My Wife, So Fierce! - Chapter 83
Her pants had slipped down to her thighs at some point, her legs from the knees down encircled by her sister’s legs, the scorching heat from her sister continuously transferring over.
Even though the air conditioning was on indoors, she still felt a bit feverish.
Unable to resist, she moved her legs slightly, gently rubbing against the parts pressed against her sister. Then she bit and held her sister’s lower lip, remembering her sister’s words to be gentle, moving slowly and carefully, afraid of hurting her.
Her hand unconsciously slid downward, lightly landing on the smooth legs, her fingertips caressing, feeling the warmth beneath her palm, an unprecedented sense of satisfaction instantly washing over her.
But it didn’t take long before she gradually grew unsatisfied again.
She grabbed her phone to check the time, it was almost nine. Both she and her sister had gone to bed early last night, so her sister had gotten plenty of sleep.
So she intensified her movements slightly, biting her sister’s lips, grinding and sucking, then invading with her tongue, tangling it with her sister’s.
Her sleeping sister was always much more docile than usual, bullied by her until she could only retreat to the corner. But with such a small space, where could she possibly hide?
In the end, she was caught by Shen Baiyi, bitten and pulled out, then sucked on, not allowed to escape.
The next moment, her shoulders were gripped.
She paused her movements, lowered her gaze, and met her sister’s eyes. Seeing the dazed sleepiness still on her sister’s face, Shen Baiyi’s eyes flickered, and she tentatively whispered, “Sister, kiss me.”
Her newly awakened sister was obedient. Upon hearing her words, she actually leaned in and kissed her directly.
But the kiss was clumsy and somewhat perfunctory.
Seeing her sister’s eyes still closed, Shen Baiyi held back a laugh, lifted her chin, and kissed her eyes. “Sister, don’t sleep anymore. If you sleep too long, you’ll get a headache.”
Hearing this, Zheng Yao became a bit more awake.
Last time she slept too long, her head ached for a long time. Now, feeling somewhat clearer, she sat up.
As usual, she sat there in a daze.
But this time, there was someone beside her. She had only been sitting for a few seconds when Shen Baiyi leaned her head against her shoulder, pressing close. “What would you like to eat for breakfast, sister? I’ll make it for you.”
“Why bother?” Zheng Yao glanced at her. “Didn’t I say I’d take you around to try the local delicacies?”
Hearing this, Shen Baiyi immediately sat up straight, a hint of surprise in her voice. “Sister, are you staying here with me?”
“Hmm… Huh?” Zheng Yao caught on and glared at her. “What’s going on in your head? Are you still a elementary school student? Do you need a parent to accompany you?”
Getting the expected answer, Shen Baiyi sighed softly but retorted defiantly, “A parent? Do you still think of yourself as my parent, sister?”
As she spoke, she leaned in to kiss her. “If you’re my parent, can you kiss me like this?”
“If you’re my parent, can you?”
Seeing the girl about to fixate on this again, Zheng Yao directly covered her mouth and said without hesitation, “It’s your girlfriend accompanying you, your girlfriend. I misspoke earlier, okay?”
Shen Baiyi didn’t think it was okay.
Her sister probably hadn’t fully shifted her mindset yet and still saw herself as her parent.
Perhaps she should try not calling her “sister” so often and remind her more that she is her girlfriend.
“By the way,” she suddenly remembered something else, “Didn’t you mention before that you wanted to write a story about single mothers? How is the writing going? Was that the story you discussed with your friend when talking about work last time?”
Questions came one after another, leaving Zheng Yao momentarily speechless.
She never expected Shen Baiyi’s memory to be so sharp, still remembering this matter when she herself had forgotten ever mentioning it to Shen Baiyi.
“Sister?” Seeing her prolonged silence, Shen Baiyi lowered her head, “Is it something you can’t talk about? It’s fine, you don’t have to tell me if it’s inconvenient.”
Her dejected expression looked inexplicably pitiful. Though aware she might be doing it on purpose, Zheng Yao couldn’t help softening: “Yes, that was the story I discussed with her last time.”
After speaking, her gaze fell on Shen Baiyi’s face again.
If Shen Baiyi asked for the book title or her pen name, should she tell her?
“Then sister, was I helpful to you?” Shen Baiyi asked.
Zheng Yao froze. Was she helpful?
Probably yes?
During the initial period, she had genuinely cared for Shen Baiyi with a maternal mindset, though she didn’t know when exactly those feelings began to change, eventually developing into their current situation.
But admittedly, taking care of Shen Baiyi back then had brought her many novel experiences. Thinking back now, it seemed unbelievable that someone who could barely take care of herself had managed to concoct so many nourishing soups.
So she nodded without hesitation: “Yes.”
“That’s good.” Shen Baiyi’s eyes curved into smiles, “I’m glad I could be helpful to you.”
After waiting a moment, Zheng Yao expected Shen Baiyi to seize the opportunity to ask for something, but surprisingly, no request came after several seconds. She couldn’t help glancing at Shen Baiyi again.
Zheng Yao hesitated, wanting to speak: “You!”
“What’s wrong?” Shen Baiyi asked knowingly.
Seeing this, Zheng Yao swallowed her words, stubbornly refusing to bring it up first. By now fully awake, she directly got out of bed and walked out: “Nothing, let’s get up. We’ll have breakfast outside later.”
She moved quickly, entering the bathroom before Shen Baiyi could react.
She almost seemed to be fleeing in panic.
Shen Baiyi couldn’t help curling her lips. Why was sister still so timid?
