Obsessive Love, The Possessive Real Young Lady - Chapter 40
Shen Jiayan understood perfectly what Su Sui wanted to do.
She clenched her fists, glaring fiercely at the harmless, delicate looking woman in front of her, who was actually a maniac from the inside out.
“Su Sui!!”
“Hush.” Su Sui walked up to her, “Reason doesn’t depend on volume; you taught me that.”
Saying this, she took Shen Jiayan’s hand and interlocked their fingers tightly. “Jiayan, help me change my dressing first. Later, I want to eat the breakfast you made, and then I want to sit on the swing with you and soak up the sun. The usual routine: you play games, I read a book…”
Shen Jiayan couldn’t listen any further. She pulled her hand away, shoved Su Sui, and then watched as Su Sui’s entire body tumbled towards the glass cabinet.
With a loud “CRASH,” the glass shattered everywhere.
Su Sui fell amidst the mess, her exposed skin was almost all scraped, especially her forehead. Bright red blood streamed down her temple, making her look utterly pitiful.
Shen Jiayan froze, looking blankly at her own hands, then numbly at Su Sui lying in the mess, too shocked to utter a word.
In that instant, she was certain she hadn’t pushed hard at most, she had pushed Su Sui a few steps away; there was no way she could have knocked her over so dramatically.
But the reality was, Su Sui had not only been knocked over but was also injured.
Before Shen Jiayan could come to her senses, a large bodyguard was already in front of her, reaching out to grab her.
“Stop! Don’t touch her!” Su Sui shouted, simultaneously moving quickly to Shen Jiayan’s side to shield her from the bodyguard. “We don’t need you here. Get out!”
The bodyguards were clearly obedient to Su Sui. Hearing her command, they immediately retreated.
Su Sui gazed at her, her eyes flowing with tenderness. “Don’t be afraid, I’ve already made them leave.”
After speaking, she turned to the housemaid who was standing stunned nearby and said, “Send Mr. Shen back.”
After Shen Wenshan was escorted away, only she and Shen Jiayan remained on the first floor of the villa. Su Sui instantly felt much more relaxed.
“How did you become this mess?” Shen Jiayan finally recovered and couldn’t help but frown.
If she wasn’t mistaken…
Su Sui had done that on purpose just now; she deliberately made herself fall onto the glass cabinet.
She deliberately injured herself to show her.
The sole purpose was simply to prevent her from leaving, to stop her from going to accompany Gao Wei.
Su Sui’s complexion was pale, and the blood had already stained half her face. She lowered her head, looking like a blooming rose bewitching yet fragile.
“If you don’t want to bandage me, that’s fine too,” she raised her head, pursing her lips, trying her best to look pitiable. “I’m a little hungry and want to eat the breakfast you made with your own hands, can I?”
As she spoke, she extended her right hand towards Shen Jiayan and gently tugged at her wrist, shaking it a few times.
Shen Jiayan looked at her wrist. The spot pricked by the glass had already started to seep blood.
She gritted her teeth slightly, enduring the churning feeling of reluctance in her heart.
She would not pay attention to Su Sui’s injuries.
She would not pay attention to Su Sui’s pitiful appearance.
She even chose to close her eyes, choosing not to look at Su Sui at all.
But Gao Wei’s words floated into her mind again: “Su Sui is also a patient, maybe try to be a little more patient with her…”
That scene seemed like a curse, clinging to her and refusing to dissipate.
Finally, Shen Jiayan sighed and shook her head.
Forget it.
Since she owed Su Sui something anyway.
“I’ll go get the first-aid kit. Wait for me here,” Shen Jiayan said, then turned to look for the kit.
However, her retreating figure looked exceptionally lonely.
Su Sui stood next to the sofa, quietly watching her back.
The corner of her mouth curved into a joyful arc, and her gaze grew hotter until her eyes curved into a smile.
Jiayan, in the end, you can’t bear to watch me die.
Su Sui kept a faint smile on her lips and sat quietly on the sofa, waiting for Shen Jiayan to return.
Shen Jiayan quickly returned with the first-aid kit.
She opened the box, took out the iodophor, gauze, and bandages, and meticulously bandaged Su Sui’s wounds.
Just as Shen Jiayan was dipping a cotton swab in iodophor to wipe Su Sui’s wound, Su Sui suddenly grasped her hand.
Shen Jiayan glanced up at her, her tone slightly unfriendly: “Let go.”
Su Sui didn’t speak, still gripping Shen Jiayan’s hand tightly. Her face moved close to Shen Jiayan’s, their noses touching, their breaths mingling ambiguous and intoxicating.
Shen Jiayan frowned, and with her free hand, she forcefully pushed her away.
With just that push, Su Sui’s entire back hit the sofa. This instantly sent a burning pain through her already wounded back.
Su Sui’s complexion paled slightly, but she seemed accustomed to the pain, instead forming a smile.
This smile, however, looked exceptionally grating in Shen Jiayan’s eyes.
Even her movements became heavier; the tweezers pressed the glass shard a bit deeper into the flesh.
“Hiss,” followed by Su Sui’s suppressed groan. She even sat up abruptly, tightly grasping Shen Jiayan’s wrist with her hand.
A hint of grim satisfaction flashed across Shen Jiayan’s brow.
She thought: So you actually know how to feel pain.
Regardless of her internal complaints, Shen Jiayan maintained an innocent expression on her face. “What’s wrong? Did I hurt you?”
Su Sui tightly knitted her brows, her beautiful fox like eyes filled with mist, appearing on the verge of tears and looking incredibly pitiable, which caused Shen Jiayan’s heart to soften slightly. But then she thought again this crazy woman was definitely faking it.
With this thought, the small bit of pity in her heart instantly vanished.
Su Sui pursed her lips and managed to force out a smile. “It doesn’t hurt.”
“Since it doesn’t hurt, then let go,” Shen Jiayan pulled her gaze back. “Holding on interferes with my work.” As she spoke, she continued to treat Su Sui’s injuries in her unique manner.
After more than an hour, Shen Jiayan removed the last piece of bloody glass shard and casually tossed it into the trash can. Without looking at Su Sui, who was biting her lip so hard she almost drew blood, she went into the kitchen to prepare breakfast for her.
