Obediently, Lean on my Shoulder - Chapter 7
Chapter 7
Rarely did Teng Ming take the initiative to cooperate, and coupled with Fan Ye’s rather large “demand,” Fan Ye began “harassing” Teng Ming again early in the morning after the previous night’s various tossings and turns.
Perhaps due to the new environment and the atmosphere of travel, the two felt as if they were back in the days of their first love. Although Teng Ming wanted to keep sleeping, he couldn’t withstand that thing of Fan Ye’s rubbing against his body, so he got up, washed, and came back.
The two had another round of “clouds and rain.”
“I feel like my body is being hollowed out by you…” Teng Ming said afterward.
Fan Ye said, “Hey, hey, I should be the one saying that!” After finishing his sentence, he pulled him in, hugging him tightly from behind, kissing his neck over and over again.
Although Teng Ming enjoyed kissing him, in order to avoid another “battle” breaking out, he kept his face turned to the side.
Fan Ye then quieted down, and the two embraced silently.
The morning sunlight hit the surface of Erhai Lake, and mottled shadows of light reflected on the glass. By their ears, there seemed to be the sound of wind and waves lapping…
How they wished to continue like this quietly and happily.
Unfortunately, it did not last long.
Fan Ye suddenly asked, “Wife, how was that new move of mine just now?”
Teng Ming was stunned. “What new move?”
Fan Ye said, “You know, that one the one that made you gasp incessantly and nearly lose control…”
“Oh” Teng Ming suddenly realized. “It was indeed quite good.”
Hearing this, Fan Ye said somewhat proudly, “I learned that when I was in Japan…” Before he finished his sentence, he stopped talking.
Why did he stop talking? Because he felt Teng Ming’s body suddenly stiffen after hearing those words.
Fan Ye wanted to explain something, but he felt that explaining would only make things less clear, so he remained silent.
After a few seconds of awkward atmosphere, Teng Ming got up, patted Fan Ye’s thigh, and said at the same time, “Get up and eat breakfast!”
Hearing that Teng Ming’s tone sounded quite normal, Fan Ye grabbed him, wanting to pin him to the bed and tease him further.
Unexpectedly, Teng Ming swatted his hand away. “Stop messing around. Get up and eat; I’m about to faint from hunger.” Having said that, he turned and walked into the bathroom.
Fan Ye felt that Teng Ming might not have cared, but how could Teng Ming not care? He thought back to a few months ago, when Fan Ye was filming in Japan, and that incident with the Japanese university student.
Regarding that matter, they had actually never had a good talk about it. After all, both of them understood the situation perfectly: one was willing to return to the right path, and the other was willing to continue accepting him.
But this incident had happened, after all, and it was no small matter. Not proactively talking about it was equivalent to leaving the problem hanging there.
Water continuously sprayed down from the showerhead. Teng Ming kept smoothing his hair back. He thought about how every movement Fan Ye had done to him had been done to other men on camera. Were those gasps of his real? Or were they fake? Has he truly made him feel pleasure?
…
Fan Ye listened to the splashing sound in the bathroom. He pulled back the quilt, briefly tidied up the “battlefield,” and prepared to go into the bathroom to wash with Teng Ming, but a phone call came.
Fan Ye took off his shorts and slipped naked into the bathroom, suddenly hugging Teng Ming from behind, grinding against his buttocks, letting Teng Ming writhe in a daze while his hands touched Teng Ming’s chest and gradually moved downward…
I’m afraid this fantasy of Teng Ming’s is about to be shattered, because after he finished his shower and came out wrapped in a bath towel, he didn’t see Fan Ye enter the bathroom; instead, he saw him wearing shorts, standing by the window making a phone call.
When Fan Ye saw Teng Ming come out, he signaled for him to wait a moment, saying he would finish the call soon.
Teng Ming nodded and dressed himself.
It was now after nine in the morning.
Teng Ming sat on a chair by the bed, staring blankly at the waters of Erhai. About five minutes passed, and Fan Ye still hadn’t finished the call; moreover, he seemed to have entered a state of flow, letting out occasional laughter.
Since this guesthouse provided breakfast only until ten o’clock, and seeing that it was nearly ten, Teng Ming stopped waiting for Fan Ye and walked out alone.
