My Wife, So Fierce! - Chapter 63
“Miss Zheng, if your legs are sore from horseback riding today, you can try applying this ointment. It’ll make you feel much better.”
Remembering that Shen Baiyi had just mentioned her buttocks were chafed and painful, Zheng Yao expressed her gratitude: “Thank you.”
“No need to be so polite with me.” The woman smiled, then took out her phone and asked shyly, “Could we exchange WeChat? I… I really like you. May I pursue you?”
The other party’s directness caught Zheng Yao off guard.
Before she could respond, Shen Baiyi’s presence suddenly swept over her. Leaning her head against Zheng Yao’s shoulder from behind, Shen Baiyi overstepped her boundaries and answered for her: “No.”
Zheng Yao stiffened but didn’t push Shen Baiyi away.
Yet she had no idea how intimate this posture appeared. From an angle Zheng Yao couldn’t see, Shen Baiyi made no attempt to conceal her possessiveness and aggression.
The woman asking for WeChat immediately looked embarrassed: “Sorry, I’ll be going then. I wish you both a wonderful evening.”
The other person had clearly misunderstood their relationship.
“Let go.”
Zheng Yao uncomfortably pushed Shen Baiyi away. After what happened last night, she could no longer deceive herself – Shen Baiyi truly saw her as an older sister.
No younger sister would slip her tongue deep into her sister’s mouth for a passionate kiss, nor would any younger sister pinch and knead her sister’s cherry between her legs.
At times like these, Shen Baiyi was always at her most obedient.
She obediently released her hold and followed her sister back inside, but noticing the somewhat unpleasant expression on Zheng Yao’s face, Shen Baiyi couldn’t help raising her eyebrows: “Is sister angry? Did sister actually want to exchange WeChat with that person?”
Zheng Yao looked up and retorted sharply: “What if I did?”
Speaking up to this point, she had a sudden inspiration and said seriously: “Lately I’ve been looking for a girlfriend. I’m not opposed to that person from earlier – perhaps I could try having a relationship with her.”
Shen Baiyi clenched her fists.
“Date her?” She struggled to contain her emotions. “Is sister planning on a long-distance relationship? Or would sister be willing to live on the grassland for her, herding cattle and sheep with her during the day, sleeping in a yurt full of insects at night?”
Zheng Yao: “…”
Zheng Yao certainly couldn’t do that.
Those cattle and sheep were fine to watch from a distance, but up close they smelled terrible – the odor alone made her want to vomit.
And this yurt indeed had many mosquitoes and insects. Shen Baiyi had been spraying mosquito repellent constantly earlier. Enduring one night was barely tolerable, but living here permanently would be the death of her.
Yet she couldn’t appear defeated before Shen Baiyi, so she stubbornly insisted: “What’s so unwilling about that? For love, I could.”
Her words trailed off abruptly.
She didn’t dare continue.
Shen Baiyi’s expression looked dangerous. As if if she said one more word, the other would kiss her forcefully regardless of the circumstances.
She chickened out.
“Why did sister stop talking?” Shen Baiyi’s tone was faint and haunting. “For love, how far would sister go?”
Zheng Yao put on a stern face: “With so much to say, is your butt no longer sore?”
“It hurts.”
Shen Baiyi obediently lowered her head, somewhat subdued.
Soon, she reached out and tugged gently at her sister’s arm, swaying it: “Will sister help apply medicine for me?”
Zheng Yao fell silent.
This was an awkward question.
That area was far too private. Logically speaking, given their current relationship, she shouldn’t be the one applying ointment there. But the spot was on the backside, and Shen Baiyi didn’t have eyes on her back, she couldn’t possibly see it herself.
“Are you sure it hurts?”
Zheng Yao frowned slightly. After realizing Shen Baiyi’s feelings for her, she’d begun to suspect that Shen Baiyi might be deliberately exaggerating the pain just to tease her.
“It really hurts.” Shen Baiyi nodded firmly, her eyes glistening with tears. “It stings with every move.”
