Obsessive Love, The Possessive Real Young Lady - Chapter 51
“I’m not threatening you,” Gao Wei clutched the strap of her backpack, saying in a calm tone, “I thought about it all night. I ultimately feel that neither of us has the right to make decisions for Shen Jiayan.”
Saying this, she turned her head to look outside.
The wind was blowing fiercely, mixed with rain, beating against the glass with a whistling sound.
Her profile was hidden in the dim and gloomy weather, her expression unreadable. “So, I hope you can calm down and consider it carefully. Then go and ask Shen Jiayan’s opinion yourself. This way, it won’t be bad for you or for Shen Jiayan.”
Su Sui knew very well that what Gao Wei said was reasonable, but what could be done?
After all, if this matter were to be taken to ask Shen Jiayan’s opinion, it would certainly be impossible to implement.
If it weren’t for this, why would she have gone to such great lengths to trick her out of the country, and even bring this troublesome person along, causing herself so much heartache?
Furthermore, why would she need to ask for anyone’s opinion for the things she wanted to do?
Even if that person was Shen Jiayan, all she could do was sit on high, smiling and accepting everything offered to her with both hands.
“Stop pretending, okay? Is it that hard to admit you’re afraid of death?”
A sarcastic smile played on Su Sui’s lips, “If you want me to ask Jiayan’s opinion, then why did you only dare to stand on Jiayan’s right side and mouth the words ‘I love her’?”
Shen Jiayan was her soft spot.
This was something Su Sui had understood long ago.
But she still chose to use this to provoke Gao Wei.
Therefore, she brought up those times when, under countless circumstances Gao Wei thought were unnoticeable to others, she would hide in Shen Jiayan’s blind spot, revealing her dirty, unspeakable feelings again and again, prying into what did not belong to her.
As expected, when Gao Wei heard those two words, her expression immediately changed, and her pupils constricted.
“You… What nonsense are you talking about?”
By the time Gao Wei reacted, she immediately denied it, her eyes flickering with panic.
Su Sui glanced at her indifferently, lightly parting her thin lips, “Oh? Is that so? Don’t you know better than me whether I’m speaking nonsense?”
Her tone remained casual. But the words, when heard, carried a kind of aggressive pressure.
Gao Wei clenched her fists.
“If you insist on doing this, then I have no choice but to convey it on your behalf.”
Looking at Gao Wei, Su Sui faintly sensed the feeling of mutual destruction.
“At that time, I don’t know what your relationship will become. I only know that Shen Jiayan is still my sister, and she is my sister alone.”
Her voice was indifferent, without a hint of emotional fluctuation, which conversely brought a surge of unease to Su Sui’s heart.
“What do you mean, ‘then I’ll still be your sister alone’?” Shen Jiayan’s voice came from behind them.
Su Sui turned back to see her standing about 5 meters away, pushing her luggage cart, stopping to observe her and Gao Wei.
She was wearing a long white T-shirt that covered her light colored jeans, making her legs look even straighter. Her long hair was tied into a ponytail hanging behind her head, and she wore a black baseball cap, looking very fresh and capable. Only there was a hint of confusion in her brows.
Gao Wei looked at her and suddenly breathed a sigh of relief, “Sis,” and walked toward her.
Su Sui also called out, “Jiayan.”
The two’s eyes met, as if looking at each other across a distance, or perhaps looking into each other’s hearts through each other.
“Didn’t you two go to the restroom? Why are you here?” Shen Jiayan glanced at Gao Wei, then looked at Su Sui, “You made me look for you everywhere.”
Su Sui slightly lowered her eyes, “Gao Wei just said she felt a little unwell, so I brought her here for some fresh air.”
Gao Wei glanced at Su Sui, then smiled and linked arms with Shen Jiayan, “And we chatted for a bit.”
Hearing her say that, Su Sui looked at Gao Wei again, and only withdrew her gaze when she saw there was no follow-up.
However, Shen Jiayan had taken in all their actions. She had overheard some of their conversation when she came over.
In summary, it seemed Su Sui was about to do something behind her back, and Gao Wei found out.
She didn’t hear what exactly it was.
Since the two of them intended to hide it, Shen Jiayan also found it difficult to be too direct in breaking that thin layer of paper.
After all, the fact that she and Su Sui could set aside these messy conflicts and get to where they were now was truly not easy.
She didn’t want this secret to shatter this peaceful atmosphere.
If they want to hide it, let them hide it. It would be best if they hid it from her for a lifetime; she would be happy to play the fool.
The flight was canceled, and the departure time was pending.
This was the news Su Sui brought back from the customer service desk, so the three of them returned to the hotel the same way they came to the airport.
When re-booking the rooms, Shen Jiayan stated that two rooms would be enough, the intention being very clear.
She loved Su Sui and enjoyed clinging to her.
She always felt that sticking together at all times was the only way to make up for the four years they had been apart.
And so, while Su Sui was taking a shower, she was already preparing to sneak in again.
But this time, Su Sui seemed to have been prepared, locking the bathroom door from the inside.
Shen Jiayan cursed under her breath at the door, “Stingy!” then sheepishly returned to the bed.
But lying on the bed, listening to the sound of running water, staring at the light halo projected onto the wall by the projection lamp, her thoughts kept drifting to the conversation between the two at the airport.
“Convey it on your behalf… What exactly could affect my relationship with Su Sui…”
She frowned, tossing and turning, various guesses surfacing in her mind.
