Obsessive Love, The Possessive Real Young Lady - Chapter 31
The morning rain tapped a pattering sound on the leaves, a natural white noise that could actually have a good effect on inducing sleep.
But Shen Jiayan, after returning late at night and lying in bed, tossed and turned, unable to sleep.
The temperature in the room wasn’t high; even under a thin quilt, she felt a little cold. However, her lips felt scorching hot. As soon as she closed her eyes, her mind was filled with the kiss under the firelight.
Frenzied, scorching hot… making her feel as if she were in a sea of lava, burning her skin until it ached intolerably.
But it was precisely within that intense heat that she felt an unprecedented sense of security, as if it were etched onto some part of her body, requiring only the slightest touch to sense that thrilling palpitation.
She loved that feeling; she loved it deep down in her bones.
Thinking back now, she didn’t know how to describe her state of mind at that moment. She only felt that if she hadn’t met Gao Wei, perhaps she would have first knocked A-Ji out with a club, and then succumbed with Su Sui in the sea of fire, entwining with her…
Shen Jiayan’s lips curved upward into a faint smile.
But in the next instant, she was pulled back by reason.
No! Absolutely not!
There were too many problems between her and Su Sui it was absolutely impossible for them to be together now. Moreover, the current calm and stable life she had was not bad at all.
The only thing she should worry about now was how to send away Su Sui, that debt collector, so that she would completely give up any thought and never appear in her life again.
Shen Jiayan’s brow furrowed tighter the more she thought.
But what Su Sui was thinking, she could never guess.
To make her give up completely would probably be harder than climbing to the heavens.
How about… how about giving Gao Wei to the Director Mom, and then she leaves alone?
But doing so was too risky. Su Sui was unpredictable, and when she went mad, she disregarded all consequences. Perhaps she would even transfer her anger to Gao Wei…
That foolish woman had already suffered enough because of her. She absolutely could not drag her down to suffer together again. Otherwise, it would be too ungrateful for the sworn sisterhood they had sworn under the bright moon.
After thinking for a long time, Shen Jiayan decided to talk to Su Sui. She immediately got up to get dressed.
Just as her clothes touched her body, the courtyard gate was knocked upon.
The crisp knocking sound was particularly abrupt in the small courtyard under the rain.
Outside the gate, Gao Wei and the woman she had picked up on the roadside were squeezed together under a floral umbrella. Maoqiu (the cat) was being swung back and forth in the woman’s hand, occasionally letting out a meow to signal for help.
Gao Wei, the owner, hesitated for a moment before finally deciding to put Maoqiu through some hardship.
After all, this woman had almost choked her to death not long ago.
How she regretted it then! Regretted why she had to go over and provoke this woman, nearly losing her life, and then being stuck with her. The woman wouldn’t answer anything she said, instead following her the entire way, impossible to shake off.
Simply lingering like a ghost.
However, speaking of this woman, she looked pitiful and her mental state wasn’t good. Leaving her outside like this made Gao Wei quite uneasy.
After some thought, she decided to bring the person home first and hand her over to the police officers once the police station opened.
“Creeeeak” The tightly shut courtyard gate opened.
“Sister!” Seeing Shen Jiayan, Gao Wei rushed forward as if she had seen a savior.
But halfway through her lunge, a force behind her pulled her back.
Gao Wei glanced at the woman beside her.
Had she just pulled her back?
“When did you run…” Shen Jiayan’s words were cut off by Su Sui’s indifferent face.
She looked again, at Gao Wei, who was almost half-soaked.
When did these two get together, and how?
Innumerable question marks flashed through Shen Jiayan’s mind.
Then she heard Gao Wei quietly explain: “Maoqiu ran out, so I went out to look for Maoqiu.”
The little fellow seemed to hear its name and struggled a few times in Su Sui’s hands, meowing.
Su Sui merely glanced at it, and Maoqiu immediately became too scared to move.
This scene, falling into Shen Jiayan’s eyes, overlapped with the shadowy figure standing in the dim corridor slicing a fish with a knife.
She couldn’t help but shudder, and a chill ran down her spine.
Shen Jiayan yanked Gao Wei back into the courtyard, glaring at her and muttering through gritted teeth, “You went to look for the cat. Why did you bring back a living person?”
Gao Wei hunched her shoulders, lowered her head, and dared not speak.
Su Sui, however, acted as if she hadn’t heard their conversation, walking straight into the house. As she passed them, she didn’t forget to shove Maoqiu back into Gao Wei’s hands.
This action made Gao Wei’s eyes go wide. She pointed a finger at Su Sui’s retreating back, “You, you, you…”
She stammered for a long time, not knowing what was appropriate to say. Thinking it over, she decided against it; after all, she was the one who brought the person back.
But when she looked at Shen Jiayan beside her, her sister seemed much calmer, watching the woman’s back with narrowed eyes, the look in her eyes growing deeper.
Shen Jiayan sighed: Having lived with Su Sui for 18 years, she had ultimately underestimated her shamelessness.
“You come in too. You’ll catch a chill and get a fever if you stay wet.”
After saying that, she followed Su Sui into the house. Gao Wei hugged Maoqiu and silently followed behind, not saying a word.
The three of them returned inside.
