her collarbone, and then slowly followed gravity down her neck.
Like an angel falling to the mortal world, falling covered in blood, hiding in the dense forest.
Powerless, she could only keep licking the blood flowing from the wounds to self-heal and self-comfort.
“They are so beautiful.”
The line seemed to come from beneath the clouds, or perhaps from within her own bones. Shen Jiayan heard it somewhat fuzzily.
Su Sui asked, “Did you catch the stars?”
Shen Jiayan’s raised arms trembled slightly, and her legs tensed up. She squeezed out a sentence from deep in her throat, “Al-almost.”
The movie completely turned into the soundtrack for them catching stars, with tense and exciting gunfights accompanied by the old trope of a car chase in an American movie.
Then came the male lead, overly startled, hiding behind a door while his worried wife knocked and inquired from outside…
The movie ended, and Shen Jiayan had caught a handful of stars. Perhaps because she had been standing with her legs braced for too long, her waist and legs were sore, and walking felt a bit shaky.
Her strange gait caused the cinema staff to look back at her frequently.
This made Shen Jiayan feel a bit ashamed and annoyed, and she silently turned the dial to the highest setting.
However, this retaliation did not fall upon Su Sui. Instead, Shen Jiayan’s legs went weak, and she almost collapsed to the ground.
Shen Jiayan secretly cursed: Damn woman! Playing dirty!
Su Sui supported her. “What’s wrong?”
Shen Jiayan glared at her, gritted her teeth, and didn’t speak, reaching out her hand to search for the switch.
But she didn’t know that Su Sui had smoothly pocketed the switch earlier.
And Su Sui, with a face full of smiles, was quietly gazing at her.
Damn it, she’s such a cheap and crazy woman.
That night, Shen Jiayan gifted Su Sui a set of pillows and blankets and kicked her out. Of course, she also included the pink little underpant that had tormented her the whole time and was covered in moisture stains.
Su Sui knocked on the door from outside. “Jiayan, open the door. Isn’t it enough that I said I was wrong?”
Wrong is wrong, so how could it not be enough?
“Your attitude in admitting fault isn’t sincere at all.”
Shen Jiayan finished speaking, took a bite of an apple, and leaned on the bed to send a message to Gao Wei.
[How have you been lately? Are you feeling better? Are the post-operative reactions still strong?]
After sending it, she realized it was already 11:15 PM. Gao Wei must have been asleep by now.
But the reply came instantly.
Gao Wei: [Sister, have you returned to the country? How can you text now?]
And then several messages in a row.
Gao Wei: [Sister, why didn’t you come to see me when you got back? Crying GIF]
Gao Wei: [Sister, I miss you. Sister, please come see me quickly. So many reporters suddenly came to the hospital to interview me, surrounding me every day, asking this and that. I’m about to break down. Crying GIF]
Shen Jiayan looked at the string of messages and sighed: This girl’s temperament, as always, is too impatient.
She tapped the screen with her fingertip: [Okay, I’ll come see you tomorrow.] Just as she was about to send it, Su Sui’s jealous face flashed in her mind.
She had only promised Su Sui yesterday that she wouldn’t visit Gao Wei for a few days. It had only been one day, and now she was rushing to visit Gao Wei, which seemed inappropriate. Setting aside Su Sui’s temperament, even just on principle, it would make her unhappy.
But Gao Wei knew she was back in the country. If she didn’t go to the hospital to see her…
That stubborn girl might once again curl up pitifully in the corner of her bed, silently shedding tears, suspecting that she, too, was about to leave her.
During those days, the bar was preparing to open, and she was so busy that she was in a state where she could fall asleep the second she hit the bed. She really couldn’t spare the time to visit Gao Wei in the hospital during that period.
After leaving her alone in the hospital for several days, and after she brought Gao Wei home from the hospital, Gao Wei’s condition wasn’t quite right. She didn’t eat well, didn’t take her medicine properly, just stayed curled up in bed, didn’t play with her cat, and didn’t go out to sunbathe. Even the director mother she loved most came to visit, and she was indifferent. Her entire state was extremely decadent.
Finally, after she talked to Gao Wei for a very, very long time, and even lost her temper over it, Gao Wei tearfully explained the whole story.
After hearing Gao Wei out, her heart was filled with both regret and pain.
She never expected that her slightest oversight could cause Gao Wei such great harm.
From then on, no matter how busy or tired she was, she made time to accompany Gao Wei.
Facing this dilemma, Shen Jiayan hesitated for a long time. Finally, amidst the “click” sound of the lock’s gear turning, she sent the message.