When Teng Ming left the room, he originally wanted to slam the door, but he still closed it gently, to the point that Fan Ye didn’t even notice he had gone out.
The small coffee bistro in the living room was where guests usually ate their meals. There were three booths, but at this moment, only one booth was occupied.
Their eyes met.
“Good morning.”
This person’s slightly long and wavy hair was casually messy, and the eyes behind the lenses sparkled with light. It was Li Shuren.
“Morning. You woke up this late too?” Teng Ming said.
Li Shuren nodded. “It was too comfortable, so I slept in.”
“Yeah! It’s a vacation, after all.” Teng Ming offered a smile, not wanting to engage in too much small talk, and walked toward another booth.
Li Shuren suddenly said, “Come sit on my side. I’m alone; they’ve all gone out to do an outdoor shoot.”
Teng Ming hesitated for a moment, then thought of the “vinegar jar” (jealous man) in his house.
Fan Ye is probably still happily talking on the phone right now, isn’t he?
Thinking of this, he sat down opposite Li Shuren.
The owner came out to ask Teng Ming what he wanted to eat and asked if it should be a portion for one or two. Teng Ming thought for a while and said, “Just make it for one for now.”
The owner nodded and left.
“What, has your partner not gotten up yet?” Li Shuren asked with a smile.
Teng Ming said, “He’s busy with his own things.”
Li Shuren nodded. “To be honest, I’m quite curious about the profession of a writer, especially a freelance writer.” After saying this, he looked at Teng Ming expectantly.
Teng Ming had already answered this question many times, but for the sake of your handsomeness, I’ll answer it for you one more time. “Actually, there’s nothing much to be curious about. You hand in your manuscripts within the specified time; the more you work, the more you earn. You don’t have to go to the office every day.”
Li Shuren said, “Wow, that sounds like a great lifestyle.”
Teng Ming gave a forced smile. “It’s alright. Every industry has its own hardships.”
Li Shuren said, “That’s definitely true. Actually, I’ve been thinking about becoming a freelance photographer, but I’ve never had the opportunity.”
Teng Ming said, “Hmm? Aren’t you a freelance photographer?”
Li Shuren shook his head. “Not yet. I work for a company and occasionally go back to shoot big features (major spreads).”
“Hearing ‘big features’ makes me think of those high-end fashion spreads,” Teng Ming said.
“Yes, yes, exactly that kind with a lot of ‘big’ style,” Li Shuren said. “I don’t know if you follow it, but that cover of Zhou Xun for Harper’s Bazaar last time was shot by me.”
“Wow! I didn’t follow it, but that sounds amazing!” Teng Ming was very surprised. “You’ve already shot for Harper’s Bazaar and Zhou Xun; you could totally be a freelance photographer now!”
A few years ago, Teng Ming had thought about studying fashion design, but he gave it up because the tuition was too expensive.
Now, chatting with Li Shuren about this topic piqued his interest.
The owner brought over the breakfast. Teng Ming asked Li Shuren to eat some more.
Li Shuren laughed. “No thanks. I ate almost three people’s worth this morning. If you don’t believe me, ask the boss.”
The owner said, “Haha, yes. He looks quite slender, but I didn’t expect him to have such a large appetite.”
Li Shuren said, “Hey, hey, Boss, don’t talk nonsense. Where am I slender? I’m very strong, okay? If you don’t believe me, I’ll show you my abs!” Saying this, he stood up from the booth and lifted his shirt.
The owner also laughed and said, “Why take it so seriously?”
Teng Ming said, “Boss, he purely wants to show off his abs!”
Only someone confident in their physique would dare to lift their shirt in such a setting.
Li Shuren not only had abs, but they were also very well-trained.
At this moment, Fan Ye walked out.
The three of them looked toward Fan Ye together.
Fan Ye looked at the scene, a disdainful smile appearing on his face. “Yo, we’re comparing abs here?”
The owner smiled and shook his head. “You’re up too? What would you like to eat?”
Fan Ye said, “Just your home-style cooking will do.”
“Coming right up!” With that, the owner went to the kitchen.
Li Shuren sat back down and greeted Fan Ye.
Fan Ye returned a “morning,” then walked up to Teng Ming and said, “Mingming, it’s not very good of you to sit here and bother people, is it?”
One could tell that this voice was a fake gentleness.