However, her thoughts became more and more chaotic, and she couldn’t concentrate at all.
Shen Jiayan irritably picked up the pillow and hit it hard.
Knock knock
A knock sounded from outside the door.
When Shen Jiayan got up to open the door, the bathroom door opened with a click.
Su Sui walked out, fully dressed, not even a strand of her hair wet. “I’ll go open it, you rest.”
Shen Jiayan: “…”
She stared blankly at Su Sui’s retreating figure. Wasn’t she supposed to be taking a shower?
When Su Sui returned, she was pushing a dining cart. On the cart were a bouquet of red roses, two bottles of red wine, some Western food, and two unlit candles.
She set everything out one by one, then took out the red wine, opened it, and lit the candles.
“Do you like it?” Su Sui handed her a glass of red wine.
Shen Jiayan took it and smiled, “I like it.”
Su Sui sat beside her, poured her a glass of red wine, then raised her glass to toast her.
The wine glasses clinked with a crisp sound.
The two clinked glasses and drank it all down.
“The moon is quite nice tonight,” Su Sui gazed at the scenery outside the window.
Shen Jiayan followed her gaze and indeed, soft moonlight was already surrounded by twinkling stars, dazzling and brilliant. “I remember you didn’t drink before.”
Su Sui smiled, “I didn’t drink before because I was afraid you would get drunk, worried that others wouldn’t be able to take good care of you.”
“But tonight…” She smiled lightly, “I suddenly felt like drinking.”
Shen Jiayan looked at her, “Why did you suddenly want to drink?”
She swirled the wine glass, her gaze fixed on the bright, tempting liquid. “I’m thinking, in the future, I probably won’t drink again.”
At least not drink with you peacefully like today.
Su Sui smiled, moved closer to her, and used her slender finger to lift Shen Jiayan’s chin, her gaze gentle and lingering. “I will protect you.”
Shen Jiayan hummed softly, “I don’t need you to protect me, I need you to love me.”
She brought the wine glass closer to her lips and tilted her head back, drinking it all down again.
The alcohol content was not high; it was even considered mild. As she drank, Shen Jiayan gradually began to feel drowsy.
Su Sui noticed this, immediately put down her own wine glass, and supported her.
Shen Jiayan looked up, her hazy eyes staring intently at her, “Su Sui, has my tolerance for alcohol gotten worse? Why do I suddenly feel so sleepy?”
Her tone was soft and sweet. If it were in the past, with her gentle and soft questioning like this, Su Sui would have definitely responded immediately.
But now, until she completely fell unconscious, she hadn’t heard the other person’s reply.
In the dim night, amidst the heavy rain, a Land Rover SUV was driving on the road.
Inside the car, Shen Jiayan was quietly leaning on Su Sui’s shoulder, breathing evenly.
And Gao Wei was thrown onto the passenger seat, securely tied up.
Mo Chenlin glanced in the rearview mirror. “A madman is truly a mad man, you’re even using anesthetic twice.”
As the car jolted slightly, Shen Jiayan’s head tilted. Su Sui reached out to support her, and casually tucked a few stray strands of hair near her cheek behind her ear.
Gao Wei’s legs were fixed by ropes, and her mouth was covered with tape, letting out muffled shouts, trying to break free.
Mo Chenlin glanced at her and continued to focus on driving.
Shen Jiayan slept for a very, very long time this time. It was like she was in a long dream.
In the dream, she vaguely heard Gao Wei crying out her name, and in a daze, she saw that mysterious woman of unknown origin, and a middle-aged man in a white coat, shining a small flashlight into her eyes repeatedly.
When she struggled to wake up, she found herself securely fastened to an operating table.
The operating room lights were on, and the blinding light shone directly into her eyes, causing great discomfort.
She closed her eyes but heard the cold, piercing hum of the instrument beside her ear.
She tried to sit up, but couldn’t move, as if trapped in an ice cellar. The cold seeped in, making her whole body tremble, her teeth chattering non-stop.
She subconsciously called out Su Sui’s name.
But her voice only summoned a nurse, whom she heard speaking to someone on the other end in a language she couldn’t understand.
Shen Jiayan followed the nurse’s gaze and saw the person she had just called out lying quietly on the operating table, allowing a doctor-like figure to make incisions on her right eye with a scalpel. Bright red blood kept pouring out.
In that instant, Shen Jiayan finally understood.
She understood what the secret Su Sui and Gao Wei were hiding at the airport was about.
She understood that what Su Sui said about returning the eye to her was not just empty talk.
Shen Jiayan’s tears instantly blurred her vision. She hoarsely said to the person, “No, stop, stop it!”
But the people around her couldn’t understand what she was saying.
She tried to reach out to stop them, only then realizing that her hand was tightly grasped by the anesthetized Su Sui.
She couldn’t break free no matter how hard she tried, she could only watch helplessly as the cold blade continuously hurt Su Sui.
“Su Sui!” Shen Jiayan screamed in pain, “Su Sui, who allowed you to do this!”
Soon, Shen Jiayan’s vision was blocked by a doctor holding a face mask.
A breathing mask was placed over her, and the strong smell of medicine immediately rushed into her body.
As she struggled violently, she lost consciousness and fainted.
By then, Su Sui’s retina had been removed, and the person who took the cornea became her Shen Jiayan.