Shen Jiayan quickly put away her phone, grabbed a pillow nearby, and threw it at the sneaking Su Sui. “I haven’t forgiven you yet! Who allowed you in!”
Who knew that with this throw, the little toys in Su Sui’s arms were scattered all over the floor. Immediately after, Su Sui, dressed in a full cat costume, plopped down on her knees in front of her.
She knelt on the floor, twisting her body, and imitated a cat licking its paw, blinking at Shen Jiayan. “Meow~”
It was simply to die for.
The next morning, as the first ray of sunlight secretly crept through the glass window and sprinkled quietly onto the floor while people were still fast asleep, a slender, pale foot tiptoed across the sunlight, slowly moving toward the door. As her steps approached, her thin clothes made soft rustling sounds as they rubbed against the air.
Su Sui squinted her dark eyes at that foot, her lips pressing together even more tightly.
Only when the foot got very close to the door did she pretend to just wake up, sit up, and look at Shen Jiayan, who was hunched over, preparing to sneak out. “Good morning, Jiayan.”
As she greeted her, she stood up, walked to Shen Jiayan’s side, and hugged her.
Su Sui’s soft voice carried the laziness of just waking up. She lowered her head, getting close to Shen Jiayan’s neck to sniff, as if to verify if the scent of her body wash was the one she had specifically chosen.
Indeed, the faint scent of pine drifting under her nose instantly improved Su Sui’s mood. There were actually many bottles of different brands and scents of body wash in the bathroom. There was Shen Jiayan’s favorite peach scent, and there was the common lavender and lemon scent, interspersed with her most favorite pine scent.
It seemed Shen Jiayan did care about her. It’s just that this heart of Shen Jiayan’s wasn’t just for her alone. The person who usually slept until the sun was high in the sky got up unusually early today, probably wanting to sneak out to the hospital to check on that short-lived ghost while she was still sleeping.
She had only focused on accompanying her for one day, and she was already this impatient?
Su Sui changed from sniffing to biting, leaving a series of deep, red marks on Shen Jiayan’s neck.
Shen Jiayan yelped in pain and stomped her feet, cursing her as a dog despite her usual composure.
Su Sui smiled, the corners of her eyes curved, and her visible left eye sparkled.
She looked up at Shen Jiayan, her tone melodious, her words like strung pearls. “Compared to some people who always think about going out to find a dog, what I’m doing is barely dog-like at all.”
Having said that, she didn’t forget to pinch Shen Jiayan’s waist.
Quick and hard, the merciless kind.
“Hiss… That hurts…” Shen Jiayan cried out in pain. “Dog Su Sui, you dare to pinch me!” She raised her hand, intending to strike back.
However, Su Sui grabbed her wrist.
Su Sui’s other hand pinched Shen Jiayan’s chin. “Let me tell you, if you are half-hearted towards me, I can’t guarantee what I might do.”
She spoke very slowly, as if she were just discussing what to have for breakfast with Shen Jiayan.
But Shen Jiayan could still hear the underlying danger.
She slapped Su Sui’s hand away. “Don’t worry, I am completely devoted to you.”
There was no falsehood in Shen Jiayan’s words, but she was indeed a bit slow when it came to emotions.
Su Sui huffed softly. “I hope so.”
After saying this, she turned and went to the washroom.
Shen Jiayan watched her retreating back for a long time before finally deciding to follow her.
When she entered, Su Sui was picking up a toothbrush, squeezing out toothpaste, and placing the cup on the washstand. She took the opportunity to wrap her arms around Su Sui’s waist from behind, resting her chin in the crook of Su Sui’s shoulder. “What do you want to eat? I’ll go out and buy groceries to make you breakfast.”
“No need, I’ve already ordered takeout.” Su Sui put the toothbrush in her mouth and chewed with a satisfied expression.
Shen Jiayan froze for a second, immediately understanding Su Sui’s meaning. She frowned and said disapprovingly, “How can I always spend your money? Besides, takeout can’t taste as good as what I make myself.”
“I’m not short of this little money.” Su Sui put the cup back on the table, then turned and grinned at her. “Don’t even think about sneaking out to see Gao Wei.”
Shen Jiayan’s gaze fell on the two of them reflected in the mirror.
Damn it, seen through at a glance again.
Shen Jiayan turned her face away and simply resorted to being difficult. “I already said, she’s my sister. How can a sister not visit her sister when she’s sick in the hospital?”
Su Sui’s actions paused, and she looked at Shen Jiayan through the mirror, taking a deep breath.
Yesterday when she bought the movie tickets, the caregiver aunt messaged her that Fu Jing had gone to find Gao Wei again.
At this time, both she and Shen Jiayan must hide.