–
By the time they finished washing up, it was already 9:30. Zheng Yao took her to a wonton shop she used to frequent.
This shop was better than many other wonton places, with thin wrappers and fragrant fillings. Zheng Yao finished her entire full bowl, only looking up to notice Shen Baiyi still had quite a bit left in hers.
After silently observing for a few seconds, Zheng Yao spoke: “Don’t you like wontons?”
In her memory, Shen Baiyi had always been the very easy-to-feed type, completely unpicky and eating everything.
This was the first time she’d seen Shen Baiyi appear to dislike something.
Or was she feeling unwell and had no appetite?
Remembering how Shen Baiyi immediately developed a fever after their tourist bus ride last time, she grew concerned: “Are you feeling sick?”
Shen Baiyi paused at the question, then shook her head: “I’m not unwell.”
“So you don’t like wontons?” Zheng Yao raised her eyebrows, quickly adding, “No lying.”
“Not really fond of them,” Shen Baiyi admitted.
Zheng Yao didn’t quite understand. In her perception, wontons and dumplings were practically the same. Shen Baiyi liked dumplings, but surprisingly didn’t like wontons?
How strange.
Of course, these thoughts remained hidden in her heart, not showing at all on her face. She said straightforwardly, “If you don’t like it, don’t eat it. I’ll take you to have something else no need to force yourself.”
“Okay.”
Shen Baiyi put down her chopsticks and breathed a sigh of relief.
For some reason, the sight of these wontons stirred a strong aversion in her, making it impossible to swallow. She couldn’t even pretend, feeling that if she ate a few more, she’d end up vomiting right in front of her sister.
Just after stepping out, they spotted a breakfast stall with a tricycle. Shen Baiyi pointed toward it and said, “Sister, I’ll just have a steamed bun.”
“Just a bun?” Zheng Yao felt it seemed a bit too perfunctory. “There are plenty of breakfast places nearby. Are you sure about this?”
Shen Baiyi replied, “It smells really good.”
“Alright then.”
Hearing this, Zheng Yao nodded and, hand in hand with Shen Baiyi, walked toward the breakfast stall.
It was a stall selling small steamed buns and dumplings, and the aroma was indeed enticing, accompanied by a prepared dipping sauce. The scent alone made Zheng Yao’s appetite stir, and she couldn’t resist sitting down with Shen Baiyi on the small stools the vendor had set up.
Even though she had just eaten her fill, she ended up indulging in several more bites alongside Shen Baiyi.
“Not bad at all,” she said, picking up another one with a satisfied expression. “The flavor is quite good.”
“Has Sister never tried this stall before?” Shen Baiyi asked.
“No,” Zheng Yao shook her head. “I’ve never seen this stall around before.”
Perhaps it had been there, but since starting university, she rarely ate breakfast. Combined with her tendency to sleep in, by the time she woke up, it was almost time for class hardly any opportunity to buy breakfast outside. As for holidays, she slept even later and never bothered with street stalls. Even that dumpling shop had been discovered during a late-night snack run.
“You see,” Shen Baiyi said with a slight smile, “even though Sister has been here for so many years, there are still undiscovered delicacies. So, you should definitely stay here and explore more delicious food with me.”
This girl barely a few words in, and she was steering the conversation back to that topic again.
Zheng Yao picked up a small steamed bun and stuffed it into her mouth. “Be good and eat a few more.”
An indirect way of shutting her up.
Shen Baiyi didn’t seem displeased, chewing the bun contentedly. How wonderful, a bun fed by Sister herself tasted even better than one she picked up on her own.
After this meal, Zheng Yao hardly needed lunch. She wandered around the supermarket with Shen Baiyi, bought some daily necessities, and then planned to drive home.
Before leaving, Zheng Yao still felt bad about not treating Zhuang Liulan to a meal, so while at the supermarket, she bought some fruit to bring over to Zhuang Liulan and the others.
“Sister, let me take it,” Shen Baiyi said, picking up the fruit. “I actually need to see Zhuang Yang about something.”
Hearing this, Zheng Yao nodded. “Alright.”
She couldn’t handle everything for Shen Baiyi matters of interpersonal etiquette were something Shen Baiyi needed to learn herself.
She reminded her, “Remember to thank them.”
If it weren’t for Zhuang Liulan, they might not have found a suitable apartment so quickly.
“Got it,” Shen Baiyi nodded in agreement.
Zhuang Yang’s apartment wasn’t on the same floor as hers whether it was Sister’s intention or the other party’s consideration, it allowed both of them some personal space.
Not overly intimate, yet able to support each other when needed.
But just as she stepped out of the elevator, she unexpectedly saw two people standing in the hallway.
No, one was standing, and one was sitting.
It was a woman in a wheelchair, beautiful and elegant, with a touch of coldness and arrogance on her face. Zhuang Liulan’s expression was also somewhat peculiar, and the atmosphere between the two was subtly tense.
Zhuang Liulan seemed to be blocking the person in the wheelchair, preventing her from leaving.
Shen Baiyi blinked.
“Dr. Zhuang?” she said with a smile, her gaze shifting to the woman. “Are you occupied at the moment?”
Zhuang Liulan’s expression remained rather unpleasant, and she did not step aside for the woman in the wheelchair just because Shen Baiyi was there. Instead, she nodded and said, “Mm, Zhuang Yang is at home. The door isn’t locked, you can go right in.”
Hearing this, Shen Baiyi was somewhat surprised.
Of course, she wasn’t foolish enough to linger there any longer and immediately walked past them into the house. As soon as she entered, she locked eyes with Zhuang Yang, who had been lurking furtively by the door.
