My Wife, So Fierce! - Chapter 77
Zheng Yao touched her nose: “I never said that.”
“But that’s what you meant, sister.” As Shen Baiyi spoke, her eyes slowly turned red. “We just got together, and you’re already tired of me.”
Zheng Yao rarely felt at a loss.
What nonsense, she just wanted Shen Baiyi to not work so hard. Why did this girl always focus on the wrong things?
She had forgotten that Shen Baiyi had always been poor at language arts, consistently dragging down her overall grades.
Deciding to be direct, she said: “I feel sorry for you and don’t want to see you running around busily. Understand?”
Satisfied with the answer, Shen Baiyi’s face gradually lit up. She curved her lips into a smile: “Now I understand. Sister likes me, so she feels sorry for me.”
That statement was indeed correct her concern did stem from affection but hearing Shen Baiyi say it so openly made Zheng Yao’s face grow warm.
However, since they had already reached this point, pride could take a back seat. With a serious expression, she said: “Now that you know I care, you’re not allowed to act like the industrious ‘Snail Girl’ anymore, got it?”
This time, Shen Baiyi’s comprehension was on point, and she replied obediently and promptly: “Understood, sister.”
After speaking, she hooked her arms around Zheng Yao’s neck, pressing close: “Sister, let’s watch a movie together later.”
Hearing this, Zheng Yao instantly became wary: “What kind of movie do you want to watch?”
It couldn’t be a horror film or some romance between two female leads, could it? Or, given Shen Baiyi’s boldness, did she want to watch something explicit?
The thought made every point of contact with Shen Baiyi feel scalding hot.
“I’ve been wanting to watch a comedy lately,” Shen Baiyi said, suppressing a laugh. “I want to watch it with you.”
“A comedy?” Zheng Yao was taken aback.
Shen Baiyi nodded, then smiled again: “Or did you have something else in mind to watch with me?”
Zheng Yao straightened her expression: “Who said that? Nonsense!”
She prepared to argue properly, but Shen Baiyi didn’t linger on the topic, meekly admitting her mistake: “I said it. I guessed wrong. Don’t be angry, sister.”
Then, eagerly, she opened the refrigerator: “Let me wash some fruit first. You sit and rest.”
She was still the same Shen Baiyi, attentive to every chore, completely disregarding what Zheng Yao had just said.
Zheng Yao thought for a moment, then brought out some snacks as well, arranging them together on the coffee table.
Shen Baiyi seemed to really enjoy watching movies. They would probably have many more movie nights in the future perhaps she should buy a projector.
Just as she was thinking this, Shen Baiyi came out with a plate of grapes.
“What’s the comedy you want to watch?” Zheng Yao had a membership that gave access to most films. When Shen Baiyi named the movie, she was slightly surprised and turned to look at her. “I remember the lead actress is that deskmate of yours? Did she recommend it to you?”
Shen Baiyi froze, taking several seconds to realize she was referring to Chen Xingyue.
After all this time, her sister still remembered Chen Xingyue.
Pursing her lips unhappily, she said quietly: “No.”
She wasn’t close to Chen Xingyue.
It was just that she had noticed Zheng Yao liking posts about this movie on an app before. Plus, the film had high ratings, a light and funny plot, and wasn’t dumbed down, so she wanted to watch it with her sister.
Who would have thought it would be starring Chen Xingyue.
Just as she was about to change her mind and pick another movie, she heard her sister say with a smile, “Looks like we’re on the same wavelength. I’ve been wanting to watch this movie for a while too.”
It just happened to be delayed until now because of the trip.
As she spoke, Zheng Yao clicked play.
Turning her head, she noticed Shen Baiyi’s complicated expression and raised her brows in surprise. “What’s wrong?”
“Nothing.” Shen Baiyi immediately shook her head. She snuggled up to Zheng Yao, not mentioning changing the movie at all, and even Chen Xingyue’s face started to look acceptable.
Although Chen Xingyue wasn’t likable, how could that compare to being on the same wavelength with her sister?
She’d just have to make do with it.
At school, she hadn’t paid much attention to Chen Xingyue, but now she couldn’t help staring right at her.
Chen Xingyue’s acting was pretty good. Even though she hadn’t interacted much with her, she could clearly tell that the character in the movie was very different from the real her.
Maybe her sense of humor was too high, or maybe it was the unavoidable awkwardness of watching someone she knew perform, but she just couldn’t get into the plot.
Meanwhile, her sister beside her laughed nonstop throughout the entire movie, shaking with laughter. Shen Baiyi rarely saw her laugh like this and unconsciously shifted her gaze entirely to her face, forgetting about the movie altogether.
When she laughed, her eyes would always unconsciously curve, making her whole face look much softer and sweeter. Shen Baiyi was mesmerized.
Her sister was the most beautiful person she had ever seen.
She was beautiful when she laughed, beautiful when she was angry, and even when she was drunk and asleep, she was stunningly pretty.
Before, she had only thought about how to please her sister so she could stay for a long time, often overlooking her sister’s beauty.
So much so that now she didn’t even know how to express the joy in her heart. This sister was actually hers already. Thinking of this, the smile in her eyes deepened.
An unprecedented sense of satisfaction overwhelmed all her senses. Shen Baiyi couldn’t help leaning forward and kissing her sister on the cheek.
But she was pushed away as soon as their skin touched.
Her view blocked, Zheng Yao’s smile faded slightly. “Don’t mess around.”
As she spoke, her eyes remained fixed on the screen, unwilling to look away. It really was a good movie, quite interesting to watch.
Within seconds, something cold was pressed against her lips.
“Sister, the grapes are delicious.”