“But I don’t feel any pain.” Zheng Yao remained skeptical. “Shen Baiyi, I’ve been riding horses longer than you have.”
Hearing this, Shen Baiyi pressed her lips together tightly.
She released her grip and grumbled irritably, “If Sister doesn’t believe me, then forget it!”
With that, she turned and walked toward the bed, took off her shoes, and lay down facing away from the outside world.
Zheng Yao: “…”
Was Shen Baiyi throwing a tantrum at her?
This was an entirely new experience Shen Baiyi actually losing her temper with her?
Zheng Yao felt both annoyed and amused. She walked to the bedside, leaned over, and poked Shen Baiyi’s waist. “What are you doing?”
Shen Baiyi had always been ticklish. The poke made her arch her back slightly, and she squirmed further inward.
Zheng Yao feigned seriousness. “You haven’t bathed yet. You’re all dirty and you’ll soil the bed.”
Shen Baiyi sat up gloomily, her emotions unusually transparent. “Sister doesn’t care about me at all!”
“Haven’t you always said I treat you the best?” Zheng Yao crossed her arms, mercilessly exposing the inconsistency in Shen Baiyi’s words.
Shen Baiyi was indeed stumped.
After a long pause, she lowered her head. “Sister would treat anyone this well.”
“Are you calling me a central air conditioner?” Zheng Yao scoffed. “Or do you think I’m running a charity?”
Shen Baiyi fell silent.
The two were at an impasse.
Just as Zheng Yao took a deep breath and decided not to argue with a child, Shen Baiyi suddenly threw herself into her arms, wrapping her arms tightly around Zheng Yao’s waist. Her voice was muffled. “Sister, I was wrong. Please don’t add her on WeChat. I don’t like her.”
Shen Baiyi’s sudden surrender took Zheng Yao by surprise, but the current position left her even more flustered.
Shen Baiyi’s head was buried against her chest.
After what happened last night, Zheng Yao couldn’t help overthinking things.
Shen Baiyi suddenly tilted her head, pressing her cheek against Zheng Yao’s chest as if listening intently. “Sister, your heartbeat is so fast.”
Zheng Yao didn’t hesitate any longer. She pushed Shen Baiyi away and said sternly, “Who I like and who I befriend is my personal freedom. You have no right to interfere.”
Her words were exceptionally harsh.
Shen Baiyi’s head drooped. She clenched her fists, struggling to control her emotions, when suddenly her head was tapped.
“Lie down,” Zheng Yao said impatiently.
Shen Baiyi was stunned. “Huh?”
Seeing her dazed expression, Zheng Yao lifted her chin slightly and said coldly, “Didn’t you say your butt hurts?”
Hearing this, Shen Baiyi’s eyes flickered. She pursed her lips, looking somewhat wronged. “But Sister didn’t believe me.”
Zheng Yao’s face remained expressionless. “Three!”
Shen Baiyi immediately lay flat on the bed, not giving Zheng Yao a chance to continue counting.
Seeing her comply, Zheng Yao took a deep breath and steeled herself to pull down Shen Baiyi’s pants.
After all, she wasn’t the one being exposed, and she wasn’t the one at a disadvantage. What was there to fear? Why hesitate? Just pull the pants down and get it over with.
When the trousers were pulled down, Zheng Yao had initially thought Shen Baiyi was feigning pitifulness, but she never expected Shen Baiyi’s buttocks to actually be rubbed red.
It didn’t look too severe both sides were reddened, with some areas even having broken skin.
Just looking at it was painful.
Zheng Yao frowned, all lingering romantic thoughts vanishing instantly. She quickly opened the ointment, applied some to her fingertip, and reached out to carefully rub it on Shen Baiyi.
The ointment felt cool, and Shen Baiyi instinctively flinched.
The next moment, her waist was suddenly held firmly.
“Don’t move.”
Shen Baiyi’s mind instantly exploded with bursts of fireworks. She bit her lip, suppressing her delight, quietly feeling every movement of her sister’s fingers behind her.