Gao Wei tossed Maoqiu next to the sofa and, fearing Shen Jiayan would scold her, immediately bolted towards her own room.
Leaving only Shen Jiayan and Su Sui in the living room.
Shen Jiayan turned on the light, and the dim room brightened considerably.
She looked at Su Sui’s dress, which was wet with sea sand and clinging to her body, and couldn’t help but frown slightly.
But in the end, she said nothing. After a moment of contemplation, she turned and walked into the bedroom to get a change of clothes.
“Go wash up.” Saying that, she handed Su Sui a towel, “After you wash, we’ll talk.”
“Talk about what?” Su Sui’s voice was as cool as ever. She kept her head down, her fingers constantly rubbing the towel in her hand, “Talk about me leaving? About me giving up, about me completely leaving your life?”
When she said the last sentence, she suddenly lifted her head, her eyes as deep as the ocean staring intently at Shen Jiayan, “Then, I’m sorry, but you might be disappointed. Because I will not leave you, nor will I give up on you.”
Shen Jiayan quietly watched Su Sui for a long time.
That familiar feeling returned.
No matter how much time passed, this feeling of being seen through in an instant was truly… as bad as ever.
However, since she had already been seen through.
Then she was more willing to admit it frankly.
Shen Jiayan smiled and snatched the towel away from Su Sui’s hand, “Since that’s the case, there’s nothing left for us to talk about. Please leave.”
“Where do you want me to go? Hmm?” Her final syllable was drawn out, hooking onto her eardrum like a barb.
Despite no movement or gesture, it inexplicably made Shen Jiayan’s heart rate suddenly speed up.
Even her gaze couldn’t help but drift to Su Sui’s slender neck as she appraised it.
Seizing the opportunity, Su Sui suddenly drew close, almost pressing against Shen Jiayan’s body, and whispered in her ear, “Do you want me to go back to the bedroom and kneel on the floor? Hmm? If so, I’d be happy to.”
Her breath brushed against her neck, causing Shen Jiayan to tremble.
“Su Sui, don’t force me to turn hostile.” Shen Jiayan forced a gentle, elegant smile onto her face.
But this smile, in Su Sui’s eyes, was so jarring it was making her go mad.
From the moment she entered this house, she had been assessing, assessing the place where Shen Jiayan lived.
There were clothes belonging to Shen Jiayan and another woman tossed on the sofa, a pair of identical teacups on the coffee table, a photo of the two of them happily making a ‘V’ sign stuck on the refrigerator, and even their scents intertwined in the air, simply inseparable.
Even without entering the bedroom or the kitchen and bathroom, she could guess that every corner of this house was crowded with the traces of Shen Jiayan living with another woman.
She was extremely jealous!
Jealous to the point of madness!
So jealous that she wished she could raze the entire house to the ground!
But she was also afraid.
Afraid that doing so would completely lose Shen Jiayan, so she had to suppress the beast roaring in her heart.
She had clearly tried very hard, tried very hard to accept that another woman had appeared in Shen Jiayan’s life.
But why?
Why did Shen Jiayan still want to drive her away!
It seemed that it was destined that their relationship could not accommodate a third person!
“Turn hostile?” Su Sui smiled faintly, her distinct black and white pupils fixed on her, “Didn’t you like me kneeling on the ground for you to humiliate before? Why has it changed now?”
As she spoke, her eyes drifted towards the room where Gao Wei was, “Is it because of her? Because of her, you changed, you no longer need me, you’ve become disgusted with me, is that right?”
“What nonsense are you spouting?” Shen Jiayan shoved her away, “Gao Wei has nothing to do with any of this. Besides, who I dislike when did it become your place to manage?”
Her eyes widened slightly, a hint of panic vaguely showing in her pupils.
This expression convinced Su Sui even more.
It turned out that Shen Jiayan was truly tired of her.
Heh.
Tired? Su Sui tugged at the corner of her mouth, a hint of mockery flashing in her eyes. But she wasn’t tired yet. How could their game end just because she said so? Wouldn’t her 27 years of feelings become a joke?
Su Sui pursed her lips and slowly walked up to Shen Jiayan.
She extended her arm, wrapped it around Shen Jiayan’s waist, and buried her head in Shen Jiayan’s chest. Leaning against her chest, she heard Shen Jiayan’s violently fluctuating breath, and a glint flashed in her eyes.
“Before, it wasn’t your place to manage. But now, that might not be the case.”
Su Sui’s voice still sounded indifferent, but Shen Jiayan could still detect a thick possessiveness in it. “Because you owe me this. From now on, you can only be mine. Understand?”
With that, Su Sui stood up straight, tightly gripping Shen Jiayan’s chin, looking at her with burning eyes, the look containing a threatening flavor.
It was as if the moment Shen Jiayan dared to say a single “no,” she could instantly make her disappear from this world.
And as Shen Jiayan looked at her, her gaze gradually turned cold, and the hand hanging by her side slightly clenched into a fist.
Status truly was a wonderful thing.
In the past, she relied on her status to suppress Su Sui and humiliate Su Sui.
Now Su Sui was relying on her status to counter and threaten her.
Shen Jiayan didn’t know how to describe this feeling, but she knew she was very uncomfortable at this moment, extremely displeased, and even began to miss that whip!
