Obsessive Love, The Possessive Real Young Lady - Chapter 19
More than half a month had passed since returning from the hospital. In the past few days, Shen Jiayan had been taking care of the less mobile Su Sui while also hiring a private detective to investigate exactly what Fu Jing and her son were up to.
However, the private detective had made absolutely no progress.
Shen Shihao, aside from showing up at the corporation to make his presence known, was either drinking at a bar until the early hours of the morning or spending the night at a hotel with women on both arms.
Not to mention Fu Jing, who almost never left the house.
Shen Jiayan noticed the nice weather outside and suggested taking Su Sui out for a walk in the garden.
As the two of them went downstairs, they saw Fu Jing still sitting in the living room, drinking coffee.
Seeing them descend, she only glanced up.
Then she lowered her head and looked at her phone, as if she hadn’t noticed them at all.
She really acts like this is her own home, anyone who didn’t know better would think she was the owner of this villa! Shen Jiayan complained in her heart.
She turned and said softly to Su Sui, “Slowly, don’t rush.”
“Mmm,” Su Sui replied, letting Shen Jiayan support her.
In fact, her leg was almost completely healed during this time. She had tried standing and walking without assistance.
Aside from a very slight, almost imperceptible pain, it didn’t affect her ability to walk independently at all.
But people are inherently greedy. She craved Shen Jiayan’s almost meticulous care, and she was even more attached to the warmth and peace of Shen Jiayan’s company.
If possible, she would rather her injury never heal, or even prefer to lie in bed forever.
“Oh, you two have such a good relationship.”
Fu Jing put down her coffee cup and looked at them.
“I just don’t know if this relationship is the sisterly affection of people who grew up together, or something that can’t see the light of day…”
She didn’t finish her sentence, but the suggestive tone was already very clear.
Su Sui distinctly felt the person supporting her involuntarily tighten her grip.
She slightly lowered her eyelashes, her eyes filled with chilling coldness.
Shen Jiayan took a deep breath, raised her eyes, and stared at Fu Jing: “Cousin was drunk last night and didn’t return until 2 a.m. It seems his injuries have healed. Auntie, shouldn’t you and your son leave? After all, Uncle is immobile and needs care. It doesn’t look good for you to stay in your brother-in-law’s villa all day.”
After retorting, she helped Su Sui leave, giving Fu Jing no chance to reply.
The two came to the garden.
Shen Jiayan first settled Su Sui on the swing under the tree and handed her a book: “Old rule, you…”
“I’ll read,” Su Sui took the book, “You play your game.”
Shen Jiayan was stunned for a moment, then smiled and sat cross legged beside Su Sui, took out her headphones, and started playing her game.
Fortunately, the swing was large enough to support both of them. When she got tired of playing, she would even use Su Sui’s legs as a pillow.
After all, Su Sui was quiet, and leaning on her was soft and very comfortable. Several times, she closed her eyes, listened to music, and just slept until dusk.
The two did their own things, and neither spoke another word.
However, Su Sui’s gaze, which seemed to be on the book page, was actually somewhat lost in thought.
She had a vague feeling that Fu Jing’s words just now were meant for her.
Could it be that Fu Jing had discovered something?
“What’s wrong? Is the book not good?” Shen Jiayan peeked at Su Sui: “You haven’t turned a page.”
Shen Jiayan’s words interrupted her thoughts.
“No,” Su Sui turned a page, “It’s just that I’ve already read this book.”
“Is that so? I’ll ask Aunt Su to get another one from the room and bring it over.”
As she spoke, she switched out of the game interface, found Aunt Su’s phone number, and called her. But after dialing three times in a row, Aunt Su’s phone remained unanswered.
“What is she doing?” Shen Jiayan irritably hung up the phone. “This Aunt Su is getting lazier and lazier. It’s one thing to be absentminded when doing things, but she’s always nowhere to be found. If she hadn’t been hired by Shen Wenshan, I would have made her pack up and leave long ago.”
Only after Shen Jiayan finished speaking did she realize she had said the wrong thing. No matter how unprofessional Aunt Su was, she was Su Sui’s mother. If she were driven away, wouldn’t Su Sui have to leave too?
She turned to look, and Su Sui indeed had her lips tightly pressed together, remaining silent.
“Forget it, you’ve read all the books at home anyway. I’ll go buy some for you, wait here.” Shen Jiayan awkwardly twitched her lips, got up, and walked towards the garage.
It wasn’t until she heard the roar of the car that Su Sui withdrew her gaze from the book page, sighed, got up, and slowly walked into the villa’s living room.
Fu Jing glanced at her, her eyes carrying a hint of smugness.
“Truly Shen Wenshan’s seed,” she said, pulling out the paternity test she always carried with her from her bag and handing it to Su Sui: “Quick to catch on, much better than that bastard.”
But Su Sui did not show the astonishment or confusion Fu Jing had expected, nor did she even look at the paternity test. Instead, she asked directly, “What do you want to get from me?”