The hand gripping her waist didn’t let go. The cool ointment was slowly spread evenly over her skin, and a tingling sensation spread from her tailbone in all directions. She bit her lip so hard it nearly bled, just to keep any moans from escaping.
But the body doesn’t lie.
Feeling the changes in her body, Shen Baiyi’s face burned fiercely. She couldn’t help but squirm slightly and let out a pleading sigh: “Sister!”
She regretted it.
If she had known it would be like this, she shouldn’t have asked her sister to apply the ointment just to gain a little more favor in her eyes. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have ended up so aroused with no way to relieve it.
Her calculated act of suffering had backfired, leaving her in agony.
“Does it hurt?” Zheng Yao, unaware of her thoughts, withdrew her hand upon hearing her pitiful cry.
The ointment had been applied, but it wasn’t the right time to put the trousers back on. Such a large area was exposed, making Zheng Yao’s face flush red. Shen Baiyi, too embarrassed, didn’t dare lift her head.
“No.”
Shen Baiyi buried her face completely in the blanket, her voice muffled.
Seeing this, Zheng Yao tugged at her. “Lift your face. This blanket isn’t as clean as the ones at home. Rubbing your face against it, aren’t you afraid your skin will break out?”
As she spoke, she reached out and pinched Shen Baiyi’s chin, preventing her from burying her entire face in the blanket.
Shen Baiyi took the opportunity to pull up her trousers, trying to cover herself before she became even more disheveled.
But her wrist was quickly grabbed.
“What are you doing?” Zheng Yao frowned.
“Sister, I want to put on my trousers.” Shen Baiyi’s face burned with embarrassment.
“You just applied the ointment. Why are you putting on trousers?” Zheng Yao kept her eyes fixed on Shen Baiyi’s face. “Lie down properly. I’ve locked the door, no one else will come in.”
She could clearly see the shame and discomfort on Shen Baiyi’s face, but she felt Shen Baiyi needed a lesson to deter her from daring to cross boundaries again.
However, since arriving on the grassland, Shen Baiyi seemed to have encountered nothing but misfortune falling ill, getting injured, with wounds on her face and knees still healing, and now this injury on her backside.
Suddenly, Zheng Yao realized that Shen Baiyi’s current position, lying face down, might be pressing painfully against her chest.
Last night, it seemed Shen Baiyi’s chest had also been chafed.
But Shen Baiyi hadn’t said a word, so Zheng Yao held back from asking. Her own chest still ached.
To this day, she couldn’t understand how Shen Baiyi could be so bold as to bite her chest until the skin broke, leaving it sore even now.
Did she assume I would suffer in silence?
The thought made Zheng Yao seethe with frustration.
The soundproofing of the yurt was practically nonexistent, and the noises from the bonfire party outside drifted in.
Shen Baiyi shifted slightly, her eyes lighting up. “Sister, it’s the bonfire party you were looking forward to.”
“What are you moving for?” Zheng Yao mercilessly pressed her back down. “In your current state sick and injured and you still want to attend the bonfire party?”
She put on a stern face: “Don’t even think about it.”
Fragile like a delicate vase, ready to shatter at the slightest touch she really didn’t dare take her out running around again.
“Sis, it’s rare that we’re out,” Shen Baiyi stared straight at her, speaking in a pitiful tone. “I don’t want to be cooped up here. Let’s go have fun together.”
Zheng Yao: “…”
She really couldn’t stand Shen Baiyi.
If pretending to be pitiful didn’t work, she’d start learning to act coquettish?
But with all the excitement outside, even she herself was feeling tempted, it was only natural for Shen Baiyi to be drawn to it too.
“Sis?”
While Zheng Yao was still hesitating, Shen Baiyi had already gotten up from the bed, pulled her pants up in one swift motion, and wrapped her arms around her, shaking her gently. “Sis, take me with you, please?”
Her voice was drawn-out and soft, in a tone she had never used before.
Zheng Yao felt her scalp tingle. “Let go. Do whatever you want.”
Fine, have it your way. She wasn’t going to bother controlling her anymore.