She lowered her head, her gaze lingering on the peeled grape for a few seconds before opening her mouth to eat it. The grapes they bought this time were sour, and Zheng Yao frowned at the tartness.
Just after swallowing, another grape was pressed against her lips.
Zheng Yao: “…”
She had a feeling that if she didn’t say anything, Shen Baiyi would keep feeding her.
She leaned back slightly, her gaze falling on Shen Baiyi’s face with a hint of complaint. “It’s too sour. I don’t like it.”
As soon as she finished speaking, she saw Shen Baiyi’s eyelashes tremble, as if tears were about to fall the next second.
“Alright.”Zheng Yao had thought Shen Baiyi would try to act pitiful or act cute, but instead, the other girl just said those two words before lowering her gaze and putting the grape into her own mouth.”
Somehow, this made Zheng Yao even more concerned.
Zheng Yao really couldn’t stand seeing her look so pitiful. Even after staring at the screen for a while, all she could think about was Shen Baiyi’s dejected expression.
She could no longer focus on the movie.
After a moment of silence, she secretly glanced at Shen Baiyi out of the corner of her eye.
It was clearly a comedy film, but Shen Baiyi’s face was as serious as if she were watching a documentary.
After a moment’s thought, Zheng Yao picked up a grape, peeled it, and somewhat awkwardly pressed it against Shen Baiyi’s lips.
“Sister?”
Shen Baiyi lifted her gaze to look at her.
Without another word, Zheng Yao directly pushed the grape into her mouth and raised an eyebrow. “Didn’t you say it was delicious?”
She rarely did things like feeding someone by hand, to be precise, this was the first time. Her movements were a bit clumsy, and when she pushed the grape in, she couldn’t control her strength, accidentally slipping her own finger in as well.
Her finger was instantly enveloped in warmth and moisture, the tip even lightly brushed by Shen Baiyi’s tongue. Zheng Yao’s pupils contracted slightly, and she immediately pulled her hand back.
“Thank you, sister.” Shen Baiyi’s gaze lingered on her, her tone soft. “I really like it.”
For some reason, Zheng Yao felt her eyes seemed somewhat profound. Before she could take a closer look, Shen Baiyi had already averted her gaze.
From her angle, she could clearly see the curve of Shen Baiyi’s lips.
Zheng Yao couldn’t help but smile along with her.
Now she somewhat understood why Shen Baiyi was always so insistent on cooking for her personally.
This sense of satisfaction was quite addictive.
Within seconds, she couldn’t resist picking up another grape, carefully peeling it, and offering it to Shen Baiyi’s lips again.
Logically, she should have been more experienced this time. She controlled her strength, but in the end, when Shen Baiyi opened her mouth to bite, she still lightly nibbled on her finger.
As if on purpose.
But Shen Baiyi’s expression was so natural that Zheng Yao felt uncertain. Since it wasn’t a big deal anyway, she brushed it off and continued peeling grapes for Shen Baiyi.
However, when Shen Baiyi bit her fingertip for the fifth time, Zheng Yao didn’t rush to pull her hand back. Instead, she pressed down with her thumb, directly pinning the mischievous tongue.
She lifted her gaze to meet Shen Baiyi’s eyes. “Since when did you become a puppy, so fond of biting people?”
“Sister, don’t you know?” Shen Baiyi, caught red-handed, showed no guilt. Her tongue curled, sweeping over Zheng Yao’s fingertip once more, her eyes curving into smiles. “I’ve always been sister’s puppy.”
Zheng Yao: “…”
The Shen Baiyi before her seemed like a temptress. Suddenly, she had a vague feeling that if she were to date Shen Baiyi, she would be the one easily led astray.
Wouldn’t that be too embarrassing?
She was five years older, how could she let a young girl lead her around?
At this thought, she clenched her other hand hanging at her side. Taking a deep breath, she forced herself to suppress any urge to retreat, pulled her hand out, but didn’t hurry to withdraw it.
Without hesitation, she pinched Shen Baiyi’s chin and leaned in. “You want to be my puppy?”
As the distance between them closed, she tilted her head slightly, adopting a posture as if to kiss her.
Of course, she didn’t actually go through with it.
But Shen Baiyi didn’t close her eyes as she had expected. Instead, she stared straight at her, laying bare Zheng Yao’s original intention to tease her.
“Sister?” Shen Baiyi’s gaze remained unchanged, but her breathing grew uneven.
“If you want to be my puppy, you have to be obedient,” Zheng Yao said softly.
Shen Baiyi replied without hesitation, “Okay.”
Seeing this, Zheng Yao’s eyes darkened. How could she be so naive, agreeing to everything so easily? She wouldn’t even know if someone tried to deceive her in the future.
Zheng Yao decided it was time to teach Shen Baiyi a proper lesson.
She shifted slightly, adjusting her posture, and patted her thigh toward Shen Baiyi. “Come sit here.”
Though Shen Baiyi had gained some weight recently, she still felt almost weightless when seated on Zheng Yao’s lap. Zheng Yao wrapped her arms around Shen Baiyi’s waist, and within moments, her senses were filled with Shen Baiyi’s scent.
Her heart pounded like thunder, an uncontrollable nervousness taking over.
But she couldn’t show any timidity. She reached out, gently grasped Shen Baiyi’s chin, and pressed a soft kiss to her lips.
Zheng Yao had already lost count of how many times they’d kissed today, but the moment their lips met, she could instantly feel both her own and Shen Baiyi’s excitement.
She loved kissing Shen Baiyi.
And undoubtedly, Shen Baiyi loved kissing her too.
She slowly trailed kisses down to Shen Baiyi’s ear and whispered, “Shall we use our tongues?”
Putting theory into practice those adult films she’d watched back then hadn’t been entirely useless after all.