This made Fu Jing both surprised and afraid.
The surprise was that Su Sui already knew she was Shen Wenshan’s daughter, the true rich miss of the Shen Corporation.
The fear was, since she knew, why was she willing to give up the Shen Corporation? And why could she maintain her usual indifference?
What exactly was Su Sui thinking?
Could Shen Jiayan really be that important to her?
More important than blood ties, more important than money and fame.
Impossible!!
Fu Jing immediately denied this thought. She had personally witnessed how Shen Jiayan had humiliated Su Sui like a dog. As an ordinary person, how could she not have a shred of resentment?
“Since the cat is out of the bag, I’ll be straightforward,” Fu Jing calmed herself down. “I’ll help you take back everything that belongs to you from Shen Jiayan, but after it’s done. You have to find a way to get Shen Shihao, your cousin, into the position of Vice Chairman. With Shen Wenshan’s affection for you, you can surely manage this small matter.”
“A small matter? So the position of Vice Chairman of the Shen Corporation is just a small matter in your eyes. It truly reflects the old saying, a person’s heart is never satisfied.” Su Sui walked past her and sat down on the sofa. “However, you may have found the wrong person. I have absolutely no interest in the Shen Corporation, nor in Shen Wenshan as a father.”
Fu Jing’s expression instantly froze.
Could it be that her meticulously planned scheme would just come to nothing?
She clenched her fists tightly, her nails digging into her palms, yet she felt no pain, only rage filling her mind.
No, absolutely not.
There must be another way.
Yes, there was one last trump card.
Thinking this, Fu Jing, with a gambling mentality, took out the developed photos from her bag and slammed them onto the coffee table.
These photos were originally a backup plan to completely drive Su Sui out of the Shen Corporation.
After all, an heir with a messy private life, entangled with the same sex, was a huge hidden danger for the development of the corporation. At that time, as long as Shen Shihao smoothed things over with the internal management and shareholders, Su Sui would definitely be ousted.
“Are you interested in this, then?” Fu Jing looked at Su Sui with a sinister smile. “Give these photos and the paternity test to Shen Wenshan together. Guess how he’ll deal with that bastard?”
Su Sui looked at the photo closest to her view.
She remembered it was May 20th. Shen Jiayan said she was taking her out to relax, but ended up getting drunk in a bar and, egged on by the crowd, shared a deep kiss with her.
Of course, Shen Jiayan, who had a bad temper when drunk, had long forgotten about it.
And the photo showed the exact moment Shen Jiayan was sitting on her lap, cupping her face, and kissing her deeply.
Even though it was a photo, Shen Jiayan’s slender waist, long neck, and soft, warm tongue… every detail was deeply etched in her memory.
If the situation weren’t so special, she would definitely collect this photo with great care.
Su Sui carefully concealed her emotions, appearing calm on the surface: “You’re showing your trump card so quickly?”
She paused, then added lightly, “However, this trump card poses no threat to me. You know very well how Shen Jiayan treated me. Whatever Shen Wenshan does to her, I see it as her just deserts.”
Fu Jing’s face became incredibly colorful, her mind still racing to figure out how to turn the tables.
Just as an idea surfaced.
Su Sui spoke her thoughts aloud: “Please don’t bring up sexual orientation, because that is even less of a threat to me.”
With that, she ignored Fu Jing’s increasingly ugly expression, glanced at Aunt Su hiding in the shadows and eavesdropping, and walked upstairs by herself.
Fu Jing was frozen in place, and only after a long while did she slowly snap back to reality.
“Crash!”
The coffee cup smashed onto the floor, scattering shards.
Though she didn’t want to admit it, she had lost, defeated by the daughter of that slut, Yang Xinjie!!
The more she thought about it, the angrier she got. Suddenly, a flash of ruthlessness crossed her eyes. She collected the scattered photos and the paternity test back into her bag, turned, and went up to her guest room on the third floor.
The bag was casually tossed onto the bed.
Fu Jing walked to the bedside, took out her phone, made a call, and after it connected, she lowered her voice and said, “Help me contact that person surnamed Lei. I want to buy two lives!!”
After hanging up, she stood by the window with her arms crossed, watching downstairs with an ominous gaze.
Yang Xinjie, oh Yang Xinjie, don’t blame me for being ruthless. It’s your daughter who is stubborn and doesn’t know what’s good for her!
When Shen Jiayan returned with the books, she found that Su Sui, who should have been waiting for her in the garden, was not there. So she looked around.
After searching the whole area, she finally found Su Sui asleep on the sofa in her own room.
Su Sui was leaning against the sofa, her eyes closed.
Shen Jiayan softly walked up to her and squatted down in front of her.
She stared at Su Sui’s face for a while, resisted the urge to poke her cheek, covered Su Sui with a blanket, and then left the room.
Coming to the living room, after making sure no one was around, Shen Jiayan reached out and felt for something under the coffee table.
Soon, her fingertips found the eavesdropping device that the private detective had helped her install not long ago.