Teng Ming was angry at the moment, so he looked up and asked Li Shuren, “Shuren-ge, am I bothering you?”
Li Shuren shook his head. “Not at all.” He then said to Fan Ye, “I invited Mingming to sit here.”
Anyone with eyes could feel the atmosphere wasn’t right, yet this Li Shuren somehow didn’t feel it.
Fan Ye’s face immediately darkened. “Is ‘Mingming’ a name you should be calling him?”
The atmosphere suddenly became awkward.
Teng Ming frowned, looked at Fan Ye, and said, “Are you looking for trouble? Why are you speaking so impolitely?”
He said this to break the deadlock, and also because he was truly dissatisfied with Fan Ye.
Fan Ye was stunned. “Hey, how am I looking for trouble? You’re my partner; seeing someone else call you so affectionately, am I not allowed to say something?”
What made Teng Ming feel fortunate was that this guy didn’t say something like “You are my wife” after all.
“It’s just a title. Besides, he didn’t call me very affectionately,” Teng Ming said.
“I don’t care about all that; anyway, only I can call you that,” Fan Ye said, glancing at Li Shuren.
Li Shuren gave a helpless smile. “Fine, fine. Brother, I’m sorry, okay?”
Fan Ye didn’t answer but looked at Teng Ming, who was buried in his food.
Fine, how could he not know his own little boyfriend? He was clearly angry about what happened just now.
Fan Ye sat down beside Teng Ming and nudged him with his elbow. “That call just now was from my manager, so it took a bit long. Don’t be angry.”
Teng Ming didn’t speak and continued eating with his head down.
Seeing this, Fan Ye leaned his body slightly, trying to see Teng Ming’s expression.
The two happened to meet eyes.
Fan Ye showed a brilliant smile.
For some reason, there was always a trace of “bad boy” vibe in his smile a bit of a “bad boy” feel, and a bit of a sunny feel.
This was simply a lethal weapon for winning people over.
Fan Ye gently pinched Teng Ming’s cheek, full of doting.
Teng Ming wanted to continue pretending to be expressionless, but he broke character at once from the teasing.
“Stop it, I’m eating,” Teng Ming dodged.
Li Shuren couldn’t watch any longer. “Sigh, I’m too bright of a lightbulb (third wheel). I’ll head out first.” Saying this, he got up and left.
Teng Ming wanted to apologize to Li Shuren for this, but felt an apology would be very strange, so he just said goodbye.
Fan Ye, meanwhile, looked at Li Shuren’s retreating back with a face full of disdain.
Fan Ye nudged Teng Ming with his elbow again.
Teng Ming said, “What is it?”
Fan Ye said, “Wife, why aren’t you eating those fried eggs? Are you saving them for your husband?”
“In your dreams,” Teng Ming said. “Don’t you know I always save the eggs and meat for last?”
Fan Ye smacked his lips. “Ah, now that you mention it, I remember. Fine, let your husband, who exported protein all night, stay hungry then!”
Teng Ming let out a helpless sigh.
Don’t misunderstand; it wasn’t a sigh of disappointment, but a sigh of feeling sweetness.
“Fine, fine, here.” Teng Ming handed him the chopsticks.
You talk as if you were the only one exporting last night; I’m a man too, okay?
Fan Ye shook his head. “Wife, feed me.”
Teng Ming frowned. “Don’t push your luck!”
“Ah” Fan Ye opened his mouth.
Teng Ming looked at Fan Ye’s pink lips and lamented in his heart: Where did the “male god” he first knew go?
How to explain this sentence?
Let’s explain it like this:
When Fan Ye and Teng Ming first met, he was a total “cold male god,” as mentioned before.
The first time the two of them had dinner, Fan Ye didn’t talk much; he was always in a “you ask, I answer” state, while Teng Ming was extremely excited, constantly asking all sorts of questions and even picking up food for Fan Ye to eat.
After that first dinner, Teng Ming saw that Fan Ye hadn’t deleted his WeChat, so he felt there was a chance! He continued to invite him to dinner, using all sorts of excuses, such as: “I want to interview you about the mental journey of a G-film actor…”
After three dinners and a walk together, Teng Ming felt there was definitely a chance, so he took the initiative to hold his hand.
Guess what?
His hand was shaken off by Fan Ye!
